2Numerical Simulation of Dam-Break Flooding of Cascade Reservoirs显示文摘Previous studies at home and abroad have mainly focused on single dam-break, and little attention has been paid so far to the dam-break of cascade reservoirs.Multi-source flooding, which can lead to three-dimensional turbulent phenomena and superposition effects, is the main difference between the dam-break of cascade and single reservoirs. Detailed descriptions of the coupled numerical simulation of multi-source flooding have little been reported, and the initial wet riverbed is rarely considered in current models. Therefore, in this paper, a method based on the three-dimensional k-ε turbulence model coupled with the volume-of-fluid method is proposed to simulate the dam-break flooding of cascade reservoirs. The upstream river, reservoir, and downstream river are connected by the internal boundary method, and the initial conditions,including river flow and reservoir water, are determined according to the results of the numerical simulation. Coupled numerical simulation of different dam-break flooding is then achieved. 3Dynamic response analysis of a multiple-beam structure subjected to a moving load显示文摘In this study,the dynamic response of an elastically connected multi-beam structure subjected to a moving load with elastic boundary conditions is investigated.The boundary conditions and properties of each beam vary,and the difficulty of solving the motion equation is reduced by using a Fourier series plus three special transformations.By examining a high-speed railway(HSR)with mixed boundary conditions,the rationality for the newly proposed method is verified,the difference in simulated multiple-beam models with different beam numbers is explored,and the influence of material parameters and load speed on the dynamic response of multiple-beam structures is examined.Results suggest that the number of beams in the model should be as close to the actual beam number as possible.Models with an appropriate beam number can be used to describe in detail the dynamic response of the structure.Neglecting the track-structure can overestimate the resonant speed of a high-speed railway,simply-supported beam bridge.The effective interval of foundation stiffness(EIFS)can provide a reference for future engineering designs.Zhang Yuntai Jiang Lizhong Zhou Wangbao Liu Shaohui Feng Yulin Liu Xiang Lai Zhipeng 2022Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2022,21,3:2

10Highly active cobalt-doped nickel sulfide porous nanocones for high-performance quasi-solid-state zinc-ion batteries显示文摘Flexible quasi-solid zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)have large potential in power applications due to the low price,wearable nature,safety,and high capacity.However,the use of transition metal sulfide cathodes in ZIBs has not been studied extensively and the underlying mechanism and theoretical basis of this type of batteries are not well understood.Herein,a highly active cobalt-doped Ni_(3)S_(2) porous nanocone framework(C12NS)is designed and demonstrated as a zinc-ion battery electrode.First-principles calculation and experiments reveal that the cobalt dopant improves the battery properties greatly.The assembled flexible zinc-ion battery exhibits a high specific capacity of 453.3 mAh g^(−1)at a current density of 0.4 A g^(−1)in as well as excellent cycling stability as manifested by a capacity retention ratio of 89.5%at a current density of 4 A g^(−1)after 5000 cycles.The peak energy density of 553.9 Wh kg^(−1)is also superior to those of most recently reported NiCo-based zinc-ion batteries.More importantly,the flexible battery can be operated under severe mechanical bending and even continues to work after physical puncturing without showing leakage.These exciting results not only reveal a novel design of cathode materials for zinc-based batteries,but also suggest their immense commercial potential in portable and wearable electronics.Xin Tong Yun Li Ning Pang Yang Zhou Dajun Wu Dayuan Xiong Shaohui Xu Lianwei Wang Paul K.Chu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,3:1
11An easy-to-implement method for fabricating superhydrophobic surfaces inspired by taro leaf显示文摘An easy-to-implement method by which to fabricate superhydrophobic surfaces inspired taro leaf was successfully applied on316 L stainless steel via combining nanosecond laser(NL)processing and spin-coating techniques.The laser-textured surface composed of microscale frameworks and central bumps was fabricated by NL processing based on properly designed biomimetic patterns,and a layer of nanoscale carbon black/polydimethylsiloxane(CB/PDMS)particles was covered on it by spin-coating.The effect of pattern parameters(i.e.,the inscribed circle radius of framework and the radius of central bump)on wettability of biomimetic surface was investigated.All as-prepared biomimetic surfaces with micro-nano hierarchical structures showed excellent superhydrophobicity with the water contact angle of~155°and contact angle hysteresis of~2°.By comparing the untreated surface,the wetting behavior and evaporation mode of the biomimetic surface occurred an obvious transformation.Meanwhile,experiments indicated that the biomimetic surface not only had liquid-repelling and self-cleaning functions,but also maintained remarkable mechanical robustness and superhydrophobic durability.The method is efficient for fabricating biomimetic superhydrophobic surfaces applied to liquid-repelling,evaporation-transforming and self-cleaning fields.LI KaiKai LEI Jiang XIE YingXi LU LongSheng ZHANG ShaoHui ZHOU PeiYang LIANG RongXuan WAN ZhenPing TANG Yong 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,12:0
12Genome degradation promotes Salmonella pathoadaptation by remodeling fimbriae-mediated proinflammatory response显示文摘Understanding changes in pathogen behavior(e.g.increased virulence,a shift in transmission channel)is critical for the public health management of emerging infectious diseases.Genome degradation via gene depletion or inactivation is recognized as a pathoadaptive feature of the pathogen evolving with the host.However,little is known about the exact role of genome degradation in affecting pathogenic behavior,and the underlying molecular detail has yet to be examined.Using large-scale global avian-restricted Salmonella genomes spanning more than a century,we projected the genetic diversity of Salmonella Pullorum(bvSP)by showing increasingly antimicrobial-resistant ST92 prevalent in Chinese flocks.The phylogenomic analysis identified three lineages in bvSP,with an enhancement of virulence in the two recently emerged lineages(L2/L3),as evidenced in chicken and embryo infection assays.Notably,the ancestor L1 lineage resembles the Salmonella serovars with higher metabolic flexibilities and more robust environmental tolerance,indicating stepwise evolutionary trajectories towards avian-restricted lineages.Pan-genome analysis pinpointed fimbrial degradation from a virulent lineage.The later engineeredfim-deletion mutant,and all other five fimbrial systems,revealed behavior switching that restricted horizontal fecal-oral transmission but boosted virulence in chicks.By depleting fimbrial appendages,bvSP established persistent replication with less proinflammation in chick macrophages and adopted vertical transovarial transmission,accompanied by ever-increasing intensification in the poultry industry.Together,we uncovered a previously unseen paradigm for remodeling bacterial surface appendages that supplements virulence-enhanced evolution with increased vertical transmission.Xiao Zhou Xiamei Kang Jiaqi Chen Yan Song Chenghao Jia Lin Teng Yanting Tang Zhijie Jiang Xianqi Peng Xiaoxi Tao Yiwei Xu Linlin Huang Xuebin Xu Yaohui Xu Tengfei Zhang Shenye Yu Jiansen Gong Shaohui Wang Yuqing Liu Guoqiang Zhu Corinna Kehrenberg Franois-Xavier Weill Paul Barrow Yan Li Guoping Zhao Min Yue 2023National Science Review2023,10,10:0

15Changes in the gut microbiota of osteoporosis patients based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing:a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Osteoporosis(OP)has become a major public health issue,threatening the bone health of middle-aged and elderly people from all around the world.Changes in the gut microbiota(GM)are correlated with the maintenance of bone mass and bone quality.However,research results in this field remain highly controversial,and no systematic review or meta-analysis of the relationship between GM and OP has been conducted.This paper addresses this shortcoming,focusing on the difference in the GM abundance between OP patients and healthy controls based on previous 16S ribosomal RNA(rRNA)gene sequencing results,in order to provide new clinical reference information for future customized prevention and treatment options of OP.Methods:According to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA),we comprehensively searched the databases of Pub Med,Web of Science,Embase,Cochrane Library,and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI).In addition,we applied the R programming language version 4.0.3 and Stata 15.1 software for data analysis.We also implemented the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale(NOS),funnel plot analysis,sensitivity analysis,Egger’s test,and Begg’s test to assess the risk of bias.Results:This research ultimately considered 12 studies,which included the fecal GM data of 2033 people(604 with OP and 1429 healthy controls).In the included research papers,it was observed that the relative abundance of Lactobacillus and Ruminococcus increased in the OP group,while the relative abundance for Bacteroides of Bacteroidetes increased(except for Ireland).Meanwhile,Firmicutes,Blautia,Alistipes,Megamonas,and Anaerostipes showed reduced relative abundance in Chinese studies.In the linear discriminant analysis Effect Size(LEfSe)analysis,certain bacteria showed statistically significant results consistently across different studies.Conclusions:This observational meta-analysis revealed that changes in the GM were correlated with OP,and variations in some advantageous GM might involve regional differences.Rui HUANG Pan LIU Yiguang BAI Jieqiong HUANG Rui PAN Huihua LI Yeping SU Quan ZHOU Ruixin MA Shaohui ZONG Gaofeng ZENG 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,12:0
16Response of growth,metabolism and yield of Dendrocalamopsis oldhami to long-day photoperiod and fertilizer compensation显示文摘The effects of long-day photoperiod on growth,photo synthetic fluorescence,carbon and nitrogen metabolism,and yield of Dendrocalamopsis oldhami and the compensation effects of fertilization were investigated.A completely randomized design was used with two light factors(bamboo culms cultivated in solar greenhouse under long-day[Ls]and short-day[Ln]treatments);two organic nitrogen fertilizer levels(application of organic fertilizer[OF]and no organic fertilizer[NF]);and three nitrogen fertilizer levels(Low[N0],medium[N1]and high nitrogen[N2]).Leaf chlorophyll and fluorescence parameters(φPo,PIABS,and ETo/CSm)decreased and DIo/CSmincreased in Ls compared to Ln.Indole acetic acid(IAA)and gibberellic acid(GA3)levels decreased,whereas abscisic acid(ABA)increased.Leaf area decreased and leaf dry mass increased.The contents of carbon and nitrogen metabolism-related enzymes(nitrate reductase,glutamine synthetase,amylase,and sucrose synthase)and products(total nitrogen,organic carbon,soluble sugar,and starch)increased.Single bamboo shoot weight and diameter at breast height decreased,whereas shoot quantity and total yield increased.Fertilizer application significantly affected physiological growth and yield in the two light treatments,thus promoting carbon and nitrogen metabolism.TheφPo,PIABS,IAA,and GA3contents increased slightly,whereas ABA levels decreased.Shoot quantity,individual weight,and total yield improved.IA A,soluble sugar,and total yield to organic manure and light were lower than those of nitrogen levels(FN>FL,FO).Other indicators showed lower responses to different fertilization treatments than the light factor(FL>FN,FO).The ability of D.oldhami to alter its morphological and physiobiochemical traits and yield in response to variations in light applications may translate into high phenotypic plasticity.Fertilization significantly improved photoplasticity of D.oldhami.Under Ls,D.oldhami had high metabolic rates.was easily inhibited by light,and showed accelerated leaf senescence,and shoot quantity and total output increased.However,the quality of individual shoots decreased.Different fertilization treatments affected D.oldhami differently under the two light intensities.Ls sensitivity to nitrogen was higher.Fertilization could delay leaf dormancy and senescence under Ls treatment.Organic fertilizer addition could improve yield more effectively,with OFN1being the optimal fertilization level.Zixu Yin Shaohui Fan Wen Xia Yang Zhou Xiao Zhou Xuan Zhang Chengji Li Fengying Guan 2023Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,1:0
17A Review on Research of Foreshocks显示文摘This paper briefly introduces the current research progress in the field of foreshocks,both in China and abroad,and contrasts the common characteristics and the mechanisms of foreshocks of the sequence under the definition of different conditions of foreshocks. The main recognition methods of foreshocks are briefly reviewed,and their characteristics and existing problems are reviewed and discussed. Foreshocks are small earthquakes that occur before the mainshock and adjacent to the main source location. A foreshock sequence is constituted of a series of foreshock activities that occur before the mainshock. The proportion of earthquake cases includes direct foreshocks ranging from 10% - 40% at different defined conditions of foreshocks. Theoretically,cascade model or pre-slid model can explain foreshocks. Foreshocks are mainly concentrated in the range of 10km -75 km of the mainshock,but their time distribution form is very complicated,mostly prior to the mainshock from 1 or 2 days,the seismicity rate of part of foreshock sequences shows significant acceleration features,but many foreshock sequences often show the attenuation characteristics of mainshock-aftershock sequences. The most prominent feature of foreshocks is a focal consistent mechanism and low b-value of earthquakes of the earthquake sequence. Foreshocks seems to have a certain relationship with tectonic environment and the rupture form of the mainshock,in limited foreshocks earthquake cases,the dip-thrusting earthquakes seem to have relatively more foreshocks. The results of some of the earthquake cases show that the focal depth of foreshocks gradually moved downward with the mainshock approaching. So far,it is difficult to determine whether an earthquake or an earthquake sequence is a foreshock or foreshock sequence before the mainshock. The identification methods of foreshocks mainly include a statistical method of analogy,focal consistent mechanism and related derivative method,the fine detection of the earthquake nucleation process. From a few existing studies of earthquake cases,in spite of earthquake temporal clusters and focal consistent mechanism being the most significant features of foreshock sequence,there were not sufficient conditions for judging a foreshock sequence. Because the rupture rate of expansion and sliding displacement have a tendency to increase faster with time,the method of fine detection of the earthquake nucleation process is expected to play a more important role in the identification of foreshocks,but it needs more earthquake examples to be verified.Zhou Shaohui Jiang Haikun 2016Earthquake Research in China2016,30,4:0
18Microbial synthesis of N, P co-doped carbon supported PtCu catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Developing highly efficient and stable platinum-based electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) is critical to expediting commercialization of fuel cells.Herein,several PtCu alloy nanocatalysts supported on N,P co-doped carbon(PtCu/NPC) were prepared by microbial-sorption and carbonization-reduction.Among them,PtCu/NPC-700 ℃ exhibits excellent catalytic performance for ORR with a mass activity of 0.895 A mg_(pt)^(-1)(@0.9 V) which is 8.29 folds of commercial Pt/C.Additionally,the ECSA and MA of PtCu/NPC-700℃ only decrease by 14.2% and 18.7% respectively,while Pt/C decreases by 35.2% and 52.8% after 10,000 cycles of ADT test.Moreover,the PtCu/NPC-700℃ catalyst emanates a maximum power density of 715 mW cm^(-2) and only 11.1% loss of maximum power density after 10,000 ADTs in single-cell test,indicating PtCu/NPC-700℃ also manifests higher activity and durability in actual single-cell operation than Pt/C.This research provides an easy and novel strategy for developing highly active and durable Pt-based alloy catalyst.Shaohui Zhang Suying Liu Jingwen Huang Haikun Zhou Xuanzhi Liu Pengfei Tan Haoyun Chen Yili Liang Jun Pan 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,9:0

20Gold mineralization in Jiaodong Peninsula and destruction of North China Craton:Insights from Mesozoic granite显示文摘Large-scale tectonic magmatism and extensive gold mineralization have occurred in the eastern North China Craton(NCC)(Jiaodong and Liaodong peninsulas)since Mesozoic,which indicated that the region experienced decratonization process.The genesis type of granites evolved from S-type to I-type and A-type during Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous,and thus reflects the evolution of geodynamics in the Late Mesozoic,indicating the varied subduction process of the Paleo-Pacific Plate(PPP)and the craton destruction.The evolution of geochemical features shows that the mantle beneath the Jiaodong Peninsula evolved from EM-II in Jurassic to EM-I in Early Cretaceous,demonstrating that the mantle switched from enriched to depleted.The gold of decratonic gold deposits in Jiaodong Peninsula mainly comes from the lithospheric mantle domains metasomatized by fluids derived from the metamorphism and dehydration of the subducted slab in the mantle transition zone.The rapid decomposition of minerals leads to the concentrated release of ore-forming fluids,and this process leads to the explosive gold mineralization during the craton destruction.Extensive magmatic uplift and extensional structures,triggered by the craton destruction in Early Cretaceous formed the extensional tectonic system,providing space for the decratonic gold deposits in Jiaodong Peninsula.WANG Bin ZHOU Jianbo DING Zhengjiang ZHAO Tiqun SONG Mingchun BAO Zhongyi LYU Junyang XU Shaohui YAN Chunming LIU Xiangdong LIU Jialiang 2023Global Geology2023,26,2:0
