Advanced Data Collection and Analysis in Data‑Driven Manufacturing Process显示文摘The rapidly increasing demand and complexity of manufacturing process potentiates the usage of manufacturing data with the highest priority to achieve precise analyze and control, rather than using simplified physical models and human expertise. In the era of data-driven manufacturing, the explosion of data amount revolutionized how data is collected and analyzed. This paper overviews the advance of technologies developed for in-process manufacturing data collection and analysis. It can be concluded that groundbreaking sensoring technology to facilitate direct measurement is one important leading trend for advanced data collection, due to the complexity and uncertainty during indirect measurement. On the other hand, physical model-based data analysis contains inevitable simplifications and sometimes ill-posed solutions due to the limited capacity of describing complex manufacturing process.Machine learning, especially deep learning approach has great potential for making better decisions to automate the process when fed with abundant data, while trending data-driven manufacturing approaches succeeded by using limited data to achieve similar or even better decisions. And these trends can demonstrated be by analyzing some typical applications of manufacturing process.Ke Xu Yingguang Li Changqing Liu Xu Liu Xiaozhong Hao James Gao Paul G.Maropoulos 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,3:9

HBV Integration Induces Complex Interactions between Host and Viral Genomic Functions at the Insertion Site显示文摘Hepatitis B virus(HBV),one of the well-known DNA oncogenic viruses,is the leading cause of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).In infected hepatocytes,HBV DNA can be integrated into the host genome through an insertional mutagenesis process inducing tumorigenesis.Dissection of the genomic features surrounding integration sites will deepen our understanding of mechanisms underlying integration. Moreover, the quantity and biological activity of integration sites may reflect the DNA damage within affected cells or the potential survival benefits they may confer. The wellknown human genomic features include repeat elements, particular regions(such as telomeres),and frequently interrupted genes(e.g.,telomerase reverse transcriptase[i.e.TERT],lysine methyltransferase 2B[i.e.KMT2B],cyclin E1[CCNE1],and cyclin A2[CCNA2]).Consequently,distinct genomic features within diverse integrations differentiate their biological functions.Meanwhile, accumulating evidence has shown that viral proteins produced by integrants may cause cell damage even after the suppression of HBV replication. The integration-derived gene products can also serve as tumor markers, promoting the development of novel therapeutic strategies for HCC.Viral integrants can be single copy or multiple copies of different fragments with complicated rearrangement, which warrants elucidation of the whole viral integrant arrangement in future studies. All of these considerations underlie an urgent need to develop novel methodology and technology for sequence characterization and function evaluation of integration events in chronic hepatitis B-associated disease progression by monitoring both host genomic features and viral integrants. This endeavor may also serve as a promising solution for evaluating the risk of tumorigenesis and as a companion diagnostic for designing therapeutic strategies targeting integration-related disease complications.Dake Zhang Ke Zhang Urlike Protzer Changqing Zeng 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,3:4
Spatial-temporal variations in net primary productivity in the Arctic from 2003 to 2016显示文摘The area of Arctic sea ice has dramatically decreased, and the length of the open water season has increased;these patterns have been observed by satellite remote sensing since the 1970 s. In this paper, we calculate the net primary productivity(NPP, calculated by carbon) from 2003 to 2016 based on sea ice concentration products, chlorophyll a(Chl a) concentration, photosynthetically active radiation(PAR), sea surface temperature(SST), and sunshine duration data. We then analyse the spatiotemporal changes in the Chl a concentration and NPP and further investigate the relations among NPP, the open water area, and the length of the open water season. The results indicate that(1) the Chl a concentration increased by 0.025 mg/m^3 per year;(2) the NPP increased by 4.29 mg/(m^2·d) per year, reaching a maximum of 525.74 mg/(m^2·d) in 2016;and(3) the Arctic open water area increased by 57.23×10^3 km^2/a, with a growth rate of 1.53 d/a for the length of the open water season. The annual NPP was significantly positively related to the open water area, the length of the open water season and the SST.The daily NPP was also found to have a lag correlation with the open water area, with a lag time of two months. With global warming, NPP has maintained an increasing trend, with the most significant increase occurring in the Kara Sea. In summary, this study provides a macroscopic understanding of the distribution of phytoplankton in the Arctic, which is valuable information for the evaluation and management of marine ecological environments.Haili Li Changqing Ke Qinghui Zhu Su Shu 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,8:4
Aerial observations of sea ice and melt ponds near the North Pole during CHINARE2010显示文摘An aerial photography has been used to provide validation data on sea ice near the North Pole where most polar orbiting satellites cannot cover. This kind of data can also be used as a supplement for missing data and for reducing the uncertainty of data interpolation. The aerial photos are analyzed near the North Pole collected during the Chinese national arctic research expedition in the summer of 2010(CHINARE2010). The result shows that the average fraction of open water increases from the ice camp at approximately 87°N to the North Pole, resulting in the decrease in the sea ice. The average sea ice concentration is only 62.0% for the two flights(16 and 19 August 2010). The average albedo(0.42) estimated from the area ratios among snow-covered ice, melt pond and water is slightly lower than the 0.49 of HOTRAX 2005. The data on 19 August 2010 shows that the albedo decreases from the ice camp at approximately 87°N to the North Pole, primarily due to the decrease in the fraction of snow-covered ice and the increase in fractions of melt-pond and open-water. The ice concentration from the aerial photos and AMSR-E(The Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer-Earth Observing System) images at 87.0°–87.5°N exhibits similar spatial patterns, although the AMSR-E concentration is approximately 18.0%(on average) higher than aerial photos. This can be attributed to the 6.25 km resolution of AMSR-E, which cannot separate melt ponds/submerged ice from ice and cannot detect the small leads between floes. Thus, the aerial photos would play an important role in providing high-resolution independent estimates of the ice concentration and the fraction of melt pond cover to validate and/or supplement space-borne remote sensing products near the North Pole.LI Lanyu KE Changqing XIE Hongjie LEI Ruibo TAO Anqi 2017Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,1:3
Winter sea ice albedo variations in the Bohai Sea of China显示文摘Sea ice conditions in the Bohai Sea of China are sensitive to large-scale climatic variations. On the basis of CLARA-A1-SAL data, the albedo variations are examined in space and time in the winter(December, January and February) from 1992 to 2008 in the Bohai Sea sea ice region. Time series data of the sea ice concentration(SIC), the sea ice extent(SIE) and the sea surface temperature(SST) are used to analyze their relationship with the albedo. The sea ice albedo changed in volatility appears along with time, the trend is not obvious and increases very slightly during the study period at a rate of 0.388% per decade over the Bohai Sea sea ice region. The interannual variation is between 9.93% and 14.50%, and the average albedo is 11.79%. The sea ice albedo in years with heavy sea ice coverage, 1999, 2000 and 2005, is significantly higher than that in other years; in years with light sea ice coverage, 1994, 1998, 2001 and 2006, has low values. For the monthly albedo, the increasing trend(at a rate of 0.988% per decade) in December is distinctly higher than that in January and February. The mean albedo in January(12.90%) is also distinctly higher than that in the other two months. The albedo is significantly positively correlated with the SIC and is significantly negatively correlated with the SST(significance level 90%).ZHENG Jiajia KE Changqing SHAO Zhude 2017Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,1:2

An Old Story Retold: Loss of G1 Control Defines A Distinct Genomic Subtype of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma显示文摘Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) has a high mortality rate. To determine the molecular basis of ESCC development, this study sought to identify characteristic genome-wide alterations in ESCC, including exonic mutations and structural alterations. The clinical implications of these genetic alterations were also analyzed. Exome sequencing and verification were performed for nine pairs of ESCC and the matched blood samples, followed by validation with additional samples using Sanger sequencing. Whole-genome SNP arrays were employed to detect copy number alteration(CNA) and loss of heterozygosity(LOH) in 55 cases, including the nine ESCC samples subjected to exome sequencing. A total of 108 non-synonymous somatic mutations(NSSMs) in102 genes were verified in nine patients. The chromatin modification process was found to be enriched in our gene ontology(GO) analysis. Tumor genomes with TP53 mutations were significantly more unstable than those without TP53 mutations. In terms of the landscape of genomic alterations, deletion of 9p21.3 covering CDKN2A/2B(30.9%), amplification of 11q13.3 covering CCND1(30.9%), and TP53 point mutation(50.9%) occurred in two-thirds of the cases. These results suggest that the deregulation of the G1 phase during the cell cycle is a key event in ESCC.Furthermore, six minimal common regions were found to be significantly altered in ESCC samples and three of them, 9p21.3, 7p11.2, and 3p12.1, were associated with lymph node metastasis. With the high correlation of TP53 mutation and genomic instability in ESCC, the amplification of CCND1, the deletion of CDKN2A/2B, and the somatic mutation of TP53 appear to play pivotal roles via G1 deregulation and therefore helps to classify this cancer into different genomic subtypes. These findings provide clinical significance that could be useful in future molecular diagnoses and therapeutic targeting.Qiyan Wang Jian Bai Amir Abliz Ying Liu Kenan Gong Jingjing Li Wenjie Shi Yaqi Pan Fangfang Liu Shujuan Lai Haijun Yang Changdong Lu Lixin Zhang Wei Chen Ruiping Xu Hong Cai Yang Ke Changqing Zeng 2015Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2015,13,4:1

Arctic sea ice volume export through the Fram Strait: variation and its effect factors显示文摘Arctic sea ice export is important for the redistribution of freshwater and sea ice mass. Here,we use the sea ice thickness, sea ice velocity, and sea ice concentration(SIC)to estimate the exported sea ice volume through the Fram Strait from 2011 to 2018.We further analyse the contributions of the sea ice thickness, velocity and concentration to sea ice volume export. Then, the relationships between atmospheric circulation indices(Arctic Oscillation(AO),North Atlantic Oscillation(NAO),and Arctic Dipole(AD))and the sea ice volume export are discussed. Finally,we analyse the impact of wind-driven oceanic circulation indices(Ekman transport(ET))on the sea ice volume export. The sea ice volume export rapidly increases in winter and decreases in spring. The exported sea ice volume in winter is likely to exceed that in spring in the future.Among sea ice thickness, velocity and SIC,the greatest contribution to sea ice export comes from the ice velocity. The exported sea ice volume through the zonal gate of the Fram Strait(which contributes 97%to the total sea ice volume export of the Fram Strait)is much higher than that through the meridional gate(3%)because the sea ice flowing out of the zonal gate has the characteristics of a high thickness(mainly thicker than 1 m),a high velocity(mainly faster than 0.06 m/s)and a high concentration(mainly higher than 80%).The AD and ET explain 53.86%and 38.37%of the variation in sea ice volume export, respectively.Haili Li Changqing Ke Qinghui Zhu Xiaoyi Shen 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,5:0
Superconductivity above 70 K observed in lutetium polyhydrides显示文摘The binary polyhydrides of heavy rare earth lutetium that shares a similar valence electron configuration to lanthanum have been experimentally discovered to be superconductive. The lutetium polyhydrides were successfully synthesized at high pressure and high temperature conditions using a diamond anvil cell in combinations with the in-situ high pressure laser heating technique. The resistance measurements as a function of temperature were performed at the same pressure of synthesis in order to study the transitions of superconductivity(SC).The superconducting transition with a maximum onset temperature(Tc)71 K was observed at pressure of 218 GPa in the experiments. The Tcdecreased to 65 K when pressure was at 181 GPa.From the evolution of SC at applied magnetic fields, the upper critical field at zero temperatureμ0Hc2(0)was obtained to be~36 T.The in-situ high pressure X-ray diffraction experiments imply that the high TcSC should arise from the Lu4H23phase with Pm3n symmetry that forms a new type of hydrogen cage framework different from those reported for previous light rare earth polyhydride superconductors.Zhiwen Li Xin He Changling Zhang Ke Lu Baosen Min Jun Zhang Sijia Zhang Jianfa Zhao Luchuan Shi Yi Peng Shaomin Feng Zheng Deng Jing Song Qingqing Liu Xiancheng Wang Richeng Yu Luhong Wang Yingzhe Li Jay D.Bass Vitali Prakapenka Stella Chariton Haozhe Liu Changqing Jin 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,6:0
Common Postzygotic Mutational Signatures in Healthy Adult Tissues Related to Embryonic Hypoxia显示文摘Postzygotic mutations are acquired in normal tissues throughout an individual’s lifetime and hold clues for identifying mutagenic factors. Here,we investigated postzygotic mutation spectra of healthy individuals using optimized ultra-deep exome sequencing of the time-series samples from the same volunteer as well as the samples from different individuals. In blood, sperm, and muscle cells,we resolved three common types of mutational signatures.Signatures A and B represent clocklike mutational processes, and the polymorphisms of epigenetic regulation genes influence the proportion of signature B in mutation profiles.Notably, signature C,characterized by C>T transitions at GpCpN sites, tends to be a feature of diverse normal tissues.Mutations of this type are likely to occur early during embryonic development, supported by their relatively high allelic frequencies, presence in multiple tissues, and decrease in occurrence with age.Almost none of the public datasets for tumors feature this signature, except for 19.6%of samples of clear cell renal cell carcinoma with increased activation of the hypoxia-inducible factor 1(HIF-1)signaling pathway. Moreover, the accumulation of signature C in the mutation profile was accelerated in a human embryonic stem cell line with drug-induced activation of HIF-1α.Thus,embryonic hypoxia may explain this novel signature across multiple normal tissues. Our study suggests that hypoxic condition in an early stage of embryonic development is a crucial factor inducing C>T transitions at GpCpN sites;and individuals’genetic background may also influence their postzygotic mutation profiles.Yaqiang Hong Dake Zhang Xiangtian Zhou Aili Chen Amir Abliz Jian Bai Liang Wang Qingtao Hu Kenan Gong Xiaonan Guan Mengfei Liu Xinchang Zheng Shujuan Lai Hongzhu Qu Fuxin Zhao Shuang Hao Zhen Wu Hong Cai Shaoyan Hu Yue Ma Junting Zhang Yang Ke Qian-Fei Wang Wei Chen Changqing Zeng 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,1:0
Assessment and adjustment of sea surface salinity products from Aquarius in the southeast Indian Ocean based on in situ measurement and My Ocean modeled data显示文摘The in situ sea surface salinity(SSS) measurements from a scientific cruise to the western zone of the southeast Indian Ocean covering 30°–60°S, 80°–120°E are used to assess the SSS retrieved from Aquarius(Aquarius SSS).Wind speed and sea surface temperature(SST) affect the SSS estimates based on passive microwave radiation within the mid- to low-latitude southeast Indian Ocean. The relationships among the in situ, Aquarius SSS and wind-SST corrections are used to adjust the Aquarius SSS. The adjusted Aquarius SSS are compared with the SSS data from My Ocean model. Results show that:(1) Before adjustment: compared with My Ocean SSS, the Aquarius SSS in most of the sea areas is higher; but lower in the low-temperature sea areas located at the south of 55°S and west of 98°E. The Aquarius SSS is generally higher by 0.42 on average for the southeast Indian Ocean.(2) After adjustment: the adjustment greatly counteracts the impact of high wind speeds and improves the overall accuracy of the retrieved salinity(the mean absolute error of the Zonal mean is improved by 0.06, and the mean error is-0.05 compared with My Ocean SSS). Near the latitude 42°S, the adjusted SSS is well consistent with the My Ocean and the difference is approximately 0.004.XIA Shenzhen KE Changqing ZHOU Xiaobing ZHANG Jie 2016Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,3:0
