1Mechanical properties of hot-pressed high-entropy diboride-based ceramics显示文摘High-entropy ceramics attract more and more attention in recent years.However,mechanical properties especially strength and fracture toughness for high-entropy ceramics and their composites have not been comprehensively reported.In this work,high-entropy(Ti0.2Zr0.2Hf0.2Nb0.2Ta 0.2)B2(HEB)monolithic and its composite containing 20 vol%SiC(HEB–20SiC)are prepared by hot pressing.The addition of SiC not only accelerates the densification process but also refines the microstructure of HEB,resulting in improved mechanical properties.The obtained dense HEB and HEB–20SiC ceramics hot pressed at 1800℃exhibit four-point flexural strength of 339±17 MPa and 447±45 MPa,and fracture toughness of 3.81±0.40 MPa·m1/2 and 4.85±0.33 MPa·m1/2 measured by single-edge notched beam(SENB)technique.Crack deflection and branching by SiC particles is considered to be the main toughening mechanisms for the HEB–20SiC composite.The hardness Hv0.2 of the sintered HEB and HEB–20SiC ceramics is 23.7±0.7 GPa and 24.8±1.2 GPa,respectively.With the increase of indentation load,the hardness of the sintered ceramics decreases rapidly until the load reaches about 49 N,due to the indentation size effect.Based on the current experimental investigation it can be seen that the room temperature bending strength and fracture toughness of the high-entropy diboride ceramics are within ranges commonly observed in structure ceramics.Ji-Xuan Liu Xiao-Qin Shen Yue Wu Fei Li Yongcheng Liang Guo-Jun Zhang 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,4:16
2Single-trial decoding of imagined grip force parameters involving the right or left hand based on movement-related cortical potentials显示文摘Time–domain feature representation for imagined grip force movement-related cortical potentials(MRCP)of the right or left hand and the decoding of imagined grip force parameters based on electroencephalogram(EEG)activity recorded during a single trial were here investigated.EEG signals were acquired from eleven healthy subjects during four different imagined tasks performed with the right or left hand.Subjects were instructed to execute imagined grip movement at two different levels of force.Each task was executed 60 times in random order.The imagined grip force MRCP of the right or left hand was analyzed by superposition and averaging technology,a single-trial extraction method,analysis of variance(ANOVA),and multiple comparisons.Significantly different features were observed among different imagined grip force tasks.These differences were used to decode imagined grip force parameters using Fisher linear discrimination analysis based on kernel function(k-FLDA)and support vector machine(SVM).Under the proposed experimental paradigm,the study showed that MRCP may characterize the dynamic processing that takes place in the brain during the planning,execution,and precision of a given imagined grip force task.This means that features related to MRCP can be used to decode imagined grip force parameters based on EEG.ANOVA and multiple comparisons of time–domain features for MRCP showed that movement-monitoring potentials(MMP)and specific interval(0–150 ms)average potentials to be significantly different among 4 different imagined grip force tasks.The minimum peak negativity differed significantly between high and low amplitude grip force.Identification of the 4different imagined grip force tasks based on MMP was performed using k-FLDA and SVM,and the average misclassification rates of 27%±5%and 24%±4%across 11 subjects were achieved respectively.The minimum misclassification rate was 15%,and the average minimum misclassification rate across 11 subjects was24%±4.5%.This investigation indicates that imagined grip force MRCP may encode imagined grip force parameters.Single-trial decoding of imagined grip force parameters based on MRCP may be feasible.The study may provide some additional and fine control instructions for brain–computer interfaces.Yunfa Fu Baolei Xu Yongcheng Li Yuechao Wang Zhengtao Yu Hongyi Li 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,16:8
3Soil heavy metal pollution from Pb/Zn smelting regions in China and the remediation potential of biomineralization显示文摘Smelting activities pose serious environmental problems due to the local and regional heavy metal pollution in soils they cause. It is therefore important to understand the pollution situation and its source in the contaminated soils. In this paper, data on heavy metal pollution in soils resulting from Pb/Zn smelting(published in the last 10 years) in China was summarized. The heavy metal pollution was analyzed from a macroscopic point of view. The results indicated that Pb, Zn, As and Cd were common contaminants that were present in soils with extremely high concentrations. Because of the extreme carcinogenicity, genotoxicity and neurotoxicity that heavy metals pose, remediation of the soils contaminated by smelting is urgently required. The primary anthropogenic activities contributing to soil pollution in smelting areas and the progressive development of accurate source identification were performed. Due to the advantages of biominerals, the potential of biomineralization for heavy metal contaminated soils was introduced. 4Energy conservation and emissions reduction strategies in foundry industry显示文摘Current energy conservation and emissions reduction strategies in iron and steel industry were reviewed. Since foundry industry is one of the major source of energy consumption and pollution emission (especially CO 2 ), issues concerning energy-saving and emission-reduction have been raised by governments and the industry. Specialists from around the world carried out multidimensional analyses and evaluation on the potentials in energy conservation and emissions reduction in iron and steel industry, and proposed various kinds of analyzing models. The primary measures mainly focus on the targeted policies formulation and also on clean and highefficient technologies development. 5Optimizing reliability, maintainability and testability parameters of equipment based on GSPN显示文摘Reliability, maintainability and testability(RMT) are important properties of equipment, since they have important influence on operational availability and life cycle costs(LCC). Therefore, weighting and optimizing the three properties are of great significance. A new approach for optimization of RMT parameters is proposed. First of all, the model for the equipment operation process is established based on the generalized stochastic Petri nets(GSPN) theory. Then, by solving the GSPN model, the quantitative relationship between operational availability and RMT parameters is obtained. Afterwards, taking history data of similar equipment and operation process into consideration, a cost model of design,manufacture and maintenance is developed. Based on operational availability, the cost model and parameters ranges, an optimization model of RMT parameters is built. 6Effect of Zn atom in Fe-N-C catalysts for electro-catalytic reactions: theoretical considerations显示文摘Due to the high specific surface area,abundant nitrogen and micropores,ZIF-8 is a commonly used precursor for preparing high performance Fe-N-C catalysts.However,the Zn element is inevitably remained in the prepared Fe-N-C catalyst.Whether the residual Zn element affects the catalytic activity and active site center of the Fe-N-C catalyst caused widespread curiosity,but has not been studied yet.Herein,we built several Fe,Zn,and N co-doped graphene models to investigate the effect of Zn atoms on the electrocatalytic performance of Fe-N-C catalysts by using density functional theory method.The calculation results show that all the calculated Fe-Zn-N_(x) structures are thermodynamically stable due to the negative formation energies and relative stabilities.The active sites around Fe and Zn atoms in the structure of Fe-Zn-N_(6)(III)show the lowest oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)overpotentials of 0.38 and 0.43 V,respectively.The bridge site of Fe-Zn in Fe-Zn-N_(5) shows the lowest η^(HER) of−0.26 V.A few structures with a better activity than that of FeN_(4) or ZnN_(4) are attributed to the synergistic effects between Fe and Zn atoms.The calculated ORR reaction pathways on Fe-Zn-N6(III)show that H_(2)O is the final product and the ORR mechanism on the catalyst would be a four-electron process,and the existence of Zn element in the Fe-N-C catalysts plays a key role in reducing the ORR activation energy barrier.The results are helpful for the deep understand of high-performance Fe-N-C catalysts.Yongcheng Li Riming Hu Zhibin Chen Xin Wan Jia-Xiang Shang Fu-He Wang Jianglan Shui 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:3
7Relationship between hyperlipidemia and the gut microbiome of rats, characterized using high-throughput sequencing显示文摘Objective:To determine the effects of a high-fat diet(HFD)on the gut microbiome in rats,to explore the relationship between the intestinal flora and blood lipid profile.Methods:SpragueeDawley rats were fed an HFD for four weeks to induce hyperlipidemia,then 16S rRNA sequencing was used to compare the intestinal flora between hyperlipidemic and control diet-fed rats.Results:The microbiome of rats fed an HFD for four weeks differed from that of control diet-fed rats.Bacterial species that were less abundant were most affected by HFD feeding,among which were many pathogenic species,which became significantly more abundant.Eighteen genera were present in significantly different numbers in hyperlipidemic and control rats,more than half of which have been linked to infection and inflammation,or energy intake and obesity.The results indicated a type of stress response of the flora to a high-fat environment.In addition,the age of the rats tended to influence the gut microbial composition.Conclusion:These findings suggest that HFD may induce hyperlipidemia by affecting the gut microbial composition.Changes in the abundance of pro-inflammatory and pathogenic bacteria,and those that influence energy intake and obesity,may be important mediators of this.Yaqi Li Quantao Ma Jingkang Wang Pengfei Li Long Cheng Yongcheng An Yuhui Duan Hongyu Dai Ting Wang Baosheng Zhao 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,2:3

9Home range and seasonality of Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys显示文摘Home range studies are essential for understanding an animal’s behavioral ecology and for making wildlife conservation efficient.The home range of a group of Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys(Rhinopithecus bieti Milne-Edwards,1897)was estimated using a global positioning system collar from December 2003 to October 2004 in northern Yunnan Province,China.To measure the ranging area of the study group 1291 animal locations were fixed.Based on the 100%minimum convex polygon method,the home range size was approximately 32.8 km2;based on the grid-cell method it was approximately 17.8 km2 using a 250-m grid and 23.3 km2 using a 500-m grid.We assessed seasonal changes in the home range of this monkey population and found a different ranging pattern of from earlier studies.Daily range size was calculated as 4.80±5.81 ha(mean±standard deviation),with a range of 45.66 ha(0.01–45.67 ha).Baoping REN Ming LI Yongcheng LONG Ruidong WU Fuwen WEI 2009Integrative Zoology2009,4,2:3
10High-throughput screening of carbon-supported single metal atom catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Carbon-supported transition metal single atoms are promising oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalyst.Since there are many types of carbon supports and transition metals,the accurate prediction of the components with high activity through theoretical calculations can greatly save experimental time and costs.In this work,the ORR catalytic properties of 180 types single-atom catalysts(SACs)composed of the eight representative carbon-based substrates(graphdiyne,C_(2)N,C_(3)N_(4),phthalocyanine,C-coordination graphene,N-coordination graphene,covalent organic frameworks and metal-organic frameworks)and 3d,4d,and 5d transition metal elements are investigated by density functional theory(DFT).The adsorption free energy of OH^(*) is proved a universal descriptor capable of accurately prediction of the ORR catalytic activity.It is found that the oxygen reduction reaction overpotentials of all the researched SACs follow one volcano shape very well with the adsorption free energy of OH^(*).Phthalocyanine,N-coordination graphene and metal-organic frameworks stand out as the promising supports for single metal atom due to the relatively lower overpotentials.Notably,the Co-doped metal-organic frameworks,Ir-doped phthalocyanine,Co-doped N-coordination graphene,Co-doped graphdiyne and Rh-doped phthalocyanine show extremely low overpotentials comparable to that of Pt(111).The study provides a guideline for design and selection of carbon-supported SACs toward oxygen reduction reaction.Yiran Wang Riming Hu Yongcheng Li Fuhe Wang Jiaxiang Shang Jianglan Shui 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:2
11Role of surface defects of carbon nanotubes on catalytic performance of barium promoted ruthenium catalyst for ammonia synthesis显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) with abundant surface defects are prepared by a liquid oxidation and thermal annealing method. The defective CNTs-D supported Ba–Ru/CNTs-D catalysts exhibit superior catalytic performance in ammonia synthesis with a TOF be increased up to 0.30 s-1, which is 2.5 times of oxidized CNTs-O supported Ba–Ru/CNTs-O catalysts and 5 times of the Ba–Ru/CNTs. The characterizations by CO chemisorption, transmission electron microscope, Raman, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed that the uniformly well dispersed Ru NPs can be stabilized on the defective sites of CNTs-D. 122 K superfluid helium cryogenic vertical test system for superconducting cavity of ADS Injector I显示文摘Purpose The accelerator-driven subcritical system(ADS)is the internationally recognized key technology of nuclear waste problem treatment,of which superconducting proton linac is an important part.With the support of the strategic science and technology pilot project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences took the lead in the research of 325 MHz superconducting proton linac,which is called ADS Injector I.The superconducting accelerator part of ADS Injector I mainly consists of 14 spoke-type superconducting cavities withβ0.12.At the same time,the research work of various cavities with differentβvalues and different frequencies is also carried out to lay the technical and technological foundation for ADS main accelerator.The only way to determine whether the superconducting cavity can reach the design target and whether it can be installed into the cryostat is the vertical test at cryogenic.As the only way to test the microwave performance of the superconducting cavity at low temperature,the vertical test can accurately test the acceleration gradient Eacc and the corresponding quality factor Q0 of the superconducting cavity.The design and construction of the superconducting cavity vertical test facility is based on the practical needs of the pilot project and the long-term development of the superconducting accelerator.Methods This paper mainly introduces the design and construction of the cryogenic vertical test system for the superconducting cavity of ADS Injector I,including the system scheme design,process design,heat load analysis,2 K superfluid helium obtaining method,system commissioning and operation,etc.Results and Conclusion The static heat leakage at 2 K of the 2 K superfluid helium vertical test system of ADS Injector I is 1.624W,which has reached the international advanced level.The 2 K superfluid helium vertical test system of ADS Injector I after constructed not only meets the test requirements of ADS pilot project,but also conducts 4 K and 2 K vertical tests for other different types of superconducting cavities and relevant cryogenic experiments.Rui Ge Liangrui Sun Miaofu Xu Rui Ye Xiangzhen Zhang Minjing Sang Ruixiong Han Zhuo Zhang Jiehao Zhang Lin Bian Mei Li Changcheng Ma Tongxian Zhao Yongcheng Jiang Zhengze Chang Shaopeng Li 2020Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2020,4,2:2

14Phosphated IrMo bimetallic cluster for efficient hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Developing low-cost,high-performance electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is essential for producing hydrogen from renewable energy sources.Herein,we report phosphated IrMo bimetallic clusters supported by macroporous nitrogen-doped carbon(IrMoP/MNC)as a highly efficient alkaline HER catalyst.The experimental and theoretical results demonstrate that P and Mo synergistically tune the electronic structure of atomically dispersed Ir to improve adsorption of the reactant H_(2)O and desorption of the product OH^(-).P itself serves as an active site and cooperates with the nearby Ir atom to significantly enhance the HER kinetics.Even with only 2.6 wt%Ir in the catalyst,IrMoP/MNC exhibits an ultralow overpotential of 14 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2),as well as an unprecedented high mass activity of 18.58 A mg Ir^(-1) at an overpotential of 100 mV,superior to commercial Pt/C and overwhelmingly better than other Ir-based electrocatalysts.This study demonstrates a multi-level design strategy to effectively improve the atom efficiency of a noble metal,involving spatial geometry,local electronic structure,and dual-atom synergy.Xu Guo Xin Wan Qingtao Liu Yongcheng Li Wenwen Li Jianglan Shui 2022eScience2022,2,3:2

17Catalysis stability enhancement of Fe/Co dual-atom site via phosphorus coordination for proton exchange membrane fuel cell显示文摘Non-precious metal catalysts(NPMCs)are promising low-cost alternatives of Pt/C for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),which however suffer from serious stability challenge in the devices of proton-exchange-membrane fuel cells(PEMFC).Different from the traditional strategies of increasing the degree of graphitization of carbon substrates and using less Fenton-reactive metals,we prove here that proper regulation of coordination anions is also an effective way to improve the stability of NPMC.N/P cocoordinated Fe-Co dual-atomic-sites are constructed on ZIF-8 derived carbon support using a molecular precursor of C_(34)H_(28)Cl_(2)CoFeP_(2)and a“precursor-preselected”method.A composition of FeCoN_(5)P1 is infered for the dual-atom active site by microscopy and spectroscopy analysis.By comparing with N-coordinated references,we investigate the effect of P-coodination on the ORR catalysis of Fe-Co dual-atom catalysts in PEMFC.The metals in FeCoN_(5)P1 have the lower formation energy than those in the solo N-coordinated active sites of FeCoN6 and FeN_(4),and exhibits a much better fuel cell stability.This anion approach provides a new way to improve the stability of dual-atom catalysts.Yinuo Wang Xin Wan Jieyuan Liu Wenwen Li Yongcheng Li Xu Guo Xiaofang Liu Jiaxiang Shang Jianglan Shui 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:1
