| 4 | Influence of Non-smooth Surface on Tribological Properties of Glass Fiber-epoxy Resin Composite Sliding against Stainless Steel under Natural Seawater Lubrication显示文摘With the development of bionics, the bionic non-smooth surfaces are introduced to the field of tribology. Although non-smooth surface has been studied widely, the studies of non-smooth surface under the natural seawater lubrication are still very fewer, especially experimental research. The influences of smooth and non-smooth surface on the frictional properties of the glass fiber-epoxy resin composite(GF/EPR) coupled with stainless steel 316 L are investigated under natural seawater lubrication in this paper. The tested non-smooth surfaces include the surfaces with semi-spherical pits, the conical pits, the cone-cylinder combined pits, the cylindrical pits and through holes. The friction and wear tests are performed using a ring-on-disc test rig under 60 N load and 1000 r/min rotational speed. The tests results show that GF/EPR with bionic non-smooth surface has quite lower friction coefficient and better wear resistance than GF/EPR with smooth surface without pits. The average friction coefficient of GF/EPR with semi-spherical pits is 0.088, which shows the largest reduction is approximately 63.18% of GF/EPR with smooth surface. In addition, the wear debris on the worn surfaces of GF/EPR are observed by a confocal scanning laser microscope. It is shown that the primary wear mechanism is the abrasive wear. | 5 | Experimental Study on Influence of Dimples on Lubrication Performance of Glass Fiber-epoxy Resin Composite under Natural Seawater Lubrication显示文摘Bionic non-smooth surface is widely applied in metal and ceramics materials. In order to introduce this technology to high pressure seawater pump, the influence of bionic non-smooth surface on the engineering plastics used in pump should be investigated. The comparative tests are carried out with a ring-on-disc configuration under 800, 1000, 1200 and 1400 r/min in order to research the influence of the bionic non-smooth surface on glass fiber-epoxy resin composite(GF/EPR) under natural seawater lubrication. The disc surfaces are textured with five kinds of pits, which are semi-spherical, conical, cone-cylinder combined, cylindrical pits and through holes, respectively. A smooth surface is tested as reference. The results show that the lubrication performance of dimpled GF/EPR sample is much better than that of the smooth sample under all rotational speeds. The semi-spherical pits surface has more obvious friction reduction than the others, which shows that the least reduction is approximately 43.29% of smooth surface under 1200 r/min. However, the wear level is only marginally influenced by dimples. The surface morphology investigations disclose severe modifications caused by abrasive wear primarily. | 13 | Crystal-KMC: Parallel Software for Lattice Dynamics Monte Carlo Simulation of Metal Materials显示文摘Kinetic Monte Carlo(KMC) is a widely used method for studying the evolution of materials at the microcosmic level. At present, while there are many simulation software programs based on this algorithm, most focus on the verification of a certain phenomenon and have no analog-scale requirement, so many are serial in nature. The dynamic Monte Carlo algorithm is implemented using a parallel framework called SPPARKS, but it does not support the Embedded Atom Method(EAM) potential, which is commonly used in the dynamic simulation of metal materials. Metal material — the preferred material for most containers and components — plays an important role in many fields, including construction engineering and transportation. In this paper, we propose and describe the development of a parallel software program called Crystal-KMC, which is specifically used to simulate the lattice dynamics of metallic materials. This software uses MPI to achieve a parallel multiprocessing mode, which avoid the limitations of serial software in the analog scale. Finally, we describe the use of the parallel-KMC simulation software Crystal-KMC in simulating the diffusion of vacancies in iron, and analyze the experimental results. | 14 | Characterization of Fe5(AsO3)3Cl2(OH)4·5H2O,a new ferric arsenite hydroxychloride precipitated from FeCl3-As2O3-HCl solutions relevant to arsenic immobilization显示文摘Tooeleite(Fe6(As03)4 SO4(OH)4·4 H2 O)is widely precipitated for direct As(III)removal from sulfate-rich industrial effluents.However,whether or not Fe(III)-As(III)-Cl(-I)precipitate is produced in chloridizing leaching media for As immobilization is almost unknown.This work founded the existence of ferric arsenite(hydroxy)chloride as a new mineral for As(III)removal.Its chemical composition and solid characterization were subsequently studied by using scanning electron microscope with an energy dispersive spectrometer(SEM-EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),infrared(FT-IR),Raman spectroscopy and thermogravimetric(TG)curve.The results showed the formation of a yellow precipitate after 3-days reaction of Fe(III)/As(III)with molar ratio≈1.7 in chloride solution at pH 2.3 neutralized with NaOH.Compared with tooeleite,chemical analysis and solid characterization indicated that Cl(-I)replaces S04(-II)producing ferric arsenite hydroxychloride with formula Fe5(As03)3-Cl2(OH)4·5 H2 O.This new plate shaped solid showed better crytallinity than tooeleite,although it has similar morphology and characteristic bands to tooeleite.The FT-IR bands at 628,964 cm-1 and the Raman bands at 448,610,961 cm-1 were assigned to Fe-O or As(Ⅲ)-O-Fe or As(Ⅲ)-O bending/stretching vibration,indicating that both arsenite and chloride substituted for the position of sulfate for ferric arsenite hydro xychloride produced due to the lack of the SO42-vibrations.Cl-(I)also contributed to increase As removal efficiency in aqueous sulfate media under acidic pH conditions via the probable formation of sulfatechloride ferric arsenite. | Zidan Yuan Xu Ma Xing Wu Guoqing Zhang Xin Wang Shaofeng Wang Yongfeng Jia | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,4: | 2 |

| 18 | Tamoxifen attenuates reactive astrocyte-induced brain metastasis and drug resistance through the IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathway显示文摘Brain metastasis affects approxim ately 20%-30%of patients w ith triple-negative breast cancers(TNBCs).Even sm all metastatic lesions in the brain can trigg er severe neurological im pairm ents and result in extrem ely short survival time.Recently,active astrocytes were reported to be associated w ith brain metastases.However,how activated astrocytes regulate the behaviors of disseminated breast cancer cells in the brain remains unknown.In this study,human prim ary astrocytes were stim ulated w ith IL-1β to form active astrocytes to study the cross-talk between strom al cells(astrocytes)and TNBC cells in brain metastases.Our results showed that active astrocytes significantly increase the m alignancy of TNBC cells and prevent them from undergoing apoptosis caused by doxorubicin.We also found that the high level of IL-6 secreted by activated astrocytes was responsible for the drug resistance of breast cancer,which could be abolished by treatm ent of astrocytes with tam oxifen(TAM).The blockage of active astrocyte-derived IL-6 by a neutralizing antibody resulted in the attenuation of drug resistance,consequently enhancing the sensitivity of breast cancer cells to doxorubicin.Furthermore,the possible involved TAM-m odulated drug resistance mechanism may be associated with a decrease in IL-6 expression in astrocytes and the downregulation of MAPK and JAK2/STAT3 signaling in cancer cells.Our data suggested that TAMs might reduce drug resistance through the IL-6/JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway,providing a possible therapy to treat brain metastasis in TNBCs,as estrogen receptor inhibitors(TAMs,etc.)can cross the blood-brain barrier. | Yongming Xu Yanrong Zhu Yong Yue Shaofeng Pu Junzhen Wu Yingying Lv Dongping Du | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,12: | 1 |
