4Effects of support pore size on new Cs_(2.5)H_(0.5)PW_(12)O_(40)/SiO_2 catalysts for the ring-opening polymerization of tetrahydrofuran显示文摘Mesoporous silica supported Cs_(2.5)H_(0.5)PW_(12)O_(40) catalysts were prepared by impregnation method,and several silica supports with different pore size were utilized.N_2 adsorption,XRD and ICP-AES techniques were utilized to characterize the silica supports and catalysts.XRD results showed that the dispersion of Cs_(2.5)H_(0.5)PW_(12) was better for the silica support with larger pore size.The catalytic activity results showed that the pore size played important role on the catalyst activity and the molecular weight of PTHF. When Cs_(2.5)H_(0.5)PW_(12)O_(40) was dispersed on larger pore size silica support,the catalysts showed good performances for the synthesis of PTHF.The molecular weight of PTHF product on the sample in which Cs_(2.5)H_(0.5)PW_(12)O_(40) was dispersed on larger pore support was higher than that on the catalyst with smaller pore support.The leaching amounts of the active components for the supported Cs_(2.5)H_(0.5)PW_(12)O_(40) catalysts were much lower.After five reaction cycles,there were still good activities and stabilities for the supported Cs_(2.5)H_(0.5)PW_(12)O_(40) catalysts with larger pore silica supports.These results were much better than those of the supported heteropolyacid H_3PW_(12)O_(40) catalyst.Xue Mei Liao Wei Chu Yang Li FU Dong Zhoua Shi Zhong Luo 2009Chinese Chemical Letters2009,20,3:2
5Preconcentration of Ultra-trace Cadmium with Nanometer-size TiO_2 Colloid and Determination by GFAAS with Slurry Sampling显示文摘A novel method of ultra-trace Cd(II) preconcentration with nanometer-size TiO2 colloid and determination by graphite furnace atomic adsorption spectrometry(GFAAS) with slurry sampling was first advanced in this paper. The adsorption efficiency of nanometer-size TiO2 colloid for ultra-trace Cd(II) could reach above 96% in a short time when the pH value was between 5 and 6. Other problems were also studied,such as adsorption capacity,nanometer-size TiO2 colloid dosage,effect of coexistent ions. The detection limit(3σ) and the relative standard deviation (R.S.D) of this method were 4.46?10-3 μg/L and 1.30%(n=7),respectively. 6Calcium supplementation in colorectal cancer prevention:A systematic meta-analysis of adverse events显示文摘Despite the multiple systematic reviews and meta-analyses accumulating evidence on the preventive effect of calcium supplementation for colorectal cancer,most of the associated adverse effects are not systematically analyzed.The aim of the study is evaluating adverse events associated with calcium supplementation for colorectal cancer prevention through a systematic meta-analysis.We searched Medline,PubMed Central,EMBASE(Excerpta Medica database),Scopus,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,and Web of Science published in English from database inception up to 31 July 2019.In the current systematic meta-analysis,we included human studies(including cohort studies,clinical trials,case-control studies)on supplementation of calcium in patients with or at risk of colorectal cancer.Assessment of the quality of included studies was performed by Jadad score.Information on the patient population,number of enrolled subjects in each group,dose of calcium supplementation,duration of calcium supplementation,and reported adverse events were gathered.The data were pooled for incidence rates for any adverse event during the study period regardless of causality association.We identified 6 studies,comprising 4583 participants that met the inclusion criteria.Meta-analysis on pooled incidence rates for adverse event during study period showed no statistically significant increased risk for cancer(OR=0.92,95%CI:0.70–1.21,P=0.577;I^(2)=0.0%,P=0.731),coronary revascularization(OR=1.12,95%CI:0.79–1.59,P=0.492;I^(2)=0.0%,P=0.957),myocardial infarction(OR=0.81,95%CI:0.34–1.91,P=0.634;I^(2)=67.9%,P=0.047),stroke(OR=0.75,95%CI:0.42–1.33,P=0.332,I^(2)=0.00%,P=0.717),Transient Ischemic Attack(TIA)(OR=1.37,95%CI:0.28–6.51,P=0.692,I^(2)=81.9%,P=0.002),urolithiasis(OR=1.23,95%CI:0.75–2.01,P=0.410;I^(2)=0.0%,P=0.851),fracture(OR=0.98,95%CI:0.70–1.37,P=0.938;I^(2)=37.8%,P=0.152)and death(OR=1.05,95%CI:0.71–1.56,P=0.786,I^(2)=12.2%,P=0.317)in patients receiving calcium supplementation for colorectal cancer prevention compared to control.Based on the results of Egger test,publication bias was not observed among the studies(P=0.262).The current result of the meta-analysis on human studies reporting adverse events associated with calcium supplementation for the prevention of colorectal cancer demonstrated no statistically significant increased risk for the development of adverse events compared to control groups.XUE MEI LUO SHAHANAVAJ KHAN ABDUL MALIK FAHAD M.ALDAKHEEL ANIS AHMAD CHAUDHARY SHOUKI BAZARBASHI FATEMEH TABATABAIE 2022BIOCELL2022,46,3:0

9Correlation between Combined Urinary Metal Exposure and Grip Strength under Three Statistical Models:A Cross-sectional Study in Rural Guangxi显示文摘Objective This study aimed to investigate the potential relationship between urinary metals copper(Cu),arsenic(As),strontium(Sr),barium(Ba),iron(Fe),lead(Pb)and manganese(Mn)and grip strength.Methods We used linear regression models,quantile g-computation and Bayesian kernel machine regression(BKMR)to assess the relationship between metals and grip strength.Results In the multimetal linear regression,Cu(β=−2.119),As(β=−1.318),Sr(β=−2.480),Ba(β=0.781),Fe(β=1.130)and Mn(β=−0.404)were significantly correlated with grip strength(P<0.05).The results of the quantile g-computation showed that the risk of occurrence of grip strength reduction was−1.007(95%confidence interval:−1.362,−0.652;P<0.001)when each quartile of the mixture of the seven metals was increased.Bayesian kernel function regression model analysis showed that mixtures of the seven metals had a negative overall effect on grip strength,with Cu,As and Sr being negatively associated with grip strength levels.In the total population,potential interactions were observed between As and Mn and between Cu and Mn(P_(interactions) of 0.003 and 0.018,respectively).Conclusion In summary,this study suggests that combined exposure to metal mixtures is negatively associated with grip strength.Cu,Sr and As were negatively correlated with grip strength levels,and there were potential interactions between As and Mn and between Cu and Mn.LIANG Yu Jian RONG Jia Hui WANG Xue Xiu CAI Jian Sheng QIN Li Dong LIU Qiu Mei TANG Xu MO Xiao Ting WEI Yan Fei LIN Yin Xia HUANG Shen Xiang LUO Ting Yu GOU Ruo Yu CAO Jie Jing HUANG Chu Wu LU Yu Fu QIN Jian ZHANG Zhi Yong 2024Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2024,37,1:0
10Prevalence and clinical characteristics of autoimmune liver disease in hospitalized patients with cirrhosis and acute decompensation in China显示文摘BACKGROUND Autoimmune liver disease(AILD)has been considered a relatively uncommon disease in China,epidemiological data for AILD in patients with cirrhosis and acute decompensation(AD)is sparse.AIM To investigate the prevalence,outcome and risk factors for AILD in cirrhotic patients complicated with AD in China.METHODS We collected data from patients with cirrhosis and AD from two prospective,multicenter cohorts in hepatitis B virus endemic areas.Patients were regularly followed up at the end of 28-d,90-d and 365-d,or until death or liver transplantation(LT).The primary outcome in this study was 90-d LTfree mortality.Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)was assessed on admission and during 28-d hospitalization,according to the diagnostic criteria of the European Association for the Study of the Liver(EASL).Risk factors for death were analyzed with logistic regression model.RESULTS In patients with cirrhosis and AD,the overall prevalence of AILD was 9.3%(242/2597).Prevalence of ACLF was significantly lower in AILD cases(14%)than those with all etiology groups with cirrhosis and AD(22.8%)(P<0.001).Among 242 enrolled AILD patients,the prevalence rates of primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC),autoimmune hepatitis(AIH)and PBC-AIH overlap syndrome(PBC/AIH)were 50.8%,28.5%and 12.0%,respectively.In ACLF patients,the proportions of PBC,AIH and PBC/AIH were 41.2%,29.4% and 20.6%.28-d and 90-d mortality were 43.8% and 80.0% in AILD-related ACLF.The etiology of AILD had no significant impact on 28-d,90-d or 365-d LTfree mortality in patients with cirrhosis and AD in both univariate and multivariate analysis.Total bilirubin(TB),hepatic encephalopathy(HE)and blood urea nitrogen(BUN)were independent risk factors for 90-d LT-free mortality in multivariate analysis.The development of ACLF during hospitalization only independently correlated to TB and international normalized ratio.CONCLUSION AILD was not rare in hospitalized patients with cirrhosis and AD in China,among which PBC was the most common etiology.90-d LT-free mortality were independently associated with TB,HE and BUN.Zi-Xuan Shen Dan-Dan Wu Jie Xia Xian-Bo Wang Xin Zheng Yan Huang Bei-Ling Li Zhong-Ji Meng Yan-Hang Gao Zhi-Ping Qian Feng Liu Xiao-Bo Lu Jia Shang Hua-Dong Yan Yu-Bao Zheng Wen-Yi Gu Yan Zhang Jian-Yi Wei Wen-Ting Tan Yi-Xin Hou Qun Zhang Yan Xiong Cong-Cong Zou Jun Chen Ze-Bing Huang Xiu-Hua Jiang Sen Luo Yuan-Yuan Chen Na Gao Chun-Yan Liu Wei Yuan Xue Mei Jing Li Tao Li Xin-Yi Zhou Guo-Hong Deng Jin-Jun Chen Xiong Ma Hai Li 2022World Journal of Gastroenterology2022,28,31:0

12Effects of Grain Size and Cryogenic Temperature on the Strain Hardening Behavior of VCoNi Medium‑Entropy Alloys显示文摘The mechanical behavior of VCoNi medium-entropy alloys with five different grain sizes at three different temperatures was investigated.The VCoNi alloys with different grain sizes exhibit a traditional strength–ductility trade-off at 77 K,194 K and 293 K.Both the yield strength and the uniform elongation of the VCoNi alloys with similar grain size increase with decreasing the deformation temperature from 293 to 77 K.Obvious strain hardening rate recovery characterized by an evident up-turn behavior at stage II is observed in VCoNi alloys with the grain size above 11.1μm.It is found that the extent of the strain hardening rate recovery increases with increasing grain size or decreasing deformation temperature.This may mainly result from the faster increase in the dislocation multiplication rate caused by the decrease in the dislocation mean free path,the decrease in the absorption of dislocations by grain boundaries and the dynamic recovery from the cross-slip with increasing grain size,as well as the suppressed dynamic recovery at cryogenic temperatures.The critical grain sizes for the occurrence of the recovery of strain hardening rate are determined to be around 9.5μm,8.3μm and 3μm for alloys deformed at 293 K,194 K and 77 K,respectively.The basic mechanism for the strain hardening behavior of the VCoNi alloys associated with grain size and deformation temperature is analyzed.Guo‑Dong Liu Xue‑Mei Luo Ji‑Peng Zou Bin Zhang Guang‑Ping Zhang 2023Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2023,36,6:0

14Evaluation of Tensile and Fatigue Properties of Metals Using Small Specimens显示文摘Small specimens are increasingly being used in getting mechanical properties directly when there are limited materials to facilitate standard specimens,which play a great role in the rapid measurement of mechanical properties and residual life assessment of in-service reactor components.Although tensile and fatigue properties of the small specimens are investigated extensively,theoretical models for describing the mechanical properties of small specimens need to be established.Here,we conduct a systematic investigation of tensile and fatigue properties of pure Cu specimens with thicknesses ranging from 3 to 0.2 mm.The results show that the decrease in uniform elongation of the 0.2 mm-thick specimens is mainly due to the efects of grain boundary and free surface on the strain hardening rate.A modifed theoretical model correlated with the ratio of the surface grain layer thickness to the grain size is proposed to predict variation in yield strength of the small specimens more accurately.Furthermore,the mechanism for the diference in fatigue life between the 0.2 mm-thick specimen and other thicker specimens is elucidated.The Basquin equation-based model is presented as a potential way to evaluate the fatigue life of metals using small specimens.Wen‑Ke Yang Zhu‑Man Song Xue‑Mei Luo Guang‑Ping Zhang 2023Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2023,36,1:0
