1Joint land-sea seismic survey and research on the deep structures of the Bohai Sea areas显示文摘This paper presents the survey and research work of two land-sea profiles in the Bohai Sea,China,carried out in 2010–2011,including the seismic sources on land and in the sea,the ocean bottom seismographs(OBS)and their recovery,the coupling of OBS and the environment noise in sea area,the data quality of OBSs,and the result of data analysis.We focused on the investigation of crustal structures revealed by the two NE\EW-trending joint land-sea profiles.In combination with the Pn-velocity distribution and gravitymagnetic inversion results in the North China Craton,we propose that the undulation of the Moho interface in the Bohai and surrounding areas is not strong,and the lithospheric thinning is mainly caused by the thinning of its mantle part.The research result indicates that obvious lateral variations of Moho depth and seismic velocity appear nearby all the large-scale faults in Bohai Sea,and there is evidence of underplating and reforming of the lower crust by mantle material in the Bohai area.However,geophysical evidence does not appear to support the'mantle plume'or'delamination'model for the North China Craton destruction.The crustal structure of the Bohai Sea revealed'a relatively normal crust and obviously thinned mantle lid',local velocity anomalies and instability phenomena in the crust.These features may represent a combined effect of North China-Yangtze collision at an early stage and the remote action of Pacific plate subduction at a late stage.HAO Tianyao YOU Qingyu LIU Lihua LV Chuanchuan XU Ya LI Zhiwei ZHAO Chunlei ZHENG Yanpeng LIU Chenguang HAN Guozhong 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,12:11

5Cordycepin protects renal ischemia/reperfusion injury through regulating inflammation,apoptosis,and oxidative stress显示文摘Cordycepin(3-deoxyadenosine)is a naturally occurring adenosine analog and one of the bioactive constituents isolated from Cordyceps sinensis,species of the fungal genus Cordyceps.It has traditionally been a prized Chinese folk medicine for the human well-being.However,the actions of cordycepin against renal ischemia/reperfusion injury(/R)are still unknown.In the present study,rats were subject to VR and cordycepin was intragastrically administered for seven consecutive days before surgery to investigate the effects and mechanisms of cordycepin against renal/R injury.The test results of kidney and peripheral blood samples of experimental animals showed that cordycepin significantly decreased serum blood urea nitrogen and creatinine levels and markedly attenuated cell injury.Mechanistic studies showed that cordycepin significantly regulated inflammation,apoptosis,and oxidative stress.These data provide new insights for investigating the natural product with the nephroprotective effect against I/R,which should be developed as a new therapeutic agent for the treatment of I/R in the future.Feng Han Meng Dou Yuxiang Wang Cuixiang Xu Yang Li Xiaoming Ding Wujun Xue Jin Zheng Puxun Tian Chenguang Ding 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,2:9
6Assessment of structural stability in Bohai Sea area based on AHP-GDM model显示文摘The AHP-GDM model is used for the assessment of structural stability, with the Bohai Sea area as an example. In this model, the credit degree of each expert is calculated through the assessment matrix based on the similarity and diversity of vector. The comprehensive opinions of expert panel are quantitatively obtained by considering the effect of credit degree. According to the geological structural setting, the Bohai Sea is divided into twelve assessment zones of structural stability by non-uniform element method. The structural stability grade of each zone is obtained on the basis of the latest geophysical data, earthquake statistical data, and the information of fault activities, current stress field and crustal deformation. The results show that there are one relatively stable area, three relatively sub-stable areas, six relatively sub-unstable areas and two relatively unstable areas. The assessment results of non-uniform element method are very close with those of uniform grid method with size of 0.25° in longitude direction and 0.14° in latitude direction. However the workload of non-uniform element method is only 1/16 of the latter. 7Effect of preparation method on the bimetallic NiCu/SAPO-11 catalysts for the hydroisomerization of n-octane显示文摘The bimetallic NiCu/SAPO-11 catalysts were prepared by co-impregnation, sequential impregnation, coprecipitation, and mechanical mixing methods. Powder X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption-desorption,temperature-programmed desorption of ammonia, transmission electron microscopy, temperatureprogrammed reduction of hydrogen, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to characterize the physicochemical properties of the catalysts. The catalytic performance of the catalysts was assessed by the hydroisomerization of n-octane. Results indicated that the conversion of n-octane and selectivity to n-octane isomers were related to the preparation methods of the catalysts. The catalysts with Ni-Cu alloy effectively restrained the hydrogenolysis reaction that decreases the selectivity of isomerization. The catalyst prepared by the mechanical mixing of NiO and CuO hardly formed Ni-Cu alloy, showing obvious hydrogenolysis and low selectivity to n-octane isomers. The unbalance between the metal and acid sites resulted in the low conversion of n-octane and selectivity to n-octane isomers. 8Elevated plasma levels of selective cytokines in COVID-19 patients reflect viral load and lung injury显示文摘A recent outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan,China was found to be caused by a 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV or SARS-CoV-2 or HCoV-19).We previously reported the clinical features of 12 patients with2019-n Co V infections in Shenzhen,China.To further understand the pathogenesis of COVID-19 and find better ways to monitor and treat the disease caused by 2019-n Co V,we measured the levels of 48 cytokines in the blood plasma of those 12 COVID-19 patients.Thirty-eight out of the 48 measured cytokines in the plasma of 2019-n Co V-infected patients were significantly elevated compared to healthy individuals.Seventeen cytokines were linked to 2019-nCoV loads.Fifteen cytokines,namely M-CSF,IL-10,IFN-α2,IL-17,IL-4,IP-10,IL-7,IL-1 ra,G-CSF,IL-12,IFN-γ,IL-1α,IL-2,HGF and PDGF-BB,were strongly associated with the lung-injury Murray score and could be used to predict the disease severity of2019-n Co V infections by calculating the area under the curve of the receiver-operating characteristics.Our results suggest that 2019-nCoV infections trigger extensive changes in a wide array of cytokines,some of which could be potential biomarkers of disease severity of 2019-n Co V infections.These findings will likely improve our understanding of the immunopathologic mechanisms of this emerging disease.Our results also suggest that modulators of cytokine responses may play a therapeutic role in combating the disease once the functions of these elevated cytokines have been characterized.Yingxia Liu Cong Zhang Fengming Huang Yang Yang Fuxiang Wang Jing Yuan Zheng Zhang Yuhao Qin Xiaoyun Li Dandan Zhao Shunwang Li Shuguang Tan Zhaoqin Wang Jinxiu Li Chenguang Shen Jianming Li Ling Peng Weibo Wu Mengli Cao Li Xing Zhixiang Xu Li Chen Congzhao Zhou William J Liu Lei Liu Chengyu Jiang 2020National Science Review2020,7,6:6

11Comparison of Ozone and PM2.5 Concentrations over Urban,Suburban,and Background Sites in China显示文摘Surface ozone(O3)and fine particulate matter(PM2.5)are dominant air pollutants in China.Concentrations of these pollutants can show significant differences between urban and nonurban areas.However,such contrast has never been explored on the country level.This study investigates the spatiotemporal characteristics of urban-to-suburban and urban-tobackground difference for O3(Δ[O3])and PM2.5(Δ[PM2.5])concentrations in China using monitoring data from 1171 urban,110 suburban,and 15 background sites built by the China National Environmental Monitoring Center(CNEMC).On the annual mean basis,the urban-to-suburbanΔ[O3]is−3.7 ppbv in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,1.0 ppbv in the Yangtze River Delta,−3.5 ppbv in the Pearl River Delta,and−3.8 ppbv in the Sichuan Basin.On the contrary,the urban-to-suburbanΔ[PM2.5]is 15.8,−0.3,3.5 and 2.4μg m^−3 in those areas,respectively.The urban-to-suburban contrast is more significant in winter for bothΔ[O3]andΔ[PM2.5].In eastern China,urban-to-background differences are also moderate during summer,with−5.1 to 6.8 ppbv forΔ[O3]and−0.1 to 22.5μg m^−3 forΔ[PM2.5].However,such contrasts are much larger in winter,with−22.2 to 5.5 ppbv forΔ[O3]and 3.1 to 82.3μg m^−3 forΔ[PM2.5].Since the urban region accounts for only 2%of the whole country’s area,the urban-dominant air quality data from the CNEMC network may overestimate winter[PM2.5]but underestimate winter[O3]over the vast domain of China.The study suggests that the CNEMC monitoring data should be used with caution for evaluating chemical models and assessing ecosystem health,which require more data outside urban areas.Lan GAO Xu YUE Xiaoyan MENG Li DU Yadong LEI Chenguang TIAN Liang QIU 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,12:5
12The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 15miR-124/IRE-1α affects renal ischemia/reperfusion injury by regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress in renal tubular epithelial cells显示文摘Acute kidney injury(AKI)refers to a clinical syndrome that occurs as a result of a rapid decline in renal function caused by multiple factors.Renal ischemia/reperfusion(/R)injury is one of the main causes of AKI and has a high incidence and mortality,However,the specific pathogenesis of renal I/R injury is still unclear.In recent years,a major breakthrough has been made in the study of endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS)-mediated apoptosis in I/R injury.It has been reported that miRNAs play protective roles in ischemic/reperfused organs,but the molecular mechanisms have not been investigated deeply.In this study,the renal VR mouse model was used to explore the roles of miR-124 in ERS and in renal I/R injury.The western blot results showed that the expression levels of ERS-related proteins IRE-1α,XBP-1,and glucose-regulated protein 78(GRP78)were significantly increased in the IVR model group when compared with those in the control group.Meanwhile,qPCR results showed that miR-124 expression was decreased in the I/R injury model,and overexpression of miR-124 using miR-124 mimics effectively reduced the expression of ERS-related proteins and alleviated renal LR injury.In addition,luciferase reporter assay was performed,and the results showed that IRE 1αand miR-124 may have direct interaction.In conclusion,our data indicated that miR-124 was a negative regulator of ERS via binding to IRE-1α,ultimately conferring its protective effect on the kidney,which demonstrates the regulatory mechanism of miR-124 in renal I/R injury and provides new ideas and methods for the prevention and treatment of renal I/R injury.Chenguang Ding Meng Dou Yuxiang Wang Yang Li Ying Wang Jin Zheng Xiao Li Wujun Xue Xiaoming Ding Puxun Tian 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,2:4
16Selective hydrogenolysis of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-dimethylfuran over Co_3O_4 catalyst by controlled reduction显示文摘2,5-dimethyfuran(DMF), which is produced from 5-hydroxymethyfurfural(HMF) by hydrodeoxygenation(HDO), is a high quality fuel due to the high heating value, the high octane number and the suitable boiling point. Selective hydrogenation of HMF into liquid fuel DMF has been widely researched. In this paper, Co_3O_4 catalyst was prepared by co-precipitation and was reduced at different temperatures to form Co–CoO_x catalysts. The characterization of catalysts was tested by XRD, TEM, XPS, TPR, BET and NH3-TPD.Co–CoO_x possessed a high amount of Co metal and CoO_x acidic sites, wherein Co worked as the active hydrogenation sites and CoO_x acted as the acid promoter to facilitate the selective HDO of HMF to DMF.The synergistic effect of Co–CoO_x is the key for HDO of HMF, obtaining 83.3% of DMF yield at 170 °C, 12 h and the reduction temperature of 400 °C. 17Co-delivery of doxorubicin and paclitaxel with linear-dendritic block copolymer for enhanced anti-cancer efficacy显示文摘A series of well-defined amphiphilic linear-dendritic block copolymers(telodendrimers, MPEG-b-PAMAM-cholesterol) with 1,2,4 or 8 cholesteryl groups(named as P1, P2, P4, P8, respectively) were synthesized. Their chemical structures were characterized with 1H NMR and mass spectrum(MALDI-TOF MS). The telodendrimers could self-assemble into micelles in aqueous solution, and encapsulate chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin(DOX) and paclitaxel(PTX) for combination therapy. All the telodendrimers could encapsulate DOX with similar capability. However, their drug-loading capability of PTX is increased with the increasing number of cholesteryl groups. P8 exhibited much higher PTX loading efficiency than its counterparts. Thus, P8 was selected for further application of drug delivery in the paper. The drug-loading micellar nanoparticles(NPs) of P8 were spherical in shape and their diameters were less than 150 nm which were determined by dynamic light scattering measurements(DLS) and transmission electron microscope(TEM). In vitro drug release experiment demonstrated that P8 exhibited a controlled release manner for both DOX and PTX, and the two drugs were released simultaneously. In vitro cytotoxicity experiment further demonstrated that the co-delivery of DOX and PTX in P8 exhibited better anti-cancer efficiency than the delivery systems encapsulated with single drug(DOX or PTX). This indicates a synergistic effect. 18Efficient CO_2 capture on low-cost silica gel modified by polyethyleneimine显示文摘In this work,a series of polyethyleneimine(PEI) functionalized commercial silica gel were prepared by wet impregnation method and used as CO 2 sorbent.The as-prepared sorbents were characterized by N 2 adsorption,FT-IR and SEM techniques.CO 2 capture was tested in a fixed bed reactor using a simulated flue gas containing 15.1% CO 2 in a temperature range of 25-100 C.The effects of sorption temperature and amine content on CO 2 uptake of the adsorbents were investigated.The silica gel with a 30 wt% PEI loading manifested the largest CO 2 uptake of 93.4 mg CO 2 /g adsorbent(equal to 311.3 mg CO 2 /g PEI) among the tested sorbents under the conditions of 15.1%(v/v) CO 2 in N 2 at 75 C and atmospheric pressure.Moreover,it was rather low-cost.In addition,the PEI-impregnated silica gel exhibited stable adsorption-desorption behavior during 5 consecutive test cycles.These results suggest that the PEI-impregnated silica gel is a promising and cost-effective sorbent for CO 2 capture from flue gas and other stationary sources with low CO 2 concentration.Ke Wang Hongyan Shang Lin Li Xinlong Yan Zifeng Yan Chenguang Liu Qingfang Zha 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,3:4

20High-Performance Mg_(3)Sb_(2-x)Bi_(x) Thermoelectrics:Progress and Perspective显示文摘Since the first successful implementation of n-type doping,low-cost Mg_(3)Sb_(2-x)Bi_(x) alloys have been rapidly developed as excellent thermoelectric materials in recent years.An average figure of merit zT above unity over the temperature range 300-700 K makes this new system become a promising alternative to the commercially used n-type Bi_(2)Te_(3-x)Se_(x) alloys for either refrigeration or low-grade heat power generation near room temperature.In this review,with the structure-property-application relationship as the mainline,we first discuss how the crystallographic,electronic,and phononic structures lay the foundation of the high thermoelectric performance.Then,optimization strategies,including the physical aspects of band engineering with Sb/Bi alloying and carrier scattering mechanism with grain boundary modification and the chemical aspects of Mg defects and aliovalent doping,are extensively reviewed.Mainstream directions targeting the improvement of zT near room temperature are outlined.Finally,device applications and related engineering issues are discussed.We hope this review could help to promote the understanding and future developments of low-cost Mg_(3)Sb_(2-x)Bi_(x) alloys for practical thermoelectric applications.Airan Li Chenguang Fu Xinbing Zhao Tiejun Zhu 2020Research2020,,1:4
