| 1 | Multifunctional superhydrophobic coatings fabricated from basalt scales on a fluorocarbon coating base显示文摘Superhydrophobic coatings are increasingly being evaluated as anticorrosion interventions in exceedingly hydrated environments.However,concerns about their long-term durability and amenability to large-area applications in marine environments are still hindering commercial-scale deployment.This study is focused on development of easy-to-apply superhydrophobic coatings,with multifunctional capabilities,in order to extend the integrity and durability of the coatings in harsh marine environments.Here,a set of facile methods involving selective chemical etching using concentrated Na OH,as well as fluorination with perfluoropolyether methyl ester were adopted to fabricate a superhydrophobic surface on basalt scales,having the required rough hierarchical micro-nanotextured and low surface energy.The superhydrophobic basalt scales were subsequently aligned atop a fluorocarbon resin,pre-deposited on a metal substrate,to yield a multifunctional superhydrophobic coating(3μL water droplet;contact angle=165.1°,rolling angle=0.7°),easily amenable to large surface area application and having excellent wear resistance,UV-aging resistance,salt spray resistance,corrosion resistance and antibacterial capabilities. | Hongpeng Zheng Li Liu Fandi Meng Yu Cui Zhong Li Emeka E.Oguzie Fuhui Wang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,25: | 8 |
| 2 | Structural Surface Crack Monitoring Method Based on Electrical Potential Technique and Modern Surface Technology显示文摘Crack monitoring plays a great role in modern structural health monitoring, however, most of the conventional crack inspections have disadvantages in terms of the accuracy, expense, reliability, durability and level of instrumentation required. Thus, development of a simple and reliable crack inspection technique that allows continuous monitoring has been desired. In this paper, electrical potential technique and modern surface technology are employed together to develop a new structural surface crack monitoring method. A special crack monitoring coating sensor based on electrical potential technique was deposited on the hot spot of the structure by modern surface technology. The sensor consists of three layers: the isolated layer, the sensing layer and the protective layer. The isolated layer is prepared by anodic oxidation technology, the sensing layer is made of ion plated copper, and the protective layer is made of silicone. The thickness of each layer is at micrometer magnitude. The electrical conductivity of the sensor is very stable, and the fatigue performance of the specimen with or without coating sensor is nearly unchanged. The crack monitoring experiment result shows that there are two sudden rises of the coating sensor electrical potential values, corresponding to different stages of the crack initiation and propagation. Since the width of the surface coating sensor is only 0.5 mm, this crack monitoring sensor can detect the propagation of cracks less than 0.5 mm long. The method proposed takes the simplicity of electrical potential technique and can monitor surface crack of nearly all kinds of structures precisely. | 14 | A 3-DOF piezoelectric robot with continuous walking gait aiming at cross-scale smooth motion显示文摘Piezoelectric robots play important roles in the field of micromanipulation, but it is difficult for them to generate steady precision motion at any moment. In order to eliminate the changing inertial force and improve the motion smoothness, this work proposes a piezoelectric robot with continuous walking gait inspired by ants. The idea is verified with theoretical models and numerical simulation, and the performances are evaluated with experiments. The robot is proven to have the ability to generate 3-DOF(dgeree of freedom) continuous smooth motions with constant speeds. The maximum and minimum smooth velocities have a difference of six orders of magnitude, realizing cross-scale velocity control. Besides, the motion resolution reaches several nanometers with the unlimited workspace, so the cross-scale displacement control can be also obtained. Furthermore, with great robustness against varying loads, the stable actuation capability of the robot is more than 22 times of the self-weight. To sum up,the proposed robot generates cross-scale smooth motion in both aspects of displacement and velocity, so it has good prospects in the applications requiring steady precision motion. | 15 | Parameter optimization and experiment of the negative pressure precision seed-metering device for wheat显示文摘In order to ensure the most reasonable distribution of wheat seeds in the field to improve seeding quality and uniformity,a set of negative pressure precision seed-metering device was designed,which shares a hollow shaft.Every seed-metering device can sow two rows of wheat.By the STAR-CCM+,the analysis of nephogram,vectogram and streamline graph showed that more ideal structural parameters of the seed-metering device are 0.5 mm width of the slit sucking seed(WSS),150-200 mm diameter of the seed-metering disc(DSD),2.0 mm axial depth of air chamber in the seed-metering disc(ADS),and arc-shaped cross-section shape of the ring groove sucking seed(CSGS).Single-factor test on the JPS-12 test-bed analyzed the influence of the CSGS,WSS,DSD,and ADS on the qualified index(Iq),multiple index(Imul),miss index(Imiss)and coefficient of variation of qualified seed spacing(CV).Through the orthogonal on the JPS-12 test-bed,it is found that the influence of vacuum negative pressure and seed-metering device shaft speed is significant on the Iq,Imiss and Imul.Based on these,the structural parameters of the seed-metering device were optimized.The DSD is 180 mm,the WSS is 0.7 mm,the ADS is 2.5 mm,and the CSGS is arc-shaped.The optimization seed-metering device was tested on the JPS-12 test-bed.The Iq is 86.66%,the Imiss is 5.09%,the Imul is 8.25%,and the CV is 24.50%.These testing results fully coincide with the standard JB/T 10293-2013 Specifications of single seed drill(precision drill).The seed-metering device meets fully the requirements for wheat precision seeding. | Yubo Feng Xiaoshun Zhao Jincai Li Huali Yu Hongpeng Zhao Baozhong Yin | 2024 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2024,17,1: | 0 |
| 16 | Effect of annealing treatment on the performance of organic photovoltaic devices using SPFGraphene as electron-accepter material显示文摘We have researched the performances of organic photovoltaic devices with the bulk heterojunction (BHJ) structure using the organic solution-processable functionalized graphene (SPFGraphene) material as the electron-accepter material and P3OT as the donor material. The structural configuration of the device is ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3OT:PCBM-SPFGraphene/LiF/Al. Given the P3OT/PCBM (1:1) mixture with 8wt% of SPFGraphene, the open-circuit voltage (Voc) of the device reaches 0.64 V, a short-circuit current density (Jsc) reaches 5.7 mA/cm2, a fill factor (FF) reaches 0.42, and the power conversion efficiency ( ) reaches 1.53% at illumination at 100 mW/cm2 AM1.5. We further studied the reason for the device performances improvement. In the P3OT:PCBM-SPFGraphene composite, the SPFGraphene material acts as exciton dissociation sites and provides the transport pathways of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO)-SPFGraphene-Al. Furthermore, adding SPFGraphene to P3OT results in appropriate energetic distance between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and LUMO of the donor/acceptor and provides higher exciton dissociation volume mobility of carrier transport. We have researched the effect of annealing treatment for the devices and found that the devices with annealing treatment at 180°C show better performances compared with devices without annealed treatment.
