| 2 | The Survey of Cronobacter spp.(formerly Enterbacter sakazakii) in Infant and Follow-up Powdered Formula in China in 2012显示文摘Objective To determine Cronobacter spp.contamination in infant and follow-up powdered formula in China.Methods All of 2282 samples were collected from the retail markets in China from January 2012 to December 2012,and analyzed for Cronobacter spp.by the Chinese National Food Safety Standard.Characterization of the isolates was analyzed by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis(PFGE)with XbaI and Spe I restriction enzymes.Results Cronobacter spp.strains were isolated from 25 samples,and the positive rates in infant powdered formulas and follow-up powdered formulas were 0.90%(10/1011)and 1.18%(15/1271),respectively.Analysis of variable data regarding different purchasing store formats,seasonality,and production locations as well as comparison of infant versus follow-up formulas did not reveal statistically significant factors.During the sampling period,one of six surveillance zones did exhibit a statistically significant trend towards higher positive rate.PFGE characterization of Cronobacter spp.to elucidate genetic diversity revealed only three pairs of Cronobacter spp.out of 25 having the same PFGE patterns.Conclusion The current investigation indicated a lower positive rate of Cronobacter spp.in the powdered formula in China.This evidence suggested contamination originating from multiple different sources during the manufacturing process. | PEI Xiao Yan YAN Lin ZHU Jiang Hui LI Ning GUO Yun Chang FU Ping JIA Hua Yun ZHANG Xiu Li YANG Xiao Rong YANG Da Jin | 2016 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,2: | 4 |

| 4 | BMI and BMI Changes to All-cause Mortality among the Elderly in Beijing: a 20-year Cohort Study显示文摘Objective To explore the association between body mass index(BMI)and all-cause mortality among the elderly in Beijing.Methods This analysis was based on the Beijing multidimensional longitudinal study of aging(BLSA),which included 2,090 subjects over 55 years old and was followed-up from 1992 to 2012.BMI-mortality curves were drawn to find the optimal BMI range with the lowest mortality.Cox proportional hazard models were used to obtain the hazard ratios(HRs)for BMI and BMI changes in the overall population and in specific stratified populations.Results During follow-up,1,164 deaths were recorded;BMI-mortality curve was U-shaped,with the lowest mortality at a BMI of approximately 25 kg/m^2.After adjusting for gender,age,smoking,drinking and some pre-existing diseases,HRs for underweight,overweight and obesity compared with normal weight were 1.372(95%CI:1.154-1.631),0.767(95%CI:0.666-0.884)and 0.871(95%CI:0.830-1.246),respectively.HR for BMI drop was 3.245(95%CI:0.824-12.772)in the underweight group and 1.892(95%CI:0.830-1.246)in the normal weight group,HR for BMI rise was 1.795(95%CI:1.243-2.591)in normal weight group and 1.962(95%CI:1.202-3.203)in the overweight group.Conclusion Keeping BMI in an overweight status and stable is related to a reduced mortality. | WANG Yun Feng TANG Zhe GUO Jin TAO Li Xin LIU Long LI Hai Bin LI Di Tian GUO Xiu Hua YANG Xing Hua | 2017 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2017,30,2: | 3 |
| 5 | Factors associated with upstaging in patients preoperatively diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ by core needle biopsy显示文摘Objective: Patients preoperatively diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ(DCIS) by core needle biopsy(CNB) exhibit a significant risk for upstaging on final pathology, which leads to major concerns of whether axillary staging is required at the primary operation. The present study aimed to identify clinicopathological factors associated with upstaging in patients preoperatively diagnosed with DCIS by CNB.Methods: The present study enrolled 604 patients(cN0 M0) with a preoperative diagnosis of pure DCIS by CNB, who underwent axillary staging between August 2006 and December 2015, at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center(Shanghai, China).Predictive factors of upstaging were analyzed retrospectively.Results: Of the 604 patients, 20.03%(n = 121) and 31.95%(n = 193) were upstaged to DCIS with microinvasion(DCISM) and invasive breast cancer(IBC) on final pathology, respectively. Larger tumor size on ultrasonography(> 2 cm) was independently associated with upstaging [odds ratio(OR) 1.558, P = 0.014]. Additionally, patients in lower breast imaging reporting and data system(BI-RADS) categories were less likely to be upstaged(4 B vs. 5: OR 0.435, P = 0.002;4 C vs. 5: OR 0.502, P = 0.001). Overall,axillary metastasis occurred in 6.79%(n = 41) of patients. Among patients with axillary metastasis, 1.38%(4/290), 3.31%(4/121)and 17.10%(33/193) were in the DCIS, DCISM, and IBC groups, respectively.Conclusions: For patients initially diagnosed with DCIS by CNB, larger tumor size on ultrasonography(> 2 cm) and higher BIRADS category were independent predictive factors of upstaging on final pathology.
