2Petrogenesis and tectonic implications of early Paleozoic granitoids in East Kunlun belt: Evidences from geochronology, geochemistry and isotopes显示文摘The East Kunlun Orogenic Belt(EKOB) provides an important link to reconstruct the evolution of the Proto-Tethys and Paleo-Tethys realm. The EKOB is marked by widespread Early Paleozoic magmatism.Here we report the petrology, bulk geochemistry, zircon Ue Pb dating and, Lue Hf and SreN d isotopic data of the Early Paleozoic granitic rocks in Zhiyu area of the southern EKOB. Based on the zircon U-Pb dating, these granitoids, consisting of diorite, granodiorite and monzogranite, were formed during 450 -430 Ma the Late Ordovician to Middle Silurian. The diorite and granodiorite are high Sr/Y ratio as adakitic affinities, and the monzogranite belongs to highly fractionated I-type. Their(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)ivalues range from 0.7059 to 0.7085, εNd(t) values from -1.6 to -6.0 and the zircon εHf(t) values show large variations from +9.1 to -8.6 with Hf model ages(T_(DM2)) about 848 Ma and 1970 Ma. The large variations of whole-rock Nd and zircon Hf isotopes demonstrate strong isotopic heterogeneity of the source regions which probably resulted from multi-phase underplating of mantle-derived magmas. Geochemical and isotopic studies proved that the diorite and granodiorite had been derived from partial melting of heterogeneous crustal source with variable contributions from ancient continental crust and juvenile components, and the monzogranites were representing fractional crystallization and crustal contamination for arc magma. 3A two-step lineage reprogramming strategy to generate functionally competent human hepatocytes from fibroblasts显示文摘Terminally differentiated cells can be generated by lineage reprogramming,which is,however,hindered by incomplete conversion with residual initial cell identity and partial functionality. Here, we demonstrate a new reprogramming strategy by mimicking the natural regeneration route, which permits generating expandable hepatic progenitor cells and functionally competent human hepatocytes. Fibroblasts were first induced into human hepatic progenitor-like cells (hHPLCs), which could robustly expand in vitro and efficiently engraft in vivo. Moreover, hHPLCs could be efficiently induced into mature human hepatocytes (hiHeps) in vitro, whose molecular identity highly resembles primary human hepatocytes (PHHs). Most importantly, hiHeps could be generated in large quantity and were functionally competent to replace PHHs for drug-metabolism estimation, toxicity prediction and hepatitis B virus infection modeling. Our results highlight the advantages of the progenitor stage for successful lineage reprogramming. 4Estimation of Storage and Density of Organic Carbon in Peatlands of China显示文摘Based on the results of the National Survey of Peat Resources(1983-1985) and the investigation results on the peatlands of China,the storage and density of the organic carbon in the peatlands of China were estimated.The total organic carbon storage(OCS) of the peatlands in China,including bare peatlands and buried peatlands,are 1.503 × 109 t,unevenly distributed over 30 provincial level administrative units and 16 climatic zones.Peatland organic carbon storage(POCS) in Sichuan(6.45 × 108 t) and Yunnan provinces(2.91 × 108 t) is the highest,accounting for 62.29% of the total POCS.Humid zone of plateau has the highest POCS of 7.14 × 108 t,especially in the Zoigê Plateau,where the POCS is 6.30 × 108 t,accounting for 41.92% of the total POCS of China.The organic carbon density(OCD) of the peatlands in China mostly ranges from 80 kg/m3 to 140 kg/m3,and the range of the maximum is 270-360 kg/m3,and the minimum is less than 80 kg/m3.Divided by the Yanshan Mountain,Taihang Mountains and Hengduan Mountains,the peatland oganic carbon density(POCD) is lower on the northwestern side than that on the southeastern side.Jiangxi Province has the highest POCD due to the ancient buried peatlands.The OCD of the bare peatlands is mostly in the range of 60-150 kg/m3,and that of the buried peatlands is more than 100 kg/m3.In the bare peatlands,the OCD generally increases from the surface layer to the below surface layer,and then decreases with the depth.Although the peatlands area in China is small,the OCS per unit area is far higher than the other soil types,so peatlands protection can effectively mitigate climate change.LIU Zigang WANG Ming MA Xuehui 2012Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,6:7
5^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating for Cenozoic kamafugite from western Qinling in Gansu Province显示文摘40Ar/39Ar ages were determined for 6 phlogopite samples from a kamafugite pipe occurring in western Qinling, yielding a time span of 22 to 23 Ma for kamafugite eruption. Together with known geochronological data for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP) and its peripheral regions, it is concluded that these Cenozoic potassic-ultrapotassic volcanic rocks are products of post-collisional volcanism. The age of the Cenozoic volcanic rocks in western Qinling partly overlaps that of potassic volcanics from the Gandise belt, reflecting the northward migration of the post-collisional volcanism in QTP. 6Roles of fishing and climate change in long-term fish species succession and population dynamics in the outer Beibu Gulf,South China Sea显示文摘A prevailing,controversial hypothesis is that fishing pressure has played a greater role than climatic and environmental drivers,in changing fish species succession and biomass fluctuation in the South China Sea(SCS).Based on otter trawl survey data from 1959 to 2010 in the outer Beibu Gulf(OBG),northern SCS,large seasonal and interannual variation is reported for fish species composition,the proportional abundances of dominant taxa,and fish biomass.Generalized additive models are developed to quantify relationships between fish biomass and the external factors of fishing pressure and climate change.Fishing pressure proved to be the main driver of sharp declines in demersal fish stocks,with high-value species being replaced by low-value ones over time.Abrupt decreases in fish biomass during the years of 1993 and 1998 correspond to El Nino events,with climate change possibly the main driver of proportional representation of pelagic species in fisheries trawl catch.The need to differentiate impacts of fishing and environmental drivers on fish species with different life history strategies is stressed to better understand fish community dynamics.Xuehui Wang Yongsong Qiu Feiyan Du Weida Liu Dianrong Sun Xiao Chen Weiwen Yuan Yong Chen 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,10:6
7Development and utilization of a new chemically-induced soybean library with a high mutation density显示文摘Mutagenized populations have provided important materials for introducing variation and identifying gene function in plants. In this study, an ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)-induced soybean(Glycine max) population,consisting of 21,600 independent M_2 lines, was developed.Over 1,000 M_(4(5))families, with diverse abnormal phenotypes for seed composition, seed shape, plant morphology and maturity that are stably expressed across different environments and generations were identified. Phenotypic analysis of the population led to the identification of a yellow pigmentation mutant, gyl, that displayed significantly decreased chlorophyll(Chl) content and abnormal chloroplast development. Sequence analysis showed that gyl is allelic to Minn Gold, where a different single nucleotide polymorphism variation in the Mg-chelatase subunit gene(ChlI1a) results in golden yellow leaves. A cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence marker was developed and may be applied to marker-assisted selection for the golden yellow phenotype in soybean breeding. 10Electrochemical noise analysis on the pit corrosion susceptibility of biodegradable AZ31 magnesium alloy in four types of simulated body solutions显示文摘Magnesium alloys have been investigated as biodegradable implant materials since the last century. Nonuniform degradation caused by local corrosion limits their application, and no appropriate technology has been used in the research. In this study, electrochemical noise has been used to study the pit corrosion on magnesium alloy AZ31 in four types of simulated body solutions, and the data have been analyzed using wavelet analysis and stochastic theory. 11Distribution of elements extracted from symptom patterns and characteristics of polysomnograph of common symptom patterns of insomnia with Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the distribution and combined regulation of elements of symptom patterns in the diagnosis of insomnia with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS: The samples were collected from the patients, diagnosed with insomnia, of Henan Province Hospital of TCM between June 2011 and September 2013. The symptom patterns in insomnia were extracted. Next, symptom differentiation,characteristics of polysomnography(PSG), distribution and combined regulation of these symptom patterns were conducted by tests.RESULTS: In total, 286 eligible patients were recruited. The main locations of the disease symptom elements were the brain and heart, and the main characteristics of the disease symptom elements were phlegm-heat, Yin-deficiency and Qi-stagnation. The elements from two or three symptom patterns were commonly manifested in patients with insomnia, especially from three symptom patterns. We also found that all TCM symptom patterns had an effect on polysomnographic indicators in PSG tests.CONCLUSION: The elements of symptom patterns in insomnia were identified as mainly fire-heat and phlegm-heat. The most common patterns of excess were pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of liver-Qi, and mental disturbance due to phlegm-heat,while the most common patterns of deficiency in both the heart and the spleen. 12Experimental Investigation on the Temperature Distribution Characteristics of the Evaporation Section in a Pulsating Heat Pipe显示文摘With the increasing demand for heat dissipation in the electronics industry, pulsating heat pipe(PHP) has attracted wide attention due to its simple structure and excellent heat transfer ability. However, due to the unique operational mechanism of PHP, the temperature distribution in the evaporation section is obviously not even during the operational process of PHP. When the PHP is used as a heat dissipater, the evaporation section of the PHP directly contacts with the chips and has great influence on the performance of the chips, so it is very important to investigate the temperature distribution characteristics in the evaporation section. In this paper, both the effects of the filling ratio and heat flux on these characteristics were investigated. The experimental results indicated that the temperatures of the middle 'U' turn were the highest. When the heat flux and the filling ratio were 364 W/cm^2 and 36.3%, respectively, the maximum temperature difference between the middle 'U' turn and the other 'U' turns could be as high as 18.92 K. 13Enhancing rice grain production by manipulating the naturally evolved cis-regulatory element-containing inverted repeat sequence of OsREM20显示文摘Grain number per panicle(GNP)is an important agronomic trait that contributes to rice grain yield.Despite its importance in rice breeding,the molecular mechanism underlying GNP regulation remains largely unknown.In this study,we identified a previously unrecognized regulatory gene that controls GNP in rice,Oryza sativa REPRODUCTIVE MERISTEM 20(OsREM20),which encodes a B3 domain transcription factor.Through genetic analysis and transgenic validation we found that genetic variation in the CArG box-containing inverted repeat(IR)sequence of the OsREM20 promoter alters its expression level and contributes to GNP variation among rice varieties.Furthermore,we revealed that the IR sequence regulates OsREM20 expression by affecting the direct binding of OsMADS34 to the CArG box within the IR sequence.Interestingly,the divergent pOsREM20IR and pOsREM20ΔIR alleles were found to originate from different Oryza rufipogon accessions,and were independently inherited into the japonica and indica subspecies,respectively,during domestication.Importantly,we demonstrated that IR sequence variations in the OsREM20 promoter can be utilized for germplasm improvement through either genome editing or traditional breeding.Taken together,our study characterizes novel genetic variations responsible for GNP diversity in rice,reveals the underlying molecular mechanism in the regulation of agronomically important gene expression,and provides a promising strategy for improving rice production by manipulating the cis-regulatory element-containing IR sequence.Xiaowei Wu Yan Liang Hengbin Gao Jiyao Wang Yan Zhao Lekai Hua Yundong Yuan Ahong Wang Xiaohui Zhang Jiafan Liu Jie Zhou Xiangbing Meng Dahan Zhang Shaoyang Lin Xuehui Huang Bin Han Jiayang Li Yonghong Wang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,6:3
14Extended tacrolimus release via the combination of lipid-based solid dispersion and HPMC hydrogel matrix tablets显示文摘The objective of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of obtaining extended release of tacrolimus by a novel combination of lipid-based solid dispersion and matrix-type extended release tablet techniques. Tacrolimus solid dispersion was prepared using glycerylbehenate(Compritol~?ATO888) and Pluronic F127 as the carrier materials with hot-melt method, which was then blended with hydrogel matrix materials, such as HPMC and lactose, the powders were directly compressed into tablets. In vitro drug release tests were carried out to evaluate the performance of the solid dispersions and the tablets. The dissolution rate of tacrolimus was significantly improved by the lipid-based solid dispersion, and the incorporation of HPC into the solid dispersion obviously improved its stability after storage. Extended release tablets loaded with tacrolimus solid dispersion showed prolonged drug release patterns over 24 h, the release patterns of the tablets can be tailored by the compositions of the matrix materials, including the types and content of HPMCs. A modified processing method that directly mixed the melted solid dispersion with HPMC powders improved the uniformity of the solid dispersion inside the tablet matrix and release profile. The release data of the extended release tablet fitted well to the Korsmeyer–Peppas model with n value of 0.85, which suggested diffusion-and erosion-controlled release mechanism. 15Efficacy of a mineralized collagen bone-grafting material for peri-implant bone defect reconstruction in mini pigs显示文摘The mechanism of the mineralization process induced by natural mineralized collagen(MC)has been investigated for decades.The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy of selfassembled MC for peri-implant bone defect reconstruction in a mini pig.A standardized peri-implant bone defect model was created using 14 mini pig mandibles.Two materials were evaluated,i.e.a mixture of hydroxyapatite and collagen(Type A,TA),and self-assembled MC(Type B,TB).Bio-Oss(BO)and untreated(blank control,BC)groups were used as controls.After 3-and 6-month healing periods,the mini pigs were sacrificed for histomorphometric and microcomputed tomography analysis.After 3 months of healing,the average alveolar ridge height was 3.2761.57mm for group TA,3.28±2.02mm for group TB and 3.37±1.09mm for group BO,while group BC showed the lowest height of 2.68±0.47mm.After 6 months of healing,the average alveolar ridge height was 2.64±1.13mm for group TA,4.31±1.80mm for group TB and 3.8761.38mm for group BO,while group BC showed the lowest height of 2.48±1.80mm.The experimental groups and control group showed similar bone volume density,bone complexity and histological reaction.The self-assembled MC(Type B)stimulated new bone formation in the reconstruction of deficient alveolar ridges around the dental implant;it also displayed excellent clinical operability compared with bone grafts without collagen.Enbo Wang Jianmin Han Xuehui Zhang Yuhan Wu Xu-Liang Deng 2019Regenerative Biomaterials2019,6,2:3
16Ionic liquids: Efficient solvent and medium for the transformation of renewable lignocellulose显示文摘Carbon-enriched lignocelluloses are regarded as the perfect alternative for nonrenewable fossil fuel, and have a great potential to alleviate the increasing energy crisis and climate change. However, the tightly covalent structure and strong intra and in- ter-molecular hydrogen bonding in lignocellulose make it high recalcitrance to transformation due to the poor solubility in wa- ter or common organic solvents. Dissolution and transformation of lignocellulose and its constituents in ionic liquids have therefore attracted much attention recently due to the tunable physical-chemical properties. Here, ionic liquids with excellent dissolving capability for biomass and its ingredients were examined. The technologies for lignocellulose biorefining in the presence of ionic liquid solvents or catalysts were also summarized. 18Which is the determinant for cellulose degradation in cooperative ionic liquid pairs: dissolution or catalysis?显示文摘Catalytic conversion of sustainable cellulose to the value-added chemicals and high quality biofuel has been recognized as a perfect approach for the alleviation of the dependence on the non-renewable fossil resources. Previously, we successfully designed and explored novel and efficient cooperative ionic liquid pairs for this renewable material, which has advantages of high reactor efficiency than current technologies because of the dissolution and in situ catalytic decomposition mechanism. Here, the determinant of this process is further studied by the intensive investigation on the relationship between the cellulose conversion and the properties of ionic liquid catalyst and solvent. Scanning electron microscope(SEM), thermogravimetric analysis(TG) and elemental analysis were used for the comparative characterization of raw cellulose and the residues. 20Stimuli-responsive nitric oxide generator for light-triggered synergistic cancer photothermal/gas therapy显示文摘As a minimally invasive local cancer therapy,photothermal therapy (PTT) has aroused intensive interests in recent years.However,the therapeutic effect of PTT is still unsatisfying due to the production of heat shock proteins.Combination therapy has been regarded as a promising strategy to enhance therapeutic efficiency.In this study,a novel intelligent protoporphyrin (PplX)-based polymer nanoplatform is developed for synergistic enhancement of cancer treatment through combined PTT and nitric oxide (NO) therapy.The core of the nanoparticle is composed of closely packed porphyrin-based NO donors and PplX branches of the block copolymer.The prepared nanoparticles exhibit good photothermal conversion capability and high sensitivity to release NO under light illumination.And the produced high localized temperature and intracellular NO concentration could efficiently inhibit cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo.More important,this therapeutic nanoplatform can fundamentally eliminate the emergence of multidrug resistance and overcome the hypoxia microenvironment in tumors because of the absence of chemotherapeutic drugs and the oxygen-independent process,thus opening up new ideas for multifunctional therapeutic agent design for treatment of multidrug-resistant cancer.Xuehui Huang Funeng Xu Huabo Hou Jianwen Hou Yi Wang Shaobing Zhou 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:2
