1Evaluation of umami taste components of mushroom (Suillus granulatus) of different grades prepared by different drying methods显示文摘Suillus granulatus is a valuable wild edible mushroom with a strong umami taste.Different grades of S.granulatus were dried by different methods,including natural air drying(ND),hot air drying(HAD),vacuum drying(VD),and freeze drying(FD).Results showed that VD samples of all grades had the highest equivalent umami concentration(EUC)value(P<0.05).The second grade of ND samples showed the highest EUC value(P<0.05).The first grade of HAD samples showed the highest EUC value(P<0.05).The third grade of FD samples showed the highest EUC value(P<0.05).The third grade of VD samples had a higher EUC value than the other grades of samples dried by VD.Electronic tongue results indicated no significant differences between samples of all grades dried by all methods.Thus,umami taste components are affected by drying method and grade.VD is an appropriate drying method for all sample grades.ND,HAD,and FD are suitable for second-,first-,and third-grade samples,respectively.Xiuhong Zhao Yunyun Wei Xue Gong Heran Xu Guang Xin 2020Food Science and Human Wellness2020,9,2:7

3The Quaternary Pan-lake (Overflow) Period and Paleoclimate on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Lake geomorphology and high-level lacustrine deposits since the mid-late Pleistocene are well preserved in lakes of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. According to geological surveys of 17 lake districts in different locations of the plateau,combined with interpretations of satellite images and topographic maps, the authors studied the timing of formation and scopes of the pan-lake areas of the plateau and their paleoclimate. The latest two high lake levels (overflow surfaces) on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the Quaternary occurred at ~40 to 30/35 ka and ~65 to 53 ka respectively. In these time intervals, the plateau was covered by huge interconnected pan-lake systems with a total area of ~36 km2 and a total volume of lake water of >530 million km2, which are about 38 times and 659 times larger than those of the modem lakes respectively. Before this pan-lake period in the late Pleistocene, there had been three high lake levels that occurred at ~132-112 ka, 110-95 ka and 91-72/~83-75 ka respectively, suggesting that the late Quaternary climate on the plateau was unstable and changed rapidly. The ~40-30 ka high lake level also appeared in the Tengger desert north of the plateau,suggesting that there existed very strong summer monsoons from South Asia then; the variation in solar radiation with a 20,000 precessional period has special importance for the high-altitude Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the low-latitude zone of the Earth. Around 30 ka, the pan-lakes at the peripheries of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau drained out suddenly with rapid uplift of the plateau and cooling. In a short time the huge amount of cold lake water emptied into the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific. 4Desert vegetation distribution and species-environment relationships in an oasis-desert ecotone of northwestern China显示文摘Environmental heterogeneity significantly affects the structure of ecological communities.Exploring vegetation distribution and its relationship with environmental factors is essential to understanding the abiotic mechanism(s)driving vegetation succession,especially in the ecologically fragile areas.In this study,based on the quantitative analysis of plant community and environmental factors in 68 plots at 10 different transects in the Minqin oasis-desert ecotone(ODE)of northwestern China,we investigated desert vegetation distribution and species-environment relationships using multivariate analysis.Two-way indicator species analysis(TWINSPAN),detrended correspondence analysis(DCA),and canonical correspondence analysis(CCA)methods were used.A total of 28 species,belonging to 27 genera in 8 families,were identified.Chenopodiaceae,Zygophyllaceae,Gramineae,and Leguminosae were the largest families.Annual and perennial herbs accounted for 28.60%of the total number of plants,while shrubs(42.90%)were the most dominant.Nitraria tangutorum was the constructive species of the desert plant community.We divided the 68 plots surveyed in this study into 7 community types,according to the results of TWINSPAN.The distribution of these 7 communities in the DCA ordination graph showed that species with a similar ecotype were clustered together.Results of CCA indicated that groundwater was the dominant factor influencing vegetation distribution,while distance between plot and oasis(Dis)and soil electrical conductivity(EC)were the local second-order factors.Our study suggests that optimizing the utilization of groundwater in oases is key to controlling the degradation of desert vegetation.The favorable topographic conditions of sand dunes should be fully utilized for vegetal dune stabilization,and the influence of soil salinity on the selection of afforestation tree species should be considered.ZHAO Peng QU Jianjun XU Xianying YU Qiushi JIANG Shengxiu ZHAO Heran 2019Journal of Arid Land2019,11,3:2
5Performance simulation and optimization of new radiant floor heating based on micro heat pipe array显示文摘This paper proposes two new radiant floor heating structures based on micro heat pipe array(MHPA),namely cement-tile floor and keel-wood floor.The numerical models for these different floor structures are established and verified by experiments.The temperature distribution and heat transfer process of each part are comprehensively obtained,and the structure is optimized.The results show that the cement-tile floor has the better heat transfer performance of the two.When under the same inlet water temperature and flow rate,the keel-wood floor's surface temperature distribution is about 2℃ lower than that of the cement-tile floor.The inlet water temperature of cement-tile floor is about 10℃ lower than that of keel-wood structure when the floor surface temperature is the same.During a longitudinal heat transfer above MHPA,the floor surface temperature decreases by 0.5℃ for every 10 mm filling layer increase.In order to reduce the non-uniformity of the floor's surface temperature and improve the thermal comfort of the heated room,the optimal structure for a floor is given,with the maximum surface temperature difference reduced by 3.35℃.We used research focusing on new radiant floor heating,with advantages including high efficiency heat transfer,low water supply temperature,simple waterway structure,low resistance and leakage risk,to provide theory and data to support the application of an effective radiant floor heating based on MHPA.Heran Jing Zhenhua Quan Ruixue Dong Limin Hao Yunhan Liu Yaohua Zhao 2022Building Simulation2022,15,7:1

9Adaptive enhancement design of triply periodic minimal surface lattice structure based on non-uniform stress distribution显示文摘The Schwarz primitive triply periodic minimal surface(P-type TPMS)lattice structures are widely used.However,these lattice structures have weak load-bearing capacity compared with other cellular structures.In this paper,an adaptive enhancement design method based on the non-uniform stress distribution in structures with uniform thickness is proposed to design the P-type TPMS lattice structures with higher mechanical properties.Two types of structures are designed by adjusting the adaptive thickness distribution in the TPMS.One keeps the same relative density,and the other keeps the same of non-enhanced region thickness.Compared with the uniform lattice structure,the elastic modulus for the structure with the same relative density increases by more than 17%,and the yield strength increases by more than 10.2%.Three kinds of TPMS lattice structures are fabricated by laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)with 316L stainless steel to verify the proposed enhanced design.The manufacture-induced geometric deviation between the as-design and as-printed models is measured by micro X-ray computed tomography(μ-CT)scans.The quasi-static compression experimental results of P-type TPMS lattice structures show that the reinforced structures have stronger elastic moduli,ultimate strengths,and energy absorption capabilities than the homogeneous P-TPMS lattice structure.Yijin ZHANG Bin LIU Fei PENG Heran JIA Zeang ZHAO Shengyu DUAN Panding WANG Hongshuai LEI 2023Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2023,44,8:0
10BRD7 plays an anti-inflammatory role during early acute inflammation by inhibiting activation of the NF-кB signaling pathway显示文摘Increasing evidence has shown a strong association between tumor-suppressor genes and inflammation.However,the role of BRD7 as a novel tumor suppressor in inflammation remains unknown.In this study,by observing BRD7 knockout mice for 6–12 months,we discovered that compared with BRD7+/+mice,BRD7^(−/−)mice were more prone to inflammation,such as external inflammation and abdominal abscess.By using mouse embryo fibroblast(MEF)cells from the BRD7 knockout mouse,an in vitro lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-stimulated MEF cell line was established.The mRNA levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),chemokine(C-X-C motif)ligand 1(CXCL-1)and inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS)were significantly increased in BRD7^(−/−)MEF cells compared with BRD7+/+MEF cells after LPS stimulation for 1 or 6 h.In addition,the cytoplasm-to-nucleus translocation of nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB;p65)and an increased NF-κB reporter activity were observed in BRD7^(−/−)MEF cells at the 1 h time point but not at the 6 h time point.Furthermore,an in vivo dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced acute colitis model was created.As expected,the disease activity index(DAI)value was significantly increased in the BRD7^(−/−)mice after DSS treatment for 1–5 days,which was demonstrated by the presence of a significantly shorter colon,splenomegaly and tissue damage.Moreover,higher expression levels of IL-6,TNF-α,p65,CXCL-1 and iNOS,and an increased level of NF-κB(p65)nuclear translocation were also found in the DSS-treated BRD7^(−/−)mice.These findings suggest that BRD7 has an anti-inflammatory role during early acute inflammation by inhibiting activation of the NF-кB signaling pathway,which provides evidence to aid in understanding the therapeutic effects of BRD7 on inflammatory diseases.Ran Zhao Yukun Liu Heran Wang Jing Yang Weihong Niu Songqing Fan Wei Xiong Jian Ma Xiaoling Li Joshua B Phillips Ming Tan Yuanzheng Qiu Guiyuan Li Ming Zhou 2017Cellular & Molecular Immunology2017,14,10:0
11Study on Vegetation Characteristics & Soil Properties of Secondary Grassland in Farmland Areas Abandoned for Different Years in Minqin Oasis显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the vegetation community characteristics and soil properties of secondary grassland in abandoned farmland areas of different years in Minqin Oasis. [Methods] By the method of space-for-time substitution, the changes of vegetation community characteristics(species composition, structural characteristics and important values) and soil microbial and enzyme activity were determined, and the correlation between various soil factors was analyzed. [Results](1) There were 39 species belonging to 32 genera of 15 families in the research area, including 8 shrub plants, 15 perennial herbs and 16 annual herbs.(2) Soil microbial biomass carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus contents were higher in the upper layer than in the lower layer, and the phenomenon of “surface aggregation” was obvious. The differences were different with the change of abandoned years.(3) Soil catalase content was the highest among different plots, and soil phosphatase, sucrase and urease all showed a trend of fluctuating decline with the increase in abandoned years. Soil enzyme changes were different in different soil layers. 12Mesoporous silica nanoparticles with chiral pattern topological structure function as“antiskid tires”on the intestinal mucosa to facilitate oral drugs delivery显示文摘The weak adhesion between nanocarriers and the intestinal mucosa was one of the main reasons caused the failure in oral delivery.Inspired by the“antiskid tires”with complex chiral patterns,mesoporous silica nanoparticles AT-R@CMSN exhibiting geometrical chiral structure were designed to improve the surface/interface roughness in nanoscale,and employed as the hosting system for insoluble drugs nimesulide(NMS)and ibuprofen(IBU).Once performing the delivery tasks,AT-R@CMSN with rigid skeleton protected the loaded drug and reduced the irritation of drug on gastrointestinal tract(GIT),while their porous structure deprived drug crystal and improved drug release.More importantly,AT-R@CMSN functioned as“antiskid tire”to produce higher friction on intestinal mucosa and substantively influencedmultiple biological processes,including“contact”,“adhesion”,“retention”,“permeation”and“uptake”,compared to the achiral S@MSN,thereby improving the oral adsorption effectiveness of such drug delivery systems.By engineering AT-R@CMSN to overcome the stability,solubility and permeability bottlenecks of drugs,orally administered NMS or IBU loaded AT-R@CMSN could achieve higher relative bioavailability(705.95%and 444.42%,respectively)and stronger anti-inflammation effect.In addition,AT-R@CMSN displayed favorable biocompatibility and biodegradability.Undoubtedly,the present finding helped to understand the oral adsorption process of nanocarriers,and provided novel insights into the rational design of nanocarriers.Wei Xin Lin Wang Jiahui Lin Yanbu Wang Qi pan Yang Han Zhiye Bao Shun Zong Ying Cheng Xuchun Chen Lin Zhao Heran Li 2023Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2023,18,2:0
13Energy status regulated umami compound metabolism in harvested shiitake mushrooms(Lentinus edodes)with spores triggered to release显示文摘The molecular mechanisms of energy status related to the umami taste of postharvest shiitake mushrooms during spore release remain poorly understood.In this study,the variations of energy status and umami taste of mushrooms were measured at 25℃.At 24 h storage,slight spore prints of mushrooms were first pictured,respiration peaked.Significant ATP decrease and ADP increase were also observed as the initiation of postharvest senescence(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the activities of phosphohexose isomerase,succinate dehydrogenase,glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and cytochrome c oxidase and the contents of umami nucleotides and amino acids were maintained at higher levels in mushrooms with spore release.Notably,the equivalent umami concentration(EUC)was strongly correlated with energy levels(R=0.80).Fifteen related gene expression levels in the energy metabolism pathway were downregulated.LecpdP1 and LeAK were significantly expressed in the conversion of ATP into AMP and played key roles in connecting the energy state and umami level.These results provided valuable insights on the umami taste associated with energy metabolism mechanism during postharvest mushroom spore release.Rongrong Xia Xuemei Zhao Guang Xin Libin Sun Heran Xu Zhenshan Hou Yunting Li Yafei Wang 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,1:0
