| 1 | Analysis of ABC (D) stratification for screening patients with gastric cancer显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the value of ABC(D) stratification [combination of serum pepsinogen and Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) antibody]of patients with gastric cancer.METHODS:Ninety-five consecutive patients with gastric cancer were enrolled into the study.The serum pepsinogenⅠ(PGⅠ) /pepsinogenⅡ(PGⅡ) and H.pylori antibody levels were measured.Patients were classified into five groups of ABC(D) stratification according to their serological status.Endoscopic findings of atrophic gastritis and histological differentiation were also analyzed in relation to the ABC(D) stratification.RESULTS:The mean patient age was(67.9±8.9) years.Three patients(3.2%) were classified into group A,7 patients(7.4%) into group A',27 patients(28.4%) into group B,54 patients(56.8%) into group C,and 4patients(4.2%) into group D,respectively.There were only three cases in group A when the patients taking acid proton pump inhibitors and those who had undergone eradication therapy for H.pylori(group A') were excluded.These three cases had mucosal atrophy in the grey zone according to the diagnostic manual of ABC(D) stratification.Histologically,the mean age of the patients with well differentiated adenocarcinoma was significantly higher than that of the patients with poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma(P<0.05) .There were no differences in the pattern of atrophy in the endoscopies between the well differentiated and poorly differentiated groups.CONCLUSION:ABC(D) stratification is a good method for screening patients with gastric cancers.Endoscopy is needed for grey zone cases to check the extent of mucosal atrophy. | Tomohiro Kudo Satoru Kakizaki Naondo Sohara Yasuhiro Onozato Shinichi Okamura Yoshikatsu Inui Masatomo Mori | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，43： | 17 |

| 5 | Robust camera pose estimation by viewpoint classification using deep learning显示文摘Camera pose estimation with respect to target scenes is an important technology for superimposing virtual information in augmented reality(AR). However, it is difficult to estimate the camera pose for all possible view angles because feature descriptors such as SIFT are not completely invariant from every perspective. We propose a novel method of robust camera pose estimation using multiple feature descriptor databases generated for each partitioned viewpoint, in which the feature descriptor of each keypoint is almost invariant. Our method estimates the viewpoint class for each input image using deep learning based on a set of training images prepared for each viewpoint class. We give two ways to prepare these images for deep learning and generating databases. In the first method, images are generated using a projection matrix to ensure robust learning in a range of environments with changing backgrounds.The second method uses real images to learn a given environment around a planar pattern. | 6 | Delineation on Therapeutic Significance of Transporters as Molecular Targets of Drugs显示文摘Transporters are membrane proteins mediating permeation of organic and inorganic solutes through the plasma membrane and membranes of intracellular organella.They play essential roles in the epithelial absorption and cellular uptake of nutrients as well as absorption,distribution,metabolism,and excretion of drugs.Because transporters contribute to determining the distribution of compounds in the body in concert with metabolic/synthetic enzymes,the drugs that affect the functions of transporters are expected to alter the distribution of compounds in the body and to ameliorate disrupted homeostasis.In this context,drugs targeting transporters have been used clinically.Such drugs include antidepressants targeting monoamine transporters,diuretics targeting inorganic ion transporters of renal tubules,and uricosuric agents targeting renal urate transporters.Now new transporter-targeting drugs designed based on post-genome drug development strategy have been in the process of clinical trials or basic/clinical researches.For example,the inhibitors of renal Na+/glucose cotransporter SGLT2 have been proved for their efficacy in the treatment of diabetes mellitus.The cancer L-type amino acid transporter 1(LAT1) has been considered as a target of cancer diagnosis and therapeutics.The transporter-targeting drugs are expected to provide new rationale in the therapeutics of various diseases. | KANAI Yoshikatsu | 2011 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2011，3，3： | 2 |
