1Temporal and spatial variations of the active layer along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway in a permafrost region显示文摘Using monitored active layer thickness(ALT) and environmental variables of 10 observation fields along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway in permafrost region of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(QTP),a model for ALT estimation was developed. The temporal and spatial characteristics of the ALT were also analyzed. The results showed that in the past 30 years ALT in the study region increased at a rate of 1.33 cm a-1.Temperatures at the upper limit of permafrost and at 50 cm depth, along with soil cumulative temperature at 5 cm depth also exhibited a rising trend.Soil heat flux increased at a rate of 0.1 Wm-2 a-1.All the above changes demonstrated that the degradation of permafrost happened in the study region on the QTP.The initial thawing date of active layer was advanced, while the initial freezing date was delayed. The number of thawing days increased to a rate of 1.18 da-1.The variations of active layer were closely related to the permafrost type, altitude, underlying surface type and soil composition. The variations were more evident in cold permafrost region than in warm permafrost region,in high-altitude region than in low-altitude region,in alpine meadow region than in alpine steppe region;and in fine-grained soil region than in coarse-grained soil region.LI Ren ZHAO Lin DING YongJian WU TongHua XIAO Yao DU ErJi LIU GuangYue QIAO YongPing 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,35:51
2Activity criterion of pre-existing fabrics in non-homogeneous deformation domain显示文摘The Anderson's model can be applied only to elastic homogeneous deformation and cannot explain complicated phenomena of natural faults, which to a large degree limits the model to practical application. By combing the Coulomb-Mohr Criterion with the sandbox modeling and considering non-homogeneous deformation, mechanisms of how basement pre-existing fabrics control fault formation and evolution are analyzed and a mechanical factor, activation-coefficient (faS) of pre-existing fabrics, is proposed. It is determined by the attitude and mechanical properties of pre-existing fabric, and the stress state (the magnitudes and directions of the three principal stresses). The coefficient has taken the heterogeneity of rocks into account and may serve as a criterion for evaluating the activity of a pre-existing fabric. The Mohr-Coulomb Criterion is expanded to non-homogeneous deformation domain in terms of activation-coefficient (faS) of pre-existing fabrics, the general law of the activity of a pre-existing fabric is predicted, the fault complexity real of rift basin is revealed in theory, and the controlling law of basement pre-existing faults to fault formation and evolution is determined, and checked with sandbox modeling. A new way is provided for in-depth study of faulting.TONG HengMao CAI DongSheng WU YongPing LI XiaoGuang LI XuShen MENG LingJian 2010Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,8:17
3Modeling permafrost properties in the Qinghai-Xizang(Tibet) Plateau显示文摘Water and heat dynamics in the active layer at a monitoring site in the Tanggula Mountains, located in the permafrost region of the Qinghai-Xizang(Tibet) Plateau(QXP), were studied using the physical-process-based COUPMODEL model, including the interaction between soil temperature and moisture under freeze-thaw cycles. Meteorological, ground temperature and moisture data from different depths within the active layer were used to calibrate and validate the model. The results indicate that the calibrated model satisfactorily simulates the soil temperatures from the top to the bottom of the soil layers as well as the moisture content of the active layer in permafrost regions. The simulated soil heat flux at depths of 0 to 20 cm was consistent with the monitoring data, and the simulations of the radiation balance components were reasonable. Energy consumed for phase change was estimated from the simulated ice content during the freeze/thaw processes from 2007 to 2008. Using this model, the active layer thickness and the energy consumed for phase change were predicted for future climate warming scenarios. The model predicts an increase of the active layer thickness from the current 330 cm to approximately 350–390 cm as a result of a 1–2°C warming. However, the effect active layer thickness of more precipitation is limited when the precipitation is increased by 20%–50%. The COUPMODEL provides a useful tool for predicting and understanding the fate of permafrost in the QXP under a warming climate.HU GuoJie ZHAO Lin WU XiaoDong LI Ren WU TongHua XIE ChangWei PANG QiangQiang XIAO Yao LI WangPing QIAO YongPing SHI JianZong 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,12:7

5Chinese expert consensus on the management of chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy-associated coagulopathy显示文摘Chimeric antigen receptor T-cell(CAR-T)therapy has greatly improved the disease remission rate and long-term survival rate of patients with relapsed/refractory hematological malignancies.[1-3]Currently,several commercial CAR-T products are available in the market and numerous CAR-T clinical trials have been conducted.Attention should be paid to the safety of CAR-T therapy. The main adverse effects of CAR-T therapy are cytokine release syndrome(CRS)and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome(ICANS).[4]Heng Mei Fangping Chen Yue Han Ming Hou He Huang Xiaojun Huang Yuhua Li Aibin Liang Qifa Liu Ting Niu Jun Peng Wenbin Qian Yongping Song Jianxiang Wang Ying Wang Depei Wu Kailin Xu Linhua Yang Renchi Yang Lei Zhang Liansheng Zhang Xi Zhang Xiaohui Zhang Weili Zhao Weidong Han Yu Hu 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,14:4
6Modeling Hydrothermal Transfer Processes in Permafrost Regions of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China显示文摘Hydrothermal processes are key components in permafrost dynamics; these processes are integral to global warming. In this study the coupled heat and mass transfer model for(Coup Model) the soil-plant-atmosphere-system is applied in high-altitude permafrost regions and to model hydrothermal transfer processes in freeze-thaw cycles. Measured meteorological forcing and soil and vegetation properties are used in the Coup Model for the period from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2012 at the Tanggula observation site in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. A 24-h time step is used in the model simulation. The results show that the simulated soil temperature and water content, as well as the frozen depth compare well with the measured data. The coefficient of determination(R2) is 0.97 for the mean soil temperature and 0.73 for the mean soil water content, respectively. The simulated soil heat flux at a depth of 0–20 cm is also consistent with the monitored data. An analysis is performed on the simulated hydrothermal transfer processes from the deep soil layer to the upper one during the freezing and thawing period. At the beginning of the freezing period, the water in the deep soil layer moves upward to the freezing front and releases heat during the freezing process. When the soil layer is completely frozen, there are no vertical water exchanges between the soil layers, and the heat exchange process is controlled by the vertical soil temperature gradient. During the thawing period, the downward heat process becomes more active due to increased incoming shortwave radiation at the ground surface. The melt water is quickly dissolved in the soil, and the soil water movement only changes in the shallow soil layer. Subsequently, the model was used to provide an evaluation of the potential response of the active layer to different scenarios of initial water content and climate warming at the Tanggula site. The results reveal that the soil water content and the organic layer provide protection against active layer deepening in summer, so climate warming will cause the permafrost active layer to become deeper and permafrost degradation.HU Guojie ZHAO Lin LI Ren WU Tonghua WU Xiaodong PANG Qiangqiang XIAO Yao QIAO Yongping SHI Jianzong 2015Chinese Geographical Science2015,25,6:4
7An analytical model for estimating soil temperature profiles on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China显示文摘Soil temperature is a key variable in the control of underground hydro-thermal processes. To estimate soil temperature more accurately, this study proposed a solution method of the heat conduction equation of soil temperature(improved heat conduction model) by applying boundary conditions that incorporate the annual and diurnal variations of soil surface temperature and the temporal variation of daily temperature amplitude, as well as the temperature difference between two soil layers in the Tanggula observation site of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China. We employed both the improved heat conduction model and the classical heat conduction model to fit soil temperature by using the 5 cm soil layer as the upper boundary for soil depth. The results indicated that the daily soil temperature amplitude can be better described by the sinusoidal function in the improved model, which then yielded more accurate soil temperature simulating effect at the depth of 5 cm. The simulated soil temperature values generated by the improved model and classical heat conduction model were then compared to the observed soil temperature values at different soil depths. Statistical analyses of the root mean square error(RMSE), the normalized standard error(NSEE) and the bias demonstrated that the improved model showed higher accuracy, and the average values of RMSE, bias and NSEE at the soil depth of 10–105 cm were 1.41°C, 1.15°C and 22.40%, respectively. These results indicated that the improved heat conduction model can better estimate soil temperature profiles compared to the traditional model.HU Guojie ZHAO Lin WU Xiaodong LI Ren WU Tonghua XIE Changwei QIAO Yongping SHI Jianzong CHENG Guodong 2016Journal of Arid Land2016,8,2:4
8Development of DArT markers for a linkage map of flue-cured tobacco显示文摘Tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum) is one of the most economically important nonfood crops, and flue-cured tobacco accounts for approximately 80% of world tobacco production. An extremely narrow genetic diversity in the tobacco pool has led to a low efficiency of PCR-based molecular markers(such as AFLP and SSR).Diversity Arrays Technology(DArT) is a high-throughput hybridisation-based marker system that has been developed in many plants including wheat, which, like tobacco, has a complex genome. In this study,we developed a tobacco DArT chip that included 7680 representative sequence tags based on typical tobacco accessions. The 1076 DArT markers of flue-cured tobacco were identified and most(82.1%) of their polymorphism information contents(PICs) were greater than 0.4.An integrated linkage map that included 851 markers(238 DArT and 613 SSR),which is the highest density map of flue-cured tobacco to date, was constructed. This chip-based DArT system provides an alternative in high-throughput marker genotyping for tobacco.LU XiuPing GUI YiJie XIAO BingGuang LI YongPing TONG ZhiJun LIU Yun BAI XueFei WU WeiRen XIA Ling HUTTNER Eric KILIAN Adrzej FAN LongJiang 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,6:4
9Responses to climate warming of hydrological processes in the upper Kelan River in the Altay Mountains, Xinjiang, China显示文摘Kelan River is a branch of the Ertix River, originating in the Altay Mountains in Xinjiang, northwestern China. The upper streams of the Kelan River are located on the southern slope of the Altay Mountains; they arise from small glacial lakes at an elevation of more than 2,500 m. The total water-collection area of the studied basin, from 988 to 3,480 m, is about 1,655 km2. Almost 95 percent of the basin area is covered with snow in winter. The westerly air masses deplete nearly all the moisture that comes in the form of snow during the winter months in the upper and middle reaches of the basin. That annual flow from the basin is about 382 mm, about 45 percent of which is contributed by snowmelt. The mean annual precipitation in the basin is about 620 mm, which is primarily concentrated in the upper and middle basin. The Kelan River system could be vulnerable to climate change because of substantial contribution from snowmelt runoff. The hydrological system could be altered significantly because of a warming of the climate. The impact of climate change on the hydrological cycle and events would pose an additional threat to the Altay region. The Kelan River, a typical snow-dominated watershed, has more area at higher elevations and accumulates snow during the winter. The peak flow occurs as a result of snow-melting during the late spring or early summer. Stream flow varies strongly throughout the year because of seasonal cycles of precipitation, snowpack, temperature, and groundwater. Changes in the temperature and precipitation affect the timing and volume of stream-flow. The stream-flow consists of contributions from meltwater of snow and ice and from runoff of rainfall. Therefore, it has low flow in winter, high flow during the spring and early summer as the snowpack melts, and less flows during the late summer. Because of the warming of the current climate change, hydrology processes of the Kelan River have undergone marked changes, as evidenced by the shift of the maximum flood peak discharge from May to June; the largest monthly runoffs also have an increment of about 15 percent related to before 1980; April-June runoff increased from the 60 percent of the annual runoff before 1980 to nearly 70 percent after 1990. The long-term trend shows temperature and precipitation increased mainly in the winter, but the rainfall declined in summer; hydrological process is manifested by the rising runoff in May and decreasing in June. Warming and the increase of winter and spring snowcover would lead to increased snowmelt, increasing the spring-flood hazards and the maximum flood discharge with disastrous consequences. The changed hydrological patterns caused by climate change have already impacted the urban water supply and agricultural and livestock production along the river.YongPing Shen GuoYa Wang QingBai Wu NingLian Wang WeiYi Mao HongChao Su 2010Research in Cold and Arid Regions2010,2,4:3
102022 Chinese expert consensus and guidelines on clinical management of toxicity in anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma显示文摘Adoptive cellular immunotherapy with chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T cells has emerged as a novel modality for treating relapsed and/or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma(B-NHL).With increasing approval of CAR T-cell products and advances in CAR T cell therapy,CAR T cells are expected to be used in a growing number of cases. However,CAR T-cell-associated toxicities can be severe or even fatal, thus compromising the survival benefit from this therapy.Standardizing and studying the clinical management of these toxicities are imperative. In contrast to other hematological malignancies, such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia and multiple myeloma,anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in B-NHL have several distinctive features, most notably local cytokine-release syndrome(CRS).However, previously published guidelines have provided few specific recommendations for the grading and management of toxicities associated with CAR T-cell treatment for B-NHL.Consequently,we developed this consensus for the prevention, recognition, and management of these toxicities,on the basis of published literature regarding the management of anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities and the clinical experience of multiple Chinese institutions. This consensus refines a grading system and classification of CRS in B-NHL and corresponding measures for CRS management, and delineates comprehensive principles and exploratory recommendations for managing anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in addition to CRS.Ping Li Yang Liu Yun Liang Jian Bo Sujun Gao Yongxian Hu Yu Hu He Huang Xiaojun Huang Hongmei Jing Xiaoyan Ke Jianyong Li Yuhua Li Qifa Liu Peihua Lu Heng Mei Ting Niu Yongping Song Yuqin Song Liping Su Sanfang Tu Jianxiang Wang Depei Wu Zhao Wang Kailin Xu Zhitao Ying Qingming Yang Yajing Zhang Fengxia Shi Bin Zhang Huilai Zhang Xi Zhang Mingfeng Zhao Weili Zhao Xiangyu Zhao Liang Huang Jun Zhu Wenbin Qian Weidong Han Aibin Liang 2023Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,2:3
11Melting heat transfer enhancement of a horizontal latent heat storage unit by fern-fractal fins显示文摘The latent heat storage(LHS)technique is of crucial importance in chemical energy engineering.Inspired by multi-bifurcated fern leaves,a mimic fern-fractal fin is designed to improve the thermal energy charging efficiency. This paper develops a transient melting model of a rectangular LHS unit using fern-fractal fins, and their melting behaviors are compared with the conventional fins.Besides,a parametric optimization of fernfractal fins is conducted for maximizing the thermal efficiency based on the response surface method(RSM).The results indicate that the temperature uniformity is more superior and the melting duration is shorter for the fern-fractal LHS unit when compared with the conventional one.Interestingly, the fern-fractal LHS device presents a slower heat storage rate during the initial conduction-dominated and early convection-dominated melting stages, while a prominent melting enhancement is achieved during the later melting stage. The shortest melting time is obtained based on the RSM technique when a fern-fractal fin with length ratio α=0.94 and branch angle θ=54.7°is utilized.Compared with a conventional fin,the averaged heat storage rate increases by 88.3%,and the total melting time is declined by 40.3%for an optimized fern-fractal fin.Zilong Deng Suchen Wu Hao Xu Yongping Chen 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,11:3
12Gasification kinetic modelling of Victorian brown coal chars and validity for entrained flow gasification in CO_(2)显示文摘The gasification kinetic modelling of two Victorian brown coal(Yallourn and Maddingley)chars and the validity for entrained flow gasification were investigated in this study. The study was conducted in a thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA)at 750–1100℃,30%–90%CO_(2)concentration using different char particle sizes within 20–106 mm.It was found that random pore model and modified volumetric model are applicable for TGA results, but volumetric model and grain model are not.The effect of particle size under106 mm on gasification rate is very limited.Activation energies of Maddingley char and Yallourn char in CO_(2)gasification are 219–220 and 197–208 k J/mol,respectively.The pre-exponential factors are in the same order of magnitude, and they increased as particle size decreased.A mathematical model was developed to predict carbon conversion over time for entrained flow gasification of Victorian brown coal chars at 1000–1400℃.Tao Xu Yongping Wu Sankar Bhattacharya 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,3:2

14Surface-deformation monitoring in the permafrost regions over the Tibetan Plateau, using Sentinel-1 data显示文摘Differential Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(D-In SAR) has been widely used to measure surface deformation over the Tibetan Plateau. However, the accuracy and applicability of the D-In SAR method are not well estimated due to the lack of in-situ validation. In this paper, we mapped the seasonal and long-term displacement of Tanggula(TGL) and Liangdaohe(LDH) permafrost regions with a stack of Sentinel-1 acquisitions using the Small Baseline Subset In SAR(SBAS-In SAR) method. In the TGL region, with its dry soils and sparse vegetation, the In SAR-derived surface-deformation trend was consistent with ground-based leveling results; long-term changes of the active layer showed a settlement rate of around 1 to 3 mm/a due to the melting of ground ice, indicating a degrading permafrost in this area. Around half of the deformation was picked up on monitoring, in contrast with in-situ measurements in LDH, implying that the D-In SAR method remarkably underestimated the surface-deformation. This phenomenon may be induced by the large soil-water content, high vegetation coverage, or a combination of these two factors in this region. This study demonstrates that surface deformation could be mapped accurately for a specific region with Sentinel-1 C-band data, such as in the TGL region. Moreover, although the D-In SAR technology provides an efficient solution for broad surface-deformation monitoring in permafrost regions, it shows a poor performance in the region with high soil-water content and dense vegetation coverage.ZhenMing Wu Lin Zhao Lin Liu Rui Zhu ZeShen Gao YongPing Qiao LiMing Tian HuaYun Zhou MeiZhen Xie 2018Research in Cold and Arid Regions2018,10,2:2
