1A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 5Investigation of High Catalyteal Durability for Porous Pt Films Deposited via Magnetron Sputtering显示文摘Porous Pt thin films were prepared on carbon papers by a single-step ultra-high dc magnetron sputtering method to obtain ideal electrodes for proton exchange membrane fuel cells.The platinum loading of the electrocatalyst layer is controlled at about 0.1 mg·cm^(-2).Structural characteristics and catalytic activities of the films were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy,atomic force microscopy,X-ray diffraction,cyclic voltammetry,and stress durability testing methods.The effect of treatment conditions of a substrate on the structural and performance characteristics of the catalytic films was shown as well.Films produced on acid-treated carbon papers at the argon pressure of 0.01 mbar possessed a homogeneous,highly developed surface along with a porous structure.Compared to Pt/TCPW(Toray carbon papers soaked in ultrapure water)electrodes,the film obtained on the acid-treated substrate had a larger electrochemical surface area(163.33 m^(2)·g^(-1))and exhibited better catalytic stability and durability due to a porous structure as a result of Pt particle accumulation.刘广权 PENG Liping FAN Long WANG Jin FU Yajun XIONG Zhengwei REN Xuetan 曹林洪 吴卫东 2022Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2022,37,2:1
6Simulation and Projection of Near-Surface Wind Speeds in China by BCC-CSM Models显示文摘We evaluated the ability of the Beijing Climate Center models on different horizontal resolutions(BCC-CSM1.1 on approximately 280-km resolution and BCC-CSM1.1 m on approximately 110-km resolution) in simulating the nearsurface wind speeds(NWS) in China during 1961–2005. The spatial distribution of the annual mean NWS over China is better captured by BCC-CSM1.1 m than by BCC-CSM1.1 due to the finer resolution. The weakened NWS over China during 1961–2005 cannot be reproduced by BCC-CSM1.1, whereas BCC-CSM1.1 m is able to simulate the decreasing trend of the autumn NWS in North China, although the magnitude is about 1/3 of the observed value.This is attributed to the better performance of this finer-resolution model in reproducing the increase in sea level pressure over Mongolia and North China over the past 45 years. The results suggest that increasing the horizontal resolution of the BCC-CSM model has improved its ability in reproducing the spatial distribution and long-term changes of NWS over China. Future projections by BCC-CSM1.1 m under different Representative Concentration Pathway(RCP) scenarios demonstrate that the autumn NWS in North China will decrease during the 21 st century under both the middle(RCP4.5) and high(RCP8.5) emission scenarios, with a higher decreasing rate under RCP8.5.Yajun XIONG Xiaoge XIN Xingxia KOU 2019Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,1:1

8Influence of circulation types on temporal and spatial variations of ozone in Beijing显示文摘This study analyzes the impact of circulation types(CTs)on ozone(O_(3))pollution in Beijing.The easterly high-pressure(SWW)circulation occurred most frequently(30%;276 day),followed by northwesterly high-pressure(AN)circulation(24.3%;224 day).The SWW type had the highest O_(3) anomaly of+17.28μg/m^(3),which was caused by excellent photochemical reactions,poor diffusion ability and regional transport.Due to the higher humidity and precipitation in the low-pressure type(C),the O_(3) increase(+8.02μg/m^(3))was less than that in the SWW type.Good diffusion/wet deposition and weak formation ability contributed to O_(3) decrease in AN(-12.54μg/m^(3))and northerly high-pressure(ESN)CTs(-12.26μg/m^(3)).The intra-area transport of O_(3) was significant in polluted circulations(SWW-and C-CTs).In addition,higher temperature,radiation and less rainfall also contributed to higher O_(3) in northern Beijing under the SWW type.For the clean CTs(AN and ESN CTs),precursor amount and intra-area transport played a dominant role in O_(3) distribution.Under the northeasterly low-pressure CT,better formation conditions and higher precursor amount combined with the intra-area southerly transport to cause higher O_(3) values in the south than in the north.The higher O_(3) in the northwestern area under the northeasterly high-pressure type was influenced by weaker titration loss and high O_(3) concentration in previous day.Annual variation in the CTs contributed up to 86.1%of the annual variation in O_(3).About 78%-83%of the diurnal variation in O_(3) resulted from local meteorological factors.Xiaowan Zhu JinWu Guiqian Tang Lin Qiao Tingting Han Xiaomei Yin Xiangxue Liu Ziming Li Yajun Xiong Di He Zhiqiang Ma 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,8:1

10Integration of LNG Regasification Process in Natural Gas-Fired Power System with Oxy-Fuel Combustion显示文摘Oxy-fuel combustion power systems can utilize the cold energy released during the liquefied natural gas(LNG)regasification to reduce the power consumption of CO_(2) capture,but the specific LNG cold energy consumption of CO_(2) capture is still too large.To recover more CO_(2) with the limited LNG cold energy at a low energy cost,a novel natural gas-fired oxy-fuel power system with the cascade utilization of LNG cold energy is proposed in this work,where the LNG cold energy could be sequentially utilized in the air separation unit and the CO_(2) recovery process.The new system is evaluated with the Aspen Plus software.The results show that the net electrical efficiency and the specific primary energy consumption for CO_(2) avoided(SPECCA)of the new system are comparable to those of the chemical looping combustion cycle,and superior to those of the conventional O_(2)/CO_(2) cycles.Moreover,the specific LNG needed for CO_(2) avoided(SLNCC)of the new system is more than 67.2%lower than the existing oxy-fuel power systems utilizing the LNG cold energy.Furthermore,it is found that the O_(2) purity of 97.0 mol.%and the CO_(2) capture ratio of 97.0%are optimal conditions,because the SPECCA,the specific exergy consumption for CO_(2) avoided(SECCA)and the SLNCC are at the minimum of 1.87 GJLHV⋅t_(CO_(2))^(−1),2.60GJ⋅t_(CO_(2))^(−1) and 1.88tLNG⋅t_(CO_(2))^(−1),respectively.Meanwhile,the net electrical efficiency and the exergy efficiency of the new system reach 51.51%and 49.23%,respectively.LIU Rong XIONG Yongqiang KE Liying LIANG Jiacheng CHEN Dengjie ZHAO Zhongxing LI Yajun 2022Journal of Thermal Science2022,31,5:0
11Expression and localization of vitellogenin genes(VTG)and receptor(VGR)in the gonad development of silver pomfret Pampus argenteus显示文摘Vitellogenesis is the main event of oocyte growth in oviparous animals,which is mainly manifested by the accumulation of vitellogenin(VTG).The accumulation of vitellogenin depends mainly on the absorption of exogenous vitellogenin,which enters oocyte through endocytosis mediated by its receptor(VGR).We investigated the expression and localization of VTG and VGR during gonad development of Pampus argenteus.The qPCR results show that vtgs were not expressed in male fish,but in the ovary and liver of female fish;the expression levels went up at first and then down.The expression levels of vgr in the testis were low and only 1%-3%of that in ovary.ELISA results show that during the ovarian development of P.argenteus,VTG in liver,serum,and ovary all showed a trend from increasing to decreasing.However,VTG in liver peaked in StageⅣ,and in serum and ovary peaked in Stage V,reflecting changes in the characteristics of VTG in the liver(synthesis),blood(transport),and ovaries(accumulation).During gonad development,VGR in the ovaries first increased and then decreased,reaching a peak in Stage V,in contrast to vgr mRNA expression.The VGR content in the testis was extremely low and stable,consistent with vgr mRNA.Immunohistochemistry results show that the location and intensity of VTG and VGR positive signals were synchronized with the changes of their protein content,which revealed that VTG was mainly synthesized in the liver cytoplasm,secreted into the blood,and transported to ovary in StageⅢ.VGR is highly expressed in oocytes in StageⅡ.In StageⅢ,a large amount of VTG reaches the ovary,when VGR begins to translate and is subsequently transported to the plasma membrane of the oocyte.Therefore,the positive signal of VGR was stronger near the plasma membrane of oocytes in StagesⅠandⅡ.By using qPCR,ELISA,and immunohistochemistry,the synthesis,transport,and accumulation of vitellogenin were elucidated and the mechanism of its endocytosis on egg membrane mediated by VTG during the development of P.argenteus was revealed preliminarily.Zitao XIONG Jiazhe YANG Shun ZHANG Yajun WANG Shanliang XU Chunyang GUO Danli WANG 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,4:0

13Genetic dissection of and genomic selection for seed weight, pod length,and pod width in soybean显示文摘A biparental soybean population of 364 recombinant inbred lines(RILs)derived from Zhongdou 41×ZYD02.878 was used to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL)associated with hundred-seed weight(100-SW),pod length(PL),and pod width(PW).100-SW,PL,and PW showed moderate correlations among one another,and 100-SW was correlated most strongly with PW(0.64–0.74).Respectively 74,70,75 and19 QTL accounting for 38.7%–78.8%of total phenotypic variance were identified by inclusive composite interval mapping,restricted two-stage multi-locus genome-wide association analysis,3 variancecomponent multi-locus random-SNP-effect mixed linear model analysis,and conditional genome-wide association analysis.Of these QTL,189 were novel,and 24 were detected by multiple methods.Six loci were associated with 100-SW,PL,and PW and may be pleiotropic loci.A total of 284 candidate genes were identified in colocalizing QTL regions,including the verified gene Seed thickness 1(ST1).Eleven genes with functions involved in pectin biosynthesis,phytohormone,ubiquitin-protein,and photosynthesis pathways were prioritized by examining single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)variation,calculating genetic differentiation index,and inquiring gene expression.The prediction accuracies of genomic selection(GS)for 100-SW,PL,and PW based on single trait-associated markers reached 0.82,0.76,and 0.86 respectively,but selection index(SI)-assisted GS strategy did not increase GS efficiency and inclusion of trait-associated markers as fixed effects reduced prediction accuracy.These results shed light on the genetic basis of 100-SW,PL,and PW and provide GS models for these traits with potential application in breeding programs.Yijie Chen Yajun Xiong Huilong Hong Gang Li Jie Gao Qingyuan Guo Rujian Sun Honglei Ren Fan Zhang Jun Wang Jian Song Lijuan Qiu 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,3:0

15The Mechanism Behind Urban Population Growth and Shrinkage from the Perspective of Urban Network Externalities显示文摘Urban shrinkage is a global phenomenon,and it will coexist with urban growth for many years.At the same time,the network connection between cities continuously improved due to the construction of the transportation and information networks.However,the relationship between urban network externalities and urban population growth/shrinkage remains unclear.Therefore,based on high-speed railway(HSR)flow data,a spatial econometric model is used to explore the mechanism behind urban population growth and shrinkage from the perspective of network externalities in China.The results indicate that:1)the urban network experiences a certain clubbing effect.Growing cities that are strongly connected are concentrated along China’s main railway lines and the southeastern coastal areas,while shrinking cities that are weakly connected are distributed at the periphery of the network.2)Moreover,the network externality disregards spatial distance and together with the agglomeration externality influences the growth and shrinking of cities.3)Urban economic development still promotes the development of Chinese cities.However,the improvement of the urban economy has a negative cross-regional spillover effect on neighboring cities due to urban competition.4)Lastly,Local spillovers of urban network externalities are positive,while cross-regional ones are negative.Consequently,the government needs to promote the construction of multi-dimensional network connections between cities to promote cities’sustainable development.This study reveals the relationship between urban network externalities and urban development,enriches the theories of network externalities and urban growth/shrinkage,and provides a reference for regional coordinated development.ZHOU Ying ZHENG Wensheng WANG Xiaofang XIONG Yajun WANG Xuzheng 2023Chinese Geographical Science2023,33,2:0
16Mechanical characterization of soft silicone gels via spherical nanoindentation for applications in mechanobiology显示文摘As a biocompatible material,soft silicone gels like CY52-276 have been applied to many engineering fields associated with interactions between mammalian cells and extracellular matrices/substrates,due to its nontoxicity,ease of preparation,optical transparency and tunable mechanical properties.Precise quantification of mechanical properties of silicone gels is crucial for quantitatively investigating mechanical responses of cells to microenvironments.Addressing the material with high surface energy,we design a new strategy for the nanoindentation technique to reduce or even eliminate the effect of interfacial adhesions with the aid of some specified buffers.Next,we dissect the dependence of its Young’s modulus on the ratios of monomers and crosslinkers and curing conditions,and therefore identify a dose-response relationship between its moduli and the corresponding prepolymer compositions.With the non-linear large deformation nanoindentation tests,we further showed that the two-parameter Mooney-Rivlin model may well characterize the hyperelastic deformations of the materials with different composition ratios.These pave the way for more precise exploration of the interaction between cells and extracellular matrix and the underlying mechanotransduction pathways in mechanobiology.Yajun Zhang Xiaoning Yang Chunyang Xiong 2021Acta Mechanica Sinica2021,37,4:0
17SPP-extractor:Automatic phenotype extraction for densely grown soybean plants显示文摘Automatic collecting of phenotypic information from plants has become a trend in breeding and smart agriculture.Targeting mature soybean plants at the harvesting stage,which are dense and overlapping,we have proposed the SPP-extractor(soybean plant phenotype extractor)algorithm to acquire phenotypic traits.First,to address the mutual occultation of pods,we augmented the standard YOLOv5s model for target detection with an additional attention mechanism.The resulting model could accurately identify pods and stems and could count the entire pod set of a plant in a single scan.Second,considering that mature branches are usually bent and covered with pods,we designed a branch recognition and measurement module combining image processing,target detection,semantic segmentation,and heuristic search.Experimental results on real plants showed that SPP-extractor achieved respective R^(2) scores of 0.93–0.99 for four phenotypic traits,based on regression on manual measurements.Wan Zhou Yijie Chen Weihao Li Cong Zhang Yajun Xiong Wei Zhan Lan Huang Jun Wang Lijuan Qiu 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,5:0
