2Smart ionic liquid/water mixture system with dual stimuli-response to temperature and CO_(2)显示文摘Stimuli-responsive materials have important applications in chemistry and chemical engineering.Here,we synthesized five different polyetheramine-fatty acids(PEFA)ionic liquids(ILs),possessing the dual stimuli-responsive ability to temperature and CO_(2).These PEFA ILs have reversible lower critical solution temperature(LCST)phase behavior over a wide temperature range of 37-91℃,and reversible heterogeneous-homogeneous phase transition towards the addition and removal of CO_(2).Furthermore,the droplet size of the IL-water mixture system increased from 6.5 to 21.0 nm as the temperature increased from 25 to 56℃,and then recovered to 6.5 nm when the temperature decreased to 25℃.The addition and removal of CO_(2)also reversibly modulated the droplet size of the system.Results from nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectra further showed that the temperature-dependent conformation of polyether amine chain in the cation dominates the temperature response,while the reversible formation of bicarbonate and fatty acids(FA)from CO_(2)and anion controls the CO_(2)-based reversible phase transition.Molecular simulations revealed a microscopic response mechanism of the IL-water system to temperature and CO_(2),and a synergistic effect between the dual stimuli of temperature and CO_(2).These findings may provide a basis for the rational design and understanding of ILs-based stimuli-responsive materials and nanoreactors.Xiaoqing Yuan Ju Liu Jingyu Qin Weili Ma Guangyong Liu Yanlei Wang Hongyan He 2023Nano Research2023,16,3:0
3Polypyrrole reinforced ZIF-67 with modulated facet exposure and billion-fold electrical conductivity enhancement towards robust photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction显示文摘The implementation of metal organic frameworks(MOFs) as the co-catalysts in hybrid photocatalytic systems puts requirements on both their charge-carrying capability and solvent stability. In the current study, in order to simultaneously promote the electrical conductivity and water stability of ZIF-67, an insitu monomer trapping strategy is deployed to synthesize polypyrrole(PPy)-reinforced ZIF-67 ensembles.Through coordination modulation, the incremental addition of pyrrole monomers enables to alter the crystal morphology of ZIF-67 from rhombic dodecahedra to truncated rhombic dodecahedra, and further to cubes. Upon polymerization, the resulted composite, in comparison to ZIF-67, demonstrates a billionfold conductivity enhancement, much improved chemical stability in pronated solvents, as well as largely retained specific surface area and porosity, enabling it functioning as an outstanding co-catalyst for catalyzing robust photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction. 5PTPRO represses colorectal cancer tumorigenesis and progression by reprogramming fatty acid metabolism显示文摘Background:Abnormal expression of protein tyrosine phosphatases(PTPs)has been reported to be a crucial cause of cancer.As a member of PTPs,protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type O(PTPRO)has been revealed to play tumor suppressive roles in several cancers,while its roles in colorectal cancer(CRC)remains to be elucidated.Hence,we aimed to explore the roles and mechanisms of PTPRO in CRC initiation and progression.Methods:The influences of PTPRO on the growth and liver metastasis of CRC cells and the expression patterns of different lipid metabolism enzymes were evaluated in vitro and in vivo.Molecular and biological experiments were conducted to uncover the underpinning mechanisms of dysregulated de novo lipogenesis and fatty acidβ-oxidation.Results:PTPRO expression was notably downregulated in CRC liver metastasis compared to the primary cancer,and such a downregulation was associated with poor prognosis of patients with CRC.PTPRO silencing significantly promoted cell growth and liver metastasis.Compared with PTPRO wild-type mice,PTPROknockout mice developed more tumors and harbored larger tumor loads under treatment with azoxymethane and dextran sulfate sodium.Gene set enrichment analysis revealed that PTPRO downregulation was significantly associated with the fatty acid metabolism pathways.Blockage of fatty acid synthesis abrogated the effects of PTPRO silencing on cell growth and liver metastasis.Further experiments indicated that PTPRO silencing induced the activation of the AKT serine/threonine kinase(AKT)/mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)signaling axis,thus promoting de novo lipogenesis by enhancing the expression of sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1(SREBP1)and its target lipogenic enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase alpha(ACC1)by activating the AKT/mTOR signaling pathway.Furthermore,PTPRO attenuation decreased the fatty acid oxidation rate by repressing the expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha(PPARα)and its downstream enzyme peroxisomal acyl-coenzyme A oxidase 1(ACOX1)via activating the p38/extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathway.Conclusions:PTPRO could suppress CRC development and metastasis via modulating the AKT/mTOR/SREBP1/ACC1 and MAPK/PPARα/ACOX1 pathways and reprogramming lipid metabolism.Weixing Dai Wenqiang Xiang Lingyu Han Zixu Yuan Renjie Wang Yanlei Ma Yongzhi Yang Sanjun Cai Ye Xu Shaobo Mo Qingguo Li Guoxiang Cai 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,9:0
