1Blood-letting punctures at twelve Jing-Well points of the hand can treat cerebral ischemia in a similar manner to mannitol显示文摘A rat model of middle cerebral artery permanent occlusion was established using the modified Longa method.Successfully established model animals were treated by blood-letting puncture at twelve Jing-Well points of the hand,and/or by injecting mannitol into the caudal vein twice daily.Brain tissue was collected at 24,48 and 72 hours after modeling,and blood was collected through the retinal vein before Evans blue was injected,approximately 1 hour prior to harvesting of brain tissue.Results showed that Evans blue leakage into brain tissue and serum nitric oxide synthase activity were significantly increased in model rats.Treatment with blood-letting punctures at twelve Jing-Well points of the hand and/or injection of mannitol into the caudal vein reduced the amount of Evans blue leakage into the brain tissue and serum nitric oxide synthase activity to varying degrees.There was no significant difference between single treatment and combined treatment.Experimental findings indicate that blood-letting punctures at twelve Jing-Well points of the hand can decrease blood-brain barrier permeability and serum nitric oxide synthase activity in rats following middle cerebral artery occlusion,and its effect is similar to that of mannitol injection alone and Jing-Well points plus mannitol injection.Xuan Lu Zelin Chen Yi Guo Liang Gao Liyuan Jiang Zhongzheng Li Jianqiao Fang 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,6:14
2Effects of bloodletting puncture at Jing-Well points in distal ends of finger and toe on survival rate and brain edema in cerebral ischemic rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of bloodletting puncture at Jing-Well points in the distal ends of the finger and toe on survival rate,survival time,and brain edema in rats with cerebral ischemia.METHODS:Fifty-four male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups:normal,sham operation,model,bloodletting puncture at Jing-Well points in distal ends of finger and toe,and puncture without bloodletting at these points.Middle cerebral artery occlusion models were established according to Longa's method.The brains were taken 48 h after the model was established.Brain water content,brain density,brain coefficient,survival rate,and survival time in each group were measured.RESULTS:After bloodletting puncture,the survival time of the rats was prolonged,their brain water content and brain coefficient were reduced,and brain density was increased.CONCLUSION:Bloodletting puncture at Jing-Well points in the distal ends of the finger and toe can improve function in ischemic brain edema.Liang Gao Zelin Chen Lixin Tian Zhongzheng Li Yi Guo 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,3:13
3Top-emitting thermally activated delayed fluorescence organic light-emitting devices with weak light-matter coupling显示文摘Resonance interaction between a molecular transition and a confined electromagnetic field can lead to weak or strong light-matter coupling.Considering the substantial exciton–phonon coupling in thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)materials,it is thus interesting to explore whether weak light-matter coupling can be used to redistribute optical density of states and to change the rate of radiative decay.Here,we demonstrate that the emission distribution of TADF emitters can be reshaped and narrowed in a top-emitting organic light-emitting device(OLED)with a weakly coupled microcavity.The Purcell effect of weak microcavity is found to be different for TADF emitters with different molecular orientations.We demonstrate that radiative rates of the TADF emitters with vertical orientation can be substantial increased in weakly coupled organic microcavity.These observations can enhance external quantum efficiencies,reduce efficiency roll-off,and improve color-purities of TADF OLEDs,especially for emitters without highly horizontal orientation.Chunxiu Zang Shihao Liu Mengxin Xu Ruifang Wang Chen Cao Zelin Zhu Jiaming Zhang Hui Wang Letian Zhang Wenfa Xie Chun-Sing Lee 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,7:7

5An analytic study on the deflection of subway tunnel due to adjacent excavation of foundation pit显示文摘Predicting and estimating the response of subway tunnel to adjacent excavation of foundation pit is a research focus in the field of underground engineering.Based on the principle of two-stage method and incremental method, an analytic approach is suggested in this paper to solve this problem in an accurate and rapid way,and the upheavals of tunnel due to adjacent excavation are solved by analytic method. Besides, the presented method is used in the practical engineering case of Shenzhen Metro Line 11 and verified by numerical simulation and in situ measurement. Finally, a parametric analysis is performed to investigate the influence of different factors on tunnel's deflection. Some useful conclusions have been drawn from the research as below: The deflection results of tunnel obtained from analytic method are nearly consistent with the results getting from numerical analysis and measured data, which verified the accuracy and rationality of presented method. The excavation size has a significant impact on both the displacement values and influenced range of tunnel. However, the relative distance only impacts the displacement values of tunnel, but not the influenced range of tunnel. 6Advances in environmental behaviors and effects of dissolved organic matter in aquatic ecosystems显示文摘Dissolved organic matter(DOM) is a group of compounds that have complex chemical structures and multiple interactions with their surrounding materials. More than one trillion tons of DOM are stocked in the world's aquatic ecosystems. DOM is a very important part of aquatic ecosystem productivity and plays a crucial role in global carbon cycling. DOM has rich environmental behaviors and effects such as influencing the bioavailability of contaminants, serving as an important inducer of reactive oxygen species(ROS), and protecting aquatic organisms from the harm of dangerous ultraviolet radiation. There have been many systematic studies on the composition, structure, and sources of DOM because such studies are much easier to conduct than studies on the environmental behaviors and effects of DOM. Due to many factors, the research systems of DOM's environmental behaviors and effects are still being developed and have become a hotspot of environmental science. This review paper focuses on some critical progress, problems, and trends of DOM's environmental behaviors and effects in aquatic ecosystems, including mutual exchange mechanisms between DOM and particulate organic matter(POM) with influencing factors, photochemical behaviors of DOM especially inducing ROS, binding interactions between DOM and anthropogenic organic contaminants(AOC), interactions between DOM and microorganisms, effects of DOM on pollutants' bioavailability, ecotoxicity, and ecological risks. 10In-situ observation and modeling approach to evolution of pore-fracture structure in coal显示文摘The characterisation of the pore-fracture structure(PFS)and its evolution in coal during mining are essential for preventing gas outbursts and improving gas extraction efficiency.In this study,the evolution of the PFS in coal samples under the condition of mining stress was directly captured in situ by combination of the mechanical testing system with high-precision visualisation nuclear magnetic resonance equipment.A fractional derivative model was established to describe the relationship between stress and porosity based on experimental results of the PFS under different stress states.The results showed that with an increase in the deviatoric stress,the adsorption pore content increases rapidly initially and then increases slowly or remains unchanged;the seepage pore and fracture(SPF)content decreases initially and then increases.The SPF compressibility coefficient decreases with an increase in the deviatoric stress.The fractional derivative model can accurately describe the stress sensitivity of the SPFs at the pre-peak stage,thus providing a new approach for accurately characterising the seepage characteristics of coal reservoirs.Hongwei Zhou Zelin Liu Jiawei Zhao Bocen Chen Xiangnan Li Jiangcheng Zhong 2023International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2023,33,3:1
11Preparation, Characterization and in vitro Release of Chitosan-stavudine Conjugate Nano-prodrug显示文摘Chitosan-stavudine (d4T) conjugate with a succinic spacer was synthesized via carbodiimide coupling reaction and structurally characterized. In order to nanosize it for improving its therapeutic properties, the chitosan-5'-O-succinyl-d4T conjugate was crosslinked with sodium tripolyphosphate (TPP) to obtain the chitosan-d4T conjugate nano-prodrug. The morphologies of chitosan-d4T conjugate nanoparticles were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and their zeta potential, particle size, and polydispersity (size distribution) were measured by the dynamic light scattering (DLS) techniques. In vitro drug release studies at pH 1.1 and pH 7.4 indicate that the crosslinked chitosan-d4T conjugate nano-prodrug can prevent the coupled d4T from leaking out before entering the target viral reservoirs and provide a mild sustained release without the burst release. 16Isorhamnetin protects zearalenone-induced damage via the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in porcine ovarian granulosa cells显示文摘Zearalenone(ZEA)is widely derived from moldy cereal grain,which has adverse effects on animal reproduction.In particular,pigs are more sensitive to ZEA-induced toxicity than other animals.Isorhamnetin has extensive pharmacological activity.However,the role of isorhamnetin in ZEA-induced cytotoxicity remains unclear.This study was designed to investigate the therapeutic effect of isorhamnetin on ZEA-induced damage in porcine ovarian granulosa cells and elucidate its molecular mechanism.Two experiments were conducted,where a minimum of 3 biological replicates were used for each treatment.In Exp.1,ovarian granulosa cells were treated with different concentrations of isorhamnetin(1,5,10,20 and 30μmol/L)and ZEA(0,10,30,60,90 and 120μmol/L)for 24 h.Our results indicated that 60μmol/L ZEA(half-maximal inhibitory concentration value)and 20μmol/L isorhamnetin(the most effective concentration against ZEA-induced cytotoxicity)were optimum concentrations.In Exp.2,ovarian granulosa cells were treated with isorhamnetin(20μmol/L)for 2 h,before treatment with ZEA(60μmol/L)for 24 h.Apoptosis,endoplasmic reticulum stress,oxidative stress,proliferation and hormone secretion of ovarian granulosa cells were detected.Our findings showed that isorhamnetin suppressed(P<0.05)ZEA-induced apoptosis by altering mitochondrial membrane potential and apoptosis-related proteins(B-cell lymphoma-2[Bcl-2],Bcl2-associated x[Bax]and cleaved caspase-3[C-Casp3]).Changes in intracellular Ca2+levels and C/EBP homologous protein(CHOP),recombinant activating transcription factor 6(ATF6),glucose regulated protein78 k D(GRP78)indicated that isorhamnetin rescued(P<0.05)ZEA-induced endoplasmic reticulum stress.Furthermore,isorhamnetin prevented(P<0.05)ZEA-induced oxidative stress via the mitogen-activated protein kinase(P38)signaling pathway.Mechanistically,isorhamnetin stimulated(P<0.05)the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)and cyclin D,thereby increasing the ratio of S phase cells in response to ZEAinduced apoptosis via phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase/protein kinase B(PI3K/Akt)signaling pathway.Isorhamnetin also recovered(P<0.05)ZEA-induced steroidogenesis disorder by regulating steroidogenic enzyme gene and proteins(follicle-stimulating hormone receptor[FSHR]and cytochrome P450 family 19subfamily a member 1[CYP19A1]).Collectively,these findings show that isorhamnetin protects ovarian granulosa cells from ZEA-induced damage,which promotes proliferation,alleviates apoptosis,endoplasmic reticulum stress,oxidative stress,and steroidogenesis disorder.Xiaoya Li Huali Chen Zelin Zhang Jiaxin Duan Rongmao Hua Xiaodi Li Li Yang Jianyong Cheng Qingwang Li 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,4:1

19Experimental investigation in the permeability of methane hydratebearing fine quartz sands显示文摘The permeability is one of the intrinsic parameters that determines the fluid flow in the porous media.The permeability in hydrate-bearing sediments affects the gas recovery and production of hydrate reservoirs significantly.The irregular permeability characteristics are challenging for fine-grained hydratebearing sediments.In this study,a series of experiments was conducted using an one-dimensional pressure vessel to investigate the hydrate formation characteristics and the permeability in hydratebearing fine quartz sands(volume weighted mean diameter was 36.695 mm).Hydrate saturations(0 e26%in volume)were controlled and calculated precisely based on the amount of injected water and gas,the system pressure and temperature.The results indicated that the hydrate nucleation induction period was completed during gas injection,and the average time of hydrate formation was within 500 min.The permeability of methane hydrate-bearing fine quartz sands was investigated by steady gas volume flow.For hydrate saturation lower than 13.94%,the hydrate mostly formed in grain-coating,the permeability reduction exponent calculated by Parallel Capillary,Kozeny Grain Coats and Simple Cubic Filling models were 2.00,2.10 and 1.74 respectively,and Simple Cubic Filling model was in accordance with the experimental data best.However,for hydrate saturation ranged from 13.94%to 25.91%,the permeability increased due to the flocculation structure formation of fine quartz sands and hydrate,which caused the increase of effective porosity.A new relationship among hydrate saturations,effective porosity,the ratio of permeability in the presence and the absence of hydrate was developed.This study developed the mathematical models for predicting the permeability with hydrate saturation in fine quartz sands,which could be valuable for understanding the characteristics of hydrate-bearing finegrained sediments.Zelin Xu Gang Li Xiaosen Li Hao Chen Qiunan Lv Changwen Xiao 2021Petroleum2021,7,4:1
20Regulatory Role of Retinoic Acid in Male Pregnancy of the Seahorse显示文摘Seahorses epitomize the exuberance of evolution.They have the unique characteristic of male pregnancy,which includes the carrying of many embryos in a brood pouch that incubates and nourishes the embryos,similar to the mammalian placenta.However,the regulatory networks underlying brood pouch formation and pregnancy remain largely unknown.In this study,comparative transcriptomic and metabolomic profiling on the lined seahorse Hippocampus erectus,with unformed,newly formed,and pregnant brood pouches identified a total of 141 and 2,533 differentially expressed genes together with 73 and 121 significantly differential metabolites related to brood pouch formation and pregnancy,respectively.Specifically,integrative omics analysis revealed that retinoic acid(RA)synthesis and signaling pathway played essential roles in the formation of the brood pouch and pregnancy.RA might function upstream of testosterone and progesterone,thereby directly influencing brood pouch formation by regulating the expression of fshr and cyp7a1.Our results also revealed that RA regulates antioxidant defenses,particularly during male pregnancy.Alternatively,pregnancy caused a consistent decrease in RA,canthaxanthin,astaxanthin,and glutathione synthetase,and an increase in susceptibility to oxidative stress,which may balance brood pouch development and reproduction in seahorses and pave the way to successful gestation.Chunyan Li Yongxin Li Geng Qin Zelin Chen Meng Qu Bo Zhang Xue Han Xin Wang Pei-yuan Qian Qiang Lin 2020The Innovation2020,1,3:0
