Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. Therefore the observation of Insight-HXMT constitutes an important chapter in the full context of multi-wavelength and multi-messenger observation of this historical GW event. | TiPei Li ShaoLin Xiong ShuangNan Zhang FangJun Lu LiMing Song XueLei Cao Zhi Chang Gang Chen Li Chen TianXiang Chen Yong Chen YiBao Chen YuPeng Chen Wei Cui WeiWei Cui JingKang Deng YongWei Dong YuanYuan Du MinXue Fu GuanHua Gao He Gao Min Gao MingYu Ge YuDong Gu Ju Guan ChengCheng Guo DaWei Han Wei Hu Yue Huang Jia Huo ShuMei Jia LuHua Jiang WeiChun Jiang Jing Jin YongJie Jin Bing Li ChengKui Li Gang Li MaoShun Li Wei Li Xian Li XiaoBo Li XuFang Li YanGuo Li ZiJian Li ZhengWei Li XiaoHua Liang JinYuan Liao CongZhan Liu GuoQing Liu HongWei Liu ShaoZhen Liu XiaoJing Liu Yuan Liu YiNong Liu Bo Lu XueFeng Lu Tao Luo Xiang Ma Bin Meng Yi Nang JianYin Nie Ge OU JinLu Qu Na Sai Liang Sun Yin Tan Lian Tao WenHui Tao YouLi Tuo GuoFeng Wang HuanYu Wang Juan Wang WenShuai Wang YuSa Wang XiangYang Wen BoBing WU Mei Wu GuangCheng Xiao He Xu YuPeng Xu LinLi Yan JiaWei Yang Sheng Yang YanJi Yang AiMei Zhang ChunLei Zhang ChengMo Zhang Fan Zhang HongMei Zhang Juan Zhang Qiang Zhang Shu Zhang Tong Zhang Wei Zhang WanChang Zhang WenZhao Zhang Yi Zhang Yue Zhang YiFei Zhang YongJie Zhang Zhao Zhang ZiLiang Zhang HaiSheng Zhao JianLing Zhao XiaoFan Zhao ShiJie Zheng Yue Zhu YuXuan Zhu ChangLin Zou | 2018 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2018,61,3: | 12
Sinomenine reduces iNOS expressionvia inhibiting the T-bet IFN-γ pathway in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis in rats显示文摘Sinomenine is a bioactive alkaloid isolated from the Chinese medicinal plant Sinomenium acutum. It is widely used as an immunosuppressive drug for treating rheumatic and arthritic diseases. In our previous studies,we found that sinomenine reduced cellular infiltration within the spinal cord and alleviated experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE) in rats.In this study,we further investigated the mechanisms of sinomenine treatment in EAE rats.In EAE rats, treatment with sinomenine exerted an anti-inducible NO synthase(anti-iNOS) effect, which is related to the reductions of Th1 cytokine interferon-γ(IFN-γ) and its transcription factor,T-bet,in spinal cords. Moreover, sinomenine treatment of splenocytes stimulated with anti-CD3 antibody and recombinant rat interleukin 12 reduced the expression of T-bet and IFN-γ in vitro and also reduced the capability of supernatants of splenocyte culture to induce iNOS expression by primary astrocytes. However, sinomenine had no direct inhibitory effect on iNOS produced by astrocytes cultured with IFN-γ and tumor necrosis factor α in vitro. In conclusion, the anti-iNOS effect of sinomenine on EAE is mediated via the suppression of T-bet /IFN-γ pathway. | Bingjie Gu Yanying Zeng Cheng Yin Huijiuan Wang Xiaofan Yang Song Wang Xiaohui Ji | 2012 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,6: | 11
Serum IL-10 from systemic lupus erythematosus patients suppresses the differentiation and function of monocyte-derived dendritic cells显示文摘The role played by cytokines, other than interferon(IFN)-α,in the differentiation and function of dendritic cells(DCs) in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),remains unclear.Serum interleukin-10(IL-10) levels are generally elevated in SLE patients, which might modulate the differentiation of DCs.In this study,DCs were induced from monocytes either by transendothelial trafficking or by culture with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF) + IL-4 + tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α.Both systems were used to investigate the effects of elevated serum IL-10 level on DC differentiation in SLE patients. The results showed that monocyte-derived DCs induced by either SLE serum or exogenous IL-10 reduced the expression of human leukocyte antigen(HLA)-DR and CD80,decreased IL-12p40 level, and increased IL-10 level, and exhibited an impaired capacity to stimulate allogenic T-cell proliferation. These results indicate that serum IL-10 may be involved in the pathogenesis of SLE by modulating the differentiation and function of DCs. | Zhida Sun Rong Zhang Huijuan Wang Pengtao Jiang Jiangquan Zhang Mingshun Zhang Lei Gu Xiaofan Yang Miaojia Zhang Xiaohui Ji | 2012 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,6: | 3

Towards carbon neutrality:A study on China's long-term low-carbon transition pathways and strategies显示文摘As the world's biggest carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emitter and the largest developing country,China faces daunting challenges to peak its emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality within 40 years. This study fully considered the carbon-neutrality goal and the temperature rise constraints required by the Paris Agreement,by developing six long-term development scenarios, and conducting a quantitative evaluation on the carbon emissions pathways, energy transformation, technology, policy and investment demand for each scenario. This study combined both bottom-up and top-down methodologies, including simulations and analyses of energy consumption of end-use and power sectors(bottom-up),as well as scenario analysis, investment demand and technology evaluation at the macro level(top-down).This study demonstrates that achieving carbon neutrality before 2060 translates to significant efforts and overwhelming challenges for China. To comply with the target,a high rate of an average annual reduction of CO_(2) emissions by 9.3%from 2030 to 2050 is a necessity, which requires a huge investment demand. For example,in the 1.5℃ scenario,an investment in energy infrastructure alone equivalent to 2.6%of that year's GDP will be necessary. The technological pathway towards carbon neutrality will rely highly on both conventional emission reduction technologies and breakthrough technologies.China needs to balance a long-term development strategy of lower greenhouse gas emissions that meets both the Paris Agreement and the long-term goals for domestic economic and social development, with a phased implementation for both its five-year and long-term plans. | Jiankun He Zheng Li Xiliang Zhang Hailin Wang Wenjuan Dong Ershun Du Shiyan Chang Xunmin Ou Siyue Guo Zhiyu Tian Alun Gu Fei Teng Bin Hu Xiu Yang Siyuan Chen Mingtao Yao Zhiyi Yuan Li Zhou Xiaofan Zhao Ying Li Danwei Zhang | 2022 | Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2022,,1: | 2
Nonorthogonal object identification based on ghost imaging显示文摘Ghost imaging could be used to make a quick identification of orthogonal objects by means of photocurrent correlation measurements. In this paper, we extend the method to identify nonorthogonal objects. In the method, an object is illuminated by one photon from an entangled pair, and the other one is diffracted into a particular direction by a pre-established multiple-exposure hologram in the idler arm. By the correlation measurements, the nonorthogonal object in the signal arm could be discriminated within a very short time. The constraints for the identification of nonorthogonal objects are presented, which show that the nonorthogonal objects can be discriminated when the overlapping portion between any two objects is less than half of all the objects in the set. The numerical simulations further verify the result. | Xiaofan Gu Shengmei Zhao | 2015 | Photonics Research2015,3,5: | 1
FSIP1 enhances the therapeutic sensitivity to CDK4/6 inhibitors in triple-negative breast cancer patients by activating the Nanog pathway显示文摘CDK4/6 inhibitors are routinely recommended agents for the treatment of advanced HR+HER2-breast cancer. However, their therapeutic effectiveness in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)remains controversial. Here,we observed that the expression level of fibrous sheath interacting protein 1(FSIP1)could predict the treatment response of TNBC to CDK4/6 inhibitors.High FSIP1 expression level was related to a poor prognosis in TNBC,which was associated with the ability of FSIP1 to promote tumor cell proliferation.FSIP1 downregulation led to slowed tumor growth and reduced lung metastasis in TNBC.FSIP1knockout caused cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase and reduced treatment sensitivity to CDK4/6 inhibitors by inactivating the Nanog/CCND1/CDK4/6 pathway.FSIP1 could form a complex with Nanog, protecting it from ubiquitination and degradation, which may facilitate the rapid cell cycle transition from G0/G1 to S phase and exhibit enhanced sensitivity to CDK4/6 inhibitors. Our findings suggest that TNBC patients with high FSIP1 expression levels may be suitable candidates for CDK4/6 inhibitor treatment. | Guanglei Chen Lisha Sun Xi Gu Liping Ai Jie Yang Zhan Zhang Pengjie Hou Yining Wang Xunyan Ou Xiaofan Jiang Xinbo Qiao Qingtian Ma Nan Niu Jinqi Xue Hao Zhang Yongliang Yang Caigang Liu | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,12: | 1
Pathological significance and regulatory mechanism of lymphotoxin β receptor overexpression in T cells of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus显示文摘Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) is a typical autoimmune disease. Lymphotoxin β receptor(LTβR) signaling plays an important role in autoimmune inflammations. LTβR-Ig fusion protein, LTβR blocking agent, has been used to treat SLE, while its mechanism remains to be fully elucidated. In this study, to investigate the expression of LTβR in the T cells of SLE patients and its roles in the pathogenesis of SLE, we isolated the peripheral blood T cells of SLE patients and normal controls to detect expression of LTβR by flow cytometry and RNA assay. T cells were also stimulated with LIGHT, a ligand of LTβR, and then detected for their LTβR expressions and apoptosis by flow cytometry. Also, their expressions of inflammatory factors and receptors were determined by RNA assay. The results showed that LTβR positive cells were 22.75%±6.98% in CD3^+ cells of SLE patients, while there were almost no LTβR positive cells in CD3^+ cells of normal persons. Moreover, LTβR expression was remarkably higher in CD3,CD4 and CD8 positive T cells of active SLE patients than non/low active patients(all P<0.05), and positively correlated with increased Ig level, decreased complement level and renal damage. Moreover, the stimulation of SLE T cells with LIGHT promoted higher expression of LTβR, IL-23 R and IL-17 A, and apoptosis of T cells. In conclusion,we demonstrated a high expression of LTβR in the T cells of SLE patients which may be associated with pathogenesis of SLE. | Cheng Yin Xubing Cai Huijuan Wang Bingjie Gu Xiaofan Yang Rong Zhang Xiaohui Ji | 2018 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2018,32,2: | 1

Smartphone User Authentication Based on Holding Position and Touch-Typing Biometrics显示文摘In this advanced age, when smart phones are the norm, people utilize social networking, online shopping, and even private information storage through smart phones. As a result, identity authentication has become the most critical security activity in this period of the intelligent craze.By analyzing the shortcomings of the existing authentication methods, this paper proposes an identity authentication method based on the behavior of smartphone users.Firstly, the sensor data and touch-screen data of the smart phone users are collected through android programming.Secondly, the eigenvalues of this data are extracted and sent to the server.Thirdly, the Support Vector Machine(SVM)and Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)are introduced to train the collected data on the server end,and the results are finally yielded by the weighted average. The results show that the method this paper proposes has great FRR(False Reject Rate)and FAR(False Accept Rate). | Yu Sun Qiyuan Gao Xiaofan Du Zhao Gu | 2019 | Computers, Materials & Continua2019,,9: | 0
Discrimination of aqueous and vinegary extracts of Shixiao San using metabolomics coupled with multivariate data analysis and evaluation of antihyperlipidemic effect显示文摘A novel study using LCeMS(Liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry)coupled with multivariate data analysis and bioactivity evaluation was established for discrimination of aqueous extract and vinegar extract of Shixiao San.Batches of these two kinds of samples were subjected to analysis, and the datasets of sample codes,tR-m/z pairs and ion intensities were processed with principal component analysis(PCA).The result of score plot showed a clear classification of the aqueous and vinegar groups. And the chemical markers having great contributions to the differentiation were screened out on the loading plot. The identities of the chemical markers were performed by comparing the mass fragments and retention times with those of reference compounds and/or the known compounds published in the literatures.Based on the proposed strategy,quercetin-3-Oneohesperidoside,isorhamnetin-3-O-neohespeeridoside,kaempferol-3-O-neohesperidoside,isorhamnetin-3-O-rutinoside and isorhamnetin-3-O-(2G-a-l-rhamnosyl)-rutinoside were explored as representative markers in distinguishing the vinegar extract from the aqueous extract. The anti-hyperlipidemic activities of two processed extracts of Shixiao San were examined on serum levels of lipids, lipoprotein and blood antioxidant enzymes in a rat hyperlipidemia model, and the vinegary extract, exerting strong lipid-lowering and antioxidative effects, was superior to the aqueous extract. Therefore, boiling with vinegary was predicted as the greatest processing procedure for anti-hyperlipidemic effect of Shixiao San.Furthermore, combining the changes in the metabolic profiling and bioactivity evaluation, the five representative markers may be related to the observed antihyperlipidemic effect. | Xiaofan Wang Xu Zhao Liqiang Gu Yuanyuan Zhang Kaishun Bi Xiaohui Chen | 2014 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2014,9,1: | 0
miR-126-5p affects the chemosensitivity of colorectal cancer cells by regulating SPRED1, ERK1/2 pathway and apoptosis显示文摘Chemoresistance is still one of the main obstacles to treat colorectal cancer(CRC).Substantial studies on biomarkers related to chemoresistance have emerged in recent years. Many microRNAs(miRNA)have been reported to involved in drug resistance and CRC.1 MiR-126-5p participates in malignant behaviors of numerous cancers.2,3 However,it is not known if miR-126-5p participates in multidrug resistance in CRC.Especially, the impact of miR-126-5p on drug resistance of CRC and its drug resistance mechanism have not been reported. | Mingshi Xu Gang Zhang Xiaofan Gu Fangqin Zhao Zhongmin Yang Xiongwen Zhang | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,3: | 0
Single-cell analyses reveal cannabidiol rewires tumor microenvironment via inhibiting alternative activation of macrophage and synergizes with anti-PD-1 in colon cancer显示文摘Colorectal tumors often create an immunosuppressive microenvironment that prevents them from responding to immunotherapy.Cannabidiol(CBD)is a non-psychoactive natural active ingredient from the cannabis plant that has various pharmacological effects, including neuroprotective,antiemetic,anti-inflammatory,and antineoplastic activities. This study aimed to elucidate the specific anticancer mechanism of CBD by single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)and single-cell ATAC sequencing(scATAC-seq)technologies.Here,we report that CBD inhibits colorectal cancer progression by modulating the suppressive tumor microenvironment(TME).Our single-cell transcriptome and ATAC sequencing results showed that CBD suppressed M2-like macrophages and promoted M1-like macrophages in tumors both in strength and quantity.Furthermore,CBD significantly enhanced the interaction between M1-like macrophages and tumor cells and restored the intrinsic anti-tumor properties of macrophages, thereby preventing tumor progression.Mechanistically,CBD altered the metabolic pattern of macrophages and related anti-tumor signaling pathways. We found that CBD inhibited the alternative activation of macrophages and shifted the metabolic process from oxidative phosphorylation and fatty acid oxidation to glycolysis by inhibiting the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-protein kinase B signaling pathway and related downstream target genes.Furthermore,CBD-mediated macrophage plasticity enhanced the response to anti-programmed cell death protein-1(PD-1)immunotherapy in xenografted mice.Taken together,we provide new insights into the anti-tumor effects of CBD. | Xiaofan Sun Lisha Zhou Yi Wang Guoliang Deng Xinran Cao Bowen Ke Xiaoqi Wu Yanhong Gu Haibo Cheng Qiang Xu Qianming Du Hongqi Chen Yang Sun | 2023 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,7: | 0
Online single-shot characterization of ultrafast pulses from high-gain free-electron lasers显示文摘X-ray free-electron lasers(FELs)provide cutting-edge tools for fundamental researches to study nature down to the atomic level at a time-scale that fits this resolution.A precise knowledge of temporal information of FEL pulses is the central issue for its applications. Here we proposed and demonstrated a novel method to determine the FEL temporal profiles online. This robust method, designed for ultrafast FELs,allows researchers to acquire real-time longitudinal profiles of FEL pulses as well as their arrive times with respect to the external optical laser with a resolution better than 6 fs.Based on this method,we can also directly measure various properties of FEL pulses and correlations between them online. This helps us to further understand the FEL lasing processes and realize the generation of stable, nearly fully coherent soft X-ray laser pulses at the Shanghai Soft X-ray FEL facility. This method will enhance the experimental opportunities for ultrafast science in various areas. | Li Zeng Chao Feng Duan Gu Xiaofan Wang Kaiqing Zhang Bo Liu Zhentang Zhao | 2022 | Fundamental Research2022,2,6: | 0
