| 1 | Arc corrosion behavior of Cu-Ti_3AlC_2 composites in air atmosphere显示文摘The arc corrosion evolution of Cu-20 vol.% Ti_3 AlC_2 cathodes is presented here. After eroded by 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 kV DC voltage, respectively, the surface morphologies were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope with craters and protrusions. Compared to small craters and dense protrusions of the morphology by high voltage, the eroded surface was covered with bigger craters and sparse protrusions at low voltage. No crack was discovered on the surface even at 10 kV. By means of energy dispersive spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy, the decomposition of Cu-20 vol.% Ti_3 AlC_2 cathode to CuO,Al__2 O_3 and TiO_2 were proved. Meanwhile, W anode is oxidized to WO_2. | 2 | Electronic-property dependent interactions between tetracycline and graphene nanomaterials in aqueous solution显示文摘Understanding the interactions between graphene nanomaterials(GNMs) and antibiotics in aqueous solution is critical to both the engineering applications of GNMs and the assessment of their potential impact on the fate and transport of antibiotics in the aquatic environment. In this study, adsorption of one common antibiotic, tetracycline, by graphene oxide(GO) and reduced graphene oxide(RGO) was examined with multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) and graphite as comparison. The results showed that the tetracycline adsorption capacity by the four selected carbonaceous materials on the unit mass basis followed an order of GO > RGO > MWCNTs > graphite. Upon normalization by surface area,graphite, RGO and MWCNTs had almost the same high tetracycline adsorption affinity while GO exhibited the lowest. We proposed π-electron-property dependent interaction mechanisms to explain the observed different adsorption behaviors. Density functional theory(DFT) calculations suggested that the oxygen-containing functional groups on GO surface reduced its π-electron-donating ability, and thus decreased the π-based interactions between tetracycline and GO surface. Comparison of adsorption efficiency at different p H indicated that electrostatic interaction also played an important role in tetracycline-GO interactions. | 5 | TSNAdb: A Database for Tumor-specific Neoantigens from Immunogenomics Data Analysis显示文摘Tumor-specific neoantigens have attracted much attention since they can be used as biomarkers to predict therapeutic effects of immune checkpoint blockade therapy and as potential targets for cancer immunotherapy. In this study, we developed a comprehensive tumor-specific neoantigen database(TSNAdb v1.0), based on pan-cancer immunogenomic analyses of somatic mutation data and human leukocyte antigen(HLA) allele information for 16 tumor types with 7748 tumor samples from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) and The Cancer Immunome Atlas(TCIA). We predicted binding affinities between mutant/wild-type peptides and HLA class I molecules by NetMHCpan v2.8/v4.0, and presented detailed information of 3,707,562/1,146,961 potential neoantigens generated by somatic mutations of all tumor samples. | 7 | Short-term Wind Speed Prediction with a Two-layer Attention-based LSTM显示文摘Wind speed prediction is of great importance because it affects the efficiency and stability of power systems with a high proportion of wind power.Temporal-spatial wind speed features contain rich information;however,their use to predict wind speed remains one of the most challenging and less studied areas.This paper investigates the problem of predicting wind speeds for multiple sites using temporal and spatial features and proposes a novel two-layer attentionbased long short-term memory(LSTM),termed 2Attn-LSTM,a unified framework of encoder and decoder mechanisms to handle temporal-spatial wind speed data.To eliminate the unevenness of the original wind speed,we initially decompose the preprocessing data into IMF components by variational mode decomposition(VMD).Then,it encodes the spatial features of IMF components at the bottom of the model and decodes the temporal features to obtain each component's predicted value on the second layer.Finally,we obtain the ultimate prediction value after denormalization and superposition.We have performed extensive experiments for short-term predictions on real-world data,demonstrating that 2Attn-LSTM outperforms the four baseline methods.It is worth pointing out that the presented 2Atts-LSTM is a general model suitable for other spatial-temporal features. | Jingcheng Qian Mingfang Zhu Yingnan Zhao Xiangjian He | 2021 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2021,39,11: | 1 |

| 14 | The continuous wavelet projections algorithm: A practical spectral-feature-mining approach for crop detection显示文摘Spectroscopy can be used for detecting crop characteristics. A goal of crop spectrum analysis is to extract effective features from spectral data for establishing a detection model. An ideal spectral feature set should have high sensitivity to target parameters but low information redundancy among features.However, feature-selection methods that satisfy both requirements are lacking. To address this issue,in this study, a novel method, the continuous wavelet projections algorithm(CWPA), was developed,which has advantages of both continuous wavelet analysis(CWA) and the successive projections algorithm(SPA) for generating optimal spectral feature set for crop detection. Three datasets collected for crop stress detection and retrieval of biochemical properties were used to validate the CWPA under both classification and regression scenarios. The CWPA generated a feature set with fewer features yet achieving accuracy comparable to or even higher than those of CWA and SPA. With only two to three features identified by CWPA, an overall accuracy of 98% in classifying tea plant stresses was achieved, and high coefficients of determination were obtained in retrieving corn leaf chlorophyll content(R^(2)= 0.8521)and equivalent water thickness(R^(2)= 0.9508). The mechanism of the CWPA ensures that the novel algorithm discovers the most sensitive features while retaining complementarity among features. | 15 | Phase behavior and properties of salt-free cationic/anionic surfactant mixtures of oleic acid and stearic acid显示文摘Cationic base surfactant, tetradecyltrimethylammonium hydroxide (TTAOH), can be obtained through anion exchange from tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide (TTABr). Salt-free cationic and anionic (catanionic) surfactant mixtures were studied by mixing TTAOH with oleic acid (OA) or stearic acid (SA) in water. The phase behavior of TTAOH/OA/H2O is compared with that of TTAOH/SA/H2O. It was found that the phase behavior of TTAOH/OA/H2O and TTAOH/SA/H2O system differs from each other due to the existence of the unsaturated double carbon bond (C=C) in OA. At fixed total surfactant concentration (25 mg/mL) of TTAOH/OA/H2O system at 25℃, one can observe an isotropic L1 phase, and a L1/Lα two-phase region with increasing OA content. The volume of top turbid Lα phase increases while the bottom phase changes gradually from transparently clear to a bit turbid until a single Lα-phase is reached. Finally at high OA concentration, excess OA is separated from the bulk aqueous solutions. TTAOH/SA/H2O system usually forms white precipitating at 25℃ due to the high chain melting temperature of SA. When heated to 60℃, however, the state of samples changes. At fixed total surfactant concentration of 25 mg/mL, an isotropic L1 phase and a milk-white or bluish Lα-phase are observed with increasing SA concentration. Transparent thin layers which are strongly birefringent form at the tops of some samples within the Lα-phase region. Finally, at high SA concentration, excess SA is separated from the bulk aqueous solutions. In addition to phase behavior study, we also measured the conductivity of TTAOH/OA/H2O system at 25℃ and TTAOH/SA/H2O system at 60℃, respectively. | 16 | Polypropylene microplastics alter the cadmium adsorption capacity on different soil solid fractions显示文摘Microplastics(MPs)are widely present in a variety of environmental media and have attracted more and more attention worldwide.However,the effect of MPs on the interaction between heavy metals and soil,especially in soil solid fraction level,is not well understood.In this study,batch experiments were performed to investigate the adsorption characteristics of Cd in bulk soil and three soil solid fractions(i.e.particulate organo matter(POM),organic-mineral compounds(OMC),and mineral)with or without polypropylene(PP)MPs.The results showed that the addition of PP-MPs reduced the Cd adsorption capacity of the bulk soil in aqueous solution,and the effects varied with PP-MPs dose and aging degree.Whereas,the responses of the three fractions to PP-MPs were different.In presence of PP-MPs,the POM and OMC fractions showed negative adsorption effects,while the mineral fraction showed positive adsorption.For the bulk soil,POM and OMC fractions,the adsorption isotherm fitted to the Langmuir model better than the Freundlich model,whereas,the Freundlich isotherm model was more fitted for the mineral fraction.Combined with the comprehensive analysis of the partitioning coefficients,XRD and FTIR results,it was found that OMC fraction extremely likely play a leading role in the bulk soil adsorption of Cd in this study.Overall,the effect of MPs on adsorption capacity of the bulk soil for Cd may be determined by the proportion of POM,OMC,and mineral fractions in the soil,but further confirmation is needed. | Xianying Ma Xinhui Zhou Mengjie Zhao Wenzhuo Deng Yanxiao Cao Junfeng Wu Jingcheng Zhou | 2022 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,1: | 0 |
| 17 | Detection and Discrimination of Tea Plant Stresses Based on Hyperspectral Imaging Technique at a Canopy Level显示文摘Tea plant stresses threaten the quality of tea seriously.The technology corresponding to the fast detection and differentiation of stresses is of great significance for plant protection in tea plantation.In recent years,hyperspectral imaging technology has shown great potential in detecting and differentiating plant diseases,pests and some other stresses at the leaf level.However,the lack of studies at canopy level hampers the detection of tea plant stresses at a larger scale.In this study,based on the canopy-level hyperspectral imaging data,the methods for identifying and differentiating the three commonly occurred tea stresses(i.e.,the tea leafhopper,anthrax and sun burn)were studied.To account for the complexity of the canopy scenario,a stepwise detecting strategy was proposed that includes the process of background removal,identification of damaged areas and discrimination of stresses.Firstly,combining the successive projection algorithm(SPA)spectral analysis and K-means cluster analysis,the background and overexposed non-plant regions were removed from the image.Then,a rigorous sensitivity analysis and optimization were performed on various forms of spectral features,which yielded optimal features for detecting damaged areas(i.e.,YSV,Area,GI,CARI and NBNDVI)and optimal features for stresses discrimination(i.e.,MCARI,CI,LCI,RARS,TCI and VOG).Based on this information,the models for identifying damaged areas and those models for discriminating different stresses were established using K-nearest neighbor(KNN),Random Forest(RF)and Fisher discriminant analysis.The identification model achieved an accuracy over 95%,and the discrimination model achieved an accuracy over 93%for all stresses.The results suggested the feasibility of stress detection and differentiation using canopy-level hyperspectral imaging techniques,and indicated the potential for its extension over large areas. | Lihan Cui Lijie Yan Xiaohu Zhao Lin Yuan Jing Jin Jingcheng Zhang | 2021 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,2: | 0 |
