| 1 | Boundary-processing-technique in EMD method and Hilbert transform显示文摘By virtue of neural network, a series of signals is extended forward and backward, as a result, two additional maxima and two additional minima are obtained at both ends of the original data set, with which the EMD decomposition can be exactly achieved with cubic spline interpolation. Meanwhile, by using of neural network every IMF component can also be extended forward and backward, which effectively restrains the end effect, thus the veracious Hilbert spectra are achieved. | 5 | Cenozoic Volcanism in South China Sea and Its Vicinity and South China Sea Spreading显示文摘The rock series, rock types and Sr Nd isotopic dating of the Cenozoic volcanic rocks in the South China Sea are similar to those in its vicinity. On the basis of the spreading age of the South China Sea, the Cenozoic volcanic rocks are divided into three stages: the pre spreading stage, the spreading stage and the post spreading stage. The deep process characteristics of the asthenosphere and lithosphere may be inferred from the study on primary basaltic magma. The top layers of the asthenosphere both in the spreading stage and in the pre spreading stage are closer to the earth surface than that in the post spreading stage. From the pre spreading stage to the spreading stage, the top layer of the asthenosphere decreased in depth, while the amount of interstitial partial melts increased. The evolution of the primary basaltic magma shows a progressive evolution sequence of the rifting volcanism and a faster lithospheric spreading velocity. From the spreading stage to the post spreading stage, the top layer of the asthenosphere gradually increased in depth, but the amount of interstitial partial melts decreased. The evolution of primary basaltic magma shows a retrogressive evolution sequence of the rifting volcanism and a gradual decrease in the lithospheric spreading velocity. | 6 | Staged angioplasty versus regular carotid artery stenting in patients with carotid artery stenosis at high risk of hyperperfusion:a randomised clinical trial显示文摘Background and purpose Hyperperfusion(HP)is a devastating complication associated with carotid artery stenting(CAS)or endarterectomy.The efficacy and safety of staged angioplasty(SAP)in patients with CAS at high risk of HP remains unclear.We sought to determine whether SAP is superior to regular CAS in patients with high risk of HP.Methods A randomised,multicentre open-label clinical trial with blinded outcome assessment(STEP)was conducted.Patients with severe carotid stenosis at high risk of HP were randomly assigned(1:1)to the SAP or regular CAS group.The primary endpoint was hyperperfusion syndrome(HPS)and intracerebral haemorrhage(ICH)within 30 days after the procedure.Results From November 2014 to January 2017,a total of 64 patients were enrolled in 11 centres.33 patients were allocated to the SAP group and 31 to the regular CAS group.At 30 days,the rate of primary endpoint was 0.0%(0/33)in the SAP group and 9.7%(3/31)in the regular CAS group(absolute risk reduction(ARR),9.7%;95%CI−20.1% to 0.7%;p=0.11).As one of the secondary endpoints,the incidence of HP phenomenon(HPP)was lower in the SAP group than the regular CAS group(0.0%vs 22.6%,ARR,−22.6%;95% CI−36.8%to−10.2%;p=0.04).Conclusion The rate of HPS and ICH was not significantly lower in SAP group;the extended secondary endpoint of HPP,however,significantly reduced,which suggested that SAP may be a safe and effective carotid revascularisation procedure to prevent HP. | Dapeng Mo Baixue Jia Huaizhang Shi Yaxuan Sun Qingan Liu Chengzhe Fan Jianping Deng Jinglin Yuan Wei Wu Changchun Jiang Guilian Zhang Hanjun Du Ning Ma Feng Gao Xuan Sun Ligang Song Lian Liu Guangge Peng Yongjun Wang Yilong Wang Zhongrong Miao the STEP Study Group | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,1: | 3 |
| 7 | Selection of water source for water transfer based on algal growth potential to prevent algal blooms显示文摘Water transfer is becoming a popular method for solving the problems of water quality deterioration and water level drawdown in lakes. However, the principle of choosing water sources for water transfer projects has mainly been based on the effects on water quality, which neglects the influence in the variation of phytoplankton community and the risk of algal blooms. In this study, algal growth potential(AGP) test was applied to predict changes in the phytoplankton community caused by water transfer projects. The feasibility of proposed water transfer sources(Baqing River and Jinsha River) was assessed through the changes in both water quality and phytoplankton community in Chenghai Lake, Southwest China. The results showed that the concentration of total nitrogen(TN) and total phosphorus(TP) in Chenghai Lake could be decreased to 0.52 mg/L and 0.02 mg/L respectively with the simulated water transfer source of Jinsha River. The algal cell density could be reduced by 60%, and the phytoplankton community would become relatively stable with the Jinsha River water transfer project, and the dominant species of Anabaena cylindrica evolved into Anabaenopsis arnoldii due to the species competition. However, the risk of algal blooms would be increased after the Baqing River water transfer project even with the improved water quality. Algae gained faster proliferation with the same dominant species in water transfer source. | 11 | Childhood strokes in China describing clinical characteristics, risk factors and performance indicators: a case-series study显示文摘Aim To investigate clinical characteristics,risk factors(RFs),neurologic deficits and medical care provided in children who had a stroke in China.Methods We conducted a retrospective case-series study using the medical records of children aged 1 month to 18 years with arterial ischaemic stroke(AIS)or haemorrhagic stroke(HS)(with the entry codes I60,I61,I62,I63(ICD-10)),who were admitted to different hospitals in Beijing,between January 2018 and December 2018.We obtained the following information from the charts:demographic characteristics,clinical presentations,RFs for paediatric stroke,laboratory examination,neuroimaging records and neurologic sequelae.Results We identified 312 first admissions for stroke(172 AIS and 140 HS).The mean age at onset was 8.6±3.9 years for patients who had an AIS and 8(5–13)years for patients who had an HS.There were more males than females in both groups(AIS:59.88%vs 40.12%;HS:52.14%vs 47.86%).A known aetiology was identified in 92.44%and 86.43%of patients who had an AIS and HS,respectively.The leading cause of AIS was cerebrovascular diseases including moyamoya(68.6%),while that for HS was arteriovenous malformation(51.43%).The most common initial clinical presentation was hemiplegia(86.05%)in patients who had an AIS and headache(67.86%)in patients who had an HS.The use of healthcare,including acute treatment(antithrombotic in 17.44%,anticoagulant in 5.23%)and secondary prevention(antithrombotic in 6.39%,anticoagulant in 1.16%),varied and was significantly lower among patients who had an AIS.The most common complications were epilepsy(22.09%)and pneumonia(4.65%)in patients who had an AIS and epilepsy(17.14%)and hydrocephalus(12.14%)in patients who had an HS.Neurological deficits occurred in 62.8%of patients who had an AIS and 72.86%of patients who had an HS.Conclusion Cerebral arteriopathy was a major RF for both AIS and HS in children living in China.Large epidemiological studies are required to identify RFs to prevent stroke as well as appropriate interventions. | Yaxian Deng Gaifen Liu Guitao Zhang Juanyu Xu Chunmei Yao Lei Wang Chengsong Zhao Yongjun Wang | 2022 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,2: | 1 |

| 18 | Genomic scanning enabling discovery of a new antibacterial bicyclic carbamate-containing alkaloid显示文摘Non-ribosomal peptides are a group of structurally diverse natural products with various important therapeutic and agrochemical applications.Bacterial pyrrolizidine alkaloids(PAs),containing a scaffold of two fused five-membered ring system with a nitrogen atom at the bridgehead,have been found to originate from a multidomain non-ribosomal peptide synthetase to generate indolizidine intermediates,followed by multistep oxidation,catalysed by single Bayer-Villiger(BV)enzymes,to yield PA scaffolds.Although bacterial PAs are rare in natural product inventory,bioinformatics analysis suggested that the biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs)that are likely to be responsible for the production of PA-like metabolites are widely distributed in bacterial genomes.However,most of the strains containing PA-like BGCs are not deposited in the public domain,therefore preventing further assessment of the chemical spaces of this group of bioactive metabolites.Here,we report a genomic scanning strategy to assess the potential of PA metabolites production in our culture collection without prior knowledge of genome information.Among the strains tested,we found fifteen contain the key BV enzymes that are likely to be involved in the last step of PA ring formation.Subsequently one-strain-many-compound(OSMAC)method,supported by a combination of HR-MS,NMR,SMART 2.0 technology,and GNPS analysis,allowed identification and characterization of a new[5+7]heterobicyclic carbamate,legoncarbamate,together with five known PAs,bohemamine derivatives,from Streptomyces sp.CT37,a Ghanaian soil isolate.The absolute stereochemistry of legoncarbamate was determined by comparison of measured and calculated ECD spectra.Legoncarbamate displays antibacterial activity against E.coli ATCC 25922 with an MIC value of 3.1μg/mL.Finally,a biosynthetic model of legoncarbamate and other bohemamines was proposed based on the knowledge we have gained so far. | Qing Fang Linrui Wu Caroline Urwald Morgane Mugat Shan Wang Kwaku Kyeremeh Carol Philips Samantha Law d Yongjun Zhou Hai Deng | 2021 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2021,6,1: | 1 |
