| 2 | STOCHASTIC CRACKING AND HEALING BEHAVIORS OF THIN FILMS DURING REACTION-DIFFUSION GROWTH显示文摘The stochastic cracking and healing behaviors of reaction-diffusion growth of thin films were studied by means of Markov processes analysis. We chose the thermal growth of oxide scales on metals as an example of reaction-diffusion growth. The thermal growth of oxide films follows power law when no cracking occurs. Our results showed that the growth kinetics under stochastic cracking and healing conditions was different from that without cracking. It might be altered to either pseudo-linear or pseudo-power laws dependent upon the intensity and frequency of the cracking of the films. When the hoping items dominated, the growth followed pseudo-linear law; when the diffusional items dominated, it followed pseudo-power law with the exponentials lower than the intrinsical values. The numerical results were in good agreement with the meassured kinetics of isothermal and cyclic oxidation of NiAl-0.1 Y (at. %) alloys in air at 1273K. | S.L. Zhu, S.L. Yang, Y.M. Xiong, M.S. | 4 | STUDY ON REDUCING THE CORE LOSS OF GRAIN ORIENTED SILICON STEEL AND IMPROVING ITS AGING PROPERTY BY LASER NITRIDING TECHNIQUE IN ATMOSPHERIC AMBIENT显示文摘CW-CO2 laser nitriding technique was applied to improve the properties (such as aging property and the core loss) of grain oriented silicon steel. The samples were nitrided with regular space. Laser power density and scanning speed were chosen as 7.8×105W·cm-2 and 100mm·min-1. By some laser irradiation, Fe4N and Fe3N were formed in the nitrided zone. The nitrided samples were annealed at the temperatures ranged from 100 to 900°C. The core loss of some interested samples was tested. The results show that the core loss of the nitrided samples with different thickness of 0.23 and 0.30mm decreased by 14.9% and 9.4% respectively, and the aging property were improved up to 800°C. Also tensile tests were examined. For increasing annealed temperature, multiple phase transformations, transformations via a B19-phase or direct marten- site/austenite transformtion are observed. The TiNiPd thin film annealed at 750°C had relatively uniform martensite/austenite transformtion and shape memory effect. Martensite/austenite trans- formtion was also found in strain-temperature curves.
