| 1 | A new drug carrier:Magnetite nanoparticles coated with amphiphilic block copolymer显示文摘This paper reports on the synthesis and characterization of 4 nm magnetite nanoparticles coated with amphiphilic block copolymers of poly(ethyl methacrylate)-b-poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PEMA- b-PHEMA) by surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), which can act as new potential carriers for hydrophobic targeted drug delivery. Vibrating sample magnetometer analysis indi-cated that the magnetite nanoparticles were superparamagnetic at room temperature. Thermogravim-etric analysis (TGA) was applied to studying the property of surface of magnetite nanoparticles, and the surface density of macromolecules was calculated. The grafting density of oleic acid, BrMPA and PEMA was 5.8, 3.9, 0.16 chain/nm2 respectively, which indicates that the initiation efficiency decreases due to the influence of large space of oleic acid molecules. In vitro progesterone and (-)-isoproterenol hy-drochloride release in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) at pH 7.0 and 37℃ was conducted in order to demonstrate the function of drug loading and release. The results showed that the amount of drug carried into the core-shell Fe3O4@PEMA-b-PHEMA depends on the length of hydrophobic segment of block copolymer. | 2 | Cell sheet formation enhances the therapeutic effects of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells on myocardial infarction as a bioactive material显示文摘Stem cell-based therapy has been used to treat ischaemic heart diseases for two decades.However,optimal cell types and transplantation methods remain unclear.This study evaluated the therapeutic effects of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell(hUCMSC)sheet on myocardial infarction(MI).Methods:hUCMSCs expressing luciferase were generated by lentiviral transduction for in vivo bio-luminescent imaging tracking of cells.We applied a temperature-responsive cell culture surface-based method to form the hUCMSC sheet.Cell retention was evaluated using an in vivo bio-luminescent imaging tracking system.Unbiased transcriptional profiling of infarcted hearts and further immunohistochemical assessment of monocyte and macrophage subtypes were used to determine the mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects of the hUCMSC sheet.Echocardiography and pathological analyses of heart sections were performed to evaluate cardiac function,angiogenesis and left ventricular remodelling.Results:When transplanted to the infarcted mouse hearts,hUCMSC sheet significantly improved the retention and survival compared with cell suspension.At the early stage of MI,hUCMSC sheet modulated inflammation by decreasing Mcp1-positive monocytes and CD68-positive macrophages and increasing Cx3cr1-positive non-classical macrophages,preserving the cardiomyocytes from acute injury.Moreover,the extracellular matrix produced by hUCMSC sheet then served as bioactive scaffold for the host cells to graft and generate new epicardial tissue,providing mechanical support and routes for revascularsation.These effects of hUCMSC sheet treatment significantly improved the cardiac function at days 7 and 28 post-MI.Conclusions:hUCMSC sheet formation dramatically improved the biological functions of hUCMSCs,mitigating adverse post-MI remodelling by modulating the inflammatory response and providing bioactive scaffold upon transplantation into the heart.Translational perspective:Due to its excellent availability as well as superior local cellular retention and survival,allogenic transplantation of hUCMSC sheets can more effectively acquire the biological functions of hUCMSCs,such as modulating inflammation and enhancing angiogenesis.Moreover,the hUCMSC sheet method allows the transfer of an intact extracellular matrix without introducing exogenous or synthetic biomaterial,further improving its clinical applicability. | Rui Guo Feng Wan Masatoshi Morimatsu Qing Xu Tian Feng Hang Yang Yichen Gong Shuhong Ma Yun Chang Siyao Zhang Youxu Jiang Heqing Wang Dehua Chang Hongjia Zhang Yunpeng Ling Feng Lan | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,9: | 6 |
| 3 | Relation of Isotope Geochemical Steep Zones with Geophysical Fields and Tectonics in the Junction Area of the Cathaysian,Yangtze and Indochina Plates显示文摘Through lead isotope geochemical mapping in the Yunnan-Guizhou area geochemical steep zones (GSZ) have been established, which clearly reveal the junction relationship of the Cathaysian, Yangtze and Indo-China plates. GSZ are closey related to gravity Mono gradient zones and lithospheric thickness. The GSZ between the Yangtze and Cathaysian plates is consistent with the Shizong-Mile tectonic belt, where island arc basalts are well developed. The Yangtze-Indo-China GSZ is parallel to the Jingdong-Mojiang volcanic belt in rift-island arc environments. | 5 | Improving Language Translation Using the Hidden Markov Model显示文摘Translation software has become an important tool for communication between different languages.People’s requirements for translation are higher and higher,mainly reflected in people’s desire for barrier free cultural exchange.With a large corpus,the performance of statistical machine translation based on words and phrases is limited due to the small size of modeling units.Previous statistical methods rely primarily on the size of corpus and number of its statistical results to avoid ambiguity in translation,ignoring context.To support the ongoing improvement of translation methods built upon deep learning,we propose a translation algorithm based on the Hidden Markov Model to improve the use of context in the process of translation.During translation,our Hidden Markov Model prediction chain selects a number of phrases with the highest result probability to form a sentence.The collection of all of the generated sentences forms a topic sequence.Using probabilities and article sequences determined from the training set,our method again applies the Hidden Markov Model to form the final translation to improve the context relevance in the process of translation.This algorithm improves the accuracy of translation,avoids the combination of invalid words,and enhances the readability and meaning of the resulting translation. | Yunpeng Chang Xiaoliang Wang Meihua Xue Yuzhen Liu Frank Jiang | 2021 | Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,6: | 1 |

Tectonically, these areas were located in the foreland basins of craton margin. Thesegeochemical boundaries were usually associated with the low-temperature mineralization and petroleumgeneration. | 9 | Improvement of Camera Calibration Accuracy Based on Periodic Arrangement Characteristics of Calibration Target Pattern显示文摘Conventional camera calibration that employs calibration targets is a commonly used method to acquire a camera's intrinsic and/or extrinsic parameters. The calibration targets are usually designed as periodic arrays of simple high-contrast patterns that provide highly accurate world coordinate system points and the corresponding image pixel coordinate system points. The existing pixel coordinate extraction algorithms can reach a sub-pixel level; however, they treat each single pattern in one image as an independent individual, which makes it difficult to further improve extraction accuracy. In this paper, a novel method is proposed by utilizing the periodic arrangement characteristics of the calibration target pattern as a global constraint to improve the calibration accuracy. Based on a camera's pinhole model, the intersection point of two fitted curves is used as an optimized pixel point to replace the initial one. Following the pixel coordinate optimization procedures, experiments were performed using real data from a 3D laser line scanner and a dynamic precision calibration target. Our results show that the relative errors of camera homography matrix elements obtained by the proposed optimization method were reduced compared with the commonly used method. The average coordinate measurement accuracy can be improved by nearly 0.05 mm.
