| 2 | Comprehensive analysis of NAC transcription factors and their expression during fruit spine development in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)显示文摘The cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)is an important vegetable crop worldwide,and fruit trichomes or spines are an important trait for external fruit quality.The mechanisms underlying spine formation are not well understood,but the plant-specific NAC family of transcription factors may play important roles in fruit spine initiation and development.In this study,we conducted a genome-wide survey and identified 91 NAC gene homologs in the cucumber genome.Clustering analysis classified these genes into six subfamilies;each contained a varying number of NAC family members with a similar intron–exon structure and conserved motifs.Quantitative real-time PCR analysis revealed tissue-specific expression patterns of these genes,including 10 and 12 that exhibited preferential expression in the stem and fruit,respectively.Thirteen of the 91 NAC genes showed higher expression in the wild-type plant than in its near-isogenic trichome mutant,suggesting their important roles in fruit spine development.Exogenous application of four plant hormones promoted spine formation and increased spine density on the cucumber fruits;several NAC genes showed differential expression over time in response to phytohormone treatments on cucumber fruit,implying their essential roles in fruit-trichome development.Among the NAC genes identified,12 were found to be targets of 13 known cucumber micro-RNAs.Collectively,these findings provide a useful resource for further analysis of the interactions between NAC genes and genes underlying trichome organogenesis and development during fruit spine development in cucumber. | Xingwang Liu Ting wang Ezra Bartholomew Kezia Black Mingming Dong Yaqi Zhang Sen Yang Yanling Cai Shudan Xue Yiqun Weng Huazhong Ren | 2018 | Horticulture Research2018,5,1: | 10 |
| 3 | Synergistic extraction of heavy rare earths by mixture of α-aminophosphonic acid HEHAMP and HEHEHP显示文摘Synergistic extraction of heavy rare earths(REs) were investigated in chloride media by the mixture of(2-ethylhexylamino)methyl phosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester(HEHAMP) and 2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester(HEHEHP). The maximum synergistic enhancement coefficients(R) of Lu, Yb, Tm, Er, Y and Ho are 2.89, 2.76, 2.54, 2.14, 2.14 and 2.06, respectively, when the mole fraction X_(HEHAMP) is 0.5. The synergistic separation factors of the heavy REs are obtained(β_(Y/Ho)=1.31,β_(Er/Y)= 1.61,β_(Tm/Er)= 1.78, β_(Yb/Tm)= 1.76, β_(Lu/Yb) = 1.20). The extracted complex is determined to be RE[H(EHAMP)_2][H(EHEHP)_2]_2 by the slope analysis method. | 10 | Impacts of meteorology and emission variations on the heavy air pollution episode in North China around the 2020 Spring Festival显示文摘Based on the Weather Research and Forecasting model and the Models-3 community multi-scale air quality model(WRF-CMAQ),this study analyzes the impacts of meteorological conditions and changes in air pollutant emissions on the heavy air pollution episode occurred over North China around the 2020 Spring Festival(January to Februray 2020).Regional reductions in air pollutant emissions required to eliminate the PM2.5 heavy pollution episode are also quantified.Our results found that meteorological conditions for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding'2+26'cities are the worst during the heavy pollution episode around the 2020 Spring Festival as compared with two other typical heavy pollution episodes that occurred after 2015.However,because of the substantial reductions in air pollutant emissions in the'2+26'cities in recent years,and the32%extra reduction in emissions during January to February 2020 compared with the baseline emission levels of the autumn and winter of 2019 to 2020,the maximum PM2.5 level during this heavy pollution episode around the 2020 Spring Festival was much lower than that in the other two typical episodes.Yet,these emission reductions are still not enough to eliminate regional heavy pollution episodes.Compared with the actual emission levels during January to February 2020,a 20%extra reduction in air pollutant emissions in the'2+26'cities(or a 45%extra reduction compared with baseline emission levels of the autumn and winter of 2019 to 2020)could help to generally eliminate regionwide severe pollution episodes,and avoid heavy pollution episodes that last three or more consecutive days in Beijing;a 40%extra reduction in emissions(or a 60%extra reduction compared with baseline emission levels of the autumn and winter of 2019 to 2020)could help to generally eliminate regionwide and continuous heavy pollution episodes.Our analysis finds that during the clean period after the heavy pollution episode around the 2020 Spring Festival,the regionwide heavy pollution episode would only occur with at least a 10-fold increase in air pollutant emissions. | Wenbo XUE Xurong SHI Gang YAN Jinnan WANG Yanling XU Qian TANG Yanli WANG Yixuan ZHENG Yu LEI | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,2: | 1 |
| 11 | Microstructure and Properties of SemisolidA356 Alloy Strip Affected by Nozzle Temperature of a Novel Micro Fused-Casting显示文摘The semisolid A356 alloy strip was prepared by a novel continuous micro fused-casting process. The microstructure evolution and mechanical property of A356 aluminum alloy strip with different nozzle temperatures were investigated. The nozzle temperature had great influences on the microstructure and property primarily accompanied with the crystal change in the fused-casting area through the cooling conditions. The results showed that the semisolid A356 alloy strip samples fabricated by micro fused-casting demonstrated good performances and uniform structures with the nozzle temperature at 593 ℃ and the stirring velocity at 700 r/min. | 16 | Responses of growth performance,antioxidant function,small intestinal morphology and mRNA expression of jejunal tight junction protein to dietary iron in yellow-feathered broilers显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the dose-effect of iron on growth performance,antioxidant function.intestinal morphology,and mRNA expression of jejunal tight junction protein in 1-to21-d-old yellow-feathered broilers.A total of 7201-d-old yellow-feathered maleb roilers were allocated to 9 treatments with 8 replicate cages of 10 birds per cage.The dietary treatments were consisted of a basal diet(contained 79.6 mg Fe kg^(-1))supplemented with 0,20,40,60,80,160,320,640,and 1,280 mg Fe kg^(-1)in the form of FeSO_(4)·7H_(2)O.Compared with the birds in the control group,birds supplemented with 20mg Fe kg^(-1)had higher average daily gain(ADG)(P<0.0001).Adding 640 and 1,280 mg Fe kg^(-1)significantly decreased ADG(P<0.0001)and average daily feed intake(ADFI)(P<0.0001)compared with supplementation of 20mg Fe kg^(-1).Malondialdehyde(MDA)concentration in plasma and duodenum increased linearly(P<0.0001),but MDA concentration in liver and jejunum increased linearly(P<0.05)or quadratically(P<0.05)with increased dietary Fe concentration.The villus height(VH)in duodenum and jejunum,and the ratio of villus height to crypt depth(V/C)in duodenum decreased linearly(P?0.05)as dietary Feincreased.As dietary Fe increased,the jejunal relative mRNA abundance of claudin-1 decreased linearly(P=0.001),but the jejunal relative mRNA abundance of zona occludens-1(ZO-1)and occludin decreased linearly(P?0.05)or quadratically(P?0.05).Compared with the supplementation of 20 mg Fe kg^(-1),the supplementation of640 mg Fe kg^(-1)or higher increased(P?0.05)MDA concentrations in plasma,duodenum,and jejunum,decreased VH in the duodenum and jejunum,and the addition of 1,280 mg Fe kg^(-1)reduced(P?0.05)the jejunal tight junction protein(claudin-1,ZO-1,occludin)mRNA abundance.In summary,640 mg of supplemental Fe kg^(-1)or greater was associated with decreased growth performance,increased oxidative stress,disrupted intestinal morphology,and reduced mRNA expression of jejunal tight junction protein. | Kaiwen Lei Hao Wu Jerry W Spears Xi Lin Xi Wang Xue Bai Yanling Huang | 2024 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,4: | 0 |
| 17 | A portable,economic drainage device to prevent pocket hematoma of pacemakers显示文摘Objective:To make up a portable,economic drainage device to prevent the development of pocket hematoma and avoid the additional therapies of pocket hematoma.Methods:Between 2003 and 2006,a total of 265 devices were implanted at our institution.The 89 high-risk patients were determined by the predictors of hematoma occurrence(marasmatic elder,inevitable oral antiplatelet/anticoagulation therapy,venous pressure increased by other comorbidity,the deficiency of the clotting mechanism for hepatic diseases,or incognizable severe intraoperative bleeding),and other 186 patients were included in non-high-risk group.The 89 high-risk patients were randomized into treatment and control subgroups by sortition.Surgical procedures differed only by the application of the portable,economic drainage device prior to wound closure in treatment subgroup.Results:The incidence of pocket hematoma was 4.3% in treatment subgroup,18.6% in control subgroup and 2.7% in non-high-risk group,leading to 2,6 and 3 patients' prolonged hospitalization,respectively.The additional cost due to pocket hematoma was lower(1.5 times) in the treatment group compared to the control group.There wasn't antidromic infection and delayed cure of the skin incision with the use of our drainage device within 6 months.Conclusion:Our portable drainage device was made up easily and quickly.It could decrease the total cost of hospitalization,did not increase the other adverse events and seemed to be suitable for such patients with a tendency to develop pocket hematoma undergoing the implantation of pectoral pacemakers,implantable cardioverter defibrillator,or cardiac resynchronization therapy. | Wang Haiyan Xue Yusheng Zheng Qiangsun Liu Yin Tang Yanling Wang Yi Zhang Luxing JiaZhixin Huang Jianbo | 2009 | Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA(China)2009,24,3: | 0 |
| 18 | Prokaryotic Expression and Preparation of Polyclonal Antibody of HtrA Protein from Escherichia coli Causing Pneumonia in Fox显示文摘To investigate the roles of HtrA protein in bacterial adaption to stresses, htra gene was cloned from an Escherichia coli strain isolated from silver fox, double digested, and ligated into the prokaryotic expression vector pET32a. Then, the recombinant plasmid pET32a-htra was transformed into E. coli BL21 competent cells. The over-expression of His-HtrA protein was induced by the addition of IPTG at a final concentration of 1 mmol/L, and verified by SDA-PAGE and Western blot. In addition, the protein was purified with Ni-NTA agarose, and used to immunize mice,and the polyclonal antibody specifically bound to E. coli HtrA protein.
