First dark matter search results from the PandaX-Ⅰ experiment显示文摘We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground Laboratory. In the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was found. This result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental results. The minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level. | XIAO MengJiao XIAO Xiang ZHAO Li CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. | 3 | Bioaugmentation of DDT-contaminated soil by dissemination of the catabolic plasmid pDOD显示文摘A plasmid transfer-mediated bioaugmentation method for the enhancement of dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane(DDT) degradation in soil was developed using the catabolic plasmid p DOD from Sphingobacterium sp. D-6. The p DOD plasmid could be transferred to soil bacteria, such as members of Cellulomonas, to form DDT degraders and thus accelerate DDT degradation. The transfer efficiency of p DOD was affected by the donor, temperature, moisture, and soil type. Approximately 50.7% of the DDT in the contaminated field was removed 210 days after the application of Escherichia coli TG I(p DOD-gfp). The results suggested that seeding p DOD into soil is an effective bioaugmentation method for enhancing the degradation of DDT. | Chunming Gao Xiangxiang Jin Jingbei Ren Hua Fang Yunlong Yu | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,1: | 6
Induction of seed germination in Orobanche spp.by extracts of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs显示文摘The co-evolution of Orobanche spp.and their hosts within the same environment has resulted in a high degree of adaptation and effective parasitism whereby the host releases parasite germination stimulants, which are likely to be unstable in the soil. Our objective was to investigate whether extracts from non-host plants, specifically,Chinese medicinal plants, could stimulate germination of Orobanche spp.Samples of 606 Chinese medicinal herb species were extracted with deionized water and methanol. The extracts were used to induce germination of three Orobanche species;Orobanche minor,Orobanche cumana, and Orobanche aegyptiaca.O.minor exhibited a wide range of germination responses to the various herbal extracts.O.cumana and O.aegyptiaca exhibited an intermediate germination response to the herbal extracts.O.minor,which has a narrow host spectrum, showed higher germination rates in response to different herbal extracts compared with those of O.cumana and O.aegyptiaca, which have a broader host spectrum.Methanolic extracts of many Chinese herbal species effectively stimulated seed germination among the Orobanche spp.,even though they were not the typical hosts. The effective herbs represent interesting examples of potential trap crops.Different countries can also screen extracts from indigenous herbaceous plants for their ability to induce germination of Orobanche spp.seeds.The use of such species as trap plants could diminish the global soil seed bank of Orobanche. | MA YongQing ZHANG Wei DONG ShuQi REN XiangXiang AN Yu LANG Ming | 2012 | Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,3: | 6
Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). With an exposure of 5.6 ton-years, the sensitivity of Panda X-4 T could reach a minimum spin-independent dark matter-nucleon cross section of 6 × 10^(-48) cm^2 at a dark matter mass of 40 Ge V/c^2. | HongGuang Zhang Abdusalam Abdukerim Wei Chen Xun Chen YunHua Chen XiangYi Cui BinBin Dong DeQing Fang ChangBo Fu Karl Giboni Franco Giuliani LinHui Gu XuYuan Guo ZhiFan Guo Ke Han ChangDa He ShengMing He Di Huang XingTao Huang Zhou Huang Peng Ji XiangDong Ji YongLin Ju ShaoLi Li Yao Li Heng Lin HuaXuan Liu JiangLai Liu YuGang Ma YaJun Mao KaiXiang Ni JinHua Ning XiangXiang Ren Fang Shi AnDi Tan AnQing Wang Cheng Wang HongWei Wang Meng Wang QiuHong Wang SiGuang Wang XiuLi Wang XuMing Wang Zhou Wang MengMeng Wu ShiYong Wu JingKai Xia MengJiao Xiao PengWei Xie BinBin Yan JiJun Yang Yong Yang ChunXu Yu JuMin Yuan JianFeng Yue Dan Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao QiBin Zheng JiFang Zhou Ning Zhou XiaoPeng Zhou | 2019 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2019,62,3: | 6
An improved evaluation of the neutron background in the PandaX-Ⅱ experiment显示文摘In dark matter direct detection experiments, neutron is a serious source of background, which can mimic the dark matter-nucleus scattering signals. In this paper,we present an improved evaluation of the neutron background in the PandaX-II dark matter experiment by a novel approach.Instead of fully relying on the Monte Carlo simulation, the overall neutron background is determined from the neutron-induced high energy signals in the data.In addition, the probability of producing a dark-matter-like background per neutron is evaluated with a complete Monte Carlo generator, where the correlated emission of neutron(s)andγ(s)in the(α,n)reactions and spontaneous fissions is taken into consideration. With this method, the neutron backgrounds in the Run 9(26-ton-day)and Run 10(28-ton-day)data sets of PandaX-II are estimated to be(0.66±0.24)and(0.47±0.25)events,respectively. | QiuHong Wang Abdusalam Abdukerim Wei Chen Xun Chen YunHua Chen XiangYi Cui YingJie Fan DeQing Fang ChangBo Fu LiSheng Geng Karl Giboni Franco Giuliani LinHui Gu XuYuan Guo Ke Han ChangDa He Di Huang Yan Huang YanLin Huang Zhou Huang Peng Ji XiangDong Ji YongLin Ju YiHui Lai Kun Liang HuaXuan Liu JiangLai Liu WenBo Ma YuGang Ma YaJun Mao Yue Meng Parinya Namwongsa KaiXiang Ni JinHua Ning XuYang Ning XiangXiang Ren ChangSong Shang Lin Si AnDi Tan AnQing Wang HongWei Wang Meng Wang SiGuang Wang XiuLi Wang Zhou Wang MengMeng Wu ShiYong Wu JingKai Xia MengJiao Xiao PengWei Xie BinBin Yan JiJun Yang Yong Yang ChunXu Yu Jumin Yuan Dan Zhang HongGuang Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao QiBin Zheng JiFang Zhou Ning Zhou XiaoPeng Zhou | 2020 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,3: | 0
Constraining self-interacting dark matter with the full dataset of PandaX-II显示文摘Self-interacting dark matter(SIDM)is a leading candidate proposed to solve discrepancies between predictions of the prevailing cold dark matter theory and observations of galaxies. Many SIDM models predict the existence of a light force carrier that mediates strong dark matter self-interactions.If the mediator couples to the standard model particles,it could produce characteristic signals in dark matter direct detection experiments. We report searches for signals of SIDM models with a light mediator using the full dataset of the PandaX-II experiment, basing on a total exposure of 132 tonne-days.No significant excess over background is found, and our likelihood analysis leads to a strong upper limit on the dark matter-nucleon coupling strength. We further combine the PandaX-II constraints and those from observations of the light element abundances in the early universe, and show that direct detection and cosmological probes can provide complementary constraints on dark matter models with a light mediator. | Jijun Yang Abdusalam Abdukerim Wei Chen Xun Chen Yunhua Chen Chen Cheng Xiangyi Cui Yingjie Fan Deqing Fang Changbo Fu Mengting Fu Lisheng Geng Karl Giboni Linhui Gu Xuyuan Guo Ke Han Changda He Shengming He Di Huang Yan Huang Ran Huo Yanlin Huang Zhou Huang Xiangdong Ji Yonglin Ju Shuaijie Li Qing Lin Huaxuan Liu Jianglai Liu Xiaoying Lu Wenbo Ma Yugang Ma Yajun Mao Yue Meng Nasir Shaheed Kaixiang Ni Jinhua Ning Xuyang Ning Xiangxiang Ren Changsong Shang Guofang Shen Lin Si Andi Tan Anqing Wang Hongwei Wang Meng Wang QiuHong Wang Siguang Wang Wei Wang Xiuli Wang Zhou Wang Mengmeng Wu Shiyong Wu Weihao Wu Jingkai Xia Mengjiao Xiao Xiang Xiao Pengwei Xie Binbin Yan Yong Yang Chunxu Yu Hai-Bo Yu Jumin Yuan Ying Yuan Xinning Zeng Dan Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao Qibin Zheng Jifang Zhou Ning Zhou Xiaopeng Zhou | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,11: | 0
Enhancing the aromatic selectivity of cyclohexane aromatization by CO_(2)coupling显示文摘Improving the aromatic selectivity in the alkane aromatization process is of great importance for its practical utilization but challenge to make because the high H/C ratio of alkanes would lead to a serious hydrogen transfer process and a large amount of light alkanes.Herein,CO_(2)is introduced into the cyclohexane conversion process on the HZSM-5 zeolite, which can improve the aromatic selectivity.By optimizing the reaction conditions,an improved aromatic(benzene, toluene, xylene, and C9+)selectivity of 48.2%can be obtained at the conditions of 2.7 MPa(CO_(2)),450℃,and 1.7 h^(−1),which is better than that without CO_(2)(aromatic selectivity=43.2%).In situ transmission Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy spectra illustrate that many oxygenated chemical intermediates(e.g.,carboxylic acid, anhydride, unsaturated aldehydes/ketones or ketene)would be formed during the cyclohexane conversion process in the presence of CO_(2).13C isotope labeling experimental results demonstrate that CO_(2)can enter into the aromatics through the formation of oxygenated chemical intermediates and thereby improve the aromatic selectivity. This study may open a green, economic, and promising way to improve the aromatic selectivity for alkane aromatization process. | Xiangxiang Ren Zhong-Pan Hu Jingfeng Han Yingxu Wei Zhongmin Liu | 2023 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,11: | 0
Determination of Double Beta Decay Half-Life of 136Xe with the PandaX-4T Natural Xenon Detector显示文摘Precise measurement of two-neutrino double beta decay(DBD)half-life is an important step for the searches of Majorana neutrinos with neutrinoless double beta decay. We report the measurement of DBD half-life of 136xe using the Pandax-4T dual-phase Time Projection Chamber(TPC)with 3.7-tonne natural xenon and the first 94.9-day physics data release. | Lin Si Zhaokan Cheng Abdusalam Abdukerim Zihao Bo Wei Chen Xun Chen Yunhua Chen Chen Cheng Yunshan Cheng Xiangyi Cui Yingjie Fan Deqing Fang Changbo Fu Mengting Fu Lisheng Geng Karl Giboni Linhui Gu Xuyuan Guo Ke Han Changda He Jinrong He Di Huang Yanlin Huang Zhou Huang Ruquan Hou Xiangdong Ji Yonglin Ju Chenxiang Li Jiafu Li Mingchuan Li Shu Li Shuaijie Li Qing Lin Jianglai Liu Xiaoying Lu Lingyin Luo Yunyang Luo Wenbo Ma Yugang Ma Yujun Mao Yue Meng Nasir Shaheed Xiaofeng Shang Xuyang Ning Ningchun Qi Zhicheng Qian Xiangxiang Ren Changsong Shang Guofang Shen Wenliang Sun Andi Tan Yi Tao Anqing Wang Meng Wang Qiuhong Wang Shaobo Wang Siguang Wang Wei Wang Xiuli Wang Zhou Wang Yuehuan Wei Mengmeng Wu Weihao Wu Jingkai Xia Mengjiao Xiao Xiang Xiao Pengwei Xie Binbin Yan Xiyu Yan Yong Yang Chunxu Yu Jumin Yuan Ying Yuan Zhe Yuan Dan Zhang Minzhen Zhang Peng Zhang Shibo Zhang Shu Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao Qibin Zheng Jifang Zhou Ning Zhou Xiaopeng Zhou Yong Zhou | 2023 | Research2023,,2: | 0
Protein sequence databases generated from metagenomics and public databases produced similar soil metaproteomic results of microbial taxonomic and functional changes显示文摘Soil metaproteomics has excellent potential as a tool to elucidate the structural and functional changes in soil microbial communities in response to environmental alterations. However, soil metaproteomics is hindered by several challenges and gaps. Soil microbial communities possess extremely complex microbial composition, including many uncultured microorganisms without whole genome sequencing. Thus, how to select a suitable protein sequence database remains challenging in soil metaproteomics. In this study, the Public database and Meta-database were constructed using protein sequences from public databases and metagenomics, respectively. We comprehensively analyzed and compared the soil metaproteomic results using these two kinds of protein sequence databases for protein identification based on published soil metaproteomic raw data. The results demonstrated that many more proteins, higher sequence coverage, and even more microbial species and functional annotations could be identified using the Meta-database compared with those identified using the Public database. These findings indicated that the Meta-database was more specific as a protein sequence database. However, the follow-up in-depth metaproteomic analyses exhibited similar main results regardless of the database used. The microbial community composition at the genus level was similar between the two databases, especially the species annotations with high peptide-spectrum match and high abundance. The functional analyses in response to stress, such as the gene ontology enrichment of biological progress and molecular function and the key functional microorganisms, were also similar regardless of the database. Our analysis revealed that the Public database could also meet the demand to explore the functional responses of microbial proteins to some extent. This study provides valuable insights into the choice of protein sequence databases and their impacts on subsequent bioinformatic analysis in soil metaproteomic research and will facilitate the optimization of experimental design for different purposes. | Yi XIONG Lu ZHENG Xiangxiang MENG Ren Fang SHEN Ping LAN | 2022 | Pedosphere2022,32,4: | 0
