1Origin of gray-green sandstone in ore bed of sandstone type uranium deposit in north Ordos Basin显示文摘Dongsheng sandstone-type uranium deposit is located in the northern part of Ordos Basin, occurring in the transitional zones between gray-green and gray sandstones of Jurassic Zhiluo Formation. Sandstones in oxidized zone of the ore bed look gray-green, being of unique signature and different from one of ordinary inter-layered oxidation zone of sandstone-type uranium deposits. The character and origin of gray-green sandstones are systematically studied through their petrology, mineralogy and geochemistry. It is pointed out that this color of sandstones is originated from secondary oil-gas reduction processes after paleo-oxidation, being due to acicular-leaf chlorite covering surfaces of the sandstone grains. 4Effects of erythropoietin on the expression of tumor necrosis factor-alpha and Bax after facial nerve axotomy in rats显示文摘This study sought to evaluate the effect of high-dose erythropoietin (EPO;5 000 IU/kg) on the expression of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and Bax in the facial nucleus after facial nerve transection in rats.A total of 42 Wistar rats of both genders were used in this study,and 40 rats were randomly divided into 2 groups:EPO group and model group.The EPO group was treated with EPO once a day for 5 days at a dose of 5 000 IU/kg body weight.The model group was treated with saline of the same amount.At day 3 after EPO (or saline) treatment,the right facial nerves of the 40 rats were transected at the level of the stylomastoid foramen,with the left sides untreated.The remaining 2 rats that did not undergo axotomy served as the control group.The surviving motor neurons in operated rats were counted in coronal paraffin sections of the facial nucleus.The expression of TNF-α and Bax in the facial nucleus was detected by immunohistochemical staining at days 3,7,14,21,and 28 after axotomy.At days 14,21,and 28 after facial nerve axotomy,a significantly greater proportion of facial motor neurons survived in the EPO group than in the model group.After axotomy,the expression of TNF-α and Bax increased in motor neurons in both the EPO and the model groups.TNF-α expression reached its peak level at day 14 after axotomy,while Bax expression reached its peak level at day 21.TNF-α expression was much lower in the EPO group than in the model group at all time points.No significant difference in Bax expression was found between the EPO and the model groups.These results indicate that high-dose EPO treatment attenuates the increase in TNF-α expression in the facial nucleus and reduces the loss of motor neurons after facial nerve transection in rats.However,high-dose EPO treatment has little effect on Bax expression.Wei Zhang Shengyu Lue Ziying Yu Ming Bi Bin Sun 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,6:6
5Platelet-rich plasma combined with injectable hyaluronic acid hydrogel for porcine cartilage regeneration: a 6-month follow-up显示文摘Based on our previous study,the utilization of an ultraviolet light photo-cross-linkable hyaluronic acid(HA)hydrogel integrated with a small molecule kartogenin-encapsulated nanoparticles obtained good reconstruction of osteochondral defects in a rabbit model,indicating the superiority of injectable hydrogel-based scaffolds in cartilage tissue engineering.Platelet-rich plasma(PRP),rich in various growth factors,proteins and cytokines,is considered to facilitate cartilage healing by stimulating cell proliferation and inducing chondrogenesis in cartilage defect site.The aim of this study was to test the therapeutic feasibility of autologous PRP combined with injectable HA hydrogel on cartilage repair.The focal cartilage defects with different critical sizes in the medial femoral condyle of a porcine model were used.At 6 months,the minipigs were sacrificed for assessment of macroscopic appearance,magnetic resonance imaging,micro-computed tomography,histology staining and biomechanics.The HA hydrogel combined with PRP-treated group showed more hyaline-like cartilage exhibited by macroscopic appearance and histological staining in terms of extracellular matrix and type II collagen without formation of hypertrophic cartilage,indicating its capacity to improve cartilage healing in the minipig model evaluated at 6 months,with full-thickness cartilage defect of 8.5mm diameter and osteochondral defect of 6.5mm diameter,5mm depth exhibiting apparent regeneration.Wenqiang Yan Xingquan Xu Qian Xu Ziying Sun Qing Jiang Dongquan Shi 2020Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,1:6

7Targeting macrophagic SHP2 for ameliorating osteoarthritis via TLR signaling显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA),in which M1 macrophage polarization in the synovium exacerbates disease progression,is a major cause of cartilage degeneration and functional disabilities.Therapeutic strategies of OA designed to interfere with the polarization of macrophages have rarely been reported.Here,we report that SHP099,as an allosteric inhibitor of src-homology 2-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase 2(SHP2),attenuated osteoarthritis progression by inhibiting M1 macrophage polarization.We demonstrated that M1 macrophage polarization was accompanied by the overexpression of SHP2 in the synovial tissues of OA patients and OA model mice.Compared to wild-type(WT)mice,myeloid lineage conditional Shp2 knockout(c KO)mice showed decreased M1 macrophage polarization and attenuated severity of synovitis,an elevated expression of cartilage phenotype protein collagen II(COL2),and a decreased expression of cartilage degradation markers collagen X(COL10)and matrix metalloproteinase3(MMP3)in OA cartilage.Further mechanistic analysis showed that SHP099 inhibited lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced Toll-like receptor(TLR)signaling mediated by nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)and PI3K—AKT signaling.Moreover,intra-articular injection of SHP099 also significantly attenuated OA progression,including joint synovitis and cartilage damage.These results indicated that allosteric inhibition of SHP2 might be a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of OA.Ziying Sun Qianqian Liu Zhongyang Lv Jiawei Li Xingquan Xu Heng Sun Maochun Wang Kuoyang Sun Tianshu Shi Zizheng Liu Guihua Tan Wenqiang Yan Rui Wu Yannick Xiaofan Yang Shiro Ikegawa Qing Jiang Yang Sun Dongquan Shi 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,7:2

13Surface microstructure-controlled ZrO_(2) for highly sensitive room-temperature NO2 sensors显示文摘The high sensitivity of room-temperature gas sensors is the key to innovation in the areas of environment,energy conservation and safety.However,metal-oxide-based sensors generally operate at high temperatures.Herein,we designed three ZrO_(2)-based sensors and explored their NO_(2)sensing properties at room temperature.ZrO_(2)with three different morphologies and microstructure were synthesized by simple hydrothermal methods.The microstructures of sensing materials are expected to significantly affect gas sensing properties.The rod-shaped ZrO_(2)(ZrO_(2)-R)displayed the advantages such as higher crystallinity,larger pore size,narrower band gap and more chemisorbed adsorbed oxygen,compared to hollow sphere-shaped ZrO_(2)(ZrO_(2)-HS),stellate-shaped ZrO_(2)(ZrO_(2)–S).The ZrO_(2)-R sensor showed the highest response towards 30 ppm NO_(2)(423.8%)at room temperature,and a quite high sensitivity of 198.0%for detecting 5 ppm NO_(2).Although ZrO_(2)-HS and ZrO_(2)–S sensors exhibited lower response towards 30 ppm NO_(2)(232.9%and 245.1%),the response time and recovery time of these two sensors are 5 s/19 s and 4 s/3 s,respectively.This work can provide a new strategy for the development of roomtemperature metal-oxide-based sensors.Yuhua Yan Zongtao Ma Jingyao Sun Miaomiao Bu Yanming Huo Ziying Wang Yunfei Li Ning Hu 2021Nano Materials Science2021,3,3:1
14Flexible triboelectric nanogenerator toward ultrahigh-frequency vibration sensing显示文摘Flexible high-frequency vibration sensors are highly desirable in various real-world applications such as structural health monitoring,environmental monitoring,and the internet of things.However,developing a facile and effective method to fabricate vibration sensors simultaneously featuring high vibration frequency response-ability and flexibility remains a grand challenge.Herein,we report a flexible ultrahigh-frequency triboelectric vibration sensor(UTVS)prepared by a layer-particle-layer structure.Owing to the flexibility of the materials(i.e.,polyethylene terephthalate membrane)and the ultrahigh-frequency vibration response-ability of internal microparticles,the flexible UTVS exhibits an enhanced working frequency range of 3–170 kHz,which is much broader than previously reported triboelectric vibration sensors.Moreover,the UTVS can work not only in a flat state but also in a bent state due to its flexibility and the unique layer-particle-layer structural design.The UTVS shows nanometer-level vibration response-ability,omnidirectional response,stability in the temperature range of 10–70°C,good frequency resolution of 0.01 kHz,and excellent performance in burst vibration detection(e.g.,pencil lead break events and impact events from falling steel balls).With a collection of compelling features,the device is successfully demonstrated in vibration monitoring of curved structures(e.g.,real-time water pipeline leak monitoring).Such a flexible ultrahigh-frequency triboelectric vibration sensor holds great potential in a wide range of practical applications,such as communication,health care,and infrastructure monitoring.Zhiwei Lin Chenchen Sun Gaoqiang Zhang Endong Fan Zhihao Zhou Ziying Shen Jun Yang Mingyang Liu Yushu Xia Shaobo Si Jin Yang 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:0

16Sedimentary evolution and control factors of the Rizhao Canyons in the Zhongjiannan Basin, western South China Sea显示文摘Submarine canyon is an important channel for long-distance sediment transport, and an important part of deepwater sedimentary system. The large-scale Rizhao Canyons have been discovered for the first time in 2015 in the continental slope area of the western South China Sea. Based on the interpretation and analysis of multi-beam bathymetry and two-dimensional multi-channel seismic data, the geology of the canyons has however not been studied yet. In this paper, the morphology and distribution characteristics of the canyon are carefully described,the sedimentary filling structure and its evolution process of the canyon are analyzed, and then its controlling factors are discussed. The results show that Rizhao Canyons group is a large slope restricted canyon group composed of one east-west west main and nine branch canyons extending to the south. The canyon was formed from the late Miocene to the Quaternary. The east-west main canyon is located in the transition zone between the northern terrace and the southern Zhongjiannan Slope, and it is mainly formed by the scouring and erosion of the material source from the west, approximately along the slope direction. Its development and evolution is mainly controlled by sediment supply and topographic conditions, the development of 9 branch canyons is mainly controlled by gravity flow and collapse from the east-west main canyon. 19Niobium carbide(MXene)reduces UHMWPE particle-induced osteolysis显示文摘Joint replacement surgery is one of the orthopedic surgeries with high successful rates;however,wear debris generated from prostheses can ultimately lead to periprosthetic osteolysis and failure of the implant.The implant-derived particulate debris such as ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)can initiate the local immune response and recruit monocytic cells to phagocytose particles for generating reactive oxygen species(ROS).ROS induces osteoclastogenesis and macrophages to secrete cytokines which ultimately promote the development of osteolysis.In this work,we develop the few-layered Nb_(2)C(FNC)as an antioxidant which possesses the feature of decreasing the production of cytokines and inhibiting osteoclastogenesis by its ROS adsorption.Moreover,local injection of FNC attenuates the UHMWPE-induced osteolysis in a mouse calvarial model.In sum,our results suggest that FNC can be used for treating osteolytic bone disease caused by excessive osteoclastogenesis.Kuo-Yang Sun Yizhang Wu Jia Xu Wenfang Xiong Wei Xu Jiawei Li Ziying Sun Zhongyang Lv XSWu Qing Jiang Hong-Ling Cai Dongquan Shi 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:0
