| 2 | A CFD model for gas uniform distribution in turbulent flow for the production of titanium pigment in chloride process显示文摘The fluid dynamic behavior of feeding gas(Ti Cl4) in an annular channel affects the combination of O2 and Ti Cl4 in an oxidation reactor, a key piece of equipment in titanium pigment production. The numerical procedure was validated by a 3-dimensional gas flow in the annular channel. Applying the validated model, the flow characteristics of Ti Cl4 in the oxidation reactor with a tangential inlet were simulated and characterized. The flow distribution with five rectifying rings of different structure was simulated and analyzed. The results showed that the rectifying ring improved the distribution uniformity of the pressure and outlet velocity. Compared to the original case without a rectifying ring, the non-uniformity of the pressure and outlet velocity could be reduced by up to91% and 69% respectively. The rectifying ring #5, which can be installed and adjusted easily, is more effective in realizing even distribution. | 3 | Toxicity of copper,lead,and cadmium on the motility of two marine microalgae Isochrysis galbana and Tetraselmis chui显示文摘Computer assisted movement tracking was used to characterize the motility of two marine microalgae,Isochrysis galbana and Tetraselmis chui,and to investigate the toxicity of Cu,Pb,and Cd on motile percentage,curvilinear velocity,average path velocity,straight line velocity,linearity,straightness,and wobble.Except for motile percentage,all other motility parameters differed significantly between I.galbana and T.chui.Based on relative motile percentage data,the median effective concentration (EC 50) of Cu on the motility of I.galbana and T.chui was 31.4 and 1.3 μmol/L,respectively,while for Pb it was 37.8 and 10.9 μmol/L and for Cd it was 121.6 and 37.8 μmol/L,respectively.Compared to I.galbana,T.chui was more sensitive to all tested metals.The toxic effect of the heavy metals on motility exhibited the following decreasing order for both species:Cu > Pb > Cd.Our results indicate that I.galbana and T.chui motility is sensitive to heavy metals and can be used as an indicator for toxicology bioassays. | Guangxu Liu Xueliang Chai Yanqing Shao Lihua Hu Qilang Xie Hongxi Wu | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2: | 2 |
| 4 | Molecular and functional characterization of ferritin in abalone Haliotis diversicolor supertexta显示文摘Ferritin is an iron storage protein that plays a key role in the processes of physiology and pathology.In the present study,the authors reported the ferritin gene from abalone Haliotis diversicolor supertexta,which we named hds-ferritin.The full-length of hds-ferritin cDNA consisted of 879 bp with an ORF encoding a 171 amino acids.Amino acid sequence analysis revealed that hds-ferritin shared highly homology with other species.Real time PCR and western blot analysis showed that hds-ferritin was distributed ubiquitously in abalone tissues and had the highest expression level in digestive glands,but its transcripts are not modified remarkably by the stimulation with LPS.The recombinant protein was successfully expressed in Escherichia coli BL21(DE3),and the titre of anti-ferritin antibody was about 1:14 000.The effects of ROS and RNS on ferritin were analyzed in the present study.The results showed that H2O2 played an important role in decreasing hds-ferritin,however NO cation appeared to have a protecting effect on H2O2-medied reduction of hds-ferritin. | XIE Jiasong CAO Xiaohua WU Liuji LUO Ming ZHU Zewen HUANG Yanqing WU Xinzhong | 2012 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,3: | 2 |

| 14 | Unraveling the morphological evolution mechanism of solid sulfur species in lithium-sulfur batteries with operando light microscopy显示文摘Solid-liquid phase conversion between various sulfur species in lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries is a fundamental reaction of the sulfur cathode.Disclosing the morphological evolution of solid sulfur species upon cycling is of great significance to achieving high energy densities.However,an in-depth investigation of the internal reaction is still lacking.In this work,the evolution process of solid sulfur species on carbon substrates is systematically studied by using an operando light microscope combined with in situ electrochemical impedance spectra technology.The observation of phenomena such as bulk solid sulfur species can form and dissolve independently of the conductive substrates and the transformation of supercooled liquid sulfur to crystalline sulfur.Based on the phenomena mentioned above,a possible mechanism was proposed in which the dissolution reaction of solid sulfur species is a spatially free reaction that involves isotropic physical dissolution,diffusion of molecules,and finally the electrochemical reaction.Correspondingly,the formation of solid sulfur species tends to be a form of crystallization in a saturated solution rather than electrodeposition,as is commonly believed.Our findings offer new insights into the reaction of sulfur cathodes and provide new opportunities to design advanced sulfur cathodes for Li-S batteries. | Jingqiang Zheng Chaohong Guan Huangxu Li Yangyang Xie Junxian Hu Kai Zhang Bo Hong Yanqing Lai Jie Li Zhian Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,10: | 1 |
| 15 | Corrosion protection of magnesium alloys anode by cerium-based anodization coating in magnesium-ait battery显示文摘CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O(0.5,1.0,1.5,and 2.0 g/L)was added into an 8.0%NaCl electrolyte solution to investigate this electrolyte for use in a Mg-air battery.The effects of the amount of CeN_(3)O_(9)-6H_(2)O on the corrosion resistance of an AZ31 Mg alloy anode and battery performance were investigated using microstructure,electrochemical(dynamic potential polarization method and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy),and battery measurements.The re sults show that the addition of CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O to the electrolyte leads to the formation of a Ce(OH)_(3)protective film on the surface of the AZ31 Mg alloy that improves the corrosion resistance of the Mg alloy.An increase in the concentration of CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O results in a denser Ce(OH)_(3)protective film and decreases corrosion rate of the AZ31 Mg alloy.When the concentration of CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O is 1.0 g/L,the corrosion rate of the Mg alloy is the lowest with a corrosion inhibition rate of70.4%.However,the corrosion rate increases due to the dissolution of the Ce(OH)_(3)protective film when the concentration of CeN_(3)O_(9)-6H_(2)O is greater than 1.0 g/L.Immersing the Mg alloy in the electrolyte solution containing CeN_(3)O_(9)-6H_(2)O for 50 h leads to the formation of the Ce(HO)_(3)protective film on its surface,which was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy of the AZ31 alloy.The Mg^(2+)charge transfer resistance increases by 69.5Ωfrom the equivalent circuit diagram,which improves the corrosion resistance of the Mg alloy.The discharge performance of CeN_(3)O_(9)·6H_(2)O improves according to a discharge test,and the discharge time increases by 40 min. | Xiang You Xiaowei Zhang Chuang Yu Yuanliang Chen Huiming Li Yanqing Hou Lin Tian Ni Yang Gang Xie | 2023 | Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,3: | 1 |

| 18 | Unveiling nanoplates-assembled Bi2MoO6 microsphere as a novel anode material for high performance potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Bismuth (Bi)-based electrode has aroused tremendous interest in potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) on account of its low cost, high electronic conductivity, low charge voltage and high theoretical capacity. However, the rapid capacity fading and poor lifespan induced by the normalized volume expansion (up to ~ 406%) and serious aggregation of Bi during cycling process hinder its application. Herein, bismuth molybdate (Bi2MoO6) microsphere assembled by 2D nanoplate units is successfully prepared by a facile solvothermal method and demonstrated as a promising anode for PIBs. The unique microsphere structure and the self-generated potassium molybdate (K-Mo-O species) during the electrochemical reactions can effectively suppress mechanical fracture of Bi-based anode originated from the volume variation during charge/discharge of the battery. As a result, the Bi2MoO6 microsphere without hybridizing with any other conductive carbon matrix shows superior electrochemical performance, which delivers a high reversible capacity of 121.7 mAh·g^−1 at 100 mA·g^−1 over 600 cycles. In addition, the assembled perylenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA)//Bi2MoO6 full-cell coupled with PTCDA cathode demonstrates the potential application of Bi2MoO6 microsphere. Most importantly, the phase evolution of Bi2MoO6 microsphere during potassiation/depotassiation process is successfully deciphered by ex situ X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) technologies, which reveals a combination mechanism of conversion reaction and alloying/dealloying reaction for Bi2MoO6 anode. | 20 | Comparative DNA-methylome and transcriptome analysis reveals heterosis-and polyploidy-associated epigenetic changes in rice显示文摘Heterosis and polyploidy have an overwhelming influence on plant evolution.Recently,polyploid rice hybrids have been used to breed new rice varieties because they combine the advantages of both heterosis and polyploidy.In this study,we generated six rice lines:autotetraploid rice hybrids and their autotetraploid parents,diploid donors,and hybrids of the diploid donors.To investigate the molecular mechanism controlling the effects of both hybridization and polyploidization,we performed bisulfite and RNA sequencing on young panicles at the pollen meiosis stage to compare the DNA metabolomes and transcriptomes among the six rice lines.The hybrids lines were hypermethylated compared to their corresponding parents and the autotetraploid lines showed globally increased DNA methylation of their transposable elements compared to the diploid donors.The alteration in DNA methylation level corresponded to the differential gene expressions among the rice genotypes,suggesting that methylation changes induced by polyploidization and hybridization may affect gene expression.Groups of gene candidates were identified that may be associated with heterosis and polyploidy.Our results provide DNA information that can be used to investigate epigenetic modification during heterosis and polyploidy in rice. | Xiaolan Rao Jun Ren Wei Wang Rongrong Chen Qian Xie Yanqing Xu Dongmei Li Zhaojian Song Yuchi He Detian Cai Pingfang Yang Shiyou Lyu Li Li Wei Liu Xianhua Zhang | 2023 | The Crop Journal2023,11,2: | 0 |
