2Hotspots of the sensitivity of the land surface hydrological cycle to climate change显示文摘Due to the shortage of the global observational data of the terrestrial hydrological variables,the understanding of how surface hydrological processes respond to climate change is still limited.In this study,the Community Land Model(CLM4.0)with high resolution atmospheric forcing data is selected to simulate the global surface hydrological quantities during the period 1948–2006and to investigate the spatial features of these quantities in response to climate change at the regional scales.The sensitivities of evaporation and runoff with respect to the dominant climate change factors(e.g.temperature and precipitation)derived from the concept of climate elasticity are introduced.Results show that evaporation has a declining trend with a rate of 0.7 mm per decade,while runoff shows a weak increasing trend of 0.15 mm per decade over the global land surface.Analyses of the hotspots in the hydrological cycle indicate that the spatial distributions for evaporation and runoff are similar over many areas in central Asia,Australia,and southern South America,but differ largely in high latitudes.It is also found that,the evaporation hotspots in arid regions are mainly associated with the changes in precipitation.Our sensitive analysis suggests that the hydrological quantities show a rather complicated spatial dependency of response of the water cycle to the different climate factors(temperature and precipitation).HUA WenJian CHEN HaiShan ZHU SiGuang SUN ShanLei YU Miao ZHOU LiMing 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,30:7

4Investigation of anode shaping process during co-rotating electrochemical machining of convex structure on inner surface显示文摘A novel co-rotating electrochemical machining method is proposed for fabricating convex structures on the inner surface of a revolving part.The electrodes motion and material removal method of co-rotating electrochemical machining are different from traditional electrochemical machining.An equivalent kinematic model is established to analyze the novel electrodes motion,since the anode and cathode rotate in the same direction while the cathode simultaneously feeds along the line of centres.According to the kinematic equations of the electrodes and Faraday’s law,a material removal model is established to simulate the evolution of the anode profile in co-rotating electrochemical machining.The simulation results indicate that the machining accuracy of the convex structure is strongly affected by the angular velocity ratio and the radius of the cathode tool.An increase of the angular velocity ratio can improve the machining accuracy of a convex structure.A small difference in the radius of the cathode tool will cause changes in the shape of the sidewalls of the convex structure.The width of the cathode window affects only the width of the convex structure and the inclination a of the sidewall.A relation between the width of the cathode window and the width of the convex structure was obtained.The formation process for a convex structure under electrochemical dissolution was revealed.Based on the simulation results,the optimal angular velocity ratio and cathode radius were selected for an experimental verification,and 12 convex structures were simultaneously fabricated on the inner surface of a thin-walled revolving part.The experimental results are in good agreement with the simulation results,which verifies the correctness of the theoretical analysis.Therefore,inner surface co-rotating electrochemical machining is an effective method for fabricating convex structures on the inner surface of a revolving part.Shuofang ZHOU Dengyong WANG Wenjian CAO Di ZHU 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,7:2
5Anodic dissolution mechanism of TA15 titanium alloy during counter-rotating electrochemical machining显示文摘Counter-rotating electrochemical machining(CRECM)is a novel shaping method with advantages in processing revolving parts,especially engine casings.However,few researchers have studied the anodic behaviour of the counter-rotating state.This paper aims to analyse the anode dissolution behaviour of TA15 and obtain desired surface qualities in CRECM.The anodic characteristics were measured by polarization and cyclic voltammetry curves,and the passive-trans passive behaviour of TA15 was revealed.The electrode surface structures at different stages were analysed using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),and a quantitative dissolution model was established to illustrate the electrochemical dissolution and structural evolution of the revolving surfaces.A series of CRECM experiments were conducted,and three stages(pitting corrosion,pitting expansion,and smoothing)were detected according to the current signals.In the first stage,an oxide film with small pores was formed initially on the metal surface when exposed to air.This air-formed oxide film was broken down locally during the electrochemical reaction process,resulting in the occurrence of pitting.With the increase of electricity,the oxide layer became thinner,and the pitting areas expanded and began to connect with each other.In this stage,the surface quality was poor owing to the uneven material dissolution.When the amount of electricity approximately reached a constant,the oxide layer was completely removed,and a very thin salt film was generated at the metal-electrolyte interface.In this stage,the material was dissolved uniformly,and the surface was smooth without pitting corrosion.Based on the obtained results,anode workpieces with grid-like convex structures were fabricated using CRECM.Both the revolving surface and the sidewalls of the convex structures can be controlled from pitting to smoothness.CAO WenJian WANG DengYong CUI GuoWei ZHU Di 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,6:1

8Superhigh selective capture of volatile organic compounds exploiting cigarette butts-derived engineering carbonaceous adsorbent显示文摘Herein,we develop cost-efficient superhigh-performance of engineering carbonaceous adsorbent from cigarette butts using combined wet-impregnated and re-dispersed method of KOH,which optimizes the implant approach of activator,breaking the restriction of selective capture of toluene using traditional activated carbon.The Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area and pore volume of targeted adsorbent can attain 3088 m^(2)·g^(-1) and 1.61 cm^(3)·g^(-1),respectively,by optimizing the temperaturedependent synthetic factor effect of the adsorbent.The adsorption capacity of resultant adsorbent for presenting volatile benzene and toluene shows a positive correlation with increasing carbonization temperature of carbon precursor.Besides,we demonstrated the unsmoked and smoked butts derived adsorbents afford feeble difference in saturated adsorbed capacity of volatile organic compounds(VOCs).The highest adsorption capacity of sample CF-800 for benzene and toluene in CF group is as high as 1268.1 and 1181.6 mg·g^(-1) respectively,slightly higher than that of sample UF-800,but far outperforming reported other adsorbents.The predicted adsorption selectivity of CF-800 and UF-800 for C_(7)H_(8)/H_(2)O(g)using the DIH(difference of isosteric heats)equation reach up to ca.3800 and 7500 respectively,indicating the weak adsorbability of water vapor on the developed adsorbent and greater superiority of the smoked butts derived adsorbents in selective capture of VOCs at low relative humidity in the competitive adsorption process for practical mixed VOCs.Wenjian Zhu Xuhua Shen Rui Ou Manoj Murugesan Aihua Yuan Jianfeng Liu Xiaocai Hu Zhen Yang Ming Shen Fu Yang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,6:1

12Evolution of convex structure during counter-rotating electrochemical machining based on kinematic modeling显示文摘Counter-rotating electrochemical machining(CRECM)is a novel electrochemical machining(ECM)method,which can be used to machine convex structures with complex shapes on the outer surface of casings.In this study,the evolution of the convex structure during CRECM is studied.The complex motion form of CRECM is replaced by an equivalent kinematic model,in which the movement of the cathode tool is realized by matrix equations.The trajectory of the cathode tool center satisfies the Archimedes spiral equation,and the feed depth in adjacent cycles is a constant.The simulation results show that the variations of five quality indexes for the convex structure:as machining time increases,the height increases linearly,and the width reduces linearly,the fillets at the top and root fit the rational function,and the inclination angle of the convex satisfies the exponential function.The current density distributions with different rotation angles is investigated.Owing to the differential distribution of current density on workpiece surface,the convex is manufactured with the cathode window transferring into and out of the processing area.Experimental results agree very well with the simulation,which indicates that the proposed model is effective for prediction the evolution of the convex structure in CRECM.Wenjian CAO Dengyong WANG Zhiyuan REN Di ZHU 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,3:1
13Modeling and characterizing the typical under-ice acoustic channel for the Arctic显示文摘The properties of arctic underwater acoustic channel were researched using BurkeTwersky(BT) model and ray theory.In the BT model,sea ice ridge is assumed as a set of semi-elliptical cylinder randomly distributed on a stress-free surface.By approximation of low frequency and high frequency of the BT model,the reflection coefficients were calculated at different frequencies.On the basis of ray theory,the acoustic field was calculated and the properties of underwater acoustic channel was analyzed.Compared to underwater acoustic channel properties when the boundary is air,the results show that under the ice surface some sound rays disappear during transmission,because the ice surface reflection coefficients is less than absolute soft surface.Especially,the higher the frequency,the higher the under-ice transmission loss.As a result,under-ice condition is unfavourable for acoustic signals to travel far.Besides,as to the channel structure,the reflection coefficient of ice layer is smaller,the channel multi-path structure is not significant compared to water-air interface without ice.The research results are valuable for our understanding of hydroacoustic channel and the prediction of the sonar system working in the polar region.ZHU Guangping YIN Jingwei ZHOU Huanling CHEN Wenjian HU Siwei GUO Longxiang 2019Chinese Journal of Acoustics2019,38,2:1
14A novel strategy of fabricated flexible ITO electrode by liquid metal ultra-thin oxide film显示文摘Flexible transparent conductive films are gaining attention day by day over the last few years due to it is a key component of next generation flexible electronics and optoelectronic devices.Indium tin oxide(ITO)as one of the most widely used transparent conductive material is limited by the traditional deposition approach cannot be achieve ultra-thin,which results in its brittle nature.Herein,a novel strategy for fabricating highly transparent conductive films by liquid metal interface phase separation technique based on low-melting liquid metal of InxSn100-x alloy is reported,during the solid-to-liquid phase transition of alloy,the monolayer of surface oxide film segregated with the bulk phase and was printed on the flexible polyethylene-naphthalate(PEN)substrate under the van der Waals.This novel strategy can directly print the ultra-thin self-oxide with the structure of ITO on PEN substrate,with the resulting of transparency over 97.5%and resistivity as low as 0.21 kU cm,providing a new way of lowcost raw ITO material as well as the personalized preparation strategy.The desirable highly transparent conductive films are comparable to recently reported ITO film,together with advantages of pretty steady,make them attractive as various flexible transparent conductive electrodes,for example,an ultra-thin ITO film is developed for luminescent devices.Yunhui Wu Xufeng Liu Wenjian Wu Yuanmin Zhu Kunquan Li Xiaojing Su Huali Xie Xiaofan Zhang Haitao Xu Kang Wang Zhi-Min Dang 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,6:1
