1A wave of Foxp3^(+) regulatory T cell accumulation in the neonatal liver plays unique roles in maintaining self-tolerance显示文摘Newborn animals require tightly regulated local and systemic immune environments to govern the development and maturation of multiple organs/tissues even though the immune system itself is far from mature during the neonatal period.Regulatory T cells(Tregs)are essential for maintaining immune tolerance/homeostasis and modulating inflammatory responses.The features of Tregs in the neonatal liver under steady-state conditions are not well understood.The present study aimed to investigate the phenotype,functions,and significance of neonatal Tregs in the liver.We found a wave of thymus-derived Treg influx into the liver during 1–2 weeks of age.Depletion of these Tregs between days 7 and 11 after birth rapidly resulted in Th1-type liver inflammation and metabolic disorder.More Tregs in the neonatal liver than in the spleen underwent MHC II-dependent activation and proliferation,and the liver Tregs acquired stronger suppressive functions.The transcriptomic profile of these neonatal liver Tregs showed elevated expression of PPARγand T-bet and features of Tregs that utilize lipid metabolic machinery and are capable of regulating Th1 responses.The accumulation of Tregs with unique features in the neonatal liver is critical to ensure self-tolerance and liver maturation.Mingyang Li Weijia Zhao Yifan Wang Lixue Jin Gaowen Jin Xiuyuan Sun Wei Wang Ke Wang Xi Xu Jie Hao Rong Jin Wenxian Fu Ying Sun Yingjun Chang Xiaojun Huang Xuyu Zhou Hounan Wu Kunshan Zhang Qing Ge 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,5:4

3A highly sensitive bio-barcode immunoassay for multi-residue detection of organophosphate pesticides based on fluorescence antiquenching显示文摘Balancing the risks and benefits of organophosphate pesticides(OPs)on human and environmental health relies partly on their accurate measurement.A highly sensitive fluorescence anti-quenching multi-residue bio-barcode immunoassay was developed to detect OPs(triazophos,parathion,and chlorpyrifos)in apples,turnips,cabbages,and rice.Gold nanoparticles were functionalized with monoclonal antibodies against the tested OPs.DNA oligonucleotides were complementarily hybridized with an RNA fluorescent label for signal amplification.The detection signals were generated by DNA-RNA hybridization and ribonuclease H dissociation of the fluorophore.The resulting fluorescence signal enables multiplexed quantification of triazophos,parathion,and chlorpyrifos residues over the concentration range of 0.01-25,0.01-50,and 0.1-50 ng/mL with limits of detection of 0.014,0.011,and 0.126 ng/mL,respectively.The mean recovery ranged between 80.3% and 110.8% with relative standard deviations of 7.3%-17.6%,which correlate well with results obtained by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS).The proposed bio-barcode immunoassay is stable,reproducible and reliable,and is able to detect low residual levels of multi-residue OPs in agricultural products.Lingyuan Xu Xiuyuan Zhang A.M.Abd El-Aty Yuanshang Wang Zhen Cao Huiyan Jia J.-Pablo Salvador Ahmet Hacimuftuoglu Xueyan Cui Yudan Zhang Kun Wang Yongxin She Fen Jin Lufei Zheng Baima Pujia Jing Wang Maojun Jin Bruce D.Hammock 2022Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2022,12,4:1

7Quantum-dot light-emitting diodes with Fermi-level pinning at the hole-injection/hole-transporting interfaces显示文摘Quantum-dot light-emitting diodes(QLEDs)are multilayer electroluminescent devices promising for next-generation display and solid-state-lighting technologies.In the state-of-the-art QLEDs,hole-injection layers(HILs)with high work functions are generally used to achieve efficient hole injection.In these devices,Fermi-level pinning,a phenomenon often observed in heterojunctions involving organic semiconductors,can take place in the hole-injection/hole-transporting interfaces.However,an in-depth understanding of the impacts of Fermi-level pinning at the hole-injection/hole-transporting interfaces on the operation and performance of QLEDs is still lacking.Here,we develop a set of NiOx HILs with controlled work functions of 5.2–5.9 eV to investigate QLEDs with Fermi-level pinning at the hole-injection/hole-transporting interfaces.The results show that despite that Fermi-level pinning induces identical apparent hole-injection barriers,the red QLEDs using HILs with higher work functions show improved efficiency roll-off and better operational stability.Remarkably,the devices using the NiOx HILs with a work function of 5.9 eV demonstrate a peak external quantum efficiency of~18.0%and a long T95 operational lifetime of 8,800 h at 1,000 cd·m^(−2),representing the best-performing QLEDs with inorganic HILs.Our work provides a key design principle for future developments of the hole-injection/hole-transporting interfaces of QLEDs.Maopeng Xu Desui Chen Jian Lin Xiuyuan Lu Yunzhou Deng Siyu He Xitong Zhu Wangxiao Jin Yizheng Jin 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:0
