2Metaverse:Perspectives from graphics,interactions and visualization显示文摘The metaverse is a visual world that blends the physical world and digital world.At present,the development of the metaverse is still in the early stage,and there lacks a framework for the visual construction and exploration of the metaverse.In this paper,we propose a framework that summarizes how graphics,interaction,and visualization techniques support the visual construction of the metaverse and user-centric exploration.We introduce three kinds of visual elements that compose the metaverse and the two graphical construction methods in a pipeline.We propose a taxonomy of interaction technologies based on interaction tasks,user actions,feedback and various sensory channels,and a taxonomy of visualization techniques that assist user awareness.Current potential applications and future opportunities are discussed in the context of visual construction and exploration of the metaverse.We hope this paper can provide a stepping stone for further research in the area of graphics,interaction and visualization in the metaverse.Yuheng Zhao Jinjing Jiang Yi Chen Richen Liu Yalong Yang Xiangyang Xue Siming Chen 2022Visual Informatics2022,6,1:10
3U-Pb zircon geochronology, geochemistry and kinetics of the Huaniushan A-type granite in Northwest China显示文摘The Huaniushan granite is located at the Beishan orogenic belt, northwestern China. At the contact zone between the granite and marble, a hydrothermal Pb-Zn and skarn Au deposit is formed. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating yielded a weighted mean 206Pb/238U age of 229.5±2.6 Ma (MSDW=0.93) for the Huaniushan granite, imply-ing its Late Triassic intrusion. Geochemistry analyses show that the Huaniushan granite is enriched in Si, K, Na, and REE, and depleted in Mg and Ca, with contents of SiO2 (70.8% to 74.4%), Na2O+K2O (8.8% to 10.2%), CaO (0.93% to 1.44%), and MgO (0.14% to 0.48%). REE is characterized by obvious negative Eu anomaly. Rb, Th, U, K, Pb, Nb, Zr and Hf elements are rich in the granite while Ba, Sr, P, Ti and Eu are deplete. The granite has a high (Zr+Nb+Ce+Y) abundance and 104 Ga/Al ratios. Petrology, major and trace elements data all indicate that the Hua-niushan granite is A-type granite which intruded in a post-collisional extensional tectonic setting. The magma was dominantly sourced from partial melting of crustal intermediate-felsic igneous rocks. 4Low-strain TiP_(2)O_(7) withthree-dimensionalionchannelsas long-life and high-rate anode material for Mg-ion batteries显示文摘Rechargeable magnesium batteries are identified as a promising next-generation energy storage system,but their development is hindered by the anode−electrolyte−cathode incompatibilities and passivation of magnesium metal anode.To avoid or alleviate these problems,the exploitation of alternative anode materials is a promising choice.Herein,we present titanium pyrophosphate(TiP_(2)O_(7))as anode materials for magnesium-ion batteries(MIBs)and investigate the effect of the crystal phase on its magnesium storage performance.Compared with the me-tastable layered TiP_(2)O_(7),the thermodynamically stable cubic TiP_(2)O_(7) displays a better rate capability of 72 mAh g^(−1) at 5000 mA g^(−1).Moreover,cubic TiP_(2)O_(7) exhibits excellent cycling stability with the capacity of 60 mAh g^(−1) after 5000 cycles at 1000 mA g^(−1),which are better than pre-viously reported Ti-based anode materials for MIBs.In situ X-ray diffraction technology confirms the single-phase magnesiumion inter-calation/deintercalation reaction mechanism of cubic TiP_(2)O_(7) with a low volume change of 3.2%.In addition,the density functional theory calcu-lation results demonstrate that three-dimensional magnesiumion diffu-sion can be allowed in cubic TiP_(2)O_(7) with a low migration energy barrier of 0.62 eV.Our work demonstrates the promise of TiP_(2)O_(7) as high-rate and long-life anode materials for MIBs and may pave the way for further development of MIBs.Fangyu Xiong Yalong Jiang Li Cheng Ruohan Yu Shuangshuang Tan Chen Tang Chunli Zuo Qinyou An Yunlong Zhao Jean-Jacques Gaumet Liqiang Mai 2022Interdisciplinary Materials2022,1,1:3
5An improved method of absolute calibration to satellite altimeter: A case study in the Yellow Sea, China显示文摘An improved absolute calibration technology based on indirect measurements was developed through two probative experiments, the performance of which was evaluated by applying the approach to in situ sea surface height(SSH) at the Tianheng Island(tidal gauge) and the satellite nadir(GPS buoy). Using Geoid/MSS(mean sea surface) data, which accounted for a constant offset between nadir and onshore tidal gauge water levels, and TMD(tidal model driver), which canceled out the time-varying offsets, nadir SSH(sea surface height) could be indirectly acquired at an onshore tidal gauge instead of from direct offshore observation. 6Cross-species single-cell transcriptomic analysis reveals divergence of cell composition and functions in mammalian ileum epithelium显示文摘Animal models are widely used for biomedical studies and drug evaluation.The small intestine plays key roles in nutrient absorption,hormone secretion,microbiota defense and drug absorption and metabolism.Although the intestinal structure of mammals is conserved,the differences on epithelial cell composition,functional assignments and drug absorption among mammals are largely unknown.Here,cross-species analysis of single-cell transcriptomic atlas of the ileum epithelium from mouse,rat,pig,macaque and human reveals the conserved and differential cell types and functions among species,identifies a new CA7+cell type in pig,macaque and human ileum,uncovers the distinct expression pattern in enterocytes,enteroendocrine cells and Paneth cells,and defines the conserved and species-specific intestinal stem cell signature genes.The examination of drug absorption across species suggests that drug metabolism in mouse ileum is closer to human while drug transport in macaque ileum is more similar to human.Together,our data provide the comprehensive information about cell composition and functional assignments in five species,and offer the valuable guidance for animal model selection and drug testing.Haonan Li Xiaodan Wang Yalong Wang Mengxian Zhang Fan Hong Hong Wang Along Cui Jianguo Zhao Weizhi Ji Ye-Guang Chen 2022Cell Regeneration2022,11,1:2

8Origin of the springtime South China Sea Warm Current in the southwestern Taiwan Strait: Evidence from seawater oxygen isotope显示文摘Oxygen isotope(δ^18O)of seawater is an excellent proxy for tracing the origins of water masses and their mixing processes.Combining with hydrographic observation,hybrid coordinate ocean model(HYCOM)analysis data,and seawater oxygen isotope,we investigated the source of the South China Sea Warm Current(SCSWC)in the southwestern Taiwan Strait and its underlying mechanism.Results show that the Kuroshio subsurface water(KSSW)can intrude the continental slope in the southwestern Taiwan Strait,and thereby climb up the continental slope coupled with upwelling.Theδ^18O-salinity relationship further indicates that in spring,the SCSWC in the southwestern Taiwan Strait originates from the upslope deflection of the slope current formed by the KSSW intrusion into the South China Sea,rather than from the west segment of the SCSWC formed to the east of Hainan Island.In addition,the southward flowing Zhe-Min Coastal Current(ZMCC)can reach as far as the Taiwan Bank(TB)and deflects offshore over the western TB at approximately 23.5°N,to some extent affecting the SCSWC.Moreover,this study reveals that seawaterδ^18O is exquisitely sensitive to the determination of the origin and transport of water masses as compared with traditional potential temperature-salinity plot(θ-S)and HYCOM analysis data.In addition,their coupling can more reliably interpret the mixing processes of shelf water masses.Dongyu CHEN Ergang LIAN Yeqiang SHU Shouye YANG Yalong LI Chao LI Pengfei LIU Ni SU 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,10:2
9Serrated lithium fluoride nanofibers-woven interlayer enables uniform lithium deposition for lithium-metal batteries显示文摘The uncontrollable formation of Li dendrites has become the biggest obstacle to the practical application of Li-metal anodes in high-energy rechargeable Li batteries.Herein,a unique LiF interlayer woven by millimeter-level,single-crystal and serrated LiF nanofibers(NFs)was designed to enable dendrite-free and highly efficient Li-metal deposition.This high-conductivity Li F interlayer can increase the Li^(+)transference number and induce the formation of’Li F–NFs-rich’solid–electrolyte interface(SEI).In the’Li F–NFs-rich’SEI,the ultra-long Li F nanofibers provide a continuously interfacial Li^(+)transport path.Moreover,the formed Li–LiF interface between Li-metal and SEI film renders low Li nucleation and high Li^(+)migration energy barriers,leading to uniform Li plating and stripping processes.As a result,steady charge–discharge in a Li//Li symmetrical cell for 1600 h under 4 m Ah cm^(-2)and 400 stable cycles under a high area capacity of 5.65 mAh cm^(-2)in a high-loading Li//rGO–S cell at 17.9 mA cm^(-2)could be achieved.The free-standing LiF–NFs interlayer exhibits superior advantages for commercial Li batteries and displays significant potential for expanding the applications in solid Li batteries.Shuangshuang Tan Yalong Jiang Shuyan Ni Hao Wang Fangyu Xiong Lianmeng Cui Xuelei Pan Chen Tang Yaoguang Rong Qinyou An Liqiang Mai 2022National Science Review2022,9,11:2

11Bit-Level Composite Signal Design for Simultaneous Ranging and Communication显示文摘As the complexity of space exploration missions augments,how to enhance the overall performance of communication,ranging or other functions has become a challengeable problem.Considering the integration of communication and ranging,we present a bit-level composite signal for simultaneous ranging and communication.In this composite method,through a specially designed mapping scheme using low-weight codewords,the information sequence is converted to a sparse sequence which is then superimposed on the ranging code.For ranging,the correlation characteristics of the ranging code component can be maintained to calculate the transmitter-receiver distance.For communications,the sparse sequence can be extracted without interference by eliminating the ranging code component.Simulation results show that the proposed composite signal can support communication and ranging simultaneously with limited sacrifice of ranging performance,and the performance loss of ranging can be controlled and minimized by lowering the density of information sequences using different sparsification encoding methods.Weigang Chen Yalong He Changcai Han Jinsheng Yang Zhan Xu 2021China Communications2021,18,6:1
12Coordinated regulation of BACH1 and mitochondrial metabolism through tumor-targeted self-assembled nanoparticles for effective triple negative breast cancer combination therapy显示文摘The poor prognosis of triple negative breast cancer(TNBC)results from a lack of approved targeted therapies coupled with aggressive proliferation and metastasis,which is associated with high recurrence and short overall survival.Here we developed a strategy by employing tumor-targeted selfassembled nanoparticles to coordinately regulate BACH1(BTB domain and CNC homology 1)and mitochondrial metabolism.The BACH1 inhibitor hemin and mitochondria function inhibitor berberine derivative(BD)were used to prepare nanoparticles(BH NPs)followed by the modification of chondroitin sulfate(CS)on the surface of BH NPs to achieve tumor targeting(CS/BH NPs).CS/BH NPs were found to be able to inhibit tumor migration and invasion by significantly decreasing the amounts of tumor cell metabolites,glycolysis and metastasis-associated proteins,which were related to the inhibition of BACH1 function.Meanwhile,decreased mitochondrial membrane potential,activated caspase 3/9 and increased ROS production demonstrated coordinated regulation of BACH1 and mitochondrial metabolism.In a xenograft mice model of breast cancer,CS/BH NPs significantly inhibited tumor growth and metastasis due to the synergetic effect of hemin and BD without showing obvious toxicities for major organs.In sum,the results of efficacy and safety experiments suggest potential clinical significance of the prepared self-assembled CS/BH nanoparticles for the treatment of TNBC.Xuan Yang Yalong Wang Junke Zhao Hehui Rong Yujun Chen Mengting Xiong Xiaoxing Ye Shihui Yu Haiyan Hu 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,10:1
13Glycolytic potential enhanced by blockade of pyruvate influx into mitochondria sensitizes prostate cancer to detection and radiotherapy显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the effects of mitochondrial pyruvate carrier(MPC)blockade on the sensitivity of detection and radiotherapy of prostate cancer(PCa).Methods:We investigated glycolysis reprogramming and MPC changes in patients with PCa by using metabolic profiling,RNASeq,and tissue microarrays.Transient blockade of pyruvate influx into mitochondria was observed in cellular studies to detect its different effects on prostate carcinoma cells and benign prostate cells.Xenograft mouse models were injected with an MPC inhibitor to evaluate the sensitivity of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography with computed tomography and radiotherapy of PCa.Furthermore,the molecular mechanism of this different effect of transient blockage towards benign prostate cells and prostate cancer cells was studied in vitro.Results:MPC was elevated in PCa tissue compared with benign prostate tissue,but decreased during cancer progression.The transient blockade increased PCa cell proliferation while decreasing benign prostate cell proliferation,thus increasing the sensitivity of PCa cells to 18F-PET/CT(SUVavg,P=0.016;SUVmax,P=0.03)and radiotherapy(P<0.01).This differential effect of MPC on PCa and benign prostate cells was dependent on regulation by a VDAC1-MPC-mitochondrial homeostasis-glycolysis pathway.Conclusions:Blockade of pyruvate influx into mitochondria increased glycolysis levels in PCa but not in non-carcinoma prostate tissue.This transient blockage sensitized PCa to both detection and radiotherapy,thus indicating that glycolytic potential is a novel mechanism underlying PCa progression.The change in the mitochondrial pyruvate influx caused by transient MPC blockade provides a critical target for PCa diagnosis and treatment.Huan Xu Junyi Chen Zhi Cao Xi Chen Caihong Huang Jin Ji Yalong Xu Junfeng Jiang Yue Wang Guowang Xu Lina Zhou Jingyi He Xuedong Wei Jason Boyang Wu Zhong Wang Shancheng Ren Fubo Wang 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,9:1

15Analysis of coast-by noise of heavy truck tires显示文摘Heavy truck tires are one of the main sources of road traffic noise.However,the mechanism and propagation of the noise generated by these tires have not been systematically investigated.To determine the noise of heavy truck tires with different structures and patterns,and to analyze the correlation between the indoor tire noise and coast-by tire noise,an integrated tire indoor noise test and a coast-by noise test were designed and successfully implemented.The indoor test was conducted on a drum inside a semianechoic chamber to simultaneously measure the near field and far field noise of the tires.The outdoor measurements were carried out using a coast-by test on the new ISO 10844 surface.A formula for quantitative analysis with appropriate corrections was developed to analyze the data with reasonable errors,which can be used to predict the coast-by noise through the indoor tire noise test accurately and effectively.The analysis shows that when trying to build the relationship between indoor and outdoor heavy truck tire noise,care should be taken to differentiate the tires with a load capacity index in excess of 121 and without any dual fitting indication from ordinary tires,due to the specified test procedure.Yintao Wei Yongbao Yang Yalong Chen Hao Wang Dabing Xiang zhichao Li 2016Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2016,3,2:1

17Structural limiting factors of mixed-valent tin oxides in photoelectrochemical application:A comparative exploration显示文摘Photoelectrocatalytic(PEC)materials for harvesting solar energy can be discovered from existing photocatalytic semiconductors.Nonetheless,mixed valence tin oxides,a group of widely reported visible light active photocatalysts,can hardly be developed into efficient PEC photoelectrodes.To overcome this difficulty by clarifying its origin,two typical mixed valence tin oxides,Sn^(2+):SnO_(2) microrods and porous Sn_(3)O_(4) particles were deliberately prepared as the models.Sn^(2+):SnO_(2) microrods of less porosity exhibited a photocurrent over ten times higher than Sn_(3)O_(4) particles.Photo-electrochemical impedance spectroscopy revealed this was due to their charge kinetics difference,specifically the internal transport/-transfer responding to the morphology.Moreover,hydroxyl residuals from synthesis were found to be very inhibitive for the PEC efficiency as well,which was in coherence with our TGA and Raman spectroscopic study.These finding experimentally proved the necessity of reconsidering the surface area,crystallinity,and defects when developing photocatalysts into efficient PEC structures.Yalong Zou Deyu Liu Xiangrui Meng Qitao Liu Yang Zhou Jianming Li Zhiying Zhao Ding Chen Yongbo Kuang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5:0

20Understanding the roles of carbon in carbon/g-C_(3)N_(4)based photocatalysts for H2 evolution显示文摘Coupling graphitic carbon nitride(CN)with carbonaceous materials is an effective strategy to improve photocatalytic performance,but the contributions of carbonaceous materials are not fully understood.Herein,a new type of carbon/CN(CCN)complex photocatalyst is synthesized with a 6-fold enhancement of H2 evolution rate compared to that of pristine CN.The role of carbon in photocatalytic H2 evolution reaction is systemically studied and it is experimentally and theoretically revealed that carbon mainly contributes to the improved capability of exciton dissociation and enhanced electric conductivity for charge transfer,leading to an increased population of photo-carriers for photocatalytic reactions.Interestingly,the enhanced light absorption originated from carbon barely generates charge carriers for H2 evolution activity.These new findings will inspire the rational design of carbon-based photocatalysts for efficient solar fuel production.Mu Xiao Yalong Jiao Bin Luo Songcan Wang Peng Chen Miaoqiang Lyu Aijun Du Lianzhou Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0
