| 1 | Testing and Improving the Performance of the Common Land Model:A Case Study for the Gobi Landscape显示文摘Land surface processes take place on the interface between the earth and atmosphere, exerting significant influences on the weather and climate. Correct modeling of these processes is important to numerical weather forecast and climate prediction. In order to obtain a more thorough understanding of the land surface processes over the Gobi landscape, we evaluated the performance of the Common Land Model(Co LM) at Dunhuang station in Gansu Province of China to determine whether the model formulation, driven by observational data, is capable of simulating surface fluxes over the underlying desert surface. In comparison with the enhanced observation data collected at Dunhuang station over the period 22–28 August 2008, the results showed that the surface albedo simulated by Co LM was larger than that in the observation, and the simulated surface temperature was lower than the observed. After the measured values were used to correct the surface albedo, the solar radiation absorbed by the ground surface was more consistent with the measurements. A new empirical relationship of the surface thermal exchange coefficient rah was used to modify the thermal aerodynamic impedance. | 2 | Identification of Cognitive Dysfunction in Patients with T2DM Using Whole Brain Functional Connectivity显示文摘Majority of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients are highly susceptible to several forms of cognitive impairments,particularly dementia.However,the underlying neural mechanism of these cognitive impairments remains unclear.We aimed to investigate the correlation between whole brain resting state functional connections(RSFCs)and the cognitive status in 95 patients with T2DM.We constructed an elastic net model to estimate the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)scores,which served as an index of the cognitive status of the patients,and to select the RSFCs for further prediction.Subsequently,we utilized a machine learning technique to evaluate the discriminative ability of the connectivity pattern associated with the selected RSFCs.The estimated and chronological MoCA scores were significantly correlated with R=0.81 and the mean absolute error(MAE)=1.20.Additionally,cognitive impairments of patients with T2DM can be identified using the RSFC pattern with classification accuracy of 90.54%and the area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve(AUC)of 0.9737.This connectivity pattern not only included the connections between regions within the default mode network(DMN),but also the functional connectivity between the task-positive networks and the DMN,as well as those within the task-positive networks.The results suggest that an RSFC pattern could be regarded as a potential biomarker to identify the cognitive status of patients with T2DM. | Zhenyu Liu Jiangang Liu Huijuan Yuan Taiyuan Liu Xingwei Cui Zhenchao Tang Yang Du Meiyun Wang Yusong Lin Jie Tian | 2019 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2019,17,4: | 4 |
| 3 | Upconversion nanoparticles@AgBiS_(2) core-shell nanoparticles with cancer-cell-specific cytotoxicity for combined photothermal and photodynamic therapy of cancers显示文摘UCNPs@AgBiS_(2) core-shell nanoparticles that AgBiS_(2) coated on the surface of upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) was successfully prepared through an ion exchange reaction. The photothermal conversion efficiency of AgBiS_(2) can be improved from 14.7% to 45% due to the cross relaxation between Nd ions and AgBiS_(2). The doping concentration of Nd ions played a critical role in the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and enhanced the photothermal conversion efficiency. The NaYF4:Yb/Er/Nd@NaYF4:Nd nanoparticles endows strong upcon-version emissions when the doped concentration of Nd ions is 1% in the inner core, which excites the AgBiS_(2) shell to produce ROS for photodynamic therapy (PDT) of cancer cells. As a result, the as-prepared NaYF4:Yb/Er/ Nd@NaYF4:Nd@AgBiS_(2) core-shell nanoparticles showed combined photothermal/photodynamic therapy (PTT/ PDT) against malignant tumors. | 9 | Tip-induced bond weakening, tilting, and hopping of a single CO molecule on Cu(100)显示文摘The interaction between a probing tip and an adsorbed molecule can significantly impact the molecular chemical structure and even induce its motion on the surface.In this study,the tip-induced bond weakening,tilting,and hopping processes of a single molecule were investigated by sub-nanometre resolved tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(TERS).We used single carbon monoxide(CO)molecules adsorbed on the Cu(100)surface as a model system for the investigation.The vibrational frequency of the C−O stretching mode is always redshifted as the tip approaches,revealing the weakening of the C−O bond owing to tip−molecule interactions.Further analyses of both the vibrational Stark effect and TERS imaging patterns suggest a delicate tilting phenomenon of the adsorbed CO molecule on Cu(100),which eventually leads to lateral hopping of the molecule.While a tilting orientation is found toward the hollow site along the[110]direction of the Cu(100)surface,the hopping event is more likely to proceed via the bridge site to the nearest Cu neighbour along the[100]or[010]direction.Our results provide deep insights into the microscopic mechanisms of tip−molecule interactions and tip-induced molecular motions on surfaces at the single-bond level. | Xiaoru Dong Ben Yang Rui Zhu Ruipu Wang Yang Zhang Yao Zhang Zhenchao Dong | 2022 | Light(Advanced Manufacturing)2022,3,4: | 0 |

| 12 | Detection of abnormal hydroponic lettuce leaves based on image processing and machine learning显示文摘Accurate and fast detection of abnormal hydroponic lettuce leaves is primary technology for robotic sorting.Yellow and rotten leaves are main types of abnormal leaves in hydroponic lettuce.This study aims to demonstrate a feasibility of detecting yellow and rotten leaves of hydroponic lettuce by machine learning models,i.e.Multiple Linear Regression(MLR),K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),and Support Vector Machine(SVM).One-way analysis of variance was applied to reduce RGB,HSV,and L*a*b*features number of hydroponic lettuce images.Image binarization,image mask,and image filling methods were employed to segment hydroponic lettuce from an image for models testing.Results showed that G,H,and a*were selected from RGB,HSV,and L*a*b*for training models.It took about 20.25 s to detect an image with 30244032 pixels by KNN,which was much longer than MLR(0.61 s)and SVM(1.98 s).MLR got detection accuracies of 89.48%and 99.29%for yellow and rotten leaves,respectively,while SVM reached 98.33%and 97.91%,respectively.SVM was more robust than MLR in detecting yellow and rotten leaves of hydroponic.Thus,it was possible for abnormal hydroponic lettuce leaves detection by machine learning methods. | Ruizhe Yang Zhenchao Wu Wentai Fang Hongliang Zhang Wenqi Wang Longsheng Fu Yaqoob Majeed Rui Li Yongjie Cui | 2023 | Information Processing in Agriculture2023,10,1: | 0 |

| 14 | Effects of Pulsed Magnetic Field on Biochemical and Physiological Characters and Ultrastructure of Pine Wood Nematode显示文摘In this paper,we employed the pulsed magnetic field(PMF) processing to investigate the effect of different pulse rise time and treatment time on the survival,reproduction,cellulase activity and surface characteristics of the pine wood nematode (PWN).The results showed that the wider pulse and the longer treatment time were able to reduce the survival,and inhibit the cellulase activity and reproduction of PWN.The 4th instar and females had a strong resistance to the pulsed magnetic field. With pulse rise time of 10 ms and the treatment of 60 min,the adjusted mortality of PWN was 100%. | 17 | P7C3-A20 treats traumatic brain injury in rats by inhibiting excessive autophagy and apoptosis显示文摘Traumatic brain injury is a severe health problem leading to autophagy and apoptosis in the brain.3,6-Dibromo-beta-fluoro-N-(3-methoxyphenyl)-9H-carbazole-9-propanamine(P7C3-A20)can be neuroprotective in various diseases,including ischemic stroke and neurodegenerative diseases.However,whether P7C3-A20 has a therapeutic effect on traumatic brain injury and its possible molecular mechanisms are unclear.Therefore,in the present study,we investigated the therapeutic effects of P7C3-A20 on traumatic brain injury and explored the putative underlying molecular mechanisms.We established a traumatic brain injury rat model using a modified weight drop method.P7C3-A20 or vehicle was injected intraperitoneally after traumatic brain injury.Severe neurological deficits were found in rats after traumatic brain injury,with deterioration in balance,walking function,and learning memory.Furthermore,hematoxylin and eosin staining showed significant neuronal cell damage,while terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick end labeling staining indicated a high rate of apoptosis.The presence of autolysosomes was observed using transmission electron microscope.P7C3-A20 treatment reversed these pathological features.Western blotting showed that P7C3-A20 treatment reduced microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3-Ⅱ(LC3-Ⅱ)autophagy protein,apoptosis-related proteins(namely,Bcl-2/adenovirus E1B 19-kDa-interacting protein 3[BNIP3],and Bcl-2 associated x protein[Bax]),and elevated ubiquitin-binding protein p62(p62)autophagy protein expression.Thus,P7C3-A20 can treat traumatic brain injury in rats by inhibiting excessive autophagy and apoptosis. | Zhiqing Yang Zhenchao Wang Xiaoqi Deng Lingxin Zhu Zhaomeng Song Changyu Cao Xinran Li | 2024 | Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,5: | 0 |
| 18 | Preparation and Properties of Hybrid Silane-crosslinked Sulfonated Poly(aryl ether ketone)s as Proton Exchange Membranes显示文摘A series of novel organic-inorganic hybrid proton-conducting electrolyte membranes with silane-crosslinked sulfonated poly(aryl ether ketone)(SC-SPAEK) networks was prepared via a simple procedure that includes solution casting and acid treatment. The organosilicon pendants of the silane-grafted SPAEK, which were expected to serve as coupling and crosslinking agents, were found to play a key role in the homogenous dispersion of inorganic particles and improved the performance of hybrid membranes. The hybrid membranes exhibited enhanced proton conductivity, and SC-SPAEK/TiO2-4 showed an extremely high proton conductivity of 0.1472 S/cm at 100℃. The crosslinked hybrid membranes also demonstrated good chemical resistance, oxidative stability, and mechanical properties.
