| 3 | LncDACH1 promotes mitochondrial oxidative stress of cardiomyocytes by interacting with sirtuin3 and aggravates diabetic cardiomyopathy显示文摘Diabetic cardiomyopathy(DCM)is a common complication in diabetic patients.The molecular mechanisms of DCM remain to be fully elucidated.The intronic long noncoding RNA of DACH1(lnc DACH1)has been demonstrated to be closely associated with heart failure and cardiac regeneration.In this study,we investigated the role of lnc DACH1 in DCM and the underlying molecular mechanisms.The expression of lnc DACH1 was increased in DCM hearts and in high glucose-treated cardiomyocytes.Knockout of lnc DACH1 reduced mitochondrial oxidative stress,cell apoptosis,cardiac fibrosis and hypertrophy,and improved cardiac function in DCM mice.Overexpression of lnc DACH1 exacerbated mitochondria-derived reactive oxygen species(ROS)level and apoptosis,decreased activity of manganese superoxide dismutase(Mn-SOD);while silencing of lnc DACH1 attenuated ROS production,mitochondrial dysfunction,cell apoptosis,and increased the activity of Mn-SOD in cardiomyocytes treated with high glucose.Lnc DACH1 directly bound to sirtuin3(SIRT3)and facilitated its degradation by ubiquitination,therefore promoting mitochondrial oxidative injury and cell apoptosis in mouse hearts.In addition,SIRT3 silencing abrogated the protective effects of lnc DACH1 deficiency in cardiomyocytes.In summary,lnc DACH1 aggravates DCM by promoting mitochondrial oxidative stress and cell apoptosis via increasing ubiquitination-mediated SIRT3 degradation in mouse hearts.Inhibition of lnc DACH1 represents a novel therapeutic strategy for the intervention of diabetic cardiomyopathy. | Qi Zhang Danyang Li Xue Dong Xiaowen Zhang Junwu Liu Lili Peng Bo Meng Qi Hua Xinyu Pei Lu Zhao Xiaoxi Hu Yang Zhang Zhenwei Pan Yanjie Lu Baofeng Yang | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,6: | 4 |

| 5 | Payments for watershed ecosystem services:mechanism,progress and challenges显示文摘Introduction:Payment for watershed ecosystem services(PWES),a policy instrument for compensating for the externality of watershed ecosystem/environmental services,has gained in policy importance in China over the past two decades.Many scholars and researchers have contributed to the conceptualization of this policy framework by developing operational mechanisms as well as compensation standards for PWES.Outcomes:This article reviews 27 PWES schemes piloted in China and in 10 other countries,with a particular emphasis on successful cases of land-use conversion programs,such as the Paddy Land to Dry Land Program and Sloping Land Conversion Program that have been implemented in China.Discussion:By comparing different cases,the authors attempt to answer the following questions:what were the ecological and institutional contexts in which these schemes were established and how did they work?What were the actual efficiencies and impacts of these piloted schemes?Which scheme worked better in certain ecological,socio-economic,and institutional contexts?Conclusion:Based on case studies,the authors draw the following conclusions about Chinese PWES:(1)to establish an acceptable standard for a PWES program,it is necessary to estimate the economic and social costs regarding the livelihoods of households;(2)multistakeholder negotiation mechanism for PWES,including intermediaries,such as the local government,NGO/NPOs,village committees,and user associations,should be used;(3)ES,non-market services,should acquire positive externalities to accomplish an optimal win–win pattern concerning both environmental goals and the livelihoods of local resource users. | Danyang Feng Wenliang Wu Long Liang Li Li Guishen Zhao | 2018 | Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2018,4,1: | 2 |
| 6 | Validation results of NmF2 and hmF2 derived from ionospheric density profiles of GNOS on FY-3C satellite显示文摘The first Global Navigation Satellite System Occultation Sounder(GNOS) which is compatible of both Bei Dou System(BDS)and Global Positioning System(GPS) was successfully launched into orbit onboard the Feng Yun 3 C satellite(FY-3 C) on September 23, 2013, and it has already gathered a large amount of ionosphere radio occultation(RO) data so far. However, the detailed analysis and validation of GPS ionosphere RO data have not been done up to now. Therefore, this paper discusses the configuration of the FY-3 C GNOS, the methods and results of GPS ionosphere occultation processment, the quality analysis of the GPS ionosphere RO products, and the precision consistency between the GNOS GPS ionosphere RO product and ionosonde data. The peak electron density(Nm F2) correlation coefficient is 0.97, the corresponding standard deviation is 16.08%. The peak value altitude(hm F2) correlation coefficient is 0.89, and the corresponding standard deviation is 23.79 km. | 9 | Adenosine triphosphate-sensitive potassium channel opener protects PC12 cells against hypoxia-induced apoptosis through PI3K/Akt and Bcl-2 signaling pathways显示文摘Although previous studies have shown the neuroprotective effects of the adenosine triphosphate(ATP)-sensitive potassium(KATP) channel opener against ischemic neuronal damage,little is known about the mechanisms involved.Phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase(PI3K)/v-akt murine thy-moma viral oncogene homolog(Akt) and Bcl-2 are thought to be important factors that mediate neuroprotection.The present study investigated the effects of KATP openers on hypoxia-induced PC12 cell apoptosis,as well as mRNA and protein expression of Akt and Bcl-2.Results demon-strated that pretreatment of PC12 cells with pinacidil,a KATP opener,resulted in decreased PC12 cell apoptosis following hypoxia,as detected by Annexin-V fluorescein isothiocyanate/propidium iodide double staining flow cytometry.In addition,mRNA and protein expression of phosphory-lated Akt(p-Akt) and Bcl-2 increased,as detected by immunofluorescence,Western blot analysis,and reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction.The protective effect of this preconditioning was attenuated by glipizide,a selective KATP blocker.These results demonstrate for the first time that the protective mechanisms of KATP openers on PC12 cell apoptosis following hypoxia could result from activation of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway,which further activates expression of the downstream Bcl-2 gene. | Hong Zhang Chunhong Jia Danyang Zhao Yang Lu Runling Wang Jia Li | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,22: | 1 |

| 16 | Process-microstructure-properties of CuAlNi shape memory alloys fabricated by laser powder bed fusion显示文摘Cu-based shape memory alloys(SMAs)show great potential in the application of high temperature,but their performance improvement combining with additive manufacturing is still challenging.In this paper,nearly defect-free(99.7%relative density)CuAlNi SMAs with two types of thermal-induced martensites,18R and 2H,were successfully fabricated by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF).The remelting printing strat-egy with systematic optimization framework including densification and printability analysis was used to get optimal process window.The twin-related self-accommodation structure with long period stacking order substructure was formed during additive manufacturing process.The as-build samples show excel-lent mechanical properties(ultimate compressive strength of 1593±10 MPa and large fracture strain of 23.0%±0.1%)with double-yielding,and outstanding shape memory effect,with maximum recoverable strain of 3.39% and nearly 100%recovery rate under compressive strain not exceeding 6%.Furthermore,the microstructural evolution in LPBF involving remelting,martensitic transformation,and 2H marten-site was discussed.This result not only builds the microstructure framework involving high reflectivity alloys and martensitic transformation but also provides insight into the applicability of LPBF process in producing Cu-based SMAs. | Yankun Zhang Lianyong Xu Lei Zhao Danyang Lin Minqian Liu Xueyan Qi Yongdian Han | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,21: | 0 |

| 18 | Tuned single atom coordination structures mediated by polarization force and sulfur anions for photovoltaics显示文摘Impeding high temperature sintering is challengeable for synthesis of carbon-supported single-atom catalysts (C-SACs), which requires high-cost precursor and strictly-controlled procedures. Herein, by virtue of the ultrastrong polarity of salt melts, sintering of metal atoms is effectively suppressed. Meanwhile, doping with inorganic sulfur anions not only produces sufficient anchoring sites to achieve high loading of atomically dispersed Co up to 13.85 wt.%, but also enables their electronic and geometric structures to be well tuned. When served as a cathode catalyst in dye-sensitized solar cells, the C-SAC with Co-N4-S2 moieties exhibits high activity towards the iodide reduction reaction (IRR), achieving a higher power conversion efficiency than that of conventional Pt counterpart. | 20 | Epidemiology and control measures of an outbreak of neonatal echovirus 11 infections in Guangdong, China: A retrospective analysis显示文摘The objective of this study was to investigate the outbreak of echovirus 11 (ECHO 11) infection in newborns at a hospital in Guangdong Province, China, and to study the effectiveness of prevention and control measures to infer the epidemiological characteristics of ECHO 11 and explore the effective measures for its prevention and control. We performed retrospective analyses of hospital records and laboratory test data. In this outbreak, ten cases of ECHO 11 infection were identified, of which nine cases were nosocomial infections. Most of the cases (90%) were severe, and three died. The onset time interval of 10 patients was 1-4 days, most of which occur in 1-2 days. There were eight (80%) males and two females (20%). The gestational age of the patients was 31 to 40 weeks (mean, 35+4 weeks;median, 35+4 weeks). The onset time was 3-26 days (average 9 days;median 8 days). The birth weights of the patients ranged from 1,650 g to 3,450 g (mean 2,385 g;median 2,250 g). We concluded that neonatal infection with ECHO 11 will lead to serious symptoms and high mortality, and is prone to outbreaks of nosocomial infection. We speculate that ECHO 11 is most likely to spread via contact transmission;however, we do not rule out the possibility of droplet transmission.
