| 1 | Cross-cultural adaption and psychometric properties of the Chinese version of the Diabetes Behavior Rating Scale: a pilot study显示文摘Self-care behavior plays a major role in diabetic management. However, in China, a satisfactory instrument has not yet been developed to evaluate the compliance of self-care behavior for young patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1 DM). The Diabetes Behavior Rating Scale(DBRS) has a potential to be the first mature instrument. The purpose of this study is to cross-culturally adapt the DBRS, and preliminarily evaluate its psychometric properties. The instrument translation included translation, back translation and culture adaptation. Psychometric properties were assessed in a sample of 116 young patients with T1 DM adapting insulin injection therapy. The Chinese version of the DBRS was divided to four subscales. Cronbach's α for the total scale was 0.92. The mean inter-item and item-total correlations were 0.35 and 0.54 respectively. Test-retest reliability showed good temporal stability(r=0.81, P=0.001). Negative correlations were found between DBRS scores with the Diabetes Distress Scale scores(r=.0.32, P=0.003) and hemoglobin A1 c(HbA1 c) levels(r=.0.36, P=0.002). Higher DBRS scores correlated with better glycemic control. The Chinese insulin injection therapy version of the DBRS is well translated and culturally adapted. | 2 | In vitro and in vivo degradation behavior of Mg-2Sr-Ca and Mg-2Sr-Zn alloys显示文摘Magnesium alloys with integration of degradability and good mechanical performance are desired for orthopedic implants.In this paper,Mg-2Sr-Ca and Mg-2Sr-Zn alloys were prepared and the degradation as well as the bone response were investigated.Compared with the binary Mg-2Sr alloys,the addition of Ca and Zn improved the in vitro and in vivo corrosion resistance.Mg-2Sr-Ca and Mg-2Sr-Zn alloys exhibited more uniform corrosion and maintained the configuration of the implants 4 weeks post-implantation.The in vivo corrosion rates were 0.85 mm/yr for Mg-2Sr-Zn and 1.10 mm/yr for Mg-2Sr-Ca in comparison with 1.37 mm/yr for Mg-2Sr.The in vitro cell tests indicated that Mg-2Sr-Ca and Mg-2Sr-Zn alloys exhibited higher MG63 cell viability than Mg-2Sr alloy.Furthermore,these two alloys can promote the mineralization and new bone formation without inducing any significant adverse effects and this sound osteogenic properties suggest its attractive clinical potential. | Kai Chen Xinhui Xie Hongyan Tang Hui Sun Ling Qin Yufeng Zheng Xuenan Gu Yubo Fan | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,2: | 6 |

| 4 | Selenium Enrichment in Cambrian Stratabound Gold Deposits in the Western Qinling Mountains显示文摘Stratabound gold deposits in the western Qinling Mountains occur in Cambrian chert formation composed of carbonaceous chert and carbonaceous slate. The distinctive chert formation provides important grounds for the mineralization and controls on the formation of gold deposits. Study shows that Se is exceptionally higher in both host rocks and gold orebodies. It may be recovered as a valuable component in ores for total utilization, and in some localities even independent Se orebodies (which are mined exclusively for Se) may be delineated. | 11 | The Features and Regulation of Co-transcriptional Splicing in Arabidopsis显示文摘Precursor mRNA(pre-mRNA)splicing is essential for gene expression in most eukaryotic organisms.Previous studies from mammals,Drosophila,and yeast show that the majority of splicing events occurs co-transcriptionally.In plants,however,the features of co-transcriptional splicing(CTS)and its regulation still remain largely unknown.Here,we used chromatin-bound RNA sequencing to study CTS in Arabidopsis thaliana.We found that CTS is widespread in Arabidopsis seedlings,with a large proportion of alternative splicing events determined co-transcriptionally.CTS efficiency correlated with gene expression level,the chromatin landscape and,most surprisingly,the number of introns and exons of individual genes,but is independent of gene length.In combination with enhanced crosslinking and immunoprecipitation sequencing analysis,we further showed that the hnRNP-like proteins RZ-1B and RZ-1C promote efficient CTS globally through direct binding,frequently to exonic sequences.Notably,this general effect of RZ-1B/1C on splicing promotion is mainly observed at the chromatin level,not at the mRNA level.RZ-1C promotes CTS of multiple-exon genes in association with its binding to regions both proximal and distal to the regulated introns.We propose that RZ-1C promotes efficient CTS of genes with multiple exons through cooperative interactions with many exons,introns,and splicing factors.Our work thus reveals important features of CTS in plants and provides methodologies for the investigation of CTS and RNA-binding proteins in plants. | Danling Zhu Fei Mao Yuanchun Tian Xiaoya Lin Lianfeng Gu Hongya Gu Li-jia Qu Yufeng Wu Zhe Wu | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,2: | 1 |

| 14 | Effect of radial heat conduction on effective thermal conductivity of carbon nanotube bundles显示文摘The effect of the radial heat conduction on the effective thermal conductivity of carbon nanotube(CNT) bundles is studied by the nonequilibrium molecular dynamics(NEMD) method. The hexagonal CNT bundle consists of seven(10, 10) single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs). The radial heat conduction is induced by creating the vacancy defects in some segments of the constituent CNTs. Combined with the temperature differences and the inter-tube thermal resistances at the different segments,the radial heat flow in the CNT bundle is calculated. | 20 | A multichannel neural signal detecting module:Its design and test in animal experiments显示文摘A four-channel neural signal detecting module with an implantable 12-contact cuff electrode was designed for real-time neural signal recording on peripheral and central nerves. The mathematic coupling model between nerve and electronic system was analyzed. Electrode connection configurations were considered. The detecting circuit included an input coupling network, a pre-amplifier, and some filtering and notching stages. Shield guarding and the right-leg-driven circuit were developed for further elimination of common mode interference. By electrode switches, the module could cooperate with a nerve functional electrical stimulation circuit, building a neural channel bridge-connection system. It was tested by recording experiments on rat’s sciatic and spine nerves. The signals in spontaneous and evoked conditions have been captured successfully.
