2Design of Time-constrained Guidance Laws via Virtual Leader Approach显示文摘Guidance problems with flight time constraints are considered in this article.A new virtual leader scheme is used for design of guidance laws with time constraints.The core idea of this scheme is to adopt a virtual leader for real missiles to convert a guidance problem with time constraints to a nonlinear tracking problem,thereby making it possible to settle the problem with a variety of control methods.A novel time-constrained guidance(TCG) law,which can control the flight time of missiles to a prescribed time,is designed by using the virtual leader scheme and stability method.The TCG law is a combination of the well-known proportional navigation guidance(PNG) law and the feedback of flight time error.What's more,this law is free of singularities and hence yields better performances in comparison with optimal guidance laws with time constraints.Nonlinear simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed law.Zhao Shiyu Zhou Rui Wei Chen Ding Quanxin 2010Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2010,23,1:36
3A comprehensive classification method for VOC emission sources to tackle air pollution based on VOC species reactivity and emission amounts显示文摘In China, volatile organic compound(VOC) control directives have been continuously released and implemented for important sources and regions to tackle air pollution. The corresponding control requirements were based on VOC emission amounts(EA), but never considered the significant differentiation of VOC species in terms of atmospheric chemical reactivity. This will adversely influence the effect of VOC reduction on air quality improvement. Therefore,this study attempted to develop a comprehensive classification method for typical VOC sources in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region(BTH), by combining the VOC emission amounts with the chemical reactivities of VOC species. Firstly, we obtained the VOC chemical profiles by measuring 5 key sources in the BTH region and referencing another 10 key sources, and estimated the ozone formation potential(OFP) per ton VOC emission for these sources by using the maximum incremental reactivity(MIR) index as the characteristic of source reactivity(SR). Then, we applied the data normalization method to respectively convert EA and SR to normalized EA(NEA) and normalized SR(NSR) for various sources in the BTH region.Finally, the control index(CI) was calculated, and these sources were further classified into four grades based on the normalized CI(NCI). 4The altered expression of inflammation-related microRNAs with microRNA-155 expression correlates with Th17 differentiation in patients with acute coronary syndrome显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are a novel class of small,non-coding RNAs that play a significant role in both inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases.Immune cells,especially T helper(Th)cells,are critical in the development of atherosclerosis and the onset of acute coronary syndrome(ACS).To assess whether inflammation-related miRNAs(such as miR-155,146a,21,125a-5p,125b,31)are involved in the imbalance of Th cell subsets in patients with ACS,we measured the expression of related miRNAs in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI),unstable angina(UA),stable angina(SA)and chest pain syndrome(CPS);analyzed the relationship between miRNA expression and the frequency of Th cell subsets;and observed the co-expression of miR-155 and IL-17A in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)of patients with ACS.The results showed that the expression of miR-155 in the PBMCs of patients with ACS was decreased by approximately 60%,while the expression of both miR-21 and miR-146a was increased by approximately twofold.The expression patterns of miRNAs in plasma correlated with those in PBMCs,except for miR-21,which was increased by approximately sixfold in the AMI group and showed no significant difference between the UA group and the CPS group.We also found that the expression of miR-155 inversely correlated with the frequency of Th17 cells(r520.896,P,0.01)and that miR-155 was co-expressed with IL-17A in patients with ACS.In conclusion,our study revealed the expression patterns of inflammation-related miRNAs in patients with ACS and found that miR-155 may be associated with Th17 cell differentiation.Rui Yao Yulan Ma Youyou Du Mengyang Liao Huanhuan Li Wei Liang Jing Yuan Zhijun Ma Xian Yu Hong Xiao Yuhua Liao 2011Cellular & Molecular Immunology2011,8,6:32
5Manganese is critical for antitumor immune responses via cGAS-STING and improves the efficacy of clinical immunotherapy显示文摘CD8^+T cell-mediated cancer clearance is often suppressed by the interaction between inhibitory molecules like PD-1 and PD-L1,an interaction acts like brakes to prevent T cell overreaction under normal conditions but is exploited by tumor cells to escape the immune surveillance.Immune checkpoint inhibitors have revolutionized cancer therapeutics by removing such brakes.Unfortunately,only a minority of cancer patients respond to immunotherapies presumably due to inadequate immunity.Antitumor immunity depends on the activation of the cGAS-STING pathway,as STING-deficient mice fail to stimulate tumor-infiltrating dendritic cells(DCs)to activate CD8^+T cells.STING agonists also enhance natural killer(NK)cells to mediate the clearance of CD8^+T cell-resistant tumors.Therefore STING agonists have been intensively sought after.We previously discovered that manganese(Mn)is indispensable for the host defense against cytosolic dsDNA by activating cGAS-STING.Here we report that Mn is also essential in innate immune sensing of tumors and enhances adaptive immune responses against tumors.Mn-insufficient mice had significantly enhanced tumor growth and metastasis,with greatly reduced tumor-infiltrating CD8^+T cells.Mechanically,Mn^2+promoted DC and macrophage maturation and tumor-specific antigen presentation,augmented CD8^+T cell differentiation,activation and NK cell activation,and increased memory CD8^+T cells.Combining Mn^2+with immune checkpoint inhibition synergistically boosted antitumor efficacies and reduced the anti-PD-1 antibody dosage required in mice.Importantly,a completed phase 1 clinical trial with the combined regimen of Mn^2+and anti-PD-1 antibody showed promising efficacy,exhibiting type I IFN induction,manageable safety and revived responses to immunotherapy in most patients with advanced metastatic solid tumors.We propose that this combination strategy warrants further clinical translation.Mengze Lv Meixia Chen Rui Zhang Wen Zhang Chenguang Wang Yan Zhang Xiaoming Wei Yukun Guan Jiejie Liu Kaichao Feng Miao Jing Xurui Wang Yun-Cai Liu Qian Mei Weidong Han Zhengfan Jiang 2020Cell Research2020,30,11:27
6Laser cleaning of steel structure surface for paint removal and repaint adhesion显示文摘Paint removal from steel structure is executed for shipyards of marine and offshore engineering.Due to environmental unfriendliness and unhealthy drawbacks of sand blasting technique, laser ablation technique is proposed as a substituting method.By absorbing high energy of the 1064 nm pulsed laser, the paint is vaporized quickly.The ablated debris is then collected by using a suction pump.Initial metal surface of the steel is exposed when laser beam irradiates perpendicularly and scans over it.The cleaned surface fulfills the requirements of surface preparation standards ISO 8501 of SA2.The adhesion is further characterized with pull-off test after carrying out painting with Jotamastic 87 aluminum paint.The repainting can be embedded onto the laser cleaned surface to bond much more tightly.The excellent adhesion strength of 20 MPa between repainted coating and the substrate is achieved, which is higher than what is required by shipyards applications.Xiaoguang Li Tingting Huang Ang Wei Chong Rui Zhou Yoo Sang Choo Minghui Hong 2017光电工程2017,44,3:24

8Overexpressed miRNA-155 dysregulates intestinal epithelial apical junctional complex in severe acute pancreatitis显示文摘AIM:To investigate whether miRNA-155(miR-155)dysregulates apical junctional complex(AJC)protein expression in experimental severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).METHODS:Twenty-four male BALB/c mice were randomly assigned to two groups:the SAP group(n=12)receiving sequential intraperitoneal injection of 50μg/kg caerulein and 10 mg/kg lipopolysaccharide over 6h,and the control group(n=12)receiving intraperitoneal injection of normal saline.Animals were sacrificed3 h following the last injection for collection of blood samples and pancreas and distal ileal segment specimens.Routine pancreas and intestine histology was used to assess SAP pathology and intestinal epithelial barrier damage.Levels of serum amylase,diamine oxidase(DAO),and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αwere determined using commercial kits.Total RNA samples were isolated from intestinal epithelial specimens and reversely transcribed into cDNA.miR-155 and RhoA mRNA expression profiles were determined using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction.Target genes for miR-155 were predicted using the miRTarBase database,RNA22 and PicTar computational methods.Western blotting was performed to quantitate the protein expression levels of the target gene RhoA,as well as zonula occludens(ZO)-1 and E-cadherin,two AJC component proteins.RESULTS:Intraperitoneal injection of caerulein and lipopolysaccharide successfully induced experimental acute pancreatic damage(SAP vs control,10.0±2.0vs 3.2±1.2,P<0.01)and intestinal epithelial barrier damage(3.2±0.7 vs 1.4±0.7,P<0.01).Levels of serum amylase(21.6±5.1 U/mL vs 14.3±4.2 U/mL,P<0.01),DAO(21.4±4.1 mg/mL vs 2.6±0.8 mg/mL,P<0.01),and TNF-α(61.0±15.1 ng/mL vs 42.9±13.9 ng/mL,P<0.01)increased significantly in SAP mice compared to those in control mice.miR-155 was significantly overexpressed in SAP intestinal epithelia(1.94±0.50 fold vs 1.03±0.23 fold,P<0.01),and RhoA gene containing three miR-155-specific binding sites in the three prime untranslated regions was one of the target genes for miR-155.RhoA(22.7±5.8 folds vs 59.6±11.6 folds,P<0.01),ZO-1(46±18 folds vs68±19 folds,P<0.01),and E-cadherin proteins(48±15 folds vs 77±18 folds,P<0.01)were underexpressed in SAP intestinal epithelia although RhoA mRNA expression was not significantly changed in SAP(0.97±0.18 folds vs 1.01±0.17 folds,P>0.05).CONCLUSION:TNF-α-regulated miR-155 overexpression inhibits AJC component protein syntheses of ZO-1,and E-cadherin by downregulating post-transcriptional RhoA expression,and disrupts intestinal epithelial barrier in experimental SAP.Rui Tian Rui-Lan Wang Hui Xie Wei Jin Kang-Long Yu 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,45:19

10Survival of transplanted neurotrophin-3 expressing human neural stem cells and motor function in a rat model of spinal cord injury显示文摘<正>BACKGROUND:Many methods have been attempted to repair nerves following spinal cord injury, including peripheral nerve transplantation,Schwann cell transplantation,olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation,and embryonic neural tissue transplantation.However,there is a need for improved outcomes. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the repair feasibility for rat spinal cord injury using human neural stem cells(hNSCs) genetically modified by lentivirus to express neurotrophin-3. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:In vitro cell biological experiment and in vivo randomized,controlled, genetic engineering experiment were performed at the Third Military Medical University of Chinese PLA and First People's Hospital of Yibin,China from March 2006 to December 2007. MATERIALS:A total of 64 adult,female,Wistar rats were used for the in vivo study.Of them,48 rats were used to establish models of spinal cord hemisection,and were subsequently equally and randomly assigned to model,genetically modified hNSC,and normal hNSC groups.The remaining 16 rats served as normal controls. METHODS:hNSCs were in vitro genetically modified by lentivirus to secrete both green fluorescence protein and neurotrophin-3.Neurotrophin-3 expression was measured by Western blot. Genetically modified hNSC or normal hNSC suspension(5×10~5) was injected into the rat spinal cord following T_(10) spinal cord hemisection.A total of 5μL Dulbecco's-modified Eagle's medium was infused into the rat spinal cord in the model group.Transgene expression and survival of transplanted hNSCs were determined by immunohistochemistry.Motor function was evaluated using the Basso,Beattie,and Bresnahan(BBB) scale. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The following parameters were measured:expression of neurotrophin-3 produced by genetically modified hNSCs,transgene expression and survival of hNSCs in rats,motor function in rats. RESULTS:hNSCs were successfully genetically modified by lentivirus to stably express neurotrophin-3.The transplanted hNSCs primarily gathered at,or around,the injection site two weeks following transplantation,and gradually migrated towards the surrounding tissue. Transplanted hNSCs were observed 7.0-8.0 mm away from the injection site.In addition,hNSCs were observed 10 weeks after transplantation.At week 4,BBB locomotor scores were significantly greater in the genetically modified hNSC and normal hNSC groups,compared with the model group (P<0.05),and scores were significantly greater in the genetically modified hNSC group compared with the normal hNSC group(P<0.05). 12Minimally invasive surgery alone compared with intensity-modulated radiotherapy for primary stage I nasopharyngeal carcinoma显示文摘Background:The National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines recommend intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)as the primary curative treatment for newly diagnosed nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC),but the radiation-related complications and relatively high medical costs remain a consequential burden for the patients.Endoscopic nasopharyngectomy(ENPG)was successfully applied in recurrent NPC with radiation free and relatively low medical costs.In this study,we examined whether ENPG could be an effective treatment for localized stage I NPC.Methods:Ten newly diagnosed localized stage I NPC patients voluntarily received ENPG alone from June 2007 to September 2017 in Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center.Simultaneously,the data of 329 stage I NPC patients treated with IMRT were collected and used as a reference cohort.The survival outcomes,quality of life(QOL),and medical costs between two groups were compared.Results:After a median follow-up of 59.0 months(95%CI 53.4-64.6),no death,locoregional recurrence,or distant metastasis was observed in the 10 patients treated with ENPG.The 5-year overall survival,local relapse-free survival,regional relapse-free survival,and distant metastasis-free survival among the ENPG-treated patients was similar to that among the IMRT-treated patients(100%vs.99.1%,100%vs.97.7%,100%vs.99.0%,100%vs.97.4%,respectively,P>0.05).In addition,compared with IMRT,ENPG was associated with decreased total medical costs($4090.42±1502.65 vs.$12620.88±4242.65,P<0.001)and improved QOL scores including dry mouth(3.3±10.5 vs.34.4±25.8,P<0.001)and sticky saliva(3.3±10.5 vs.32.6±23.3,P<0.001).Conclusions:ENPG alone was associated with promising long-term survival outcomes,low medical costs,and satisfactory QOL and might therefore be an alternative strategy for treating newly diagnosed localized stage I NPC patients who refused radiotherapy.However,the application of ENPG should be prudent,and prospective clinical tri-als were needed to further verify the results.You-Ping Liu Xing Lv Xiong Zou Yi-Jun Hua Rui You Qi Yang Le Xia Shao-Yan Guo Wen Hu Meng-Xia Zhang Si-Yuan Chen Mei Lin Yu-Long Xie Li-Zhi Liu Rui Sun Pei-Yu Huang Wei Fan Xiang Guo Ming-Huang Hong Ming-Yuan Chen 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:17
13The role of the HIF-1α/ALYREF/PKM2 axis in glycolysis and tumorigenesis of bladder cancer显示文摘Background:As a rate-limiting enzyme of glycolysis,pyruvate kinase muscle isozyme M2(PKM2)participates in tumor metabolism and growth.The regulatory network of PKM2 in cancer is complex and has not been fully studied in bladder cancer.The 5-methylcytidine(m5C)modification in PKM2 mRNA might participate in the pathogenesis of bladder cancer and need to be further clarified.This study aimed to investigate the biological function and regulatory mechanism of PKM2 in bladder cancer.Methods:The expression of PKM2 and Aly/REF export factor(ALYREF)was measured by Western blotting,qRT-PCR,and immunohistochemistry.The bioprocesses of bladder cancer cells were demonstrated by a series of experiments in vitro and in vivo.RNA immunoprecipitation,RNA-sequencing,and dualluciferase reporter assays were conducted to explore the potential regulatory mechanisms of PKM2 in bladder cancer.Results:In bladder cancer,we first demonstrated that ALYREF stabilized PKM2 mRNA and bound to its m5C sites in 3′-untranslated regions.Overexpression of ALYREF promoted bladder cancer cell proliferation by PKM2-mediated glycolysis.Furthermore,high expression of PKM2 and ALYREF predicted poor survival in bladder cancer patients.Finally,we found that hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha(HIF-1α)indirectly up-regulated the expression of PKM2 by activating ALYREF in addition to activating its transcription directly.Conclusions:The m5C modification in PKM2 mRNA in the HIF-1α/ALYREF/PKM2 axis may promote the glucose metabolism of bladder cancer,providing a new promising therapeutic target for bladder cancer.Jing-Zi Wang Wei Zhu Jie Han Xiao Yang Rui Zhou Hong-Cheng Lu Hao Yu Wen-Bo Yuan Peng-Chao Li Jun Tao Qiang Lu Ji-Fu Wei Haiwei Yang 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,7:17
14Microwave Exposure Impairs Synaptic Plasticity in the Rat Hippocampus and PC12 Cells through Over-activation of the NMDA Receptor Signaling Pathway显示文摘Objective The aim of this study is to investigate whether microwave exposure would affect the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor(NMDAR) signaling pathway to establish whether this plays a role in synaptic plasticity impairment. Methods 48 male Wistar rats were exposed to 30 m W/cm2 microwave for 10 min every other day for three times. Hippocampal structure was observed through H&E staining and transmission electron microscope. PC12 cells were exposed to 30 m W/cm2 microwave for 5 min and the synapse morphology was visualized with scanning electron microscope and atomic force microscope. The release of amino acid neurotransmitters and calcium influx were detected. The expressions of several key NMDAR signaling molecules were evaluated. Results Microwave exposure caused injury in rat hippocampal structure and PC12 cells, especially the structure and quantity of synapses. The ratio of glutamic acid and gamma-aminobutyric acid neurotransmitters was increased and the intracellular calcium level was elevated in PC12 cells. A significant change in NMDAR subunits(NR1, NR2 A, and NR2B) and related signaling molecules(Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent kinase II gamma and phosphorylated c AMP-response element binding protein) were examined. Conclusion 30 m W/cm2 microwave exposure resulted in alterations of synaptic structure, amino acid neurotransmitter release and calcium influx. 15Infantile hepatic hemangioendothelioma:A clinicopathologic study in a Chinese population显示文摘AIM:To investigate whether the clinicopathologic features of infantile hemangioendothelioma(IHE) of the liver in a Chinese population are similar to the features observed in other races.METHODS:The clinical data,radiological findings,histopathological changes and outcome of 12 cases of IHE diagnosed by the Department of Pathology,West China Hospital over the last 10 years were analyzed retrospectively.Immunohistochemical studies were carried out using antibodies against CD31,CD34,Factor Ⅷ,cytokeratin 8 and cytokeratin 18.RESULTS:The 12 patients were aged from fetal to 5 years(three males and nine females).The tumor was presented with different clinical manifestations,mainly as an asymptomatic,palpable,upper abdominal mass,except for the two fetuses who were detected antena-tally by ultrasound.In one patient,this presentation was accompanied by an initial severe pneumothorax.No symptoms of congestive heart failure were present and neither congenital abnormalities nor vascular tumors in the skin or other organs were found.Laboratory abnormalities included leukocytosis(40%),anemia(60%),thrombocytosis(60%),hyperbilirubinemia(16.7%),abnormal liver function(50%) and increased α-fetoprotein(80%).Based on radiological findings and gross specimens,the tumor presented as a solitary lesion or a multifocal space-occupying lesion.The tumor size ranged from 5.0 cm × 3.5 cm × 2.0 cm to 13.8 cm × 9.0 cm × 7.7 cm,and the 0.2-1.1 cm nodules were diffusely distributed within the multifocal tumor.Seven cases were surgically resected,three cases underwent biopsy and the two fetuses were aborted.Histologically,nine cases were classified as typeⅠ and three as type Ⅱ,presenting aggressive morphologic features,immature vessels,active mitosis and necrosis.An inflammatory component,predominantly eosinophilic granulocytes,sometimes obscured the nature of the tumor.Ten patients are alive after a follow-up of 1-9 years.Based on immunohistochemistry,the endothelial cells in all cases were positive for CD31,CD34 and polyclonal factor Ⅷ antigen,whereas the scattered hyperplasia bile ducts were positive for cytokeratin 8 and cytokeratin 18.CONCLUSION:The clinical manifestations of IHE are non-specific.There is no significant correlation between histological type and prognosis.The clinicopathologic features of IHE in Chinese patients may provide a clue to further evidence-based studies.Zhang Zhang,Hui-Jiao Chen,Wen-Juan Yang,Hong Bu,Bing Wei,Xiao-Yu Long,Jing Fu,Rui Zhang,Yun-Bi Ni,Hong-Ying Zhang,Department of Pathology,West China Hospital,Sichuan University,Guoxuexiang 37,Chengdu 610041,Sichuan Province,China 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,36:16

17Fatigue behavior of Ti-6Al-4V cellular structures fabricated by additive manufacturing technique显示文摘Porous titanium and its alloys have been considered as promising replacement for dense implants, as they possess low elastic modulus comparable to that of compact human bones and are capable of providing space for in-growth of bony tissues to achieve a better fixation. Recently, the additive manufacturing(AM) method has been successfully applied to the fabrication of Ti-6 Al-4 V cellular meshes and foams.Comparing to traditional fabrication methods, the AM method offers advantages of accurate control of complex cell shapes and internal pore architectures, thus attracting extensive attention. Considering the long-term safety in the human body, the metallic cellular structures should possess high fatigue strength.In this paper, the recent progress on the fatigue properties of Ti-6 Al-4 V cellular structures fabricated by the AM technique is reviewed. 20Real-time transient stability assessment in power system based on improved SVM显示文摘Due to the strict requirements of extremely high accuracy and fast computational speed, real-time transient stability assessment(TSA) has always been a tough problem in power system analysis.Fortunately, the development of artificial intelligence and big data technologies provide the new prospective methods to this issue, and there have been some successful trials on using intelligent method, such as support vector machine(SVM) method.However, the traditional SVM method cannot avoid false classification, and the interpretability of the results needs to be strengthened and clear.This paper proposes a new strategy to solve the shortcomings of traditional SVM,which can improve the interpretability of results, and avoid the problem of false alarms and missed alarms.In this strategy, two improved SVMs, which are called aggressive support vector machine(ASVM) and conservative support vector machine(CSVM), are proposed to improve the accuracy of the classification.And two improved SVMs can ensure the stability or instability of the power system in most cases.For the small amount of cases with undetermined stability, a new concept of grey region(GR) is built to measure the uncertainty of the results, and GR can assessment the instable probability of the power system.Cases studies on IEEE 39-bus system and realistic provincial power grid illustrate the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed strategy.Wei HU Zongxiang LU Shuang WU Weiling ZHANG Yu DONG Rui YU Baisi LIU 2019Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2019,7,1:14
