| 1 | Geological and Geochemical Characteristics and Exploration Prospect of Coal-Derived Tight Sandstone Gas in China: Case Study of the Ordos, Sichuan, and Tarim Basins显示文摘This work extensively investigated global tight sandstone gas, and geologically and geochemically analyzed the tight sandstone gas in China's Ordos, Sichuan, and Tarim basins. We compared typical tight sandstone gas in China with that in North America. We proposed six conditions for the formation of China's tight sandstone gas, and illustrated the geological characteristics of tight sandstone gas. In China, gas-bearing tight sandstones were mainly deposited in continental lake deltas and marine-terrigenous facies basin environments, associated with coal-measure strata, and were mostly buried deeper than 2000 m under a formation pressure of 20–30 MPa, with pressure coefficients varying from overpressure to negative pressure. In other countries, tight gas bearing sandstones were dominantly deposited in marine to marine-terrigenous facies environments, occurred in coal-measure strata, and were mostly buried shallower than 2000 m in low-pressure systems. We systematically analyzed tight sandstone gas in the Ordos, Sichuan, and Tarim basins in terms of chemical compositions, geochemical characteristics of carbon isotopes, origins, and sources. Tight sandstone gas in China usually has a hydrocarbon content of >95%, with CH4 content >90%, and a generally higher dry coefficient. In the three above-mentioned large tight sandstone gas regions, δ13 C1 and δ13 C2 mainly ranges from-42‰ to-28‰ and from-28‰ to-21‰, respectively. Type III coal-measure source rocks that closely coexist with tight reservoirs are developed extensively in these gas regions. The organic petrology of source rocks and the carbon isotope compositions of gas indicate that tight sandstone gas in China is dominantly coal-derived gas generated by coal-measure strata. Our analysis of carbon isotope series shows that local isotope reversals are mainly caused by the mixing of gases of different maturities and that were generated at different stages. With increasing maturity, the reversal tendency becomes more apparent. Moreover, natural gas with medium-low maturity(e.g., Xujiahe Formation natural gas in the Sichuan Basin) presents an apparent reversal at a low-maturity stage, a normal series at a medium-maturity stage, and a reversal tendency again at a high-maturity stage. Finally, we proposed four conditions for preferred tight sandstone gas 'sweep spots,' and illustrated the recoverable reserves, proven reserves, production, and exploration prospects of tight sandstone gas. | 2 | Analysis of the ore-controlling structure of the Shihu gold deposit, Hebei Province and deep-seated ore-prospecting prediction显示文摘Under the guidance of the theory of mantle-branch structure-associated metallogenesis and on the basis of the geological characteristics, analysis of the ore-forming and ore-controlling structures, the geochemical characteristics of metallogenesis, the source of ore-forming materials, changes in the physical and chemical conditions of metallogenesis, changes in the vertical width of ore veins, and changes in gold grade of the Shihu gold deposit, the mechanism of its metallogenesis was discussed and the rules of vertical variation of ore veins were summarized in this study. It is pointed out that the orebodies under exploitation at present time should be in the middle and upper portions of gold veins in the Shihu gold mining district. Particularly on the basis of the characteristics of mantle-branch structure-associated metallogenesis, it is indicated that metallogenesis is controlled mainly by such ore-forming conditions as temperature and pressure. Deep-seated ore-forming fluids are characterized mainly by injection and precipitation. So the vein bodies in the adjacent metallogenic structures are of obvious comparability, and there would be great prospects for ore search both at depth and in the periphery of the Shihu gold deposit. | 3 | Fine mapping of the rice bacterial blight resistance gene Xa-4 and its co-segregation marker显示文摘An F2 population developed from the Xa-4 near isogenic lines, IR24 and IRBB4, was used for fine mapping of the rice bacterial blight resistance gene, Xa-4. Some restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) markers on the high-density map constructed by Harushima et al. and the amplified DMA fragments homologous to the conserved domains of plant disease resistance (R) genes were used to construct the genetic linkage map around the gene Xa-4 by scoring susceptible individuals in the population. Xa-4 was mapped between the RFLP marker G181 and the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) marker M55. The R gene homologous fragment marker RS13 was found co-segregating with Xa-4 by analyzing all the plants in the population. | 20 | Population genomics reveals demographic history and selection signatures of hazelnut (Corylus)显示文摘Hazelnut(Corylus spp.)is known as one of the four famous tree nuts in the world due to its pleasant taste and nutritional benefits.However,hazelnut promotion worldwide is increasingly challenged by global climate change,limiting its production to a few regions.Focusing on the eurytopic Section Phyllochlamys,we conducted whole-genome resequencing of 125 diverse accessions from five geo-ecological zones in Eurasia to elucidate the genomic basis of adaptation and improvement.Population structure inference outlined five distinct genetic lineages corresponding to climate conditions and breeding background,and highlighted the differentiation between European and Asian lineages.Demographic dynamics and ecological niche modeling revealed that Pleistocene climatic oscillations dominantly shaped the extant genetic patterns,and multiple environmental factors have contributed to the lineage divergence.Whole-genome scans identified 279,111,and 164 selective sweeps that underlie local adaptation in Corylus heterophylla,Corylus kweichowensis,and Corylus yunnanensis,respectively.Relevant positively selected genes were mainly involved in regulating signaling pathways,growth and development,and stress resistance.The improvement signatures of hybrid hazelnut were concentrated in 312 and 316 selected genes,when compared to C.heterophylla and Corylus avellana,respectively,including those that regulate protein polymerization,photosynthesis,and response to water deprivation.Among these loci,22 candidate genes were highly associated with the regulation of biological quality.Our study provides insights into evolutionary processes and the molecular basis of how sibling species adapt to contrasting environments,and offers valuable resources for future climate-resilient breeding. | Zhen Yang Wenxu Ma Lujun Wang Xiaohong Yang Tiantian Zhao Lisong Liang Guixi Wang Qinghua Ma | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,5: | 0 |
