3Feasibility study of wave-motion milling of carbon fiber reinforced plastic holes显示文摘Carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP)has been applied in aeronautics,aerospace,automotive and medical industries due to its superior mechanical properties.However,due to its difficult-to-cut characteristic,various damages in twist drilling and chip removal clog in core drilling could happen,inevitably reducing hole quality and hole-manufacturing efficiency.This paper proposes the wave-motion milling(WMM)method for CFRP hole-manufacturing to improve hole quality.This paper presents a motion path model based on the kinematics of the WMM method.The wave-motion cutting mode in WMM was analyzed first.Then,comparison experiments on WMM and conventional helical milling(CHM)of CFRP were carried out under dry conditions.The results showed that the hole surface quality of the CFRP significantly improved with a decrease of 18.1%–36%of Ra value in WMM compared to CHM.WMM exerted a significantly weaker thrust force than that of CHM with a reduction of 12.0%–24.9%and 3%–7.7%for different axial feed per tooth and tangential feed per tooth,respectively.Meanwhile,the hole exit damages significantly decreased in WMM.The average tear length at the hole exit in WMM was reduced by 3.5%–29.5%and 35.5%–44.7%at different axial feed per tooth and tangential feed per tooth,respectively.Moreover,WMM significantly alleviated tool wear.The experimental results suggest that WMM is an effective and promising strategy for CFRP hole-manufacturing.Deyuan Zhang Zhenyu Shao Daxi Geng Xinggang Jiang Yihang Liu ZehuaZhou Shaomin Li 2021International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2021,3,1:2
4Metal phosphides and borides as the catalytic host of sulfur cathode for lithium–sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium−sulfur batteries are one of the most competitive high-energy batteries due to their high theoretical energy density of _(2)600 W·h·kg^(−1).However,their commercialization is limited by poor cycle stability mainly due to the low intrinsic electrical conductivity of sulfur and its discharged products(Li_(2)S_(2)/Li_(2)S),the sluggish reaction kinetics of sulfur cathode,and the“shuttle effect”of soluble intermediate lithi-um polysulfides in ether-based electrolyte.To address these challenges,catalytic hosts have recently been introduced in sulfur cathodes to en-hance the conversion of soluble polysulfides to the final solid products and thus prevent the dissolution and loss of active-sulfur material.In this review,we summarize the recent progress on the use of metal phosphides and borides of different dimensions as the catalytic host of sulfur cathodes and demonstrate the catalytic conversion mechanism of sulfur cathodes with the help of metal phosphides and borides for high-en-ergy and long-life lithium-sulfur batteries.Finally,future outlooks are proposed on developing advanced catalytic host materials to improve battery performance.Rui Gao Zhenyu Wang Sheng Liu Guangjie Shao Xueping Gao 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,5:2
5In-situ transient photovoltage study on interface electron transfer regulation of carbon dots/NiCo_(2)O_(4) photocatalyst for the enhanced overall water splitting activity显示文摘Photocatalytic hydrogen production by overall water solar-splitting is a prospective strategy to solve energy crisis.However,the rapid recombination of photogenerated electron–hole pairs deeply restricts photocatalytic activity of catalysts.Here,the in-situ transient photovoltage(TPV)technique was developed to investigate the interfacial photogenerated carrier extraction,photogenerated carrier recombination and the interfacial electron delivery kinetics of the photocatalyst.The carbon dots/NiCo_(2)O_(4)(CDs/NiCo_(2)O_(4))composite shows weakened recombination rate of photogenerated carriers due to charge storage of CDs,which enhances the photocatalytic water decomposition activity without any scavenger.CDs can accelerate the interface electron extraction about 0.09 ms,while the maximum electron storage time by CDs is up to 0.7 ms.The optimal CDs/NiCo_(2)O_(4)composite(5 wt.%CDs)displays the hydrogen production of 62µmol·h^(−1)·g^(−1) and oxygen production of 29µmol·h^(−1)·g^(−1) at normal atmosphere,which is about 4 times greater than that of pristine NiCo_(2)O_(4).This work provides sufficient evidence on the charge storage of CDs and the interfacial charge kinetics of photocatalysts on the basis of in-situ TPV tests.Haodong Nie Yan Liu Yi Li Kaiqiang Wei Zhenyu Wu Hong Shi Hui Huang Yang Liu Mingwang Shao Zhenhui Kang 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:2
6Assessment of strong earthquake risk in the Chinese mainland from 2021 to 2030显示文摘The long-term earthquake prediction from 2021 to 2030 is carried out by researching the active tectonic block boundary zones in the Chinese mainland.Based on the strong earthquake recurrence model,the cumulative probability of each target fault in the next 10 years is given by the recurrence period and elapsed time of each fault,which are adopted from relevant studies such as seismological geology,geodesy,and historical earthquake records.Based on the long-term predictions of large earthquakes throughout the world,this paper proposes a comprehensive judgment scheme based on the fault segments with the seismic gap,motion strongly locked,sparse small-moderate earthquakes,and apparent Coulomb stress increase.This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the relative risk for strong earthquakes that may occur in the coming 10 years on the major faults in the active tectonic block boundary zones in the Chinese mainland.The present loading rate of each fault is first constrained by geodetic observations;the cumulative displacement of each fault is then estimated by the elapsed time since the most recent strong earthquake.Zhigang Shao Yanqiang Wu Lingyun Ji Faqi Diao Fuqiang Shi Yujiang Li Feng Long Hui Zhang Wuxing Wang Wenxin Wei Peng Wang Xiaoxia Liu Qi Liu Zhengyang Pan Xiaofei Yin Yue Liu Wei Feng Zhenyu Zou Jia Cheng Renqi Lu Yueren Xu Xi Li 2023Earthquake Research Advances2023,3,1:2
7High-temperature oxidation behavior of SiBN fibers in air显示文摘SiBN fibers are one of the most admirable microwave-transparent reinforced materials for high Mach number aircrafts.Currently,the detailed high-temperature oxidation behavior of SiBN fibers has not been studied yet.In this work,we studied the high-temperature oxidation behavior of SiBN fibers with different boron contents at the temperature range of 1000-1400℃in air.SiBN fibers started to be oxidized at 1100℃,with Si_(3)N_(4) and BN phase oxidized to SiO2 and B_(2)O_(3),respectively.Due to the gasification and the escape of molten B_(2)O_(3) at high temperatures,amorphous SiO_(2) could be remained at the fiber surface.As the fiber further oxidized,the molten B_(2)O_(3) at the inside may infiltrate into the fiber interior to react with Si_(3)N_(4),causing the precipitation of hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)nanoparticles and the formation of SiO_(2)/BN layer.Finally,complex oxidation layers with two distinct concentric sublayers accompanied with two transition sublayers could be formed after the oxidizing treatment.Xin LONG Zhenyu WU Changwei SHAO Xiaozhou WANG Yingde WANG 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,4:2
8Eosinophil-derived chemokine(hCCL 15/23,mCCL6)interacts with CCR1 to promote eosinophilic airway inflammation显示文摘Eosinophils are terminally differentiated cells derived from hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs)in the bone marrow.Several studies have confirmed the effective roles of eosinophils in asthmatic airway pathogenesis.However,their regulatory functions have not been well elucidated.Here,increased C-C chemokine ligand 6(CCL6)in asthmatic mice and the human orthologs CCL15 and CCL23 that are highly expressed in asthma patients are described,which are mainly derived from eosinophils.Using Cc/6 knockout mice,further studies revealed CCL6-dependent allergic airway inflammation and committed eosinophilia in the bone marrow following ovalbumin(OVA)challenge and identified a CCL6-CCR1 regulatory axis in hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs).Eosinophil differentiation and airway inflammation were remarkably decreased by the specific CCR1 antagonist BX471.Thus,the study identifies that the CCL6-CCR1 axis is involved in the crosstalk between eosinophils and HSCs during the development of allergic airway inflammation,which also reveals a potential therapeutic strategy for targeting G protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs)for future clinical treatment of asthma.Xufei Du Fei Li Chao Zhang Na Li Huaqiong Huang Zhehua Shao Min Zhang Xueqin Zhan Yicheng He Zhenyu Ju Wen Li Zhihua Chen Songmin Ying Huahao Shen 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,3:1

10Ironing effect on surface integrity and fatigue behavior during ultrasonic peening drilling of Ti-6Al-4V显示文摘Imposing compressive residual stress field around a fastening hole serves as a universal method to enhance the hole fatigue strength in the aircraft assembly filed.Ultrasonic Peening Drilling(UPD)is a recently proposed hybrid hole making process,which can achieve an integration of strengthening and precision-machining with a one-shot-drilling operation.Due to the ironing effect of tool flank surface,UPD introduces large compressive residual stress filed in hole subsurface.In order to reveal the strengthening mechanism of UPD,the influence of ultrasonic vibration and tool dynamic relief angle on ironing coverage rate and its corresponding effect on surface integrity in UPD were analyzed.The experiments were conducted to verify the influence of ironing effect on surface integrity and fatigue behavior of Ti-6Al-4V hole in UPD.The results indicate that the specimen features smaller surface roughness,higher micro-hardness,plastic deformation degree and circumferential compress residual stress under higher ironing coverage rate.The fatigue life increases with the raise of ironing coverage rate,and the fatigue source site in UPD shifts from surface to subsurface comparing with that without vibration assistance.The results demonstrates that a better strengthening effect can be obtained by reasonably controlling the ironing coverage rate in UPD.Yihang LIU Deyuan ZHANG Daxi GENG Zhenyu SHAO Zehua ZHOU Zhefei SUN Yonggang JIANG Xinggang JIANG 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,5:0
11MRI-derived radiomics models for diagnosis,aggressiveness,and prognosis evaluation in prostate cancer显示文摘Prostate cancer(PCa)is a pernicious tumor with high heterogeneity,which creates a conundrum for making a precise diagnosis and choosing an optimal treatment approach.Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(mp-MRI)with anatomical and functional sequences has evolved as a routine and significant paradigm for the detection and characterization of PCa.Moreover,using radiomics to extract quantitative data has emerged as a promising field due to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence(AI)and image data processing.Radiomics acquires novel imaging biomarkers by extracting imaging signatures and establishes models for precise evaluation.Radiomics models provide a reliable and noninvasive alternative to aid in precision medicine,demonstrating advantages over traditional models based on clinicopathological parameters.The purpose of this review is to provide an overview of related studies of radiomics in PCa,specifically around the development and validation of radiomics models using MRI-derived image features.The current landscape of the literature,focusing mainly on PCa detection,aggressiveness,and prognosis evaluation,is reviewed and summarized.Rather than studies that exclusively focus on image biomarker identification and method optimization,models with high potential for universal clinical implementation are identified.Furthermore,we delve deeper into the critical concerns that can be addressed by different models and the obstacles that may arise in a clinical scenario.This review will encourage researchers to design models based on actual clinical needs,as well as assist urologists in gaining a better understanding of the promising results yielded by radiomics.Xuehua ZHU Lizhi SHAO Zhenyu LIU Zenan LIU Jide HE Jiangang LIU Hao PING Jian LU 2023Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2023,24,8:0
