3Effect of antisense oligonucleotides targeting telomerase catalytic subunit on tumor cell proliferation in vitro显示文摘To screen specific antitumor drugs targeting telomerase catalytic subunit (hEST2), 12 different hEST2 antisense oligonucleotides were designed based on hEST2 mRNA second structure and transfected into tumor cell lines by the lipofectin-mediated method. Cell growth activity was evaluated by MTT assay. HEST212 was picked out and its specificity, antitumor tree and continuous effect were analyzed. 4Watering techniques and zero-valent iron biochar pH effects on As and Cd concentrations in rice rhizosphere soils,tissues and yield显示文摘Zero-valent iron amended biochar(ZVIB)has been proposed as a promising material in immobilizing heavy metals in paddy fields.In this study,the impacts of p H of ZVIB(p H 6.3 and p H 9.7)and watering management techniques(watering amount in the order of CON(control,5/72)>3/72>1-3/72>3/100>1/72,with 5/72,for example,representing irrigation given to 5 cm above soil surface in 72 hr regular interval)on As and Cd bioavailability for rice and its grain yield(Yield BR)were investigated in a pot experiment.Brown rice As(As BR)content was irrelative to the watering treatments,while significantly decreased(>50%)with the addition of both ZVIB materials.The diminutions of brown rice Cd(Cd BR)content as well as the Yield BR were highly dependent on both the soil amendment materials’p H and watering amount.Among all the watering treatments,3/72 treatment(15%less irrigation water than the CON)with ZVIB 6.3 amendment was the optimum fit for simultaneous reduction of As BR(50%)and Cd BR contents(19%)as well as for significant increment(12%)of the Yield BR.Although high pH(9.7)ZVIB application could also efficiently decrease As and Cd contents in brown rice,it might risk grain yield lost if appropriate(e.g.3/72 in our study)watering management technique was not chosen.Therefore,ZVIB would be an environmentally friendly option as an amendment material with proper selection of watering management technique to utilize As and Cd co-contaminated arable soils safely for paddy cultivation.Md Shafiqul Islam Yali Chen Liping Weng Jie Ma Zulqarnain Haider Khan Zhongbin Liao Abdoul Salam Issiaka Abdoul Magid Yongtao Li 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,2:9
5PdAg bimetallic electrocatalyst for highly selective reduction of CO2 with low COOH^* formation energy and facile CO desorption显示文摘For electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to CO,the stabilization of intermediate COOH^* and the desorption of CO^* are two key steps.Pd can easily stabilize COOH^*,whereas the strong CO^* binding to Pd surface results in severe poisoning,thus lowering catalytic activity and stability for CO2 reduction.On Ag surface,CO^* desorbs readily,while COOH^* requires a relatively high formation energy,leading to a high overpotential.In light of the above issues,we successfully designed the PdAg bimetallic catalyst to circumvent the drawbacks of sole Pd and Ag.The PdAg catalyst with Ag-terminated surface not only shows a much lower overpotential(-0.55 V with CO current density of 1 mA/cm^2)than Ag(−0.76 V),but also delivers a CO/H2 ratio 18 times as high as that for Pd at the potential of-0.75 V vs.RHE.The issue of CO poisoning is significantly alleviated on Ag-terminated PdAg surface,with the stability well retained after 4h electrolysis at-0.75 V vs.RHE.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the Ag-terminated PdAg surface features a lowered formation energy for COOH^* and weakened adsorption for CO^*,which both contribute to the enhanced performance for CO2 reduction.Rui Lin Xuelu Ma Weng-Chon Cheong Chao Zhang Wei Zhu Jiajing Pei Kaiyue Zhang Bin Wang Shiyou Liang Yuxi Liu Zhongbin Zhuang Rong Yu Hai Xiao Jun Li Dingsheng Wang Qing Peng Chen Chen Yadong Li 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:7
6Atomic Co/Ni dual sites with N/P-coordination as bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst for rechargeable zinc-air batteries显示文摘Metal-nitrogen-carbon(M-N-C)single-atom catalysts exhibit desirable electrochemical catalytic properties.However,the replacement of N atoms by heteroatoms(B,P,S,etc.)has been regarded as a useful method for regulating the coordination environment.The structure engineered M-N-C sites via doping heteroatoms play an important role to the adsorption and activation of the oxygen intermediate.Herein,we develop an efficient strategy to construct dual atomic site catalysts via the formation of a Co_(1)-PN and Ni1-PN planar configuration.The developed Co_(1)-PNC/Ni1-PNC catalyst exhibits excellent bifunctional electrocatalytic performance in alkaline solution.Both experimental and theoretical results demonstrated that the N/P coordinated Co/Ni sites moderately reduced the binding interaction of oxygen intermediates.The Co_(1)-PNC/Ni1-PNC endows a rechargeable Zn-air battery with excellent power density and cycling stability as an air-cathode,which is superior to that of the benchmark Pt/C+IrO_(2).This work paves an avenue for design of dual single-atomic sites and regulation of the atomic configuration on carbon-based materials to achieve high-performance electrocatalysts.Botao Hu Aijian Huang Xuejiang Zhang Zheng Chen Renyong Tu Wei Zhu Zhongbin Zhuang Chen Chen Qing Peng Yadong Li 2021Nano Research2021,14,10:6

9Coprinus comatus-derived nitrogen-containing biocarbon electrocatalyst with the addition of self-generating graphene-like support for superior oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘The development of nitrogen-rich biomassderived carbon catalysts provides an attractive perspective to substitute for Pt-based electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR). We here report a facile strategy for synthesis of a nitrogen-doped biocarbon/graphene-like composite electrocatalyst by pyrolyzing a solid-state mixture of coprinus comatus biomass and melamine under nitrogen protection. The graphtic carbon nitride formed by polycondensation of melamine at 600 °C acts as a selfsacrificing template to generate the nitrogen-doped graphene-like sheet, which can function as an inserting agent and self-generating support. The composite catalyst exhibits the most promising catalytic activity towards the fourelectron ORR with a half-wave potential of around 0.83 V(vs. RHE), and more excellent stability and tolerance to methanol/ethanol compared to the commercial Pt/C catalyst. It is interestingly found that both a higher content of nitrogen and a larger ratio of graphitic-nitrogen species,which may derive from self-addition of graphene-like support into the catalyst, can effectively improve the electrocatalytic activity. The planar N group may be the nitrogen functionality that is most responsible for maintaining the ORR activity in alkaline medium. 11The effects of clay minerals and organic matter on nanoscale pores in Lower Paleozoic shale gas reservoirs, Guizhou, China显示文摘In organic-rich gas shales, clay minerals and organic matter(OM) have significant influences on the origin, preservation, and production of shale gas. Because of the substantial role of nanoscale pores in the generation,storage, and seepage of shale gas, we examined the effects of clay minerals and OM on nanoscale pore distribution characteristics in Lower Paleozoic shale gas reservoirs.Using the Niutitang and Longmaxi shales as examples, we determined the effects of clay minerals and OM on pores through sedimentation experiments. Field emission–scanning electron microscopy combined with low-pressure N2 adsorption of the samples before and after sedimentation showed significant differences in pore location and pore size distribution between the Niutitang and Longmaxi shales. Nanoscale pores mostly existed in OM in the Longmaxi shale and in clay minerals or OM–clay composites in the Niutitang shale. The distribution differences were attributed largely to variability in thermal evolution and tectonic development and might account for the difference in gas-bearing capacity between the Niutitang and Longmaxi reservoirs. In the nanoscale range, mesopores accounted for 61–76% of total nanoscale pore volume.Considerably developed nanoscale pores in OM were distributed in a broad size range in the Longmaxi shale, which led to good pore connectivity and gas production.Numerous narrow pores(i.e., pores \ 20 nm) in OM–clay composites were found in the Niutitang shale, and might account for this shale's poor pore connectivity and low gas production efficiency. Enhancing the connectivity of the mesopores(especially pores \ 20 nm and those developed in OM–clay composites) might be the key to improving development of the Niutitang shale. 12High-velocity impact responses of 2618 aluminum plates for engine containment systems under combined actions of projectile form and oblique angle显示文摘Ballistic impact tests were carried out with examined projectiles of the Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy to investigate the impact response of the 2618 aluminum plates at a nominal velocity of 210 m/s. The influence of projectile forms and oblique angles on damage formation was particularly discussed by applying different loading conditions such as multiple projectile forms and oblique angles. Additionally, the numerical simulation method was employed to provide further insight into the characteristics of damage and target responses. The Johnson-Cook(J-C)constitutive model with revised failure parameters was used to support the simulations to assess target responses and characteristics of the damage created from different impact conditions. Results show that there is a significant transition in the deformation mode as changes of the projectile form are applied. Moreover, the cracks on the back of the 2618 aluminum alloy plates impacted by the solid plate projectile and the hollow blade projectile tend to locate at different positions, which are supposed to be influenced by local bending and stretching. 13Temperature Effect on the Mechanical Behavior of Acrylic Polymers under Quasi-static and Dynamic Loading显示文摘In this paper, the mechanical behavior of acrylic polymers at elevated temperature was investigated. Four acrylic polymers were tested at high strain rate by using compression Hopkinson bar and at quasi-static strain rate by using an Instron servo hydraulic axial testing machine with the testing temperature from 218K to 393K. The results show that the mechanical property of acrylic polymers depends heavily on the testing temperature. The yield stress and Young's modulus were found to decrease with increasing temperature at low strain rate. At very low temperature, the materials display typical brittle fracture; however their plasticity improves remarkably at high temperatures. 14Statin treatment for unruptured intracranial aneurysms study: a study protocol for a double-blind, placebocontrolled trial显示文摘background and purpose A large proportion of patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysm(IA)are not suitable for surgical clipping and endovascular treatment.For these patients,anti-inflammatory medications are worth exploring due to inflammation of aneurysmal wall being a major factor in higher risk of rupture.Statin has been proven to reduce inflammation of atherosclerosis and maybe a suitable candidate.This study aimed to evaluate whether atorvastatin will reduce inflammatory of the aneurysm wall measured by the signal index of aneurysm wall enhancement.Methods and analysis The Statin Treatment for UnruptureD Intracranial anEurysms Study is a single-centre,phase 2,randomised,controlled,double-blind clinical trial.60 patients with unruptured IAs with aneurysm wall enhancement will be enrolled in Beijing Tiantan Hospital.The patients will be randomised to receive atorvastatin 20 mg or placebo orally per day for 12 months.The primary outcome will be the change in aneurysm wall enhancement measured by the signal index during the 12 months treatment with atorvastatin.The secondary study outcomes will be the change in aneurysm wall enhancement measured by the signal index at 3 months,the changes in aneurysmal morphology and inflammation-related factors(C reactive protein,tumour necrosis factor-α,interleukin-1βand interleukin-6)at 3 and 12 months.This study is the first to explore the role of atorvastatin in reducing inflammation in unruptured IA,which could lay the groundwork for future phase III trial.Ethics and dissemination Beijing Tiantan Hospital’s Ethics committee approved the research and written informed consents would be obtained from all participant or representative included in this study.Wenqiang Li Yisen Zhang Zhongbin Tian Wei Zhu Jian Liu Ying Zhang Xinjian Yang De-Cai Tian 2020Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,4:2

16Endovascular treatment of bilateral intracranial vertebral artery aneurysms: an algorithm based on a 10- year neurointerventional experience显示文摘Background The management of bilateral intracranial vertebral artery dissecting aneurysms(IVADAs)is controversial,and requires the development of endovascular treatment modalities and principles.We aim to investigate the endovascular treatment strategy and outcomes of bilateral IVADAs.Methods We identified all bilateral IVADAs at a high-volume neurointerventional centre over a 10-year period(from January 2009 to December 2018).Radiographic and clinical data were recorded,and a treatment algorithm was derived.Results Twenty-seven patients with bilateral IVADAs(54 IVADAs in total,51 unruptured,3 ruptured)were diagnosed.Four patients(14.8%)received single-stage endovascular treatment,12 patients(44.4%)with staged endovascular treatment and 11 patients(40.8%)with unilateral endovascular treatment of bilateral IVADAs.Thirty-six IVADAs(85.7%)have complete obliteration at the follow-up angiography.Two of three ruptured IVADAs with stent-assisted coiling recanalised,and had further recoiling.Three patients(11.1%)have intraprocedural or postprocedural complications(two in single-stage and one in staged).Twenty-five patients(92.6%)had a favourable clinical outcome,and two patients(7.4%,all in single-stage)showed an unfavourable clinical outcome at follow-up.For the patients with unilateral reconstructive endovascular treatment,the contralateral untreated IVADAs were stable and had no growth or ruptured during follow-up period.None of all IVADAs had rebleeding during the clinical follow-up.Conclusions Endovascular treatment can be performed in bilateral IVADAs with high technical success,high complete obliteration rates and acceptable morbidity/mortality.Contralateral IVADAs had low rates of aneurysm growth and haemorrhage when treated in a staged/delayed fashion.Yisen Zhang Zhongbin Tian Wei Zhu Jian Liu Yang Wang Kun Wang Ying Zhang Xinjian Yang Wenqiang Li 2020Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,3:2

18Continuous dimethyl carbonate synthesis from CO_(2) and methanol over Bi_(x)Ce_(1-x)O_(δ) monoliths:Effect of bismuth doping on population of oxygen vacancies,activity,and reaction pathway显示文摘We evaluated bismuth doped cerium oxide catalysts for the continuous synthesis of dimethyl carbonate(DMC)from methanol and carbon dioxide in the absence of a dehydrating agent.Bi_(x)Ce_(1-x)O_(δ)nanocomposites of various compositions(x=0.06-0.24)were coated on a ceramic honeycomb and their structural and catalytic properties were examined.The incorporation of Bi species into the CeO_(2) lattice facilitated controlling of the surface population of oxygen vacancies,which is shown to play a crucial role in the mechanism of this reaction and is an important parameter for the design of ceria-based catalysts.The DMC production rate of the Bi_(x)Ce_(1-x)O_(δ) catalysts was found to be strongly enhanced with increasing Ov concentration.The concentration of oxygen vacancies exhibited a maximum for Bi_(0.12)Ce_(0.88)O_(δ),which afforded the highest DMC production rate.Long-term tests showed stable activity and selectivity of this catalyst over 45 h on-stream at 140°C and a gas-hourly space velocity of 2,880 mL·g_(cat)^(-1)·h^(-1).In-situ modulation excitation diffuse reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and first-principle calculations indicate that the DMC synthesis occurs through reaction of a bidentate carbonate intermediate with the activated methoxy(-OCH_(3))species.The activation of C0_(2) to form the bidentate carbonate intermediate on the oxygen vacancy sites is identified as highest energy barrier in the reaction pathway and thus is likely the rate-determining step.Yongdong Chen Yue Li Wei Chen Wen Wu Xu Zhong-kang Han Ammara Waheed Zhongbin Ye Gao Li Alfons Baiker 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:2

20Significant flow velocity reduction at the intracranial aneurysm neck after endovascular treatment leads to favourable angiographic outcome:a prospective study显示文摘Background With widely usage of flow diverter in intracranial aneurysm treatment,some previously used predictors may not be effective in evaluating the recurrence risk.We aimed to comprehensively re-evaluate the predictors of intracranial aneurysm outcome with various endovascular treatment methods and devices.Methods This is a prospective registered study.We analysed 6-month and 18-month follow-up angiographic data from the prospective study.Data on patient demographics,aneurysm morphology and type of treatment were recorded.Patient-specific haemodynamic simulations were performed.An unfavourable angiographic outcome was defined as recurrence of aneurysm in cases with coiling or stent-assisted coiling,patency of aneurysm in cases with flow diverters or retreatment during follow-up.Results In total,165 patients(177 intracranial aneurysms)with at least one angiographic follow-up data were analysed.For the short-term(6-month)results,after univariate analysis,the demographic,morphological and treatment-related factors did not achieve significantly statistical differences.The reduction ratio(RR)of velocity at aneurysm neck after embolisation was significantly lower in the unfavourable angiographic group than the favourable angiographic outcome group(p=0.002).After the Cox regression analysis,the RR of velocity at aneurysm neck was the only independent factor associated with favourable angiographic outcome(OR 0.028;p=0.001)and had an acceptable area under the curve(0.714)with a clear cut-off value(46.14%).Similarly,for the analysis of midterm(18-month)results,the RR of velocity at the aneurysm neck was the only independent significant factor for the unfavourable angiographic outcome(OR 0.050;p=0.017).The area under the curve was 0.754 and the cut-off value was 48.20%.Conclusions The haemodynamics showed an independent effect on angiographic follow-up results and may provide helpful suggestions for clinical practice in the future.Zhongbin Tian Jian Liu Jay Kumar Wenqiang Li Yisen Zhang Ying Zhang Kun Wang Shengzhang Wang Zeguang Ren Xinjian Yang 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3:1
