2Progress of regional oceanography study associated with western boundary current in the South China Sea显示文摘Recent progress of physical oceanography in the South China Sea (SCS) associated with the western boundary current (WBC) and eddies is reviewed in this paper. It includes Argo observations of the WBC, eddy detection in the WBC based on satellite images, cross-continental shelf exchange in the WBC, eddy-current interaction, interannual variability of the WBC, air-sea interaction, the SCS throughflow (SCSTF), among others. The WBC in the SCS is strong, and its structure, variability and dynamic processes on seasonal and interannual time scales are yet to be fully understood. In this paper, we summarize progresses on the variability of the WBC, eddy-current interaction, air-sea interaction, and the SCSTF achieved in the past few years. Firstly, using the drifting buoy observations, we point out that the WBC becomes stronger and narrower after it reaches the central Vietnam coast. The possible mechanisms influencing the ocean circulation in the northern SCS are discussed, and the dynamic mechanisms that induce the countercurrent in the region of northern branch of WBC in winter are also studied quantitatively using momentum balance. The geostropic component of the WBC was diagnosed using the ship observation along 18°N, and we found that the WBC changed significantly on interannual time scale. Secondly, using the ship observations, two anti-cyclonic eddies in the winter of 2003/2004 in the northern SCS, and three anti-cyclonic eddies in the summer of 2007 along 18°N were studied. The results show that the two anti-cyclonic eddies can propagate southwestward along the continental shelf at the speed of first Rossby wave (~0.1 ms-1 ) in winter, and the interaction between the three anti-cyclonic eddies in summer and the WBC in the SCS is preliminarily revealed. Eddies on the continental shelf of northern SCS propagated southeastward with a maximum speed of 0.09 ms-1 , and those to the east of Vietnam coast had the largest kinetic energy, both of which imply strong interaction between eddy activity and WBC in the SCS. Thirdly, strong intraseasonal variability (ISV) of sea surface temperature (SST) near the WBC regions was found, and the ISV signal of SST in winter weakens the ISV signal of latent heat flux by 20%. 3Allele-aware chromosome-level genome assembly of Artemisia annua reveals the correlation between ADS expansion and artemisinin yield显示文摘Artemisia annua is the major natural source of artemisinin,an anti-malarial medicine commonly used worldwide.Here,we present chromosome-level haploid maps for two A.annua strains with different artemisinin contents to explore the relationships between genomic organization and artemisinin production.High-fidelity sequencing,optical mapping,and chromatin conformation capture sequencing were used to assemble the heterogeneous and repetitive genome and resolve the haplotypes of A.annua.Approximately 5o,ooo genes were annotated for each haplotype genome,and a triplication event that occurred approximately 58.12million years ago was examined for the first time in this species.A total of 3,903,467-5,193,414 variants(SNPs,indels,and structural variants)were identified in the 1.5-Gb genome during pairwise comparison between haplotypes,consistent with the high heterozygosity of this species.Genomic analyses revealed a correlation between artemisinin concents and the copy number of amorpha-4,11-dienes ynthasegenes.This correlation was further confirmed by resequencing of 36A.annua samples with varied artemisinin contents.Circular consensus sequencing of transcripts facilitated the detection of paralog expression.Collectively,our study provides chromosome-level allele-aware genome assemblies for two A.annua strains and new insights into the biosynthesis of artemisinin and its regulation,which will contribute to conquering malaria worldwide.Baosheng Liao Xiaofeng Shen Li Xiang Shuai Guo Shiyu Chen Ying Meng Yu Liang Dandan Ding Junqi Bai Dong Zhang Tomasz Czechowski Yi Li Hui Yao Tingyu Mai Caroline Howard Chao Sun Haitao Liu Jiushi Liu Jin Pei Jihai Gao Jigang Wang Xiaohui Qiu Zhihai Huang Hongyi Li Ling Yuan Jianhe Wei lan Graham Jiang Xu Boli Zhang Shilin Chen 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,8:9
4Electrospinning of ceramic nanofibers:Fabrication,assembly and applications显示文摘This paper provides a brief review of current research activities that focus on the synthesis and controlled assembly of inorganic nano-bers by electrospinning,their electrical,optical and magnetic properties,as well as their applications in various areas including sensors,catalysts,batteries,filters and separators.We begin with a brief introduction to electrospinning technology and a brief method to produce ceramic nanofibers from electrospinning.We then discuss approaches to the controlled assembly and patterning of electrospun ceramic nanofibers.We continue with a highlight of some recent applications enabled by electrospun ceramic nano-bers,with a focus on the physical properties of functional ceramic nanofibers as well as their applications in energy and environmental technologies.In the end,we conclude this review with some perspectives on the future directions and implications for this new class of functional nanomaterials.It is expected that this review paper can help the readers quickly become acquainted with the basic principles and particularly the experimental procedure for preparing and assembly of 1D ceramic nanofiber and its arrays.Hui WU Wei PAN Dandan LIN Heping LI 2012Journal of Advanced Ceramics2012,1,1:9
5A meta-analysis of Chinese herbal medicines for vascular dementia显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicines in the treatment of patients with vascular dementia. DATA RETRIEVAL: We retrieved publications from Cochrane Library (2004 to July 2011), PubMed (1966 to July 2011), the Chinese Science and Technique Journals Database (1977 to July 2011), the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (1979 to July 2011), Google Scholar (July 2011), and the Chinese Biomedical Database (1977 to July 2011) using the'Chinese medicine OR Chinese herbal medicine' and 'vascular dementia OR mild cognition impair OR multi-infarct dementia OR small-vessel dementia OR strategic infarct dementia OR hypoperfusion dementia OR hemorrhagic dementia OR hereditary vascular dementia'. SELECTION CRITERIA: Randomized controlled trials comparing Chinese herbal medicines with placebo/western medicine in the treatment of patients with vascular dementia were included. Diagnostic standards included Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-IV, and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and Association Internationale pour la Recherché et l'Enseignement en Neurosciences. Two participants independently conducted literature screening, quality evaluation and data extraction. The quality of each trial was assessed according to the Cochrane Reviewers' Handbook 5.0. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Effective rate, Mini-Mental State Examination scores, Hasegawa Dementia Scale scores, and incidence of adverse reactions. RESULTS: We identified 1 143 articles discussing the effects of Chinese medicine on vascular dementia. Thirty-one of these were included in the analysis. These studies involved a total of 2 868 participants (1 605 patients took Chinese medicine decoctions (treatment group); 1 263 patients took western medicine or placebo). The results of our meta-analysis revealed that Chinese herbal remedies in the treatment group were more efficacious than the control intervention (relative risk (RR)=1.27; 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.18-1.38, P<0.01). Mini-Mental State Examination scores were higher in patients taking Chinese herbal medicines than in those in the control group (weighted mean difference (WMD)=2.83; 95%CI: 2.55-3.12, P<0.01). Patients in the treatment group showed better disease amelioration than those in the control group (Hasegawa Dementia Scale scores; WMD=2.41, 95%CI: 1.48-3.34, P<0.01). There were also considerably fewer adverse reactions among those in the treatment group compared with those in the control group (RR=0.20, 95%CI: 0.08-0.47, P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Chinese herbal medicine appears to be safer and more effective than control measures in the treatment of vascular dementia. However, the included trials were generally low in quality. 6Leader-Following Consensus of Multi-Agent Systems via Adaptive Event-Based Control显示文摘In this paper, the adaptive event-based control approach is applied to study leader-following consensus of multi-agent systems with linear dynamic models. Adaptive event-based controller and triggering function for each agent are designed, where the adaptive function is only dependent on its own event time instants. A sufficient condition on consensus is proposed, which shows that the adaptive event-based method presented in this paper not only can reduce the communication among neighboring agents, but also can determine the event time instants for each agent without using the global information. Furthermore, the Zeno-behavior for the concerned closed-loop system is excluded. 7Analysis on Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome elements and relevant factors for senile diabetes显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To explore the laws governing the distribution ofTraditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) syndrome elements (SEs) of senile diabetes (SD) and their relationship to relevant factors. METHODS: An investigation of patients who met the inclusion criteria was conducted by trained doctors, using case report forms. All related data were collected, including body mass index, glycated hemoglobin, illness course, complications, symptoms, and tongue and pulse manifestation. The SEs of each patient were judged by three qualified associate chief physicians independently. RESULTS: The main SEs of SD are Yin deficiency, Qi deficiency, blood stasis, and phlegm turbidity. Yindeficiency, Qi deficiency, blood stasis, and phlegm turbidity are most commonly seen among 4-SE combinations. Yang deficiency is typically related to illness course and BMI, phlegm turbidity to hypertension and hyperlipidemia, excessive heat to diabetic microangiopathy, and blood stasis to illness course and diabetic macroangiopathy. CONCLUSION: SD pathogenesis has a deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality. Deficiency syndrome mainly manifests as deficiency of both Qi and Yin, and concurrently in Yang deficiency. Excess syndrome is characterized by blood stasis and phlegm turbidity. 8Combined remediation of DDT congeners and cadmium in soil by Sphingobacterium sp.D-6 and Sedum alfredii Hance显示文摘Combined pollution of 1,1,1-trichloro-2,2-bis (4-chlorophenyl) ethane (DDT) and cadmium (Cd) in agricultural soils is of great concern because they present serious risk to food security and human health.In order to develop a cost-effective and safe method for the removal of DDTs and Cd in soil,combined remediation of DDTs and Cd in soil by Sphingobacterium sp.D-6 and the hyperaccumulator,Sedum alfredii Hance was investigated.After treatment for 210 days,the degradation half-lives of DDTs in soils treated by strain D-6 decreased by 8.1% to 68.0% compared with those in the controls.The inoculation of strain D-6 into soil decreased the uptake of DDTs by pak choi and S.alfredii.The shoots/roots ratios of S.alfredii for the Cd accumulation ranged from 12.32 to 21.75.The Cd concentration in soil decreased to 65.8%-71.8% for S.alfredii treatment and 14.1%-58.2% for S.alfredii and strain D-6 combined treatment,respectively,compared with that in the control.The population size of the DDTs-degrading strain,Simpson index (1/D) and soil respiratory rate decreased in the early stage of treatment and then gradually increased,ultimately recovering to or exceeding the initial level.The results indicated that synchronous incorporation of strain D-6 and S.alfredii into soil was found to significantly (p 0.05) enhance the degradation of DDTs in soil and the hyperaccumulation of Cd in S.alfredii.It was concluded that strain D-6 and S.alfredii could be used successfully to control DDTs and Cd in contaminated soil.Hua Fang Wei Zhou Zhengya Cao Feifan Tang Dandan Wang Kailin Liu Xiangwei Wu Xiao'e Yang Yongge Sun Yunlong Yu 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,6:5

12Ca^(2+)-supplying black phosphorus-based scaffolds fabricated with microfluidic technology for osteogenesis显示文摘Effective osteogenesis remains a challenge in the treatment of bone defects.The emergence of artificial bone scaffolds provides an attractive solution.In this work,a new biomineralization strategy is proposed to facilitate osteogenesis through sustaining supply of nutrients including phosphorus(P),calcium(Ca),and silicon(Si).We developed black phosphorus(BP)-based,three-dimensional nanocomposite fibrous scaffolds via microfluidic technology to provide a wealth of essential ions for bone defect treatment.The fibrous scaffolds were fabricated from 3D poly(L-lactic acid)(PLLA)nanofibers(3D NFs),BP nanosheets,and hydroxyapatite(HA)-porous SiO2 nanoparticles.The 3D BP@HA NFs possess three advantages:i)stably connected pores allow the easy entrance of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)into the interior of the 3D fibrous scaffolds for bone repair and osteogenesis;ii)plentiful nutrients in the NFs strongly improve osteogenic differentiation in the bone repair area;iii)the photothermal effect of fibrous scaffolds promotes the release of elements necessary for bone formation,thus achieving accelerated osteogenesis.Both in vitro and in vivo results demonstrated that the 3D BP@HA NFs,with the assistance of NIR laser,exhibited good performance in promoting bone regeneration.Furthermore,microfluidic technology makes it possible to obtain high-quality 3D BP@HA NFs with low costs,rapid processing,high throughput and mass production,greatly improving the prospects for clinical application.This is also the first BP-based bone scaffold platform that can self-supply Ca^(2+),which may be the blessedness for older patients with bone defects or patients with damaged bones as a result of calcium loss.Zhanrong Li Xingcai Zhang Jiang Ouyang Dandan Chu Fengqi Han Liuqi Shi Ruixing Liu Zhihua Guo Grace X.Gu Wei Tao Lin Jin Jingguo Li 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:4
13The effect of a layer of varying density on spatial correlation of sea-bottom backscattering signal显示文摘The research is about the effect of a layer of varying density of sea-bottom sediments on spatial correlation of sea-bottom backscattering.The relationship between scattering cross section and spatial correlation is that backscattering cross section decreases quickly and the spatial correlation becomes stronger as the incident angle increases.Therefore,the densitydepth profile is introduced into sea-bottom high-frequency backscattering echo model,which is used to simulate sea-bottom backscattering and calculate the function of spatial correlation.The influence of the density gradient on spatial correlation of sea-bottom backscattering is investigated by analyzing the relations between vertical gradient of density and the scattering cross section.As can be seen from the simulation results,the impact of the density gradient on the spatial correlation is found more significant.While the density gradient increases,the scattering cross-section and the radius of the spatial correlation broaden,the spatial correlation becomes stronger.At the same time,the scattering cross-section decreases more quickly as the incident angle increases.LI Dandan WANG Changhong ZHAO Erliang QIU Wei 2015Chinese Journal of Acoustics2015,34,2:4
14Expression Pattern of Peptide and Amino Acid Genes in Digestive Tract of Transporter Juvenile Turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L.)显示文摘Turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L.),a carnivorous fish species with high dietary protein requirement,was chosen to examine the expression pattern of peptide and amino acid transporter genes along its digestive tract which was divided into six segments including stomach,pyloric caeca,rectum,and three equal parts of the remainder of the intestine.The results showed that the expression of two peptide and eleven amino acid transporters genes exhibited distinct patterns.Peptide transporter 1(Pep T1) was rich in proximal intestine while peptide transporter 2(PepT2) was abundant in distal intestine.A number of neutral and cationic amino acid transporters expressed richly in whole intestine including B^0-type amino acid transporter 1(B^0AT1),L-type amino acid transporter 2(LAT2),T-type amino acid transporter 1(TAT1),proton-coupled amino acid transporter 1(PAT1),y^+L-type amino acid transporter 1(y^+LAT1),and cationic amino acid transporter 2(CAT2) while ASC amino acid transporter 2(ASCT2),sodium-coupled neutral amino acid transporter 2(SNAT2),and y^+L-type amino acid transporter 2(y^+LAT2) abundantly expressed in stomach.In addition,system b^(0,+) transporters(rBAT and b^(0,+)AT) existed richly in distal intestine.These findings comprehensively characterized the distribution of solute carrier family proteins,which revealed the relative importance of peptide and amino acid absorption through luminal membrane.Our findings are helpful to understand the mechanism of the utilization of dietary protein in fish with a short digestive tract.XU Dandan HE Gen MAI Kangsen ZHOU Huihui XU Wei SONG Fei 2016Journal of Ocean University of China2016,15,2:3
15High-throughput development and applications of the compositional mechanical property map of the β titanium alloys显示文摘By a combination of the nanoindentation and electron probe microanalysis(EPMA)techniques,the traditional diffusion couple technique is extended to map the mechanical property of β-type Ti alloys over a wide composition range,which can be utilized to develop very versatile novel bio-Ti alloys for hard tissue re placements in arti ficial bones,joints,and dental implants.To create complete single-phase composition ranges of Ti-based bcc solid solution,12 types of bcc Ti-Nb-Zr-Mo/Ti-Nb-Zr-Ta quaternary diffusion couples were fabricated and annealed at 1273 K for 25 h.In this way,the composition-mechanical property relationships in the vast composition space of Ti-based alloys were established using EPMA and nanoindentation probes.Notably,the measured composition-dependent Young’s moduli,hardness,and elastic recovery as well as the derived ratio of hardness to Young’s modulus,and the ratio of the cube of hardness to the square of Young’s modulus,in the developed compositional mechanical property database,were visualized in a five-dimensional scatter plot.This enables an effective tool to screen the Ti-Nb-Zr-based alloys fororthopedic and dental applications according to different clinical requirements,and to rationalize the fundamental mechanical relationships in the rapid development of β-Ti alloys.Jinfeng Ling Dandan Huang Kewu Bai Wei Li Zhentao Yu Weimin Chen 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,12:3

17Bioinformatics analysis on ORFl protein of Torque teno virus(SANBAN isolate)显示文摘Objective:To analyze the sequence of ORFl protein of Torque teno virus to prepare for the future hyhrid experiments.Methods:The sequence of ORFl protein of Torque teno vims was analyzed by bioinformalics using some web lools.Results:The most likely cleavage site was between position 14aa and 15aa and signal peptide may be position laa-14aa.Two possible transmembrane helices from inside to outside and three possible transmembrane helices from outside to inside were found.The position 509(NKTN) was the potential:V-glyeosylation site. The speculative molecular weight of TTV ORF1 protein,which may be a kind of unstable protein was 88 705.7 Da.laa-91aa and 278aa-361aa were localized in non-regular secondary structure region.Conclusions:TTV ORF1 protein may be a nuclear protein which contains two nonregular secondary structure region.265aa to 486aa and 510aa to 679aa may be the two approciale fragments to construct the plasmids,which would be prepared for the future hybrid experiments to study the functional positions of the protein and the interactions between TTV and its hosts. 18A hybrid genipin-crosslinked dual-sensitive hydrogel/nanostructured lipid carrier ocular drug delivery platform显示文摘The objective of this study was to develop a novel hybrid genipin-crosslinked dual-sensitive hydrogel/nanostructured lipid carrier(NLC) drug delivery platform. An ophthalmic antiinflammatory drug, baicalin(BN) was chosen as the model drug. BN –NLC was prepared using melt-emulsification combined with ultra-sonication technique. Additionally, a dual pH-and thermo-sensitive hydrogel composed of carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS) and poloxamer 407(F127) was fabricated by a cross-linking reaction with a nontoxic crosslinker genipin(GP). GP-CMCS/F127 hydrogel was characterized by FTIR, NMR, XRD and SEM. The swelling studies showed GP-CMCS/F127 hydrogel was both pH-and thermo-sensitive. The results of in vitro release suggested BN –NLC gel can prolong the release of baicalin comparing with BN eye drops and BN –NLC. Ex vivo cornea permeation study was evaluated using Franz diffusion cells. The apparent permeability coefficient(Papp) of BN –NLC gel was much higher(4.46-fold) than that of BN eye drops. Through the determination of corneal hydration levels, BN –NLC gel was confirmed that had no significant irritation to cornea. Ex vivo precorneal retention experiments were carried out by a flow-through approach. The results indicated that the NLC-based hydrogel can prolong precorneal residence time.
