| 1 | Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. | 2 | Saccades of video head impulse test in Meniere's disease and Vestibular Migraine: What can we learn from?显示文摘Background:Saccades are often observed on video head impulse tests(vHIT)in patients with Meniere's Disease(MD)and Vestibular Migraine(VM).However,their saccadic features are not fully described.Objective:This study aims to identify the saccades characteristics of MD and VM.Methods:75 VM patients and 103 definite unilateral MD patients were enrolled in this study.First raw saccades were exported and analyzed.The VM patients were divided into left and right based on their ears,while the MD patients were separated into affected and unaffected subgroups based on their audiograms and symptoms.Results:The MD patients have more saccades on the affected side(85%vs.69%),and saccade velocity is more consistent than the contralateral side(shown by the coefficient of variation).The saccades occurrence rates on both sides are similar in VM(77%vs.76%),as are other saccadic parameters.The MD patients have more significant inter-aural differences than the VM patients,manifested in higher velocity(p-value 0.000),earlier arriving(p-value 0.010),and more time-domain gathered(p-value 0.003)on the affected side.Conclusions:Bilateral saccades are commonly observed in MD and VM.In contrast to MD,saccades on VM are subtle,scattered,and late-arrived.Furthermore,the MD patients showed inconsistent saccadic distribution with more velocity-uniform saccades on the affected side. | Yi Du Xingjian Liu Lili Ren Yu Wang Fei Ji Weiwei Guo Ziming Wu | 2023 | Journal of Otology2023,18,2: | 1 |

| 4 | Three-Year Consecutive Field Application of Erythromycin Fermentation Residue Following Hydrothermal Treatment:Cumulative Effect on Soil Antibiotic Resistance Genes显示文摘Fermentation-based antibiotic production results in abundant nutrient-rich fermentation residue with high potential for recycling,but the high antibiotic residual concentration restricts its usefulness(e.g.,in land application as organic fertilizer).In this study,an industrial-scale hydrothermal facility for the treatment of erythromycin fermentation residue(EFR)was investigated,and the potential risk of the long-term soil application of treated EFR promoting environmental antibiotic resistance development was evaluated.The treatment effectively removed bacteria and their DNA,and an erythromycin removal ratio of up to approximately 98%was achieved.The treated EFR was utilized as organic fertilizer for consecutive field applications from 2018 to 2020,with dosages ranging from 3750 to 15000 kg·hm^(-2),resulting in subinhibitory levels of erythromycin(ranging from 0.83-76.00μg·kg^(-1))in soils.Metagenomic shotgun sequencing was then used to characterize the antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs),mobile genetic elements(MGEs),and bacterial community composition of the soils.The soil ARG abundance and diversity did not respond to the treated EFR application in the first year,but gradually changed in the second and third year of application.The highest fold change in relative abundance of macrolide-lincosamide-streptogramin(MLS)and total ARGs were 12.59 and 2.75 times,compared with the control(CK;without application),respectively.The soil MGEs and taxonomic composition showed similar temporal trends to those of the ARGs,and appeared to assist in driving increasing ARG proliferation,as revealed by correlation analysis and structural equation models(SEMs).The relative abundance of particular erm resistance genes(RNA methyltransferase genes)increased significantly in the third year of treated EFR application.The close association of erm with MGEs suggested that horizontal gene transfer played a critical role in the observed erm gene enrichment.Metagenomic binning results demonstrated that the proliferation of mac genecarrying hosts was responsible for the increased abundance of mac genes(efflux pump genes).This study shows that sub-inhibitory levels of erythromycin in soils had a cumulative effect on soil ARGs over time and emphasizes the importance of long-term monitoring for assessing the risk of soil amendment with treated industrial waste. | Ziming Han Haodi Feng Xiao Luan Yunpeng Shen Liren Ren Liujie Deng D.G.Joakim Larsson Michael Gillings Yu Zhang Min Yang | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,8: | 1 |
| 5 | Molecular cloning,characterization and expression analysis of three key starch synthesis-related genes from the bulb of a rare lily germplasm,Lilium brownii var.giganteum显示文摘Starch is the predominant compound in bulb scales,and previous studies have shown that bulblet development is closely associated with starch enrichment.However,how starch synthesis affects bulbification at the molecular level is unclear.In this study,we demonstrate that Lilium brownii var.giganteum,a wild lily with a giant bulb in nature,and L.brownii,the native species,have different starch levels and characteristics according to cytological and ultra-structural observations.We cloned the complete sequence of three key gene-encoding enzymes(LbgAGPS,LbgGBSS,and LbgSSⅢ)during starch synthesis by rapid amplification of 5’and 3’complementary DNA(cDNA)ends(RACE)technology.Bioinformatics analysis revealed that the proteins deduced by these genes contain the canonical conserved domains.Constructed phylogenetic trees confirmed the evolutionary relationships with proteins from other species,including monocotyledons and dicotyledons.The transcript levels of various tissues and time course samples obtained during bulblet development uncovered relatively high expression levels in bulblets and gradual increase expression accompanying bulblet growth.Moreover,a set of single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)was discovered in the AGPS genes of four lily genotypes,and a purifying selection fashion was predicted according to the non-synonymous/synonymous(Ka/Ks)values.Taken together,our results suggested that key starch-synthesizing genes might play important roles in bulblet development and lead to distinctive phenotypes in bulblet size. | Yun WU Minyi SUN Shiqi LI Ruihan MIN Cong GAO Qundan LYU Ziming REN Yiping XIA | 2021 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,6: | 1 |
| 6 | Molecular cloning,characterization and promoter analysis of LbgCWIN1 and its expression profiles in response to exogenous sucrose during in vitro bulblet initiation in lily显示文摘Lily(Lilium spp.) is an important ornamental flower, which is mainly propagated by bulbs. Cell wall invertases(CWINs), which catalyze the irreversibly conversion of sucrose into glucose and fructose in the extracellular space, are key enzymes participating in sucrose allocation in higher plants. Previous studies have shown that CWINs play an essential role in bulblet initiation process in bulbous crops, but the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear. Here, a CWIN gene of Lilium brownii var. giganteum(Lbg) was identified and amplified from genomic DNA. Quantitative RT-PCR assays revealed that the expression level of LbgCWIN1 was highly upregulated exactly when the endogenous starch degraded in non-sucrose medium during in vitro bulblet initiation in Lbg. Phylogenetic relationship, motif, and domain analysis of LbgCWIN1 protein and CWINs in other plant species showed that all sequences of these CWIN proteins were highly conserved. The promoter sequence of LbgCWIN1 possessed a number of alpha-amylase-, phytohormone-, light-and stress-responsive cis-elements. Meanwhile, β-glucuronidase(GUS) assay showed that the 459 bp upstream fragment from the translational start site displayed maximal promoter activity. | 9 | Robot-aided fN∙m torque sensing within an ultrawide dynamic range显示文摘In situ scanning electron microscope(SEM)characterization have enabled the stretching,compression,and bending of micro/nanomaterials and have greatly expanded our understanding of small-scale phenomena.However,as one of the fundamental approaches for material analytics,torsion tests at a small scale remain a major challenge due to the lack of an ultrahigh precise torque sensor and the delicate sample assembly strategy.Herein,we present a microelectromechanical resonant torque sensor with an ultrahigh resolution of up to 4.78 fN∙m within an ultrawide dynamic range of 123 dB.Moreover,we propose a nanorobotic system to realize the precise assembly of microscale specimens with nanoscale positioning accuracy and to conduct repeatable in situ pure torsion tests for the first time.As a demonstration,we characterized the mechanical properties of Si microbeams through torsion tests and found that these microbeams were five-fold stronger than their bulk counterparts.The proposed torsion characterization system pushes the limit of mechanical torsion tests,overcomes the deficiencies in current in situ characterization techniques,and expands our knowledge regarding the behavior of micro/nanomaterials at various loads,which is expected to have significant implications for the eventual development and implementation of materials science. | Shudong Wang Xueyong Wei Haojian Lu Ziming Ren Zhuangde Jiang Juan Ren Zhan Yang Lining Sun Wanfeng Shang Xinyu Wu Yajing Shen | 2021 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,1: | 0 |
| 10 | Analysis of video head impulse test saccades data in patients with vestibular migraine or probable vestibular migraine显示文摘Objective:Saccades accompanied by normal gain in video head impulse tests(vHIT)are often observed in patients with vestibular migraine(VM).However,they are not considered as an independent indicator,reducing their utility in diagnosing VM.To better understand clinical features of VM,it is necessary to understand raw saccades data.Methods:Fourteen patients with confirmed VM,45 patients with probable VM(p-VM)and 14 agematched healthy volunteers were included in this study.Clinical findings related to spontaneous nystagmus(SN),positional nystagmus(PN),head-shaking nystagmus(HSN),caloric test and vHIT were recorded.Raw saccades data were exported and numbered by their sequences,and their features analyzed.Results:VM patients showed no SN,PN or HSN,and less than half of them showed unilateral weakness(UW)on caloric test.The first saccades from lateral semicircular canal stimulation were the most predominant for both left and right sides.Neither velocity nor time parameters were significantly different when compared between the two sides.Most VM patients(86%)exhibited small saccades,around 35%of the head peak velocity,with a latency of 200e400 ms.Characteristics of saccades were similar in patients with p-VM.Only four normal subjects showed saccades,all unilateral and seemingly random.Conclusions:Small saccades involving bilateral semicircular canals with a scattered distribution pattern are common in patients with VM and p-VM. | Yi Du Xingjian Liu Lili Ren Yu Wang Ziming Wu | 2022 | Journal of Otology2022,17,4: | 0 |
