| 1 | Exosomes as therapeutic drug carriers and delivery vehicles across biological membranes:current perspectives and future challenges显示文摘Exosomes are small intracellular membrane-based vesicles with different compositions that are involved in several biological and pathological processes. The exploitation of exosomes as drug delivery vehicles offers important advantages compared to other nanoparticulate drug delivery systems such as liposomes and polymeric nanoparticles; exosomes are non-immunogenic in nature due to similar composition as body's own cells. In this article, the origin and structure of exosomes as well as their biological functions are outlined. We will then focus on specific applications of exosomes as drug delivery systems in pharmaceutical drug development. | 2 | Design and experiment on intelligent fuzzy monitoring system for corn planters显示文摘When sowing summer corn without tillage,it is necessary to ensure that the furrow opener is free from straw congestion and that the spacing of the sowing can be adjusted according to the breeds of corn and the preset seeding rate per acre.On the basis of the structural features of newly developed no-tillage corn fertilizers,an intelligent fuzzy monitoring system for corn planters was developed in this study.The system facilitates automatic control of the spacing adjustment and the status monitor for the fertilizer tank,seed tank,and seeding orifice.According to the preset number of rows,line spacing,number of plants per acre,and seed germination rate,the control rate can be calculated through designing in surveillance software.The control rate is output to the fuzzy controller through the digital output module of the CAN bus.Fuzzy control is applied to the DC motor for stepless adjustment of the spacing.A system for video surveillance of the working status of a planter is developed for displaying a real-time video image of the planter operation and achieving an anti-congestion status monitoring of a no-tillage planting operation in a dusty environment.Through field trials,the detection accuracy was 91.4%.The seed-clogging fault-alarm accuracy was 96.0%.The entire system remained stable and reliable. | Du Ruicheng Gong Bingcai Liu Ningning Wang Chenchen Yang Zidong Ma Mingjian | 2013 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2013,6,3: | 16 |

| 4 | Effects of Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation products on performance and rumen fermentation and microbiota in dairy cows fed a diet containing low quality forage显示文摘Background: A possible option to meet the increased demand of forage for dairy industry is to use the agricultural byproducts, such as corn stover. However, nutritional value of crop residues is low and we have been seeking technologies to improve the value. A feeding trial was performed to evaluate the effects of four levels of Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation product(SCFP; Original XP; Diamond V) on lactation performance and rumen fermentation in mid-lactation Holstein dairy cows fed a diet containing low-quality forage. Eighty dairy cows were randomly assigned into one of four treatments: basal diet supplemented with 0, 60, 120, or 180 g/d of SCFP per head mixed with 180, 120, 60, or 0 g of corn meal, respectively. The experiment lasted for 10 wks, with the first 2 weeks for adaptation.Results: Dry matter intake was found to be similar(P > 0.05) among the treatments. There was an increasing trend in milk production(linear, P ≤ 0.10) with the increasing level of SCFP supplementation, with no effects on contents of milk components(P > 0.05). Supplementation of SCFP linearly increased(P < 0.05) the N conversion, without affecting rumen pH and ammonia-N(P > 0.05). Increasing level of SCFP linearly increased(P < 0.05) concentrations of ruminal total volatile fatty acids, acetate, propionate, and butyrate, with no difference in molar proportion of individual acids(P > 0.05). The population of fungi and certain cel ulolytic bacteria(Ruminococcus albus, R. flavefaciens and Fibrobacter succinogenes)increased linearly(P < 0.05) but those of lactate-utilizing(Selenomonas ruminantium and Megasphaera elsdeni) and lactate-producing bacteria(Streptococcus bovis) decreased linearly(P ≤ 0.01) with increasing level of SCFP. The urinary purine derivatives increased linearly(P < 0.05) in response to SCFP supplementation, indicating that SCFP supplementation may benefit for microbial protein synthesis in the rumen.Conclusions: The SCFP supplementation was effective in maintaining milk persistency of mid-lactation cows receiving diets containing low-quality forage. The beneficial effect of SCFP could be attributed to improved rumen function; 1)microbial population shift toward greater rumen fermentation efficiency indicated by higher rumen fungi and cel ulolytic bacteria and lower lactate producing bacteria, and 2) rumen microbial fermentation toward greater supply of energy and protein indicated by greater ruminal VFA concentration and increased N conversion. | 5 | Q-switching of waveguide lasers based on graphene/WS_2 van der Waals heterostructure显示文摘We report on the operation of passively Q-switched waveguide lasers at 1 μm wavelength based on a graphene∕WS_2 heterostructure as a saturable absorber(SA). The gain medium is a crystalline Nd:YVO_4 cladding waveguide produced by femtosecond laser writing. The nanosecond waveguide laser operation at 1064 nm has been realized with the maximum average output power of 275 m W and slope efficiency of 37%. | 6 | Histone demethylase LSD1 regulates bone mass by controlling WNT7B and BMP2 signaling in osteoblasts显示文摘Multiple regulatory mechanisms control osteoblast differentiation and function to ensure unperturbed skeletal formation and remodeling. In this study we identify histone lysine-specific demethylase 1(LSD1/KDM1 A) as a key epigenetic regulator of osteoblast differentiation. Knockdown of LSD1 promoted osteoblast differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells(hMSCs)in vitro and mice lacking LSD1 in mesenchymal cells displayed increased bone mass secondary to accelerated osteoblast differentiation. Mechanistic in vitro studies revealed that LSD1 epigenetically regulates the expression of WNT7 B and BMP2. LSD1 deficiency resulted in increased BMP2 and WNT7 B expression in osteoblasts and enhanced bone formation, while downregulation of WNT7 B-and BMP2-related signaling using genetic mouse model or small-molecule inhibitors attenuated bone phenotype in vivo. Furthermore, the LSD1 inhibitor tranylcypromine(TCP) could increase bone mass in mice. | 7 | A Novel Human Action Recognition Algorithm Based on Decision Level Multi-Feature Fusion显示文摘In order to take advantage of the logical structure of video sequences and improve the recognition accuracy of the human action, a novel hybrid human action detection method based on three descriptors and decision level fusion is proposed. Firstly, the minimal 3D space region of human action region is detected by combining frame difference method and Vi BE algorithm, and the three-dimensional histogram of oriented gradient(HOG3D) is extracted. At the same time, the characteristics of global descriptors based on frequency domain filtering(FDF) and the local descriptors based on spatial-temporal interest points(STIP) are extracted. Principal component analysis(PCA) is implemented to reduce the dimension of the gradient histogram and the global descriptor, and bag of words(BoW) model is applied to describe the local descriptors based on STIP. Finally, a linear support vector machine(SVM) is used to create a new decision level fusion classifier. Some experiments are done to verify the performance of the multi-features, and the results show that they have good representation ability and generalization ability. | 16 | Effect of Different Ionic Liquids on 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural Preparation from Glucose in DMA over AlCl_(3):Experimental and Theoretical Study显示文摘In this work,effect of different ionic liquids(ILs)on 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)preparation from glucose in N,N-dimethylacetamide(DMA)over AlCl3 was revealed by a combined experimental and computational study.ILs used as cocatalysts in this work included N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone hydrogen sulfate([NMP]HSO_(4)),N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone methyl sulfate([NMP]CH_(3)SO_(3)),N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone chlorine([NMP]Cl)and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone bromide([NMP]Br)which were endowed with the same cation but different anions.According to the conclusion that fructose was intermediate product from glucose to HMF,we found fructose was transformed to more by-products by[NMP]H_(S)O_(4),making HMF yield decline significantly when glucose was treated as substrate.Neither glucose nor fructose could be converted by[NMP]CH_(3)SO_(3)efficiently,leading to its no influence on glucose conversion to HMF.[NMP]Br had a higher selectivity for HMF from fructose than[NMP]Cl and AlCl3.Besides,Al^(3+)preferred to combine with Br−,slightly decreasing both the overall free energy barrier for glucose isomerization and activation barrier for H-shift at 393.15 K.So a high HMF yield of 57%was obtained from glucose catalyzed by AlCl3 together with[NMP]Br under mild conditions. | Yan Yang Wentao Liu Ningning Wang Haijun Wang Wei Li Zhanxin Song | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2015,33,5: | 1 |

| 20 | Low-voltage and high-gain WSe_(2)avalanche phototransistor with an out-of-plane WSe_(2)/WS_(2)heterojunction显示文摘The properties of photodetectors based on two-dimensional materials can be significantly enhanced by avalanche effect.However,a high avalanche breakdown voltage is needed to reach impact ionization,which leads to high power consumption.Here,we report the unique features of a low-voltage avalanche phototransistor formed by an in-plane WSe_(2)field effect transistor(FET)with an out-of-plane WSe_(2)/WS_(2)P–N heterojunction(HJ FET).The avalanche breakdown voltage in the device can be decreased from−31 to−8.5 V when compared with that in WSe_(2)FET.The inherent mechanism is mainly related to the redistributed electric field in the WSe_(2)channel after the formation of the out-of-plane P–N heterojunction.When the bias voltage is−16.5 V,the photoresponsivity in the HJ FET is enhanced from 1.5 to 135 A/W,which is significantly higher than that in the WSe_(2)FET because of the obvious reduction of the avalanche breakdown voltage.Moreover,HJ FET shows a higher responsivity than WSe_(2)FET in the range of 400–1,100 nm under low bias voltage.This phenomenon is caused by accelerating electron–hole spatial separation in the heterojunction.These results indicate that the use of an WSe_(2)FET with an out-of-plane WSe_(2)/WS_(2)heterojunction is ideal for high-performance photodetectors with low power consumption. | Lingyao Meng Ningning Zhang Maolong Yang Xixi Yuan Maliang Liu Huiyong Hu Liming Wang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,2: | 1 |
