| 1 | Somatic Embryogenesis Receptor Kinases Control Root Development Mainly via Brassinosteroid-Independent Actions in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Brassinosteroids(BRs),a group of plant steroidal hormones,play critical roles in many aspects of plant growth and development.Previous studies showed that BRI1-mediated BR signaling regulates cell division and differentiation during Arabidopsis root development via interplaying with auxin and other phytohormones.Arabidopsis somatic embryogenesis receptor-like kinases(SERKs),as co-receptors of BRI1,were found to play a fundamental role in an early activation step of BR signaling pathway.Here we report a novel function of SERKs in regulating Arabidopsis root development.Genetic analyses indicated that SERKs control root growth mainly via a BR-independent pathway.Although BR signaling pathway is completely disrupted in the serk1 bak1 bkk1 triple mutant,the root growth of the triple mutant is much severely damaged than the BR deficiency or signaling null mutants.More detailed analyses indicated that the triple mutant exhibited drastically reduced expression of a number of genes critical to polar auxin transport,cell cycle,endodermis development and root meristem differentiation,which were not observed in null BR biosynthesis mutant cpd and null BR signaling mutant bri1-701. | Junbo Du Hongju Yin Shasha Zhang Zhuoyun Wei Baolin Zhao Jinghua Zhang Xiaoping Gou Honghui Lin Jia Li | 2012 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2012,54,6: | 22 |

| 3 | A structural and data-driven approach to engineering a plant cytochrome P450 enzyme显示文摘Functional manipulation of biosynthetic enzymes such as cytochrome P450 s(or P450 s) has attracted great interest in metabolic engineering of plant natural products.Cucurbitacins and mogrosides are plant triterpenoids that share the same backbone but display contrasting bioactivities.This structural and functional diversity of the two metabolites can be manipulated by engineering P450 s.However,the functional redesign of P450 s through directed evolution(DE) or structure-guided protein engineering is time consuming and challenging,often because of a lack of high-throughput screening methods and crystal structures of P450 s.In this study,we used an integrated approach combining computational protein design,evolutionary information,and experimental data-driven optimization to alter the substrate specificity of a multifunctional P450(CYP87 D20)from cucumber.After three rounds of iterative design and evaluation of 96 protein variants,CYP87 D20,which is involved in the cucurbitacin C biosynthetic pathway,was successfully transformed into a P450 mono-oxygenase that performs a single specific hydroxylation at C11 of cucurbitadienol.This integrated P450-engineering approach can be further applied to create a de novo pathway to produce mogrol,the precursor of the natural sweetener mogroside,or to alter the structural diversity of plant triterpenoids by functionally manipulating other P450 s. | Dawei Li Yongshuo Ma Yuan Zhou Junbo Gou Yang Zhong Lingling Zhao Lida Han Sergey Ovchinnikov Ling Ma Sanwen Huang Per Greisen Yi Shang | 2019 | Science China(Life Sciences)2019,62,7: | 5 |
| 4 | Alda-1 treatment promotes the therapeutic effect of mitochondrial transplantation for myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury显示文摘Mitochondrial damage is a critical driver in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion(I/R)injury and can be alleviated via the mitochondrial transplantation.The efficiency of mitochondrial transplantation is determined by mitochondrial vitality.Because aldehyde dehydrogenase 2(ALDH2)has a key role in regulating mitochondrial homeostasis,we aimed to investigate its potential therapeutic effects on mitochondrial transplantation via the use of ALDH2 activator,Alda-1.Our present study demonstrated that time-dependent internalization of exogenous mitochondria by cardiomyocytes along with ATP production were significantly increased in response to mitochondrial transplantation.Furthermore,Alda-1 treatment remarkably promoted the oxygen consumption rate and baseline mechanical function of cardiomyocytes caused by mitochondrial transplantation.Mitochondrial transplantation inhibited cardiomyocyte apoptosis induced by the hypoxia-reoxygenation exposure,independent of Alda-1 treatment.However,promotion of the mechanical function of cardiomyocytes exposed to hypoxia-reoxygenation treatment was only observed after mitochondrial Alda-1 treatment and transplantation.By using a myocardial I/R mouse model,our results revealed that transplantation of Alda-1-treated mitochondria into mouse myocardial tissues limited the infarction size after I/R injury,which was at least in part due to increased mitochondrial potential-mediated fusion.In conclusion,ALDH2 activation in mitochondrial transplantation shows great potential for the treatment of myocardial I/R injury. | Xiaolei Sun Rifeng Gao Wenjia Li Yongchao Zhao Heng Yang Hang Chen Hao Jiang Zhen Dong Jingjing Hu Jin Liu Yunzeng Zou Aijun Sun Junbo Ge | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,7: | 5 |
| 5 | Three Dimensional Laser Point Cloud Slicing Method for Calculating Irregular Volume显示文摘Volume parameter is the basic content of a spatial body object morphology analysis.However,the challenge lies in the volume calculation of irregular objects.The point cloud slicing method proposed in this study effectively works in calculating the volume of the point cloud of the spatial object obtained through three-dimensional laser scanning(3DLS).In this method,a uniformly spaced sequent slicing process is first conducted in a specific direction on the point cloud of the spatial object obtained through 3DLS.A series of discrete point cloud slices corresponding to the point cloud bodies are then obtained.Subsequently,the outline boundary polygon of the point cloud slicing is searched one by one in accordance with the slicing sequence and areas of the polygon.The point cloud slice is also calculated.Finally,the individual point cloud section volume is calculated through the slicing areas and the adjacent slicing gap.Thus,the total volume of the scanned spatial object can be calculated by summing up the individual volumes.According to the results and analysis of the calculated examples,the slice-based volume-calculating method for the point cloud of irregular objects obtained through 3DLS is correct,concise in process,reliable in results,efficient in calculation methods,and controllable on accuracy.This method comes as a good solution to the volume calculation of irregular objects. | Bin LI Xiaofa ZHAO Yong CHEN Junbo WEI Lu WANG Bochao MA | 2019 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2019,2,4: | 5 |

| 8 | Extranodal involvement in young patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: distribution, prognostic value and treatment options显示文摘Objective: Extranodal involvement represents a peculiar presentation of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL). Previous studies have suggested that older patients are more prone to extranodal involvement. This study retrospectively addressed the distribution, prognostic value and treatment options of extranodal involvement in young patients with DLBCL.Methods: A total of 329 patients were enrolled according to the inclusion requirements. The effects of gender,extranodal involvement, age-adjusted international prognostic index(aa IPI), rituximab infusion and radiotherapy on patient outcomes were evaluated.Results: Among these patients, 59% presented extranodal involvement in 16 anatomic sites. More than one instance was linked to many poorer clinical characteristics and poorer survival compared with either nodal disease or one instance. In patients with one extranodal lesion, multivariate analysis revealed that the site of extranodal involvement, but not the aa IPI or rituximab infusion, was independently related to the outcome, and radiotherapy had a negative influence on survival.Conclusions: Extranodal involvement is common in younger patients and exhibits a ubiquitous distribution.The site of extranodal involvement is of strong prognostic significance. In addition, the uncertainties of gas loads are considered when studying the role of gas supply for gas-fired units in power system operations. The nonlinear gas system constraints are converted to the second-order cone forms that allow for the use of the Benders decomposition techniques and the interior-point method to obtain the optimal solution. The numerical results of the modified IEEE 118-bus test system that integrates the Belgium 20-node natural gas system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model. | 20 | Strain-sensitive ferromagnetic two-dimensional Cr_(2)Te_(3)显示文摘Searching for room temperature magnetic two-dimensional(2D)materials is a charming goal,but the number of satisfied materials is tiny.Strain can introduce considerable deformation into the lattice structure of 2D materials,and thus significantly modulate their intrinsic properties.In this work,we demonstrated a remarkable strain-modulated magnetic properties in the chemical vapor deposited Cr_(2)Te_(3) nanoflakes grown on mica substrate.We found the Curie temperature of Cr_(2)Te_(3) nanoflakes can be positively and negatively modulated under tensile and compressive strain respectively,with a maximum varied value of -40 and-90 K,dependent on the thickness of samples.Besides,the coercive field of Cr_(2)Te_(3) nanoflakes also showed a significant decrease under the applied strain,suggesting the decrease of exchange interaction or the change of the magnetization direction.This work suggests a promise to employ interfacial strain to accelerate the practical application of room temperature 2D magnetics. | Junchuan Zhong Mingshan Wang Teng Liu Yinghe Zhao Xiang Xu Shasha Zhou Junbo Han Lin Gan Tianyou Zhai | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,2: | 1 |
