1Zircon SHRIMP U-Pb geochronology of the Neoproterozoic Chengjiang Formation in central Yunnan Province(SW China) and its geological significance显示文摘The Chengjiang Formation is the earliest continental clastic deposit after the Jinning Orogeny in central Yunnan Province,and therefore its accurate depositional age is significant for understanding the formation and evolution of the Neoproterozoic rift basins in southern China.However,hampered by accuracy of the dating technique,the existing age data for the Chengjiang Formation are not very reliable.A large number of magmatic zircons were obtained from the tuff interbed in the lower part of the Chengjiang Formation in Jinyang area and the bottom part of the Chengjiang Formation in Dongchuan area,central Yunnan Province,and high-precision SHRIMP U-Pb dating was carried out on these zircons.The results show that the weighted mean 206 Pb/238 U ages are 797.8±8.2 and 803.1±8.7 Ma respectively.In combination with related geological evidence,it has been demonstrated that the bottom boundary age of the Chengjiang Formation should be 800±5 Ma,whereas the top boundary age could be ca 725 Ma.By synthetically analyzing the latest age data for the relevant strata,it has been confirmed that the Chengjiang Formation should be correlated with the Suxiong Formation and the Kaijianqiao Formation in western Sichuan Province,the Liantuo Formation in the middle and lower Yangtze,the Hongchicun Formation and the Shangshu Formation in northern Zhejiang Province,the Puling Formation in southern Anhui Province,the Luokedong Formation and the Majianqiao Formation in northwestern Jiangxi Province,the Wuqiangxi Formation in northwestern Hunan Province,the Fanzhao Formation and the Qingshuijiang Formation in southeastern Guizhou Province,and the Sanmenjie Formation and the Gongdong Formation in northern Guangxi Province.Sedimentary cycle analysis shows that the sedimentary filling sequence of the Neoproterozoic rift basins in southern China can be divided into four cycles.Among them,Cycle II began at ca.800 Ma,accompanied by intensive tectonic-thermal events.The zircon U-Pb ages from the bottom of the Chengjiang Formation reported in this paper indicate that the Neoproterozoic Kangdian rift subbasin probably started to develop at ca.800 Ma and therefore missed Cycle I of the Neoproterozoic sedimentary filling sequence in southern China.JIANG XinSheng WANG Jian CUI XiaoZhuang ZHUO JieWen XIONG GuoQing LU JunZe LIU JianHui 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,11:25
2Three-dimensional Finite Element Analysis of the Mechanical Properties of Helical Thread Connection显示文摘Conventional analytical and numerical methods for the mechanical properties of helical threads are relied on many assumptions and approximations and thus hardly yield satisfied results. A parameterized 3D finite element model of bolted joints with real helical thread geometry is established and meshed with refined hexahedral elements. The Von Mises plasticity criterion, kinematic hardening rule of materials and interfacial contacts are employed to make it possible for the suggested model be able to approach real assembly conditions. Then, the mechanical properties of bolted joints with different thread pitches, thread numbers and modular ratios are investigated, including the contact pressure distribution at joint interfaces, the axial load distribution and stress concentration in screw threads during the loading and unloading process. Simulation results indicate that the load distribution in screw threads produced by the suggested model agrees well the results from CHEN's photoelastic tests. In addition, an interesting phenomenon is found that tightening the bolt with a large preload first and then adjusting the clamping force by unloading can make the load distribution more uniform and reduce the maximum residual equivalent stress in thread roots by up to 40%. 3Opening time and filling pattern of the Neoproterozoic Kangdian Rift Basin,western Yangtze Continent,South China显示文摘The Neoproterozoic Kangdian Rift Basin is a continental rift basin in the western Yangtze Continent.Determining its time of opening and subsequent filling pattern is an important aspect of understanding the formation and evolution of the Yangtze Continent,South China.The Luliang Formation is the early filling in the eastern part of this rift basin,and its deposition age and filling sequence are significant for studies of the regional stratigraphic correlation,opening time,and filling pattern of this basin.Having been correlated to the upper part of the Mesoproterozoic Kunyang Group or to the Neoproterozoic Chengjiang Formation,the age and regional stratigraphic correlation of the Luliang Formation have long been uncertain.This is due to a lack of reliable absolute age constraints.To address this issue,the first zircon SHRIMP U-Pb geochronology has been established for this formation,yielding two high-precision isotopic ages of 818.6±9.2 and 805±14 Ma for the tuff layers at the bottoms of the lower and upper members of the Luliang Formation,respectively.Given the error factor,the bottom age of the lower member of the Luliang Formation can be interpreted as ca.820 Ma,corresponding to the bottom age of the lower part of the Banxi Group,which is the early filling of the Neoproterozoic Xianggui Rift Basin,a representative basin of the Neoproterozoic rift basins in the Yangtze Continent,South China.The bottom age of the upper member of the Luliang Formation can be interpreted as ca.800±5 Ma,corresponding to the bottom age of the Chengjiang Formation in the western part of the Neoproterozoic Kangdian Rift Basin and also corresponding to the bottom age of the upper part of the Banxi Group in the Neoproterozoic Xianggui Rift Basin.These ages indicate that the Neoproterozoic Kangdian Rift Basin shares the same opening time and filling sequences as those of the other Neoproterozoic rift basins in South China.Basin analysis shows that the Neoproterozoic Kangdian Rift Basin is a typical half-graben basin,with its main boundary fault in the west and basin center in the east.This basin consisted of mini unidirectional half-graben basins in its juvenile stage and simplified to become a large united half-graben basin in its mature stage,i.e.,a supradetachment basin.ZHUO JieWen JIANG XinSheng WANG Jian CUI XiaoZhuang XIONG GuoQing LU JunZe LIU JianHui MA MingZhu 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,10:12
4Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 5The High Energy X-ray telescope (HE) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(Insight-HXMT) is a broadband X-ray and γ-ray(1-3000 ke V) astronomy satellite. One of its three main telescopes is the High Energy X-ray telescope(HE). The main detector plane of HE comprises 18 Na I(Tl)/Cs I(Na) phoswich detectors, where Na I(Tl) is used as the primary detector to measure ~ 20-250 ke V photons incident from the field of view(FOV) defined by collimators, and Cs I(Na) is used as the active shielding detector to Na I(Tl) by pulse shape discrimination. Additionally, Cs I(Na) is used as an omnidirectional γ-ray monitor. The HE collimators have a diverse FOV,i.e. 1.1°×5.7°(15 units), 5.7°×5.7°(2 units), and blocked(1 unit). Therefore, the combined FOV of HE is approximately5.7°×5.7°. Each HE detector has a diameter of 190 mm resulting in a total geometrical area of approximately 5100 cm2, and the energy resolution is ~15% at 60 ke V. For each recorded X-ray event by HE, the timing accuracy is less than 10 μs and the deadtime is less than 10 μs. HE is used for observing spectra and temporal variability of X-ray sources in the 20-250 ke V band either by pointing observations for known sources or scanning observations to unveil new sources. Additionally, HE is used for monitoring the γ-ray burst in 0.2-3 Me V band. 6Laboratory Evaluation for Utilization of Phosphogypsum through Carbide Slag Highly-Effective Activating Anhydrous Phosphogypsum显示文摘Carbide slag was used as an activator to improve the activity of anhydrous phosphogypsum.Carbide slag could greatly improve the mechanical strength of anhydrous phosphogypsum than K_(2)SO_(4).The compressive strength of 11 wt%carbide slag and 1 wt%K_(2)SO_(4)activated anhydrous phosphogypsum increased greatly to 8.6 MPa at 3 d,and 11.9 MPa at 7 d,and 16.0 MPa at 28 d,respectively.The rate of hydration heat was accelerated and the total hydration heat was increased,and more calcium sulfate dihydrate was formed and cross-linked with other parts which improved the compressive strength of anhydrous phosphogypsum under the effects of different activators.It was indicated that carbide slag was a highly effective and cost-efficient activator.The result provides a highly effective and low-cost method which results in a novel and high value-added method for the utilization of phosphogypsum in the future.陈顺 XIONG Guoqing 苏英 HE Xingyang XIE Yunxuan WANG Yunfeng GONG Minhua 2021Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2021,36,3:4
7Magnetic properties of perpendicularly orientated L1_0 FePt nanoparticles显示文摘L10 FePt films were deposited on MgO (001) substrates heated to 700°C by magnetron sputtering.Assisted by the misfit of lattice between film and substrate,strong (001) texture was formed.The film at nominal thickness t N=5 nm was composed of nanoparticles with a size of~70 nm,and showed a high coercivity of~105 kOe at 4.2 K.At t N=~50 nm,as the film changed from discontinuous to continuous,the coercivity dropped about one order of magnitude.Micromagnetic simulation implies that the magnetization reversal is a vortex-like nuclear type.The ideal coercivity of a separated single-domain L10 FePt nanoparticle with a size of 70 nm×70 nm×5 nm is~121 kOe.This tells us that the experimental coercivity has nearly reached the limit of ideal single crystalline nanoparticles.MO XiaoJing XIANG Hui LI GuoQing CHEN Peng XIONG ZuHong WANG JunZhong ISHIO ShunJi SMTO Hitoshi SHIMA ToshiYuki TAKANASHI KoKi 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,8:3

9A Versatile Surface Bioengineering Strategy Based on Mussel-Inspired and Bioclickable Peptide Mimic显示文摘In this work,we present a versatile surface engineering strategy by the combination of mussel adhesive peptide mimicking and bioorthogonal click chemistry.The main idea reflected in this work derived from a novel mussel-inspired peptide mimic with a bioclickable azide group(i.e.,DOPA_(4)-azide).Similar to the adhesion mechanism of the mussel foot protein(i.e.,covalent/noncovalent comediated surface adhesion),the bioinspired and bioclickable peptide mimic DOPA_(4)-azide enables stable binding on a broad range of materials,such as metallic,inorganic,and organic polymer substrates.In addition to the material universality,the azide residues of DOPA_(4)-azide are also capable of a specific conjugation of dibenzylcyclooctyne-(DBCO-)modified bioactive ligands through bioorthogonal click reaction in a second step.To demonstrate the applicability of this strategy for diversified biofunctionalization,we bioorthogonally conjugated several typical bioactive molecules with DBCO functionalization on different substrates to fabricate functional surfaces which fulfil essential requirements of biomedically used implants.For instance,antibiofouling,antibacterial,and antithrombogenic properties could be easily applied to the relevant biomaterial surfaces,by grafting antifouling polymer,antibacterial peptide,and NO-generating catalyst,respectively.Overall,the novel surface bioengineering strategy has shown broad applicability for both the types of substrate materials and the expected biofunctionalities.Conceivably,the“clean”molecular modification of bioorthogonal chemistry and the universality of mussel-inspired surface adhesion may synergically provide a versatile surface bioengineering strategy for a wide range of biomedical materials.Yu Xiao Wenxuan Wang Xiaohua Tian Xing Tan Tong Yang Peng Gao Kaiqing Xiong Qiufen Tu Miao Wang Manfred FMaitz Nan Huang Guoqing Pan Zhilu Yang 2020Research2020,,1:3

11Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 13CLASSIFICATION OF MULTI-LOOK POLARIMETRIC SAR IMAGERY AND POLARIZATION CHANNEL OPTIMIZATION显示文摘In this paper, a new maximum likelihood (ML) classification algorithm is proposed to classify the multi-look polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery. Experimental results with the NASA/JPL airborne L-band polarimetric SAR data demonstrate the effectiveness of the new algorithm. 15STUDY ON SPECKLE REDUCTION IN MULTI-LOOK POLARIMETRIC SAR IMAGE显示文摘This paper studies the speckle reduction in multi-look polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image. A multi-look polarimetric whitening filtering (MPWF) method is presented and extended to form a fully polarimetric filter with multi-channel output. The paper also quantifies the speckle reduction amount achievable by the MPWF, and compares the MPWF with the span, weighting and power equalization methods. Herein, heterostructured NiS_(2)@SnS_(2) hybrid spheres were delicately designed and constructed by anchoring interconnected SnS_(2) nanosheets on metalorganic frameworks(MOFs)-derived Ni S_(2) hollow spheres coupled with N-doped carbon skeleton through facile solvothermal and sulfurization/carbonization processes. The unique hollow heterostructure with highly conductive carbon matrix can effectively facilitate the charge transfer kinetics and ensure the desired buffer space while endowing more active sites and enhanced structural integrity, as demonstrated by the experimental and density functional theory(DFT) results. Benefitting from these merits, the NiS_(2)@SnS_(2) hybrid composite displays a high reversible capacity of 820 m Ah g^(-1) after 250 cycles at 1 A g^(-1), and retains a value of 673 m Ah g^(-1)after 1,300 cycles at 5 A g^(-1), manifesting the excellent high-rate and durable sodium storage behaviors when applied in SIBs. 18Establishment of a model of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae infection using Bama miniature pigs显示文摘Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae(M.hyopneumoniae),is the primary aetiological agent of enzootic pneumonia leading to chronic respiratory disease prevalent worldwide.Conventional pigs are the only animals used for pathogenicity studies and vaccine evaluations of M.hyopneumoniae.Considering that the challenge animals have better genetic stability and a smaller body size to operate with,an alternative experimental animal model of M.hyopneumoniae infection with Bama miniature pigs was established.Nine seven-week-old snatch-farrowed,porcine colostrum-deprived(SF-pCD)Bama miniature pigs and nine conventional pigs were randomly divided into two infected groups(Bama miniatureinfected(BI)and conventional-infected groups(CI),BI and CI,n=6)and two control groups(Bama miniature control(BC)and conventional control(CC)groups,BC and CC,n=3).Every piglet was tracheally inoculated with 5×10^(8) CCU/mL containing 10%suspension of a stock of frozen lung homogenate from SF-pCD pigs infected with virulent strain JS or sterilized KM2 medium.Typical lung lesions appeared in all infected pigs after necropsy,and the mean gross lung lesions was 17.3 and 13.7 in groups of BI and CI.Serum IgG and nasal sIgA antibody titres were increased significantly.Cilia shedding and mucus staining increased greatly in JS-infected bronchi.Obvious reddish gross lesions and M.hyopneumoniae antigen were detected,especially apparently observed in group of BI.Moreover,DNA copies of M.hyopneumoniae from bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)of each JS-infected piglet reached more than 10^(8),and M.hyopneumoniae could be re-isolated from each infected BALF.These results indicate that Bama miniature pigs could be used as an alternative and more maneuverable experimental infection model for M.hyopneumoniae and display typical clinical and pathological features consistent with those in conventional pigs.Yuan Gan Xing Xie Lei Zhang Qiyan Xiong Guoqing Shao Zhixin Feng 2020Food Production, Processing and Nutrition2020,2,1:0
19Standardization of a Real-time PCR System for Quantitative Detection of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae显示文摘This study was conducted to develop a method for accurate quantification of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae during vaccine production or experimental research. Primer and probe concentration that gave the highest ΔRn and the lowest Ct were selected to establish the real-time PCR system for the detection of M. hyopneumoniae. Template DNA of M. hyopneumoniae was extracted by boiling under different conditions and detected by real-time PCR to determine the optimal conditions for DNA extraction. Thereafter, intra-and inter-batch reproducibility tests were carried out using a standard plasmid to evaluate the stability of the PCR system. Subsequently, the effect of medium composition on the quantitative detection was evaluated. Finally, the correlation between real-time PCR and CCU method was explored. The optimal primer and probe concentration for real-time PCR were 0.4 and 0.2 μmol/L, respectively. The intra-and inter-batch coefficients of variation(CV) in Ct value of 10~4-10~9 copies/μl standard plasmid were <5%, indicating good reproducibility of the real-time PCR system. Following incubation in a boiling water bath for 10 min, M. hyopneumoniae samples can be used directly as a template in subsequent real-time PCR assays,and good intra-batch and inter-batch reproducibility was observed. The working concentration of KM2 medium should be less than the 1/10 of the concentration of the stock solution to minimize its influence on the quantitative detection. Spearman's correlation analysis revealed that the log of CCU and the log of DNA copy number had a significant positive relationship(r=0.797,P=0.000). Thus, the two methods can be used in combination in the quantitative detection of M. hyopneumoniae.
