1Transmutation of ancient settlements and environmental changes between 6000-2000 aBP in the Chaohu Lake Basin, East China显示文摘Based on the temporal-spatial distribution features of ancient settlement sites from the middle and late Neolithic Age to the Han dynasty in the Chaohu Lake Basin of Anhui Province,East China,using the methods of GIS combined with the reconstructed paleoenvironment by the records of lake sediment since Holocene,the transmutation of ancient settlements with response to environmental changes in this area has been discussed.Studies show that the main feature of transmutation of ancient settlements from the middle and late Neolithic Age to the Han Dynasty was that the distribution of settlements in this area changed from high altitudes to low ones and kept approaching the Chaohu Lake with the passage of time.These could be the response to the climate change from warm-moist to a relatively warm-dry condition during the middle Holocene,leading to the lake level fluctuations.The large area of exposed land provided enough space for human activities.These indicate that the above changes in geomorphologic evolution and hydrology influenced by climate conditions affected the transmutation of ancient settlements greatly.The distribution pattern of settlement sites was that the number of sites in the west was more than in the east.This pattern may be related to the geomorphologic conditions such as frequent channel shifting of the Yangtze River as well as flood disasters during the Holocene optimum.Therefore,climate change was the inducement of the transmutation of ancient settlements in the Chaohu Lake Basin,which exerted great influence on the distribution,expansion and development of the ancient settlements.WU Li WANG Xinyuan ZHOU Kunshu MO Duowen ZHU Cheng GAO Chao ZHANG Guangsheng LI Lan LIU Li HAN Weiguang 2010Journal of Geographical Sciences2010,20,5:16

6Using 2D NMR to determine the degree of branching of complicated hyperbranched polymers显示文摘Degree of branching (DB) is a crucial structure parameter of hyperbranched polymers, which can be determined by 1H NMR, quantitative 13C NMR, degradative method, etc. However, for complicated hy-perbranched polymers, intricate structure and severe overlap of spectral signals hinder the determina-tion of DB using traditional methods. In this work, the architecture of complicated hyperbranched polymers has been elucidated with the help of 2D NMR techniques. Using such a method, overlapped NMR signals can be well separated into a two-dimensional space, and additional structural information is also available. Correspondingly, quantitative analysis for complicated systems can be realized. 7Amphiphilic drug-drug conjugate for cancer therapy with combination of chemotherapeutic and antiangiogenesis drugs显示文摘The progression and metastasis of solid tumors strongly rely on the process of forming nascent blood vessels.However,using angiogenesis inhibitors alone does not meet the cancer treatment needs.Herein,we used the amphiphilic drug-drug conjugate(ADDC)strategy to fabricate a new drug conjugate with the combination of chemotherapeutic drug and antiangiogenesis drug together.With one-step esterification of hydrophilic floxuridine(FUDR)and hydrophobic pseudolaric acid B(PAB),the conjugate was synthesized.The amphiphilic property of FUDR-PAB conjugate induced the self-assembly to form nanoparticles in water.From further in vitro and in vivo experiments,this FUDR-PAB conjugate does not only have a high antitumor effect,but also shows efficient antianiogenesis property.These results offer a promising ADDC strategy for designing drugs with combination of chemotherapeutic drug and antiangiogenesis drug together.Mo Sun Qiuhui Qian Leilei Shi Li Xu Qunfang Liu Linzhu Zhou Xinyuan Zhu Jian-Min Yue Deyue Yan 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,1:3
8Career concerns, shareholder monitoring and investment efficiency: From the perspective of compensation contract rigidity in Chinese SOEs显示文摘This paper presents theoretical analysis of how career concerns and shareholder monitoring affect chief executive officer(CEO) agency costs. We investigate investment efficiency prior to CEO retirement based on a sample of Chinese state-owned enterprises(SOEs) during the 1999–2007 period and find that there is a significant decline in investment efficiency prior to CEO retirement, relative to other periods, and that this decline becomes less significant under stronger shareholder supervision. 9Ultra-flat broadband micro wave frequency comb generation based on optical frequency comb with a multiple-quantumwell electro-absorption modulator in critical state显示文摘In this paper,we proposed a novel ultra・flat broadband microwave frequency comb(MFC)generation based on optical frequency comb(OFC)with a multiplequantum-well electroabsorption modulator(MQW-EAM)in critical state.The scheme is simple and easy to adjust.The performance of the MFC generation scheme is investigated using software Optisystem.The results show that the comb spacing of MFC can be adjusted from 5 to 20 GHz by changing RF signafs frequency and the MFC is almost independent on the linewidth of the tunable laser diode.The performance of the MFC can be improved by reasonably increasing the voltage of the RF,the smallsignal gain of the Erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA)and the responsivity of the photodetector.The MFC generated by this scheme has 300 GHz effective bandwidth with 15 comb lines,whose power variation is 0.02 dB,when the components9 parameters in the Optisystem are set as follows:the power of tunable laser diode(TLD)is 0 dBm,the wavelength is 1552.52 nm,and linewidth is 1 MHz;RF signaPs frequency is 20 GHz and the voltage is 10 V;the reverse bias voltage of MQW-EAM is 6.92 V;the small-signal gain of the EDFA is 40 dB;the responsivity of the photodetector(PD)is 1 A/W.Cong SHEN Peili LI Xinyuan ZHU Yuanfang ZHANG Yaqiao HAN 2019Frontiers of Optoelectronics2019,12,4:3
10Fluorescent AIE dots encapsulated organically modified silica (ORMOSIL) nanoparticles for two-photon cellular imaging显示文摘2,3-Bis(4-(phenyl(4-(1,2,2-triphenylvinyl)phenyl)amino)phenyl) fumaronitrile (TPE-TPA-FN or TTF), which possesses aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristic, is doped in organically modified silica (ORMOSIL) nanoparticles. By increasing the weight ratio of TTF to the precursor of silica nanoparticles (the quantities of the precursors were kept the same), the fluorescence intensity of nanoparticles increased correspondingly, due to the formation of larger AIE dots in the cores of ORMOSIL nanoparticles. The fluorescent and biocompatible nanoprobes were then utilized for in vitro imaging of HeLa cells. Two-photon fluorescence microscopy clearly illustrated that the nanoparticles have the capacity of nucleus permeability, as well as cytoplasm staining towards tumor cells. 11Bioreducible unimolecular micelles based on amphiphilic multiarm hyperbranched copolymers for triggered drug release显示文摘A novel type of bioreducible amphiphilic multiarm hyperbranched copolymer (H40-star-PLA-SS-PEG) based on Boltorn H40 core,poly(L-lactide) (PLA) inner-shell,and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) outer-shell with disulfide-linkages between the hydrophobic and hydrophilic moieties was developed as unimolecular micelles for controlled drug release triggered by reduction.The obtained H40-star-PLA-SS-PEG was characterized in detail by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR),Fourier transform infrared (FTIR),gel permeation chromatography (GPC),differential scanning calorimeter (DSC),and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA).Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) analyses suggested that H40-star-PLA-SS-PEG formed stable unimolecular micelles in aqueous solution with an average diameter of 19 nm.Interestingly,these micelles aggregated into large particles rapidly in response to 10 mM dithiothreitol (DTT),most likely due to shedding of the hydrophilic PEG outer-shell through reductive cleavage of the disulfide bonds.As a hydrophobic anticancer model drug,doxorubicin (DOX) was encapsulated into these reductive unimolecular micelles.In vitro release studies revealed that under the reduction-stimulus,the detachment of PEG outer-shell in DOX-loaded micelles resulted in a rapid drug release.Flow cytometry and confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) measurements indicated that these DOX-loaded micelles were easily internalized by living cells.Methyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay demonstrated a markedly enhanced drug efficacy of DOX-loaded H40-star-PLA-SS-PEG micelles as compared to free DOX.All of these results show that these bioreducible unimolecular micelles are promising carriers for the triggered intracellular delivery of hydrophobic anticancer drugs.PANG Yan 1,LIU JinYao 1,SU Yue 1,ZHU BangShang 2,HUANG Wei 1,ZHOU YongFeng 1,ZHU XinYuan 1,2 & YAN DeYue 1 1 School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering,State Key Laboratory of Metal Matrix Composites,Shanghai Jiao Tong University,Shanghai 200240,China 2 Instrumental Analysis Center,Shanghai Jiao Tong University,Shanghai 200240,China 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,12:3
12Long-term variations of X-ray pulse profiles for the Crab pulsar:data analysis and modeling显示文摘The pulse profiles of the Crab pulsar(as well as some other pulsars)vary with time.They can lead to a major source of intrinsic timing noise,which lacks a detailed physical model.The phase separation?between the first left peak(P1)and the second right peak(P2)is a key parameter that shows the variations of pulse profiles for the Crab pulsar.It was found that the evolution of?has a tendency with increasing rates of 0.82?±0.25?,0.80?±0.54?,and 0.77?±0.28?per century for the 2-6,6-15,and15-60 ke V bands,respectively.Furthermore,the flux ratios(P2/P1)of X-ray pulse profiles in the three bands were calculated,and the derived flux ratios were consistent with the radio and X-ray measurements of the Insight-HXMT.In addition to discovering the physical origin of the pulse changes,the high-SNR X-ray pulse profiles were simulated in the annular gap model,and two model parameters(e.g.,the maximum emission heights of the two peaks)were observed to slightly affect the variations of peak separation.We fitted the long-term variations of emission heights of the two peaks and discovered that the emission heights showed increasing tendencies with time.Variations of these emission heights induced a characteristic period derivative,and a complete formula for both the magnetic dipole radiation and wind-particle-induced variations of the moment of inertia was used for the pulsar’s spin-down to obtain the variation rate˙αof the magnetic inclination angle,which was-1.60?per century.Intrinsic timing noise is observed to be mainly induced by the variations of pulse profiles,which might correlate with a characteristic spin period derivative arising from the fluctuations of the emission regions.This work will lay a foundation for understanding the origin of intrinsic timing noise and making high-precision timing models in the future.LunHua Shang YuanJie Du XiangQun Cui ShiJun Dang JiGuang Lu JunTao Bai QiJun Zhi YouLi Tuo LinLi Yan LiangWei Huang XinYuan Zhang XiaoMin Bei QingQing Lin GuoJun Qiao Hua Shen RiHong Zhu 2020Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,10:2
13Magnetic properties and microstructures of terbium coated and grain boundary diffusion treated sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets by magnetron sputtering显示文摘Tb coating on the surface of commercial sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet was prepared by DC magnetron sputtering.The secondary heat treatment was used to regulate the microstructure for the enhancement of coercivity,namely diffusion treatment and annealing treatment.The coercivity increases significantly from 18.3 to 28.0 kOe,the remanence decreases slightly from 14.1 to 14.0 kGs,and the comprehensive magnetic properties are higher than 75(Hcj+(BH)_(max)=76.7).SEM results indicate that,on the one hand,950℃is the optimal diffusion temperature.Lower diffusion temperature results in insufficient diffusion of Tb element.Higher diffusion temperature can lead to the main phase grain growth,the decrease of Nd-rich phase,and forming holes in the magnet.On the other hand,500℃is the optimal annealing temperature.Lower annealing temperature can result in the reduction of Nd-rich phase.Higher annealing temperature can generate the non-defined Nd-rich thin layer between grains.Wei Zhu Yang Luo Zilong Wang Xinyuan Bai Haijun Peng Dunbo Yu 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,2:2
14Imperfection sensitivity of mechanical properties in soft network materials with horseshoe microstructures显示文摘Developments of soft network materials with rationally distributed wavy microstructures have enabled many promising applications in bio-integrated electronic devices,due to their abilities to reproduce precisely nonlinear mechanical properties of human tissues/organs.In practical applications,the soft network materials usually serve as the encapsulation layer and/or substrate of bio-integrated electronic devices,where deterministic holes can be utilized to accommodate hard chips,thereby increasing the filling ratio of the device system.Therefore,it is essential to understand how the hole-type imperfection affects the stretchability of soft network materialswith various geometric constructions.Thiswork presents a systematic investigation of the imperfection sensitivity of mechanical properties in soft network materials consisting of horseshoe microstructures,through combined computational and experimental studies.A factor of imperfection insensitivity of stretchability is introduced to quantify the influence of hole imperfections,as compared to the case of perfect soft network materials.Such factor is shown to have different dependences on the arc angle and normalized width of horseshoe microstructures for triangular network materials.The soft triangular and Kagome network materials,especially with the arc angle in the range of(30?,60?),are found to be much more imperfection insensitive than corresponding traditional lattice materials with straight microstructures.Differently,the soft honeycomb network materials are not as imperfection insensitive as traditional honeycomb lattice materials.Jianxing Liu Xinyuan Zhu Zhangming Shen Yihui Zhang 2021Acta Mechanica Sinica2021,37,7:1

20Component reconstitution-driven photoelectrochemical sensor for sensitive detection of Cu2+ based on advanced CuS/CdS p-n junction显示文摘The rational design of robust photoactive material and artful sensing strategy are vital for the construction of an ultrasensitive photoelectrochemical(PEC)sensor.Although great progress has been made in PEC sensing,the resultant detection performances and adoptable sensing strategies are still limited.Herein,through the design of a subtle component reconstitution strategy,an ultrasensitive PEC sensor is developed for the detection of Cu2+based on advanced CuS/CdS nanohybrids(NHs).This proposed sensor shows superior sensing performances with a low detection limit of 0.1 nM and a wide detection range from 0.2 nM to 60 pM due to the formation of p-n junction between CuS and CdS and the component transformation of CdS to CuxS(x=1,2).Moreover,such PEC sensor also displays goodish results for monitoring the Cu^2+released from apoptotic HeLa cells in vitro.This idea of component reconstitution provides a new paradigm for the design of advanced PEC sensors.Jing Liu Ying Liu Wei Wang Jing Li Xinyuan Yu Qinshu Zhu Zhihui Dai 2019Science China Chemistry2019,62,12:1
