Gas Hydrates in the Qilian Mountain Permafrost, Qinghai, Northwest China显示文摘Qilian Mountain permafrost, with area about 10×104 km2, locates in the north of Qinghai-Tibet plateau. It equips with perfect conditions and has great prospecting potential for gas hydrate. The Scientific Drilling Project of Gas Hydrate in Qilian Mountain permafrost, which locates in Juhugeng of Muri Coalfield, Tianjun County, Qinghai Province, has been implemented by China Geological Survey in 2008–2009. Four scientific drilling wells have been completed with a total footage of 2059.13 m. Samples of gas hydrate are collected separately from holes DK-1, DK-2 and DK-3. Gas hydrate is hosted under permafrost zone in the 133–396 m interval. The sample is white crystal and easily burning. Anomaly low temperature has been identified by the infrared camera. The gas hydrate-bearing cores strongly bubble in the water. Gas-bubble and water-drop are emitted from the hydrate-bearing cores and then characteristic of honeycombed structure is left. The typical spectrum curve of gas hydrate is detected using Raman spectrometry. Furthermore, the logging profile also indicates high electrical resistivity and sonic velocity. Gas hydrate in Qilian Mountain is characterized by a thinner permafrost zone, shallower buried depth, more complex gas component and coal-bed methane origin etc.ZHU Youhai ZHANG Yongqin WEN Huaijun LU Zhenquan JIA Zhiyao LI Yonghong LI Qinghai LIU Changling WANG Pingkang GUO Xingwang 2010Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2010,84,1:19

GW5-Like, a homolog of GW5, negatively regulates grain width, weight and salt resistance in rice显示文摘Grain size is an important determinant of yield potential in crops. We previously demonstrated that natural mutations in the regulatory sequences of qSW5/GW5 confer grain width diversity in rice. However, the biological function of a GW5 homolog, named GW5-Like(GW5 L), remains unknown. In this study, we report on GW5 L knockout mutants in Kitaake, a japonica cultivar(cv.)considered to have a weak gw5 variant allele that confers shorter and wider grains. GW5 L is evenly expressed in various tissues, and its protein product is localized to the plasma membrane. Biochemical assays verified that GW5 L functions in a similar fashion to GW5. It positively regulates brassinosteroid(BR) signaling through repression of the phosphorylation activity of GSK2. Genetic data show that GW5 L overexpression in either Kitaake or a GW5 knockout line, Kasaorf3(indica cv. Kasalath background), causes more slender, longer grains relative to the wild-type. We also show that GW5 L could confer salt stress resistance through an association with calmodulin protein OsCa M1-1. These findings identify GW5 L as a negative regulator of both grain size and salt stress tolerance, and provide a potential target for breeders to improve grain yield and salt stress resistance in rice.Peng Tian Jiafan Liu Changling Mou Cuilan Shi Huan Zhang Zhichao Zhao Qibing Lin Jie Wang Jiulin Wang Xin Zhang Xiuping Guo Zhijun Cheng Shanshan Zhu Yulong Ren Cailin Lei Haiyang Wang Jianmin Wan 2019Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2019,61,11:9
Factors affecting genomic selection revealed by empirical evidence in maize显示文摘Genomic selection(GS) as a promising molecular breeding strategy has been widely implemented and evaluated for plant breeding, because it has remarkable superiority in enhancing genetic gain, reducing breeding time and expenditure, and accelerating the breeding process. In this study the factors affecting prediction accuracy(rMG) in GS were evaluated systematically, using six agronomic traits(plant height, ear height, ear length, ear diameter, grain yield per plant and hundred-kernel weight) evaluated in one natural and two biparental populations. The factors examined included marker density, population size, heritability, statistical model, population relationships and the ratio of population size between the training and testing sets, the last being revealed by resampling individuals in different proportions from a population. Prediction accuracy continuously increased as marker density and population size increased and was positively correlated with heritability; rMGshowed a slight gain when the training set increased to three times as large as the testing set. Low predictive performance between unrelated populations could be attributed to different allele frequencies, and predictive ability and prediction accuracy could be improved by including more related lines in the training population. Among the seven statistical models examined, including ridge regression best linear unbiased prediction(RR-BLUP), genomic BLUP(GBLUP), Bayes A, Bayes B, Bayes C, Bayesian least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(Bayesian LASSO), and reproducing kernel Hilbert space(RKHS), the RKHS and additive-dominance model(Add + Dom model) showed credible ability for capturing non-additive effects, particularly for complex traits with low heritability. Empirical evidence generated in this study for GS-relevant factors will help plant breeders to develop GS-assisted breeding strategies for more efficient development of varieties.Xiaogang Liu Hongwu Wang Hui Wang Zifeng Guo Xiaojie Xu Jiacheng Liu Shanhong Wang Wen-Xue Li Cheng Zou Boddupalli M.Prasanna Michael S.Olsen Changling Huang Yunbi Xu 2018The Crop Journal2018,6,4:8
Subdiffraction optical manipulation of the charge state of nitrogen vacancy center in diamond显示文摘As a potential candidate for quantum computation and metrology, the nitrogen vacancy(NV)center in diamond presents both challenges and opportunities resulting from charge-state conversion.By utilizing different lasers for the photon-induced charge-state conversion,we achieved subdiffraction charge-state manipulation. The charge-state depletion(CSD)microscopy resolution was improved to 4.1 nm by optimizing the laser pulse sequences.Subsequently, the electron spin-state dynamics of adjacent NV centers were selectively detected via the CSD.The experimental results demonstrated that the CSD can improve the spatial resolution of the measurement of NV centers for nanoscale sensing and quantum information.Xiangdong Chen Changling Zou Zhaojun Gong Chunhua Dong Guangcan Guo Fangwen Sun 2015Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1:4
Development and molecular analysis of a novel acetohydroxyacid synthase rapeseed mutant with high resistance to sulfonylurea herbicides显示文摘With the increasing promotion of simplified rapeseed cultivation in recent years, the development of cultivars with high resistance to herbicides is urgently needed. We previously developed M342,which shows sulfonylurea herbicide resistance,by targeting acetohydroxyacid synthase(AHAS),a key enzyme in branched-chain amino acid synthesis. In the present study,we used a progeny line derived from M342 for an additional round of ethyl methane sulfonate mutagenesis, yielding the novel mutant DS3,which harbored two mutations in AHAS genes and showed high sulfonylurea resistance. One mutation was the substitution Trp574 Leu,as in M342,according to Arabidopsis protein sequencing. The other site was a newly recognized substitution,Pro197 Leu.A KASP marker targeting Pro197 Leu was developed and reliably predicted the response to sulfonylurea herbicides in the F2 population. The combination of Trp574 Leu and Pro197 Leu in DS3 produced a synergistic effect that greatly increased herbicide resistance.Analysis of the protein structures of AHAS1 and AHAS3 in wild-type and single-gene mutant plants revealed three-dimensional protein conformational changes that could account for differences in herbicide resistance characteristics including toxicity tolerance,AHAS enzyme activity, and AHAS gene expression.Yue Guo Changle Liu Weihua Long Jianqin Gao Jiefu Zhang Song Chen Huiming Pu Maolong Hu 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,1:3
Interconversion of photon-phonon in a silica optomechanical microresonator显示文摘In an optomechanical resonator, the optical and mechanical excitations can be coherently converted, which induces a transparency window for a weak probe laser beam. Here, we report an experimental study of transient optomechanically induced transparency(OMIT) using the silica microsphere with the breathing modes. The transient OMIT behavior obtained are in good agreement with theoretical calculations. In addition, the coherent interconversion between optical and mechanical excitations that can be used for light storage and readout has also been studied here. Our experimental results indicate that the light storage is closely related to the process of OMIT, and the photon-phonon conversion can be further applied to optical wavelength or optical mode conversion.DONG ChunHua SHEN Zhen ZOU ChangLing GUO GuangCan 2015Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2015,58,5:3
Effect of pulsatile perfusion during cardiopulmonary bypass in terms of radial artery sphygmogram显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate a quantitative method for using radial artery pulse waveforms to assess the effect of pulsatile flow during cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB).METHODS: A total of 34 adults with heart disease who underwent open-heart surgery between April2010 and January 2011 were randomized into a pulsatile perfusion group(n=17) and a non-pulsatile perfusion group(n=17). Radial arterial pulse waveforms of pulsatile and non-pulsatile perfusion patients were observed and compared before and during CPB.RESULTS: No pulse waveform could be detected at patients' radial artery in both groups when the aorta was cross-clamped. Pulse waveforms could be detected at pulsatile perfusion patients' radial artery, but could not be detected at non-pulsatile perfusion patients' radial artery during CPB. Additionally, patients' pulse waveforms during pulsatile perfusion were lower than those before the operation.CONCLUSION: Our findings indicate that radial artery sphygmogram can be used as a valid indicator to evaluate the effectiveness of pulsatile perfusion during CPB.Zhifeng Zhang Jiatuo Xu Enyuan Zhu Qi Zhang Lu Yu Yongbing Qiu Jianguo Tang Zhaofu Fei Xin Li Liping Tu Chouping Han Ying Liu Zhen Guo Changle Zhou Meiyu Shi Yingxin Qian Yimin Bao Xinming Ji 2014Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,6:2
Cluster-Based Content Download and Forwarding Scheme for Highway VANETs显示文摘The recent advances in wireless communication technology enable high-speed vehicles to download data from roadside units(RSUs). However, the data download volume of individual vehicle is rather restricted due to high mobility and limited transmission range of vehicles, bringing users poor performance. To address this issue, we exploit the combination of both clustering and carry-and-forward schemes in this paper. Our scheme coordinates the cooperation of multiple infrastructures, cluster formation in the same direction and data forwarding of reverse vehicles to facilitate the target vehicle to download large-size content in dark areas. The process of data dissemination and achievable data download volume are then derived and analyzed theoretically. Finally, we conduct extensive simulations to verify the performance of the proposed scheme. Results show significant benefits of the proposed scheme in terms of increasing data download volume and throughput.mingsi zhang changle li tao guo yuchuan fu 2018China Communications2018,15,4:2

Optimization of hot air drying process for tiger nut and analysis of fatty acid composition of tiger nut oil显示文摘Hot air temperature, hot air humidity, and hot wind speed were selected as independent variables of quadratic orthogonal rotation combination test design through single factor test.Drying time, energy consumption, chromatism value, luminosity value, hardness, rehydration ratio, and other indexes of the product were used as the response value of the test.Response surface methodology(RSM)was used to analyze the effects of independent variables on the quality of tiger nut(Cyperus esculentus L.),and the process parameters were combined and optimized. The results show that the suitable technological conditions for hot air drying of tiger nut are as follows:hot air temperature of 63.15°C,hot air humidity of 44.92%,hot air wind speed of 2.48 m/s.Under these conditions, the product has the advantages of the short drying cycle, low energy consumption, good color and luster, low hardness and good rehydration performance. The fatty acid composition and content of tiger nut oil were determined by gas chromatography. The fatty acid composition and content of tiger nut oil were compared with those of soybean oil, olive oil, rapeseed oil and sesame oil,the results show that among the saturated fatty acids in tiger nut oil, palm oil had the highest content of 11.172%,which was between soybean oil and olive oil.The main composition of unsaturated fatty acids in tiger nut oil is oleic acid, with a content of 77.605%,which is 3.6 times higher than that of soybean oil,and even higher than that of olive oil.He Li Xiaoxiao Niu Jiajun Chai Changle Guo Yihao Sun Jianhua Li Chunying Li 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,6:1
Effect of spleen-invigorating, Qi-replenishing and blood-arresting formula on zebrafish models with simvastatin-induced hemorrhage caused by spleen failing to control blood, in terms of theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the hemostasis effect of spleen-invigorating, Qi-replenishing and blood-arresting formula, on a zebrafish models with simvastatin-induced hemorrhage, and with symptom pattern caused by spleen failing to control blood, in terms of theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS: In the first experiment, 60 AB strain wild type zebrafishes were randomly assigned into two groups: normal group and model group. The model group was treated with 50 μM simvastatinfor 24 h. The second experiment: The melanin allele mutated Albino strain zebrafishes were divided into normal, model, A group and B group. The observational parameters were as follows: blood flow, velocity of movement, hemorrhage ratio and improvement ratio of hemorrhage.RESULTS: Hemorrhage ratio: in the first experiment, brain hemorrhage ratio was 75%. In the second experiment, heart hemorrhage ratio was 65%.Blood flow: compared with the normal group, there was a significantly decrease in the model group(P < 0.001). Velocity of movement: in the first experimental, compared with the normal group, there was a significantly decrease in the model group(P < 0.001). Improvement ratio of hemorrhage: agents A had little effect in heart hemorrhage of the zebrafish; agents B could reduce heart hemorrhage ratio of the zebrafish, and increase the improvement ratio of hemorrhage.CONCLUSION: The manifestation of zebrafish model with simvastatin-induced hemorrhage is basically similar to that of the clinical symptom pattern caused by spleen's failure to control blood. The Spleen-invigorating, Qi-replenishing and Blood-arresting Formula can reduce the heart hemorrhage ratio of zebrafish induced by simvastatin, and increase the Improvement ratio of hemorrhage.Gao Chong Wang Jun Wang Jia Zhu Xiaoyu Zhu Changle Guo Shengya Wang Chong Fan Qiuyue Zhang Jianuo Xia Bo Chen Xinyi 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,3:1

Primary gastric adenosquamous carcinoma: a case report and literature review显示文摘Primary gastric adenosquamous carcinoma (GASC) is exceedingly rare. It accounts for less than 1% of all gastric cancers. In this report, we describe our pathological findings along with a review of the literature to improve our understanding of the disease and reduce misdiagnosis, as well as to provide evidence for its treatment and prognosis. A 49-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital (Dalian Municipal Central Hospital, Dalian, China) with a complaint of epigastric pain that had persisted for half a month. Physical examination, regular laboratory blood tests, and computed tomography revealed no obvious abnormalities. Gastroscopy revealed ulcers in the lower part of the stomach, and pathological assessment revealed adenocarcinoma. Radical gastrectomy was performed, and the folinic acid, fluorouracil, oxaliplatin (FOLFOX) chemotherapy regimen was administered postoperatively. Pathological assessment of the mass revealed a protruding tumor measuring 1.5 × 1.5 × 0.7 cm in the lower part of the stomach. The tumor infiltrated through the full wall of the stomach. This was confirmed by immunohistochemical (IHC) staining for cytokeratin (CK)(+), villin (-), p63 (++), and high-molecular-weight CK (+++). The patient remains alive with no recurrence more than seven years after surgery. Primary GASC is a rare malignant neoplasm. The diagnostic criteria for GASC mainly depend on the clinical, radiographic, and histopathological findings. Pathological assessment and IHC staining can be utilized to confirm the diagnosis. Radical gastrectomy plus postoperative chemotherapy containing the FOLFOX regimen is effective for treating GASC and might contribute to long-term survival.Kan Jiang Xiaoyu Wu Baiying Liu Wenbin Li Taotao Zhang Xiangwen Zhang Changle Ren Guo Zu 2019Oncology and Translational Medicine2019,5,4:1

A biological fluid fiber Sagnac sensor based on SPF-PCF-SPF structure显示文摘A biological solution concentration sensor based on a side-polished fiber(SPF)assisted fluid system is presented. The birefringence properties of the asymmetrically filled fluid in this structure and the relationship between the concentration of the biological solution and the refractive index are theoretically analyzed. It was found that the interference peaks had red-shifted with increasing concentration.A sensing sensitivity of 1.3871×10^(4)nm·mL/mol at 14.68×10^(-4)mol/mL was achieved within the experimental range after different concentrations of arginine solutions were injected into the sensing system. This sensing system can also be applied to measure the concentration of other biological solutions, providing the feasibility of real-time detection of biological solutions.GUO Junqi WANG Changle DI Ke LI Zhehao LI Renpu LIU Yu 2023Optoelectronics Letters2023,19,4:0
Dynamic spreading characteristics of droplet impinging soybean leaves显示文摘The study on the deposition efficiency of pesticide droplets on soybean leaves can provide the basis for reducing pesticide quantity and increasing pesticide efficiency during the application of soybean plant protection machinery. The movement behavior of droplet impinges on the plant leaf surface is affected by many factors, among which the most important and the easiest to adjust are spray droplet size and impingement velocity.By changing the droplet size and impact velocity and using Fluent simulation software, the pesticide droplet hitting the soybean leaf surface was simulated and a test platform was established to verify the simulation results. The conclusions are as follows:The longitudinal roughness of soybean leaves is higher than the transverse roughness, the longitudinal pressure of soybean leaves is higher than the transverse pressure during the impact process, and the velocity of droplet spreading along the longitudinal is lower than that of spreading along the transverse;although soybean leaf surface has high adhesion, droplet losses still exist when droplet impact velocity is relatively high. The maximum spreading diameter of the droplet increases first and then decreases with the increase of impact velocity. At the same time, the maximum spreading diameter of droplet increases with the increase of particle size. The droplet deposition was best at 1.34 m/s impact velocity and 985μm particle size. This conclusion can provide optimal operation parameters for soybean plant protection operation which can be used to guide soybean plant protection operation, improve control effect, reduce quantity and increase efficiency. He Li Xiaoxiao Niu Li Ding Ali Shahid Tahir Changle Guo Jiajun Chai Kaifei Zhang Shangshang Cheng Yiqiu Zhao Yahui Zhang Yigao Xu Zengqiang Shang 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,3:0
