1Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. 2In situ scanning electron microscopy observation of deformation and fracture behavior of Ti-3Zr-2Sn-3Mo-25Nb alloy显示文摘The plastic deformation and fracture processes of Ti-3Zr-2Sn-3Mo-25Nb alloy for surgical implants were directly observed by in situ scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The effect of phase transformations on deformation-induced martensitic transformation accompanying the cyclic tensile fracture processes was investigated.The results reveal that the metastable alpha martensites(α″) promotes deformation-induced martensitic transformation to ductile fracture,whereas the omega(ω) and alpha(α) phases drastically prevent slip dislocation and deformation-induced martensitic transformation to brittle fracture.Ma, Xiqun Yu, Zhentao Han, Yong Song, Xiping Sun, Qiaoyan 2012Rare Metals2012,31,4:9
3Entrapping multifunctional dendritic nanoparticles into a hydrogel for local therapeutic delivery and synergetic immunochemotherapy显示文摘Developing multifunctional nanoparticles to support new therapy models is apromising and challenging task to address the current dilemma on antitumortreatment. Herein, we incorporated multifunctional dendritic nanoparticles intoa poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide)-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(D,Lqactide-co-glycolide)(PLGA-PEG-PLGA) triblock copolymers thermosensitive injectable hydrogelmatrix to construct a localized drug delivery system for combining chemotherapyand immunotherapy. The multifunctional dendritic nanoparticles were designedwith following expectations: i, Dendritic scaffolds provide a hydrophobic interiorto load the anticancer drug, doxorubicin (DOX), for chemotherapy; and ii,dendritic scaffolds are used to build arginine-rich molecules to provide theinducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) substrate, L-Arg, to M1 macrophages,which can produce the cytotoxic substance nitric oxide (NO) and subsequentlyinduce tumor cell destruction through immunotherapy. It is noteworthy that thedendritic nanoparticles-in-hydrogel delivery system is able to gel at physiologicaltemperature and serves as a warehouse for the sustained release of the drug.Ultimately, this system showed great efficacy in treating 4T1 cells-xenograftedBALB/C mice (86.62% tumor growth inhibition). 4Biomedical polymers: synthesis, properties, and applications显示文摘Biomedical polymers have been extensively developed for promising applications in a lot of biomedical fields, such as therapeutic medicine delivery, disease detection and diagnosis, biosensing, regenerative medicine, and disease treatment. In this review, we summarize the most recent advances in the synthesis and application of biomedical polymers, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their property-function relationship for corresponding biomedical applications. In particular, a few burgeoning bioactive polymers, such as peptide/biomembrane/microorganism/cell-based biomedical polymers, are also introduced and highlighted as the emerging biomaterials for cancer precision therapy. Furthermore, the foreseeable challenges and outlook of the development of more efficient, healthier and safer biomedical polymers are discussed. 6Shape Effects of Cylindrical versus Spherical Unimolecular Polymer Nanomaterials on in Vitro and in Vivo Behaviors显示文摘To date,how the shape of nanomaterials infuences their biological properties is poorly understood,due to the insufcient controllability of current preparative methods,especially in the shape and size of nanomaterials.In this paper,we achieved the precise syntheses of nanoscale unimolecular cylindrical polymer brushes(CPBs)and spherical polymer nanoparticles(SPNPs)with the same volume and surface chemistry,which ensured that shape was essentially the only variable when their biological performance was compared.Accurate shape efects were obtained.Impressively,the CPBs had remarkable advantage in tissue penetration over the SPNPs.Te CPBs also exhibited higher cellular uptake and rapider body clearance than the SPNPs,whereas the SPNPs had longer blood circulation time,rapider tumor vascular extravasation,and higher tumor accumulation than the CPBs.Additionally,this work also provided a controllable synthesis strategy for nanoscale unimolecular SPNPs by integrating 21 CPBs to a�-cyclodextrin core,whose diameter in dry state could be up to 45 nm.Zhengkui Zhang Changren Liu Cheng Li Wei Wu Xiqun Jiang 2019Research2019,,1:2
7Responsive boron biomaterials and their biomedical applications显示文摘Due to the formation of dynamic boronate ester bonds between phenylboronic acid(PBA) and 1,2-and 1,3-diols, PBAcontaining biomaterials show increasing applications in biomedical areas, including responsive nanobiomaterials for targeting delivery of chemical drugs, protein drugs, gene drugs and imaging agents in vitro and in vivo for detection of various bioactive molecules such as sialic acid, saccharides, adenosine triphosphate(ATP) and dopamine. With the specific reaction between PBA and sialic acid, which is overexpressed in many kinds of cancer cells, PBA has been used as a targeting moiety for tumortargeting drug delivery. Additionally, PBA as an electron acceptor affords nanomaterials Lewis acid-base coordination with electron donor atoms such as nitrogen and oxygen, which can be exploited for developing drug delivery systems with high drug loading. Furthermore, PBA-containing materials can stoichiometric consume reactive oxygen species(ROS) and show a nucleus targeting ability. This current review outlined PBA-containing biomaterials with various responsive abilities including sialic acid-targeting, sugars-binding, ROS-response, ATP-response, dopamine-binding, and nuclear targeting.
