1Synthesis and properties of a Pr(III) complex with 2-acetyl- benzimidazoledehyde-glycine Schiff-base ligand显示文摘The 2-acetyl-benzimidazoledehyde-gly- cine Schiff-base ligand and the corresponding Pr(III) complex Pr2L3(NO3)3·2CH3OH (L=C11H10N3O2) were synthesized in methanol and characterized by a series of methods, including chemical analysis, elemental analysis, TOF-MS, 1H NMR, UV-, IR-, Raman spectra, thermal analysis, and the three-dimension fluores- cence excitation and emission spectra. The Pr(III) complex exhibits extraordinary water-solubility and the Pr(III) hydroxide appears at pH≥13. The complex also possesses specific fluorescent properties. 2Overexpression of LPCAT1 enhances endometrial cancer stemness and metastasis by changing lipid components and activating TGF-β/Smad2/3 signaling pathway显示文摘The incidence of endometrial cancer(EC)increases annually and tends to occur in younger women.A particularly important relationship exists between EC and metabolic disorders.As one of the most important components of lipid metabolism,phospholipids play an indispensable role in metabolic balance.LPCAT1 is a key enzyme regulating phospholipid metabolism.In this study,we perform further investigations to seek mechanistic insight of LPCAT1 in EC.Our results demonstrate that silencing of LPCAT1 inhibits the growth of endometrial cancer,while overexpression of LPCAT1 results in enhanced stemness and metastasis in endometrial cancer cell lines.Meanwhile,the contents of various phospholipids including phosphatidylethanolamine(PE),phosphatidylcholine(PC),and triglyceride(TG)change significantly after overexpression of LPCAT1.In addition,through RNA-sequencing and western blot analysis,we observe that the TGF-β/Smad2/3 signaling pathway is of great importance in the tumor-promoting function of LPCAT1.LPCAT1 promotes the expressions of stem cell-related transcription factors and epithelialmesenchymal transition(EMT)related proteins through the TGF-β/Smad2/3 signaling pathway.Moreover,we find that TSI-01,which can inhibit the activity of LPCAT1,is able to restrain the proliferation of EC cell lines and promote cell apoptosis.Collectively,we demonstrate that LPCAT1 enhances the stemness and metastasis of EC by activating the TGF-β/Smad2/3 signaling pathway and that TSI-01 may have potential use for the treatment of EC.Tianyi Zhao Rui Sun Xiaohong Ma Lina Wei Yixin Hou Kun Song Jie Jiang 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,7:2
3New Algorithm Rules Out Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure Development within 28 Days from Acute Decompensation of Cirrhosis显示文摘Background and Aims:Approximately 10%of patients with acute decompensated(AD)cirrhosis develop acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)within 28 days.Such cases have high mortality and are difficult to predict.Therefore,we aimed to establish and validate an algorithm to identify these patients on hospitalization.Methods:Hospitalized patients with AD who developed ACLF within 28 days were considered pre-ACLF.Organ dysfunction was defined accord-ing to the chronic liver failure-sequential organ failure as-sessment(CLIF-SOFA)criteria,and proven bacterial infec-tion was taken to indicate immune system dysfunction.A retrospective multicenter cohort and prospective one were used to derive and to validate the potential algorithm,re-spectively.A miss rate of<5%was acceptable for the calcu-lating algorithm to rule out pre-ACLF.Results:In the deri-vation cohort(n=673),46 patients developed ACLF within 28 days.Serum total bilirubin,creatinine,international normalized ratio,and present proven bacterial infection at admission were associated with the development of ACLF.AD patients with≥2 organ dysfunctions had a higher risk for pre-ACLF patients[odds ratio=16.58195%confidence interval:(4.271-64.363),p<0.001].In the derivation co-hort,67.5%of patients(454/673)had≤1 organ dysfunction and two patients(0.4%)were pre-ACLF,with a miss rate of 4.3%(missed/total,2/46).In the validation cohort,65.9%of patients(914/1388)had≤1 organ dysfunction,and four(0.3%)of them were pre-ACLF,with a miss rate of 3.4%(missed/total,4/117).Conclusions:AD patients with≤1 organ dysfunction had a significantly lower risk of developing ACLF within 28 days of admission and could be safely ruled out with a pre-ACLF miss rate of<5%.Xiaoting Tang Hai Li Guohong Deng Xin Zheng Xianbo Wang Yan Huang Yanhang Gao Zhongji Meng Zhiping Qian Feng Liu Xiaobo Lu Yu Shi Beiling Li Wenyi Gu Xiaomei Xiang Yan Xiong Yixin Hou Jun Chen Na Gao Sen Luo Liujuan Ji Jing Li Rongjiong Zheng Haotang Ren Jinjun Chen 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,3:1
4Dominant role of in situ native cartilage niche for determining the cartilage type regenerated by BMSCs显示文摘Tissue-engineered cartilage regeneration by bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs)is considered an ideal method.However,how to regulate BMSCs to regenerate specific types of cartilage remains unclear,which significantly limits its clinical translation and leads to suboptimal clinical effects.Herein,we systematically explored the role of native ear and articular cartilage niches on the differentiation fate of BMSCs and the type of regenerated cartilage.First,we prepared two types of acellular cartilage sheets(ACSs)and two types of chondrocytes.Then green fluorescent protein-labeled BMSCs were seeded on two types of ACSs with or without corresponding types of chondrocytes using a sandwich model and directed or cross-implanted them into native cartilage niches.After one year of in vivo culture,cell tracking and the results of histological results showed that the native cartilage niches were capable of regulating BMSCs regeneration into specific types of cartilage that were consistent with the cartilage types of the implanted sites.Furthermore,even when the type of niche formed by ACSs or the biomimetic cartilage niche constructed by specific types of ACSs and specific types of chondrocytes did not match with the native cartilage niche,the native cartilage niche continued to determine the type of cartilage regenerated by implanted BMSCs and chondrocytes.All our results provide sufficient evidence for specific types of cartilage regeneration using chondrogenic potential cells,such as mesenchymal stem cells and chondrocytes.Mengjie Hou Baoxing Tian Baoshuai Bai Zheng Ci Yu Liu Yixin Zhang Guangdong Zhou Yilin Cao 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,7:1

6LIFU-responsive nanomedicine enables acoustic droplet vaporization-induced apoptosis of macrophages for stabilizing vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques显示文摘Due to the high risk of tearing and rupture,vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques would induce serious cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.Despite the available clinical methods can evaluate the vulnerability of plaques and specifically treat vulnerable plaques before a cardiovascular event,but the efficiency is still low and undesirable.Herein,we rationally design and engineer the low-intensity focused ultrasound(LIFU)-responsive FPD@CD nanomedicine for the highly efficient treatment of vulnerable plaques by facilely loading phase transition agent perfluorohexane(PFH)into biocompatible PLGA-PEG-PLGA nanoparticles(PPP NPs)and then attaching dextran sulphate(DS)onto the surface of PPP NPs for targeting delivery.DS,as a typical macrophages-targeted molecule,can achieve the precise vaporization of NPs and subsequently controllable apoptosis of RAW 264.7 macrophages as induced by acoustic droplet vaporization(ADV)effect.In addition,the introduction of DiR and Fe3O4 endows nanomedicine with near-infrared fluorescence(NIRF)and magnetic resonance(MR)imaging capabilities.The engineered FPD@CD nanomedicine that uses macrophages as therapeutic targets achieve the conspicuous therapeutic effect of shrinking vulnerable plaques based on in vivo and in vitro evaluation outcomes.A reduction of 49.4%of vascular stenosis degree in gross pathology specimens were achieved throughout the treatment period.This specific,efficient and biosafe treatment modality potentiates the biomedical application in patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases based on the relief of the plaque rupture concerns.Jingxin Hou Jun Zhou Meiqi Chang Guangcheng Bao Jie Xu Man Ye Yixin Zhong Shuling Liu Junrui Wang Wei Zhang Haitao Ran Zhigang Wang Yu Chen Dajing Guo 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,10:1

12An Air‑Rechargeable Zn Battery Enabled by Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Cathode显示文摘Self-charging power systems collecting energy harvesting technology and batteries are attracting extensive attention.To solve the disadvantages of the traditional integrated system,such as highly dependent on energy supply and complex structure,an airrechargeable Zn battery based on MoS_(2)/PANI cathode is reported.Benefited from the excellent conductivity desolvation shield of PANI,the MoS_(2)/PANI cathode exhibits ultra-high capacity(304.98 mAh g^(−1) in N_(2) and 351.25 mAh g^(−1) in air).In particular,this battery has the ability to collect,convert and store energy simultaneously by an airrechargeable process of the spontaneous redox reaction between the discharged cathode and O2 from air.The air-rechargeable Zn batteries display a high open-circuit voltage(1.15 V),an unforgettable discharge capacity(316.09 mAh g^(−1) and the air-rechargeable depth is 89.99%)and good air-recharging stability(291.22 mAh g^(−1) after 50 air recharging/galvanostatic current discharge cycle).Most importantly,both our quasi-solid zinc ion batteries and batteries modules have excellent performance and practicability.This work will provide a promising research direction for the material design and device assembly of the next-generation self-powered system.Junjie Shi Ke Mao Qixiang Zhang Zunyu Liu Fei Long Li Wen Yixin Hou Xinliang Li Yanan Ma Yang Yue Luying Li Chunyi Zhi Yihua Gao 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,4:0
13Knowledge-Enhanced Bilingual Textual Representations for Cross-Lingual Semantic Textual Similarity显示文摘Joint learning of words and entities is advantageous to various NLP tasks, while most of the works focus on single language setting. Cross-lingual representations learning receives high attention recently, but is still restricted by the availability of parallel data. In this paper, a method is proposed to jointly embed texts and entities on comparable data. In addition to evaluate on public semantic textual similarity datasets, a task (cross-lingual text extraction) was proposed to assess the similarities between texts and contribute to this dataset.
