1Prevalence of clonorchiasis in patients with gastrointestinal disease: A Korean nationwide multicenter survey显示文摘AIM: To investigate prevalence of Clonorchis sinensis in patients with gastrointestinal symptoms, and the relation of the infection to hepatobiliary diseases in 26 hospitals in Korea.METHODS: Consecutive patients who had been admitted to the Division of Gastroenterology with gastrointestinal symptoms were enrolled from March to April 2005. Of those who had been diagnosed with clonorchiasis, epidemiology and correlation between infection and hepatobiliary diseases were surveyed by questionnaire.RESULTS: Of 3080 patients with gastrointestinal diseases, 396 (12.9%) had clonorchiasis and 1140 patients (37.2%) had a history of eating raw freshwater fish. Of those with a history of raw freshwater fish ingestion, 238 (20.9%) patients had clonorchiasis. Cholangiocarcinoma was more prevalent in C. sinensis-infected patients than non-infected patients [34/396 (8.6%) vs 145/2684 (5.4%), P = 0.015]. Cholangiocarcinoma and clonorchiasis showed statistically significant positive cross-relation (P = 0.008). Choledocholithiasis, cholecystolithiasis, cholangitis, hepatocellular carcinoma, and biliary pancreatitis did not correlate with clonorchiasis.CONCLUSION: Infection rate of clonorchiasis was still high in patients with gastrointestinal diseases in Korea, and has not decreased very much during the last two decades. 3Pedogenic carbonate isotope record of vegetational evolution since late Miocene in Loess Plateau显示文摘lsotopic analyses for paleovegetational evolution have been carried out on samples of the pedogenic carbonate nodules in the Red Clay-Loess sequence at Lingtai (35°N), the Loess Plateau. Stable carbon isotopic composition indicates that ( ⅰ ) C4 plants might be present at least by7.0 Ma; ( ⅱ ) C4 plants expanded gradually between ~4.0 and ~3.2 Ma, and their biomass fraction was up to 50%; and ( ⅲ ) the biomass of C4 vegetation since ~2.0 Ma seems to have been decreased to the level (about 20%) before 4.0 Ma. C4 plant expansion at Lingtai cannot be fully understood with the 'global C4 expansion' model because it occurred much later up to 3.0 Ma than in Pakistan, which indicates that some changes in the regional climatic system may also contribute to C3/C4 shift except changes in atmospheric CO2 concentrations and temperature. 4Active sites in CO2 hydrogenation over confined VOx-Rh catalysts显示文摘Metal oxide-promoted Rh-based catalysts have been widely used for CO2 hydrogenation,especially for the ethanol synthesis.However,this reaction usually suffers low CO2 conversion and alcohols selectivity due to the formation of byproducts methane and CO.This paper describes an efficient vanadium oxide promoted Rh-based catalysts confined in mesopore MCM-41.The Rh-0.3VO/MCM-41 catalyst shows superior conversion(〜12%)and ethanol selectivity(〜24%)for CO2 hydrogenation.The promoting effect can be attributed to the synergism of high Rh dispersion by the confinement effect of MCM-41 and the formation of VOr-Rh interface sites.Experimental and theoretical results indicate the formation of til-CO at VOv-Rh interface sites is easily dissociated into*CH X,and then*CH X can be inserted by CO to form CH3,*CO followed by CH3*CO hydrogenation to ethanol.Guishuo Wang Ran Luo Chengsheng Yang Jimin Song Chuanye Xiong Hao Tian Zhi-Jian Zhao Rentao Mu Jinlong Gong 2019Science China Chemistry2019,62,12:4
52-Ethyl-9,10-anthraquinone assisted sol–gel synthesis of Pd/γ-Al2O3 nanorods with enhanced catalytic performance in 2-ethyl-9,10-anthraquinone hydrogenation显示文摘A series of nanorod-like porous Pd/γ-Al2 O3 catalysts with controllable textural properties and enhanced catalytic performance in 2-ethyl-9,10-anthraquinone(eAQ) hydrogenation for H2 O2 preparation were successfully prepared via a facile sol-gel method using aluminum isopropoxide as aluminum precursor and eAQ as structure directing agent,sequential calcination and impregnation process with Na2 PdCl4 solution.The physicochemical properties of the catalysts obtained with different addition amounts of eAQ.were comparatively characterized by XRD,TG-DSC,BET,TEM,CO-TPR,H2-TPR and H2-O2 titration.The results show that addition of eAQ can not only effectively control the textural properties(surface area,pore volume and average pore size) of the catalysts,but also lower their reduction temperature of active metal.Importantly,the catalyst obtained with an addition amount of 4 wt% eAQ shows the highest hydrogenation efficiency of 10.28 g·L^-1,which is 37.3% higher than 7.49 g·L^-1 of the catalyst obtained without eAQ.Weiquan Cai Junlin Zhuo Jimin Fang Zhichao Yang 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,8:4

7First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). 10Theoretical Mechanistic Studies of Rh-Catalyzed c(sp^3)-H Amination:A Comparison with Co Analogue and Metal Effects显示文摘of main observation and conclusion The mechanism of Rh-catalyzed C(sp^3)—H amination has been computationally investigated.The reaction mechanism mainly involves sequential C(sp^3)—H activation,decarboxylation,nitrene migration insertion,and protonation steps.Competitive concerted metalation deprotonation(CMD)and external base assisted deprotonation(EBAD)pathways are found for the involved C(sp^3)—H activation in both Rh and Co analogous systems.This is different from the previously reported C(sp^2)—H activation,where the CMD is dominant.The key mechanistic difference between the two systems is found to be in the C(sp^3)—H activation step.In comparison with Rh species,the lower activity of Co complex toward the C(sp^3)—H activation could be ascribed to smaller atomic size of Co and thus larger steric repulsion between ancillary ligand and substrate along with the CMD pathway.In view of the EBAD pathway,however,the lower activity of Co species could be imputed to the triplet nature of Co center,which is against the electron transfer from the electron-rich carbon atom of the deprotonating C(sp^3)—H bond to the Co center.As to the subsequent decarboxylation and nitrene insertion steps,compared with the Co system,the relatively lower reactivity of Rh species is partially due to the stronger Rh—N bond,and the higher Ti(Rh—N)and n^*(Rh—N)orbital energies of the corresponding transition state structure.Yang Yu Gen Luo Jimin Yang Yi Luo 2020Chinese Journal of Chemistry2020,38,12:2
11The toxicity of hydroxylated and carboxylated multi-walled carbon nanotubes to human endothelial cells was not exacerbated by ER stress inducer显示文摘Hydroxylated multi-walled carbon nanotubes(h-MWCNTs) and carboxylated MWCNTs(c-MWCNTs)have potential applications in biomedicine, but their toxicity to human endothelial cells under stressed conditions associated with chronic diseases was less studied in vitro. This study stressed human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs) with ER stress inducer thapsigargin(TG), and investigated the toxicity of h-MWCNTs and c-MWCNTs to normal and stressed HUVECs. h-MWCNTs and c-MWCNTs modestly reduced cellular viability, significantly promoted soluble ICAM-1(sICAM-1),soluble VCAM-1(sVCAM-1) as well as intracellular ROS, and decreased the expression of transcription factor KLF2 and KLF4. Pre-treatment with TG significantly reduced cellular viability, promoted IL-6 and THP-1 monocyte adhesion, and increased the expression of a panel of ER stress genes. ANOVA indicated no interaction between MWCNTs and TG pre-treatment on most of the endpoints. 17Highly photostable nanogels for fluorescence-based theranostics显示文摘A novel photo-crosslinkable nanogel is prepared from a biodegradable polymer template with intrinsic photoluminescence and high photostability.The fluorescent nanogels display excellent biodegradability and cytocompatibility owed to the facile synthesis scheme involving a solvent-and surfactant-free onepot reaction,derived entirely from biocompatible monomers citric acid,maleic acid,L-cysteine,and poly(ethylene glycol).The resultant nanogels are less than 200 nm in diameter with a narrow size distribution and monodispersity,and demonstrate long-term structural stability in biological buffer for two weeks.To gauge potential in theranostic applications,the fluorescent nanogels were surface functionalized with biologically active RGD peptides and encapsulated with active anti-cancer drug Doxorubicin,resulting in a pH-responsive controlled drug release in acidic pH resembling tumor environments.The strong fluorescence of the nanogels enabled tracking of targeted drug delivery,showing that drug-loaded nanogels homed into the cytoplasmic regions of prostate cancer cells to significantly induce cell death.These photo-crosslinkable and biodegradable nanogels pose as a strong candidate for theranostic medicine,demonstrating versatile functionalization,high stability in biological buffers,and capacity for real-time fluorescence-based monitoring of targeted drug delivery.Dipendra Gyawali Jimin P.Kim Jian Yang 2018Bioactive Materials2018,3,1:1
