1Biocompatibility of bio-Mg-Zn alloy within bone with heart, liver, kidney and spleen显示文摘A magnesium-zinc alloy rod was implanted into the marrow cavity of the distal femur in New Zealand rabbits. The femur with the implanted alloy was compared with the contralateral femur in which a bone tunnel without implant was formed as a control. Degradation of the magnesium-zinc alloy was analyzed via X-ray, scanning electron microscopy, and element energy spectrum analysis. Serum magnesium, liver and kidney function tests, and myocardial enzymes were measured. Heart, liver, kidney and spleen were sectioned for pathological analysis, and the effects of the implanted material on the histology and function of important organs were analyzed. Magnesium-zinc alloy was resorbed from the bone marrow cavity of the femur; 87% of the alloy was degraded within 14 weeks after the surgery. There were no significant differences in serum magnesium, liver or kidney function tests, or myocardial enzymes be- fore the surgery and after degradation of the magnesium-zinc alloy. Histology of the heart, liver, kidney, and spleen did not change. 2Experimental investigations on the heat transfer characteristics of micro heat pipe array applied to flat plate solar collector显示文摘This paper introduces a novel flat plate solar collector(FPC) using micro heat pipe array(MHPA) as a key element.To analyze the thermal transfer behavior of flat plate solar collector with micro heat pipe array(MHPA-FPC),an indoor experiment for thermal transfer characteristic of MHPA applied to FPC was conducted by using an electrical heating film to simulate the solar radiation.Different cooling water flow rates,cooling water temperatures,slopes,and contact thermal resistances between the condenser of MHPA and the heat exchanger were tested at different heating powers.The experimental results indicate that MHPA-FPC exhibits the enhanced heat transfer capability with increased cooling water flow rate and temperature.Total thermal resistance has a maximum decline of approximately 10% when the flow rate increases from 180 to 360 L h 1 and 38% when the cooling water temperature increases from 20℃ to 40℃.When the inclination angle of MHPA-FPC exceeds 30°,the slope change has a negligible effect on the heat transfer performance of MHPA-FPC.In addition,contact thermal resistance significantly affects the heat transfer capability of MHPA-FPC.The total thermal resistances lowers to nearly half of the original level when contact material between the condenser of MHPA and the heat exchanger changes from conductive silicone to conductive grease.These results could provide useful information for the optimal design and operation of MHPA-FPC.DENG YueChao QUAN ZhenHua ZHAO YaoHua WANG LinCheng 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,5:17
3NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR FAULT DIAGNOSIS BASED ON WAVELET DENOISING AND MODIFIED EXPONENTIAL TIME-FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTION显示文摘Fast wavelet multi-resolution analysis (wavelet MRA) provides a effective tool for analyzing and canceling disturbing components in original signal. Because of its exponential frequency axis, this method isn’t suitable for extracting harmonic components. The modified exponential time-frequency distribution ( MED) overcomes the problems of Wigner distribution( WD) ,can suppress cross-terms and cancel noise further more. MED provides high resolution in both time and frequency domains, so it can make out weak period impulse components fmm signal with mighty harmonic components. According to the 'time' behavior, together with 'frequency' behavior in one figure,the essential structure of a signal is revealed clearly. 4Approximation by randomly weighting method in censored regression model显示文摘Censored regression ('Tobit') models have been in common use, and their linear hypothesis testings have been widely studied. However, the critical values of these tests are usually related to quantities of an unknown error distribution and estimators of nuisance parameters. In this paper, we propose a randomly weighting test statistic and take its conditional distribution as an approximation to null distribution of the test statistic. It is shown that, under both the null and local alternative hypotheses, conditionally asymptotic distribution of the randomly weighting test statistic is the same as the null distribution of the test statistic. Therefore, the critical values of the test statistic can be obtained by randomly weighting method without estimating the nuisance parameters. At the same time, we also achieve the weak consistency and asymptotic normality of the randomly weighting least absolute deviation estimate in censored regression model. 6Inference of change-point in single index models显示文摘Single index models are widely used in medicine, econometrics and some other fields. In this paper, we consider the inference of a change point problem in single index models. Based on density-weighted average derivative estimation (ADE) method, we propose a statistic to test whether a change point exists or not. The null distribution of the test statistic is obtained using a permutation technique. The permuted statistic is rigorously shown to have the same distribution in the limiting sense under both null and alternative hypotheses. After the null hypothesis of no change point is rejected, an ADE-based estimate of the change point is proposed under assumption that the change point is unique. 7Experimental study on the new type of electrical storage heater based on flat micro-heat pipe arrays显示文摘A new type of electrical storage heater that utilizes latent heat storage and flat micro-heat pipe arrays(FMHPAs) was developed.The thermal characteristics of the heater were tested through experimentation. The structure and operating principle of the storage heater were expounded. Three rows of FMHPAs were applied(three rows with five assemblies each) with a mass of 28 kg of phase change material(PCM) in the heat storage tank. Electric power was supplied to the PCM in the range of 0.2-2.04 kW, and air was used as heat transfer fluid, with the volume flow rate ranging from 40-120 m^3/h. The inlet temperature was in the range of15-24℃. The effects of heating power, air volume flow rate, and inlet temperature were investigated. The electrical storage heater exhibited efficiencies of 97% and 87% with 1.98 and 1.30 kW of power during charging and discharging, respectively. Application of the proposed storage heater can transfer electricity from peak periods to off-peak periods, and the excess energy generated by wind farms can be stored as heat and released when needed. 8Experimental study on visualization of the flow field in microtube显示文摘An experimental study was conducted to visualize the flow field and confirm the transitional Reynolds number from laminar to turbulent flow, as distilled water flows through quartz glass microtubes with inner diameter 315 and 520 μm. With gentian violet as colorant, the flow field pictures in the microtube, and therefore, is shot by a CCD camera with a microscope at different Reynolds numbers. Pressure drop data were also used to characterize the friction factor for those microtubes in the Reynolds number range of 200―2300. The experimental results clearly showed that the flow in the microtube was the laminar state and the friction factors agreed well with the Poiseuille equations when the Reynolds number was low. As the Reynolds number was larger than 1200 and 1500 for the microtube with inner diameter 315 and 520 μm, respectively, the friction factor departed from the classical laminar solution due to the earlier transition from laminar to turbulent flow. 12The miR166 mediated regulatory module controls plant height by regulating gibberellic acid biosynthesis and catabolism in soybean显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are endogenous small noncoding RNAs that play critical roles in regulating plant growth and development.Here,we used Short Tandem Target Mimic(STTM)technology to generate soybean(Glycine max(L.)Merr.)miRNA knockdown lines and identify miRNAs that regulate plant height,a key agronomic trait that affects yield.STTM166 successfully silenced miR166 in soybean and upregulated the expression of miR166 target genes,such as ATHB14-LIKE.The miR166 knockdown lines(GmSTTM166)displayed a reduced plant height phenotype.Moreover,GmSTTM166 plants contained lower levels of bioactive gibberellic acid(GA3)than wild-type plants,and application of exogenous GA partially rescued the dwarf phenotype of GmSTTM166.Knockdown of miR166 altered the expression of genes involved in GA biosynthesis and catabolism.Further analysis revealed that ATHB14-LIKE directly represses transcription of the GA biosynthesis genes Gm GA1 and Gm GA2,while activating transcription of the GA catabolic gene GIBBERLLIN 2 OXIDASE2(GmGA2ox2).Collectively,these results reveal a pivotal role for miR166 in the genetic control of plant height in soybean,thereby providing invaluable insights for molecular breeding to improve soybean yield.Chen Zhao Jingjing Ma Yaohua Zhang Suxin Yang Xianzhong Feng Jun Yan 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,5:1
13Performance simulation and optimization of new radiant floor heating based on micro heat pipe array显示文摘This paper proposes two new radiant floor heating structures based on micro heat pipe array(MHPA),namely cement-tile floor and keel-wood floor.The numerical models for these different floor structures are established and verified by experiments.The temperature distribution and heat transfer process of each part are comprehensively obtained,and the structure is optimized.The results show that the cement-tile floor has the better heat transfer performance of the two.When under the same inlet water temperature and flow rate,the keel-wood floor's surface temperature distribution is about 2℃ lower than that of the cement-tile floor.The inlet water temperature of cement-tile floor is about 10℃ lower than that of keel-wood structure when the floor surface temperature is the same.During a longitudinal heat transfer above MHPA,the floor surface temperature decreases by 0.5℃ for every 10 mm filling layer increase.In order to reduce the non-uniformity of the floor's surface temperature and improve the thermal comfort of the heated room,the optimal structure for a floor is given,with the maximum surface temperature difference reduced by 3.35℃.We used research focusing on new radiant floor heating,with advantages including high efficiency heat transfer,low water supply temperature,simple waterway structure,low resistance and leakage risk,to provide theory and data to support the application of an effective radiant floor heating based on MHPA.Heran Jing Zhenhua Quan Ruixue Dong Limin Hao Yunhan Liu Yaohua Zhao 2022Building Simulation2022,15,7:1
