| 1 | Protective effect of periplaneta americana extract on intestinal mucosal barrier function in patients with sepsis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of the periplaneta americana extract on the intestinal mucosal barrier and prognostic implications in patients with sepsis. METHODS: Sixty and six patients with sepsis were assigned randomly to treatment group (32 cases) and control group (32 cases). The extractfrom periplaneta americana plus conventional medication for sepsis was administered to the treatment group, while the control group only received conventional treatment. The gastrointestinal function scores and acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHEⅡ) scores of all subjects were documented at baseline, at days 1, 3 and 7 after treatment respectively and their blood endotoxin was tested at the same time points as well.The incidence of death was recorded for both groups throughout the trial. RESULTS: At days 3 and 7 after treatment, gastroin-testinal function score, APACHE II, and endotoxin level in treatment group wasbetter than that in control group and the difference between them was significant (both P<0.05). Although the incidence of death in treatment group was less than that in control group, the difference between the two groups was not significant (P> 0.05). | 3 | Platelet-rich plasma gel in combination with Schwann cells for repair of sciatic nerve injury显示文摘Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells were isolated from New Zealand white rabbits, culture-expanded and differentiated into Schwann cell-like cells. Autologous platelet-rich plasma and Schwann cell-like cells were mixed in suspension at a density of 1 × 10 6 cells/mL, prior to introduction into a poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) conduit. Fabricated tissue-engineered nerves were implanted into rabbits to bridge 10 mm sciatic nerve defects (platelet-rich plasma group). Controls were established using fibrin as the seeding matrix for Schwann cell-like cells at identical density to construct tissue-engineered nerves (fibrin group). Twelve weeks after implantation, toluidine blue staining and scanning electron microscopy were used to demonstrate an increase in the number of regenerating nerve fibers and thickness of the myelin sheath in the platelet-rich plasma group compared with the fibrin group. Fluoro-gold retrograde labeling revealed that the number of Fluo-ro-gold-positive neurons in the dorsal root ganglion and the spinal cord anterior horn was greater in the platelet-rich plasma group than in the fibrin group. Electrophysiological examination confirmed that compound muscle action potential and nerve conduction velocity were superior in the plate-let-rich plasma group compared with the fibrin group. UAVs equipped with various sensors are now an important approach for acquiring spatial data. Many advantages, such as low cost, short revisiting cycle, flexibility and high precision, have made UAVs powerful tools in geological, agricultural, ecological and forestry growth monitoring, as well as evaluation. Now, UAVs are a hotspot in scientific research. Their application in mining areas (MA), although still in its infancy, is developing rapidly in terms of speed, scale and service scope. This research examines aspects such as UAV platforms, different sensors and their application fields, as well as reviewing the advances of scientific research in MA at the present time. By combining current research and the functions of multiple sensors, an application framework for UAV monitoring in MA is constructed. Finally, the challenge and prospects for the development of UAVs and sensors are also considered. | 8 | Thrombin is a therapeutic target for non-small-cell lung cancer to inhibit vasculogenic mimicry formation显示文摘Tumor cells transform into endothelial cells by epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition,which is characterized by vasculogenic mimicry(VM).VM not only accelerates tumor progression but also increases drug-induced resistance.However,very little is currently known about the molecular determinants that enable VM.Targeting VM might bring a new breakthrough in cancer treatment.Thrombin is the key enzyme of the blood coagulation system and could contribute to tumor progression.Nevertheless,the association between thrombin and VM formation remains largely unknown.We found that VM was associated with the overall survival of non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients,and that thrombin expression was closely related to VM formation.This research revealed that thrombin induced VM formation via PAR-1-mediated NF-κB signaling cascades.The novel thrombin inhibitors r-hirudin and DTIP inhibited VM formation and spontaneous metastases in subcutaneous tumors.Clinical pathological analysis confirmed that NSCLC patients with thrombin-positive/PAR-1-high expression had the poorest prognosis and were the most likely to form VM.The promotional activity of thrombin in VM formation and tumor metastasis was abolished in PAR-1-deficient NSCLC cells.The EGFR inhibitor gefitinib had no effect on VM and increased VEGF expression in tumors.The combination therapy of DTIP and gefitinib achieved a better therapeutic effect than either agent alone.This study is the first to illustrate that thrombin substantially contributes,together with PAR-1,to VM formation and to illustrate that VM might be a target of r-hirudin and DTIP to suppress tumor progression.The anticoagulants r-hirudin and DTIP could be employed for antitumor therapy.Combination therapy with DTIP with an EGFR inhibitor might achieve superior therapeutic effects. | Bing Zhao Mengfang Wu Zhihuang Hu Yixin Ma Wang Qi Yanling Zhang Yaran Li Min Yu Huijie Wang Wei Mo | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 2 |
| 9 | Effect of Pouring Temperature on Microstructure and Properties of A356 Alloy Strip by a Novel Semisolid Micro Fused-Casting for Metal显示文摘A novel semisolid micro fused-casting(MFC) for preparing A356 alloy strips is proposed, and the effects of process parameters of pouring temperature on the microstructure and properties of A356 alloy strips are investigated. MFC means that the semisolid metal slurry was pressed out from the outlet of bottom of crucible to the movable plate, and directly solidified and formed layer by layer. The microstructure and properties of A356 semisolid alloy slurry were influenced by the cooling conditions. Results show that the aluminu alloy A356 strip samples fabricated by micro fused-casting had good performances and uniform structures with the pouring temperature at 595 ℃ and the substrate movement speed at 18 mm/s. | 10 | Efficacy and safety of single-bolus tenecteplase compared with front-loaded alteplase in Chinese patients with acute myocardial infarction显示文摘Background and Objective Previous study showed tenecteplase and alteplaxe were equovalent for 30-day mortality in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction. The purpose of this open-label,randomized,multi-center,angiographic trial was to assess the efficacy and safety of tenecteplase compared with alteplase in Chinese patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods We recruited patients with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction presenting within 6 hours of symptom onset from October,2002 to March,2004,in 5 hospitals in Beijing. After giving informed consent,patients were randomly assigned a single-bolus injection of tenecteplase(30-50 mg according to body weight) or front loaded alteplase(100 mg) ,and underwent coronary angiography at 90 min after starting the study drug. All patients received aspirin and heparin(target activated partial thromboplastin time 50-70 s) . The primary efficacy end point was the rate of TIMI grade 3 flow at 90 minutes. Other efficacy end points included TIMI grade 2/3 flow at 90 minutes. Safety end points included all stroke,intracranial hemorrhage(ICH) ,moderate/severe hemorrhage(except for ICH) ,all-cause mortality at 30-days,and major non-fatal cardiac events at 30 days. Results Overall 110 patients were eligible for statistical analysis,with 58 patients assigned to receive tenecteplase and 52 patients to alteplase. Tenecteplase produced a rate of TIMI grade 3 flow at 90 minutes after the start of thrombolysis(68.4%) similar to that of alteplase(66.7%,P=1.0) ;the rates of TIMI grade 2 or 3 were similar for patients treated with tenecteplase versus alteplase(89.5% versus 80.4%,respectively,P=0.278) . At 30 days,rates for all strokes were similar for the two groups(5.17% for tenecteplase and 1.92% for alteplase,P=0.62) ;rates of ICH were 3.45% and 1.92%(tenecteplase and rt-PA,P=1.00) respectively. The rate of moderate/severe hemorrhage was 8.62% with tenecteplase and 5.77% with alteplase(P=0.72) ;total mortality was almost identical in the two groups(13.8% versus 9.6%,respectively,P=0.565) while the rates of non-fatal cardiac complications were 10.35% and 11.54%(tenecteplase and alteplase,P=1.0) . Conclusions The efficacy of a single-bolus,weight-adjusted tenecteplase fibrinolytic regimen is equivalent to front-loaded alteplase in terms of the rates of TIMI grade 3 flow,and TIMI 2 or 3 flow,but the 30-day mortality and ICH in both groups was so high that the use of tenecteplase is not permitted in China. | 11 | Effectiveness of herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture on polycystic ovary syndrome in patients with symptom pattern of kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture on polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)in patients with symptom pattern of kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness.METHODS:Totally 62 PCOS patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into intervention group and control group.In the intervention group,acupoints were subjected to(43±1)℃herb-partitioned moxibustion and electroacupuncture treatment.In the control group,acupoints were subjected to(37±1)℃herb-partitioned moxibustion and sham electroacupuncture treatment.Treatment was provided 3 times per week for 12 weeks,and the treatment was stopped during menstruation.After the treatment,the clinical efficacy,the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)symptom pattern score,basal body temperature(BBT)levels,menstrual cycle,and related sex hormone levels of the two groups were evaluated.RESULTS:Sixty patients were eventually included in the study(30 in the intervention group and 30 in the control group).There were not obvious between-group differences in the baseline efficacy parameters(all P>0.05).(a)After treatment,the two groups have improved in terms of clinical efficacy,TCM symptom pattern score,menstrual cycle and,BBT(P<0.01,<0.05),and the intervention group was better than the control group(P<0.01,<0.05).(b)In the intervention group,the estradiol(E2)and P450 aromatase(P450 arom)levels were increased(all P<0.05),the testosterone(T)level was decreased(P<0.05),and the luteotropic hormone(LH)and anti-Müllerian hormone(AMH)levels were significantly decreased(P<0.01).In the control group,E2 level was increased(P<0.05),and LH level was decreased(P<0.05).After treatment,the T,LH,and AMH levels of the intervention group were decreased compared with those of the control group(all P<0.05),and the P450 arom level was increased(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture can effectively improve the related clinical symptoms of PCOS patients with kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness.Herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture may inhibit the overexpression of AMH to increase the expression level of P450 arom in ovarian granulosa cells,thereby reconstructing the dependence of follicular development on FSH,and finally improving abnormal follicular development and hyperandrogenism in PCOS patients with kidney deficiency and phlegmdampness. | ZHAO Qingyi SUN Yi ZHOU Jing GAO Yanling MA Guizhi HU Zhihai WANG Yi SHI Yin | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,6: | 1 |

| 13 | Method for measuring the steering wheel angle of paddy field agricultural machinery by integrating RTK-GNSS and dual-MEMS gyroscope显示文摘Aiming at the application environment of paddy agricultural machinery with bumpy and undulating changes,the problems affecting the method for steering wheel angle measurement by MEMS gyroscope were analyzed,and a wheel angle measurement method combining Dual-MEMS gyroscope(dual MEMS gyroscope)and RTK-GNSS was designed.The adaptive weighting method was used to fuse the heading angle differentiation of RTK-GNSS,the MEMS gyroscope angle rate,and velocity data,and the rod-arm compensation was performed to accurately obtain the angle rates of the body and steering wheels of agricultural machinery;the difference between the combined angular rate of the steering wheel of the agricultural machinery and the angular rate of the agricultural machinery body was obtained,and the integrator is used to integrate the difference to get the wheel steering angle value,and the Kalman filter was designed to make feedback correction for the integration process of angle calculation to eliminate the errors caused by the gyroscope zero bias,random drift,and gyroscope rod arm effect,and to obtain the accurate value of wheel steering angle.A comparative test with the connecting rod wheel angle sensor was designed,and the results show that the maximum deviation is 4.99°,the average absolute average value is 1.61°,and the average standard deviation is 0.98°.The method in this study and the connecting rod wheel angle sensor were used on paddy farm machinery.The wheel angle measurement deviation of the proposed method and the connecting rod wheel angle sensor was not more than 1°,which is relatively small.It has good stability,speed adaptability,and dynamic responsiveness that meets the accuracy requirements of steering wheel angle measurement for paddy field agricultural machinery unmanned driving and can be used instead of connecting rod angle sensors for unmanned agricultural machinery. | Pei Wang Lian Hu Jie He Siqi Ke Zhongxian Man Tuanpeng Tu Luning Yang Yuanyuan Li Yanling Yi Weicong Li Xiwen Luo | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,6: | 1 |

| 19 | Recent advances in“universal”influenza virus antibodies:the rise of a hidden trimeric interface in hemagglutinin globular head显示文摘Influenza causes seasonal outbreaks yearly and unpredictable pandemics with high morbidity and mortality rates.Despite significant efforts to address influenza,it remains a major threat to human public health.This issue is partially due to the lack of antiviral drugs with potent antiviral activity and broad reactivity against all influenza virus strains and the rapid emergence of drug-resistant variants.Moreover,designing a universal influenza vaccine that is sufficiently immunogenic to induce universal antibodies is difficult.Some novel epitopes hidden in the hemagglutinin(HA)trimeric interface have been discovered recently,and a number of antibodies targeting these epitopes have been found to be capable of neutralizing a broad range of influenza isolates.These findings may have important implications for the development of universal influenza vaccines and antiviral drugs.In this review,we focused on the antibodies targeting these newly discovered epitopes in the HA domain of the influenza virus to promote the development of universal anti-influenza antibodies or vaccines and extend the discovery to other viruses with similar conformational changes in envelope proteins. | Yulu Wang Dan Hu Yanling Wu Tianlei Ying | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,2: | 1 |
