Mobility control of unmanned aerial vehicle as communication relay in airborne multi-user systems显示文摘In this paper, a model-based adaptive mobility control method for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) acting as a communication relay is presented, which is intended to improve the network performance in airborne multi-user systems. The mobility control problem is addressed by jointly considering unknown Radio Frequency(RF) channel parameters, unknown multi-user mobility, and non-available Angle of Arrival(AoA) information of the received signal. A Kalman filter and a least-square-based estimation algorithm are used to predict the future user positions and estimate the RF channel parameters between the users and the UAV, respectively. Two different relay application cases are considered: end-to-end and multi-user communications. A line search algorithm is proposed for the former, with its stability given and proven, whereas a simplified gradient-based algorithm is proposed for the latter to provide a target relay position at each decision time step, decreasing the two-dimensional search to a one-dimensional search. Simulation results show that the proposed mobility control algorithms can drive the UAV to reach or track the optimal relay position movement, as well as improving network performance. The proposed method reflects the properties of using different metrics as objective network performance functions. | Gaofeng WU Xiaoguang GAO Xiaowei Fu Kaifang WAN Ruohai DI | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,6: | 4
Permeability Heterogeneity in a Fractured Sandstone-Mudstone Rock Mass in Xiaolangdi Dam Site,Central China显示文摘Heterogeneity of permeability in fractured media is a hot research topic in hydrogeology. Numerous approaches have been proposed to characterize heterogeneity in the last several decades. However, little attention has been paid to correlate permeability heterogeneity with geological information. In the present study, several causes of permeability heterogeneity, that is,lithology, tectonism, and depth, are identified. The unit absorption values(denoted asω),which are results obtained from the packer test, are employed to represent permeability. The variability of permeability in sandstone-mudstone is so significant that the value of unit absorptions span 3-4 orders of magnitude at any depth with several test sections.By declustering,it has been found that under a similar tectonic history, the means of permeability differ greatly at different formations as a result of different mudrock contents. It has also been found that in the same formation, permeability can be significantly increased as a result of faulting. The well-known phenomenon, the decrease in permeability with depth,is found to be caused by the fractures in the rock mass, and the relationship between permeability and depth can be established in the form of logω-logd.After subtracting the trend ofωwith absolute depth, the mean of the residual value at each relative depth can be well correlated with the distribution of mudstone. The methods proposed in this paper can be utilized to research in similar study areas. | JIANG Xiaowei WAN Li WANG Xusheng KANG Aibin HUANG Jun HUANG Guoxing | 2009 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2009,83,5: | 4
Desmoglein 2(DSG2) Is A Receptor of Human Adenovirus Type 55 Causing Adult Severe Community-Acquired Pneumonia显示文摘Human adenovirus type 55(HAdV-B55) is a re-emergent acute respiratory disease pathogen that causes adult communityacquired pneumonia(CAP). Previous studies have shown that the receptor of HAdV-B14, which genome is highly similar with HAdV-B55, is human Desmoglein 2(DSG2). However, whether the receptor of HAdV-B55 is DSG2 is undetermined because there are three amino acid mutations in the fiber gene between HAdV-B14 and HAdV-B55. Here, firstly we found the 3T3 cells, a mouse embryo fibroblast rodent cell line which does not express human DSG2, were able to be infected by HAdV-B55 after transfected with pcDNA3.1-DSG2, while normal 3T3 cells were still unsusceptible to HAdV-B55 infection. Next, A549 cells with h DSG2 knock-down by siRNA were hard to be infected by HAdV-B3/-B14/-B55, while the control siRNA group was still able to be infected by all these types of HAdVs. Finally, immunofluorescence confocal microscopy indicated visually that Cy3-conjugated HAdV-B55 viruses entered A549 cells by binding to DSG2 protein. Therefore, DSG2 is a major receptor of HAdV-B55 causing adult CAP. Our finding is important for better understanding of interactions between adenoviruses and host cells and may shed light on the development of new drugs that can interfere with these processes as well as for the development of potent prophylactic vaccines. | Jing Zhang Kui Ma Xiangyu Wang Yinbo Jiang Shan Zhao Junxian Ou Wendong Lan Wenyi Guan Xiaowei Wu Heping Zheng Bin Yang Chengsong Wan Wei Zhao Jianguo Wu Qiwei Zhang | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,6: | 4
Placement of unmanned aerial vehicles as communication relays in two-tiered multi-agent system:clustering based methods显示文摘The network performance and the unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)number are important objectives when UAVs are placed as communication relays to enhance the multi-agent information exchange. The problem is a non-deterministic polynomial hard(NP-hard)multi-objective optimization problem, instead of generating a Pareto solution, this work focuses on considering both objectives at the same level so as to achieve a balanced solution between them.Based on the property that agents connected to the same UAV are a cluster, two clustering-based algorithms,M-K-means(MKM)and modified fast search and find density of peaks(MFSFDP)methods, are first proposed.Since the former algorithm requires too much computational time and the latter one requires too many relays,an algorithm for the balanced network performance and relay number(BPN)is proposed by discretizing the area to avoid missing the optimal relay positions and defining a new local density function to reflect the network performance metric.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithms are feasible and effective.Comparisons between these algorithms show that the BPN algorithm uses fewer relay UAVs than the MFSFDP and classic set-covering based algorithm, and its computational time is far less than the MKM algorithm. | WU Gaofeng WAN Kaifang GAO Xiaoguang FU Xiaowei | 2020 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2020,31,2: | 3
Aerosol printing and photonic sintering of bioresorbable zinc nanoparticle ink for transient electronics manufacturing显示文摘Bioresorbable electronics technology can potentially lead to revolutionary applications in healthcare, consumer electronics, and data security. This technology has been demonstrated by various functional devices. However, majority of these devices are realized by CMOS fabrication approaches involving complex and time-consuming processes that are high in cost and low in yield. Printing electronics technology represents a series of printing and post processing techniques that hold promise to make high performance bioresorbable electronics devices. But investigation of printing approaches for bioresorbable electronics is very limited. Here we demonstrate fabrication of conductive bioresorbable patterns using aerosol printing and photonic sintering approaches. Experimental results and simulation reveals that ink compositions, photonic energy, film thickness, and ventilation conditions may influence the effect of photonic sintering. A maximum conductivity of 22321.3 S/m can be achieved using 1 flash with energy of 25.88 J/cm^2 with duration of 2 ms. By combining two cascaded sintering procedures using flash light and laser further improve the conductivity to 34722.2 S/m. The results indicate that aerosol printing and photonic sintering can potentially yield mass fabrication of bioresorbable electronics, leading to prevalence of printable bioresorbable technology in consumer electronics and biomedical devices. | Bikram Kishore MAHAJAN BrANDon LUDWIG Wan SHOU Xiaowei YU Emmanuel FREGENE Hang XU Heng PAN Xian HUANG | 2018 | Science China(Information Sciences)2018,61,6: | 2

De novo strategy with engineering a multifunctional bacterial cellulose-based dressing for rapid healing of infected wounds显示文摘The treatment and healing of infected skin lesions is one of the major challenges in surgery. To solve this problem, collagen I(Col-I)and the antibacterial agent hydroxypropyltrimethyl ammonium chloride chitosan(HACC)were composited into the bacterial cellulose(BC)three-dimensional network structure by a novel membrane-liquid interface(MLI)culture, and a Col-I/HACC/BC(CHBC)multifunctional dressing was designed. The water absorption rate and water vapor transmission rate of the obtained CHBC dressing were 35.78±2.45 g/g and 3084±56 g m^(-2)⋅day^(-1),respectively.The water retention of the CHBC dressing was significantly improved compared with the BC caused by the introduced Col-I and HACC.In vitro results indicated that the combined advantages of HACC and Col-I confer on CHBC dressings not only have outstanding antibacterial properties against Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus)compared with BC and CBC,but also exhibit better cytocompatibility than BC and HBC to promote the proliferation and spread of NIH3T3 cells and HUVECs.Most importantly, the results of in vivo animal tests demonstrated that the CHBC dressings fully promoted wound healing for 8 days and exhibited shorter healing times, especially in the case of wound infection.Excellent skin regeneration effects and higher expression levels of collagen during infection were also shown in the CHBC group. We believe that CHBC composites with favorable multifunctionality have potential applications as wound dressings to treat infected wounds. | Chen Zhou Zhifei Yang Xiaowei Xun Le Ma Zejing Chen Xiaoming Hu Xidong Wu Yizao Wan Haiyong Ao | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,7: | 1

Network pharmacology-based approach for exploring the biotargets and mechanisms of vitamin A for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers显示文摘Background:In some developing countries, people have little knowledge about the causes of diabetic foot ulcers. Therefore, public health education for patients on these conditions is a prerequisite for effective pharmacological treatment.Diabetic foot ulcers are a complex symptom of diabetes and are hard to cure due to the lack of efficacious medicine and alternative treatment approaches.Vitamin A(VA)is known to have potent biological functions, including skin repair and immunoregulation. However, the potential pharmacological effects and molecular mechanisms of VA on foot ulcers are still to be discovered. Methods:By using bioinformatic/computational analyses, including network pharmacology, gene ontology and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analysis,we aimed to identify and reveal the pharmacological targets, molecular mechanisms, biological functions, and signaling pathways of VA in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. Results:A total of 66 intersection genes were identified as candidate targets of VA,which are related to diabetic foot ulcers.Therein,18 core genes/targets,namely JUN,MAPK1,THRB,MAPK14,MTNR1B,CXCR3,ESR1,AR,HDAC1,IL-10,CNR1,DRD2,EGFR,ADRA2A,CCND1,RXRB,RARA,and RXRA,were further identified.Furthermore, the biological processes, cell components, and molecular functions which may underlie the effects of VA against diabetic foot ulcers were characterized. Conclusion:Based on our findings,we concluded that the pharmacological effects of VA on diabetic foot ulcers primarily involve the promotion of cellular regeneration and proliferation and the inhibition of inflammatory response. The core genes/targets may potentially serve as promising biomarkers for the diagnosis of diabetic foot ulcers. | Xiaowei Wan Qiuhai Qin Ruitang Xie Xin Li Min Su | 2023 | Frigid Zone Medicine2023,3,3: | 0
Interface-enhanced thermoelectric output power in CrN/SrTiO_(3-x) heterostructure显示文摘Thermoelectric devices enable direct conversion between thermal and electrical energy.Recent studies have indicated that the thin film/substrate heterostructure is effective in achieving high thermoelectric performance via decoupling the Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity otherwise adversely inter-dependent in homogenous bulk materials. However, the mechanism underlying the thin film/substrate heterostructure thermoelectricity remains unclear. In addition, the power output of the thin film/substrate heterostructure is limited to the nanowatt scale to date, falling short of the practical application requirement. Here,we fabricated the CrN/SrTiO_(3-x) heterostructures with high thermoelectric output power and outstanding thermal stability.By varying the CrN film thickness and the reduction degree of CrN/SrTiO_(3-x) substrate, the optimized power output and the power density have respectively reached 276μWand 10^(8) mW/cm^(2) for the 30 nm CrN film on a highly reduced surface of CrN/SrTiO_(3-x) under a temperature difference of 300 K.The performance enhancement is attributed to the CrN/CrN/SrTiO_(3-x) heterointerface, corroborated by the band bending as revealed by the scanning Kelvin probe microscopy. These results will stimulate further research efforts towards interface thermoelectrics. | Xueying Wan Xiaowei Lu Lin Sun Mingyu Chen Na Ta Wei Liu Qi Chen Liwei Chen Jian He Peng Jiang Xinhe Bao | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,1: | 0

Anti-hepatic carcinoma mechanisms of calycosin through targeting ferroptosis显示文摘Background Ferroptosis,a pathologic state induced by lipid-driven oxidative stress,is associated with the development of human cancers.Calycosin,a natural compound with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, has promising antitumor effects. However, the ferroptosis-related mechanism of calycosin in the treatment of hepatic carcinoma has not been reported. Methods This study applied network pharmacology and bioinformatic approaches(including Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis)to investigate the pharmacologic targets and mechanism of action of calycosin in the treatment of hepatic carcinoma through targeting ferroptosis.By searching online databases including The Cancer Genome Atlas,FerrDb,GeneCards,SwissTargetPrediction,SuperPred,BindingDB,TargetNet,BATMAN-TCM,and Drugbank,we identified 13 ferroptosis-related putative target genes of calycosin against hepatic carcinoma including IL-6,PTGS2,SRC,HRAS,NQO1,NOX4,PGK1,G6PD,GPI,MIF,NOS2,ALDOA,and SQSTM1.Results Molecular docking analysis revealed that calycosin potentially binded directly with the target proteins IL-6,PTGS2,and SRC.Functional enrichment analysis of these proteins indicated that they were involved in gluconeogenesis and apoptosis through regulation of ERK1,ERK2,and MAPK activities(P<0.05).Conclusion Calycosin exerts antitumor effects in hepatic carcinoma by targeting ferroptosis through regulation of IL-6,PTGS2,and SRC. | Litao Nie Yimei Liao Rui Zhou Xiao Liang Xiaowei Wan Xin Li Min Su | 2023 | Intelligent Medicine2023,3,3: | 0
Hybrid molecular nanostructures with donor-acceptor chains显示文摘We have fabricated hybrid molecular chain structures formed by electron acceptor compound 1 and electron donor molecules 2 and 3 at the liquid/solid interface of graphite surface. The structural details of the mono-component and the binary assemblies are revealed by high resolution scanning tunneling microscopy (STM).Compound 1 can form two well-ordered lamellar patterns at different concentrations. In the co-adsorption structures, compounds 2 and 3 can insert into the space between molecular chains of compound 1 and form large area well-ordered nanoscale phase separated lamellar structures. The unit cell parameters for the coassemblies can be 'flexibly' adjusted to make the electron donors and acceptors perfectly match along the molecular chains.Scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS) results indicate that the electronic properties of individual molecular donors and acceptors are preserved in the binary self-assembly.These results provide molecular insight into the nanoscale phase separation of organic electron acceptors and donors on surfaces and are helpful for the fabrication of surface supramolecular structures and molecular devices. | YANG Liu GUAN CuiZhong YUE Wan WU JingYi YAN HuiJuan ZHANG Xu WANG ZhaoHui ZHAN XiaoWei LI YuLiang WANG Dong WAN LiJun | 2013 | Science China Chemistry2013,56,1: | 0

Colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals for biological photodynamic therapy applications:Recent progress and perspectives显示文摘Photodynamic therapy(PDT),due to the high level of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and induced oxidative damage to proteins, lipids,DNA,and dysfunctions in cell metabolism, has exhibited its potential applications in anti-tumor and anti-bacteria biological applications.Photosensitizers(PS)are very necessary to achieve high PDT efficiency.Colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals(CSNCs)are increasingly utilized as emerging photosensitizers and adjuvants in PDT.They have many optical and chemical advantages such as narrow, symmetric and size-tunable emission spectra, stable fluorescence, broad absorption spectra, high level of brightness and photostability, large stokes shift, and easily functionalized with biological groups or molecules. Therefore, great interests have been received for CSNCs in constructing a PDT platform for cancer and bacterial behavior study even having the possible side effects, for example, the excitation light is mostly concentrated in the ultraviolet region, and the toxicity mechanism is not clear. This review mainly focuses on the recent progress of CSNCsbased PDT research for cancer cells and bacterial cells killing both in vivo and in vitro. From the perspective of the efficiency of PDT,the medicine, materials science and nanotechnology,as well as the representative works are summarized, and CSNCs with special functions are discussed. This review emphasized on the relationship between structure/composition and performance of PDT-based CSNCs.Meanwhile, the critical and potential issues and future perspectives are also addressed. | Dong Wang Yibin Zhu Xiaodong Wan Xiaowei Zhang Jiatao Zhang | 2020 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2020,30,4: | 0
Predicting Surface Roughness and Moisture of Bare Soils Using Multi- band Spectral Reflectance Under Field Conditions显示文摘Soil surface roughness, denoted by the root mean square height(RMSH), and soil moisture(SM) are critical factors that affect the accuracy of quantitative remote sensing research due to their combined influence on spectral reflectance(SR). In regards to this issue, three SM levels and four RMSH levels were artificially designed in this study; a total of 12 plots was used, each plot had a size of 3 m × 3 m. Eight spectral observations were conducted from 14 to 30 October 2017 to investigate the correlation between RMSH, SM, and SR. On this basis, 6 commonly used bands of optical satellite sensors were selected in this study, which are red(675 nm), green(555 nm), blue(485 nm), near infrared(845 nm), shortwave infrared 1(1600 nm), and shortwave infrared 2(2200 nm). A negative correlation was found between SR and RMSH, and between SR and SM. The bands with higher coefficient of determination R^2 values were selected for stepwise multiple nonlinear regression analysis. Four characterized bands(i.e., blue, green, near infrared, and shortwave infrared 2) were chosen as the independent variables to estimate SM with R^2 and root mean square error(RMSE) values equal to 0.62 and 2.6%, respectively. Similarly, the four bands(green, red, near infrared, and shortwave infrared 1) were used to estimate RMSH with R^2 and RMSE values equal to 0.48 and 0.69 cm, respectively. These results indicate that the method used is not only suitable for estimating SM but can also be extended to the prediction of RMSH. Finally, the evaluation approach presented in this paper highly restores the real situation of the natural farmland surface on the one hand, and obtains high precision values of SM and RMSH on the other. The method can be further applied to the prediction of farmland SM and RMSH based on satellite and unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) optical imagery. | CHEN Si ZHAO Kai JIANG Tao LI Xiaofeng ZHENG Xingming WAN Xiangkun ZHAO Xiaowei | 2018 | Chinese Geographical Science2018,28,6: | 0
