| 1 | The Current Situation on Major Depressive Disorder in China:Research on Mechanisms and Clinical Practice显示文摘Depression is the most disabling disorder worldwide that accounts for the highest proportion of global burden attributable to mental disorders. Major depressive disorder(MDD) is characterized by deep sadness, reduced energy,vegetative nervous system dysregulation, cognitive dysfunction, and even a high suicidal tendency. Although other treatment choices are available, antidepressant medication is the front-line treatment option for MDD. Regarding clinical efficacy, only ~50% of patients respond to frontline antidepressants, and <33% obtain remission. Currently, objective indexes to guide clinical decisions are still lacking. Furthermore, knowledge about the neurobiological mechanisms underlying discrepant antidepressant outcomes is still also fragmentary. | 2 | Achieving the nitrite pathway using FA inhibition and process control in UASB-SBR system removing nitrogen from landfill leachate显示文摘An up-flow sludge blanket(UASB) and sequencing batch reactor(SBR) system was introduced to remove organics and nitrogen from landfill leachate.The synergetic effect of free ammonia(FA) inhibition and process control was used to achieve the nitrite pathway in the SBR.In previous research,inhibition of FA on nitrite oxidizing bacteria(NOB) activity has been revealed and the process control parameters(DO,ORP and pH) exactly indicate the end-point of nitritation.The method was implemented in the SBR achieving stable nitrogen removal via the nitrite pathway from landfill leachate.The degree of nitrite accumulation during the nitritation was monitored along with the simultaneous and advanced removal of organics and nitrogen in the UASB-SBR system.The nitrifying bacteria community was quantitatively analyzed by fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH) techniques.Batch tests were carried out to investigate the denitritation kinetics of microbial bacteria in the SBR.Experimental results showed that the nitrite pathway could be repeatedly and reliably achieved by synergetic effect of FA inhibition and process control.FISH analysis showed the dominant nitrifying bacteria were ammonia-oxidizing β-Proteobacteria. | 3 | Virtual 5G Network Embedding in a Heterogeneous and Multi-Domain Network Infrastructure显示文摘The pursuit of the higher performance mobile communications forces the emergence of the fifth generation mobile communication(5G). 5G network, integrating wireless and wired domain, can be qualified for the complex virtual network work oriented to the cross-domain requirement. In this paper, we focus on the multi-domain virtual network embedding in a heterogeneous 5G network infrastructure, which facilitates the resource sharing for diverse-function demands from fixed/mobile end users. We proposed the mathematical ILP model for this problem.And based on the layered-substrate-resource auxiliary graph and an effective six-quadrant service-type-judgment method, 5G embedding demands can be classified accurately to match different user access densities. A collection of novel heuristic algorithms of virtual 5G network embedding are proposed. | 7 | Quercetin promotes human epidermal stem cell proliferation through the estrogen receptor/β-catenin/c-Myc/cyclin A2 signaling pathway显示文摘Skin epidermal stem cells(EpSCs)play an important role in wound healing.Quercetin is a phytoestrogen reported to accelerate skin wound healing,but its effect on EpSCs is unknown.In this study,we investigated the effect of quercetin on human EpSC proliferation and explored the underlying mechanisms.We found that quercetin at 0.1~1μM significantly promoted EpSC proliferation and increased the number of cells in S phase.The pro-proliferative effect of quercetin on EpSCs was confirmed in cultured human skin tissue.Mechanistic studies showed that quercetin significantly upregulated the expressions ofβ-catenin,c-Myc,and cyclins A2 and E1.Inhibitor forβ-catenin or c-Myc significantly inhibited quercetin-induced EpSC proliferation.Theβ-catenin inhibitor XAV-939 suppressed quercetin-induced expressions ofβ-catenin,c-Myc,and cyclins A2 and E1.The c-Myc inhibitor 10058-F4 inhibited the upregulation of c-Myc and cyclin A2 by quercetin.Pretreatment of EpSCs with estrogen receptor(ER)antagonist ICI182780,but not the G protein-coupled ER1 antagonist G15,reversed quercetin-induced cell proliferation and upregulation ofβ-catenin,c-Myc,and cyclin A2.Collectively,these results indicate that quercetin promotes EpSC proliferation through ER-mediated activation ofβ-catenin/c-Myc/cyclinA2 signaling pathway and ER-independent upregulation of cyclin E1 and that quercetin may accelerate skin wound healing through promoting EpSC proliferation.As EpSCs are used not only in clinic to treat skin wounds but also as seed cells in skin tissue engineering,quercetin is a useful reagent to expand EpSCs for basic research,skin wound treatment,and skin tissue engineering. | Zhaodong Wang Guangliang Zhang Yingying Le Jihui Ju Ping Zhang Dapeng Wan Qiang Zhao Guangzhe Jin Hao Su Jinwei Liu Jiaxuan Feng Yi Fu Ruixing Hou | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,10: | 3 |
| 8 | Laser-induced Janus graphene/poly(p-phenylene benzobisoxazole)fabrics with intrinsic flame retardancy as flexible sensors and breathable electrodes for fire-fighting field显示文摘Conventional firefighting clothing and fire masks can protect firemen’s safety to a certain extent,whereas cannot perceive environmental hazards and monitor their physical status in real time.Herein,we fabricated two kinds of Janus graphene/poly(pphenylene benzobisoxazole)(PBO)fabrics by laser direct writing approach and evaluated their performance as intelligent firefighting clothes and fire masks.The results showed that the Janus graphene/PBO fabrics were virtually non-combustible and achieved the highest thermal protection time of 18.91 s ever reported in flame,which is due to the intrinsic flame-retardant nature of PBO fibers.The graphene/PBO woven fabrics-based sensor showed good repeatability and stability in human motion monitoring and NO_(2)gas detection.Furthermore,the piezoelectric fire mask was assembled with graphene/PBO nonwoven fabric as electrode layer and polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)electrostatic direct writing film as piezoelectric layer.The filtration efficiency of the fire mask reaches 95%for PM_(2.5)and 100%for PM_(3.0),indicating its effective filtration capability for smoke particles in fires.The respiratory resistance of the piezoelectric fire mask(46.8 Pa)was lower than that of commercial masks(49 Pa),showing that it has good wearing comfort.Besides,the piezoelectric fire mask can be sensitive to the speed and intensity of human breathing,which is essential for indirectly reflecting the health of the human body.Consequently,this work provides a facile approach to fabricate next-generation intrinsic flame-retardant smart textiles for smart firefighting. | Yu Luo Yaping Miao Huimin Wang Kai Dong Lin Hou Yanyan Xu Weichun Chen Yao Zhang Yingying Zhang Wei Fan | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 2 |

| 18 | Dose rate effects on shape memory epoxy resin during 1 Me V electron irradiation in air显示文摘The effects of 1 Me V electron irradiation in air at a fixed accumulated dose and dose rates of 393.8,196.9,78.8,and 39.4 Gy s^(-1)on a shape memory epoxy(SMEP)resin were studied.Under low-dose-rate irradiation,accelerated degradation of the shape memory performance was observed;specifically,the shape recovery ratio decreased exponentially with increasing irradiation time(that is,with decreasing dose rate).In addition,the glass transition temperature of the SMEP,as measured by dynamic mechanical analysis,decreased overall with decreasing dose rate.The dose rate effects of 1 Me V electron irradiation on the SMEP were confirmed by structural analysis using electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy.The EPR spectra showed that the concentration of free radicals increased exponentially with increasing irradiation time.Moreover,the FTIR spectra showed higher intensities of the peaks at 1660 and 1720 cm^(-1),which are attributed to stretching vibrations of amide C=O and ketone/acid C=O,at lower dose rates.The intensities of the IR peaks at 1660 and 1720 cm^(-1) increased exponentially with increasing irradiation time,and the relative intensity of the IR peak at 2926 cm^(-1)decreased exponentially with increasing irradiation time.The solid-state13 C nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectra of the SMEP before and after 1 Me V electron irradiation at a dose of 1970 k Gy and a dose rate of 78.8 Gy s^(-1) indicated damage to the CH_(2)–N groups and aliphatic isopropanol segment.This result is consistent with the detection of nitrogenous free radicals,a phenoxy-type free radical,and several types of pyrolytic carbon radicals by EPR.During the subsequent propagation process,the free radicals produced at lower dose rates were more likely to react with oxygen,which was present at higher concentrations,and form the more destructive peroxy free radicals and oxidation products such as acids,amides,and ketones.The increase in peroxy free radicals at lower dose rates was thought to accelerate the degradation of the macroscopic performance of the SMEP. | Longyan Hou Yiyong Wu Debin Shan Bin Guo Yingying Zong | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,8: | 1 |

| 20 | Angiopoietin-like 4 promotes epidermal stem cell proliferation and migration and contributes to cutaneous wound re-epithelialization显示文摘Proliferation and migration of epidermal stem cells(EpSCs)are essential for epithelialization during skin wound healing.Angiopoietin-like 4(ANGPTL4)has been reported to play an important role in wound healing,but the mechanisms involved are not fully understood.Here,we investigate the contribution of ANGPTL4 to full-thickness wound re-epithelialization and the underlying mechanisms using Angptl4-knockout mice.Immunohistochemical staining reveals that ANGPTL4 is significantly upregulated in the basal layer cells of the epidermis around the wound during cutaneous wound healing.ANGPTL4 deficiency impairs wound healing.H&E staining shows that ANGPTL4 deficiency significantly reduces the thickness,length and area of the regenerated epidermis postwounding.Immunohistochemical staining for markers of EpSCs(α6 integrin andβ1 integrin)and cell proliferation(PCNA)shows that the number and proliferation of EpSCs in the basal layer of the epidermis are reduced in ANGPTL4-deficient mice.In vitro studies show that ANGPTL4 deficiency impedes EpSC proliferation,causes cell cycle arrest at the G1 phase and reduces the expressions of cyclins D1 and A2,which can be reversed by ANGPTL4 overexpression.ANGPTL4 deletion suppresses EpSC migration,which is also rescued by ANGPTL4 overexpression.Overexpression of ANGPTL4 in EpSCs accelerates cell proliferation and migration.Collectively,our results indicate that ANGPTL4 promotes EpSC proliferation by upregulating cyclins D1 and A2 expressions and accelerating the cell cycle transition from G1 to S phase and that ANGPTL4 promotes skin wound re-epithelialization by stimulating EpSC proliferation and migration.Our study reveals a novel mechanism underlying EpSC activation and re-epithelialization during cutaneous wound healing. | Yuan Yang Chenghao Yu Yingying Le Weijuan Gong Jihui Ju Guangliang Zhang Pengxiang Ji Rui Zuo Zhe Liu Ping Zhang Ruixing Hou Yi Fu | 2023 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,8: | 0 |
