| 3 | A SKELETONIZATION ALGORITHM BASED ON EUCLIDEAN DISTANCE MAPS AND MORPHOLOGICAL OPERATORS显示文摘In this letter a new skeletonization algorithm is proposed. It combines techniques of fast construction of Euclidean Distance Maps(EDMs), ridge extraction, Hit-or-Miss Transformation(HMT) of structuring elements and the set operators. It first produces the EDM image with no more than 4 passes through an image of any kinds, and then the ridge image is extracted by applying a turn-on scheme and performing a rain-fall elimination to accelerate the processing. The one-pixel wide skeleton is finally acquired by carrying out the HMTs of two structure elements and the SUBTRACT and OR operations. First, the image is filtered using contour-preserving filters. Then it is quasi-flat labeled. | 19 | FRACTAL BLOCK CODING IN RESIDUE DOMAIN显示文摘A new block-based fractal image coding algorithm called Fractal Block Coding in Residue Domain (FBCRD) is proposed. In basic Fractal Block Coding (FBC) algorithm, each block (called range block) is encoded by an affine mapping from a domain block within the same image to itself. The decoder uses the parameters of these mappings to synthesize the reconstructed image through an iterative procedure. FBCRD is a modification of basic FBC. In FBCRD, range blocks and domain blocks are all residue blocks subtracted from their block means and both the parameters of affine mappings and block means are coded. This modification leads to fewer iterations at the decoder. An optimized decoding strategy is also introduced which reduces total decoding time by more than half of that of basic FBC. | 20 | Dihydroartemisinin increased the abundance of Akkermansia muciniphila by YAP1 depression that sensitizes hepatocellular carcinoma to anti-PD-1 immunotherapy显示文摘The effect of anti-programmed cell death 1(anti-PD-1)immunotherapy is limited in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Yes-associated protein 1(YAP1)expression increased in liver tumor cells in early HCC,and Akkermansia muciniphila abundance decreased in the colon.The response to anti-PD-1 treatment is associated with A.muciniphila abundance in many tumors.However,the interaction between A.muciniphila abundance and YAP1 expression remains unclear in HCC.Here,anti-PD-1 treatment decreased A.muciniphila abundance in the colon,but increased YAP1 expression in the tumor cells by mice with liver tumors in situ.Mechanistically,hepatocyte-specific Yap1 knockout(Yap1^(LKO))maintained bile acid homeostasis in the liver,resulting in an increased abundance of A.muciniphila in the colon.Yap1 knockout enhanced anti-PD-1 efficacy.Therefore,YAP1 inhibition is a potential target for increasing A.muciniphila abundance to promote anti-PD-1 efficacy in liver tumors.Dihydroartemisinin(DHA),acting as YAP1 inhibitor,increased A.muciniphila abundance to sensitize anti-PD-1 therapy.A.muciniphila by gavage increased the number and activation of CD8^(+)T cells in liver tumor niches during DHA treatment or combination with anti-PD-1.Our findings suggested that the combination anti-PD-1 with DHA is an effective strategy for liver tumor treatment. | Zhiqin Zhang Xinli Shi Jingmin Ji Yinglin Guo Qing Peng Liyuan Hao Yu Xue Yiwei Liu Caige Li Junlan Lu Kun Yu | 2023 | Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,4: | 0 |
