| 2 | Diagnostic value of elevated serum carbohydrate antigen 199 level in acute cholangitis secondary to choledocholithiasis显示文摘AIM To investigate the diagnostic value of abnormal serum carbohydrate antigen 199(CA199) level in acute cholangitis secondary to choledocholithiasis.METHODS In this retrospective cohort study, the clinical data of 727 patients with choledocholithiasis admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical College from June 2011 to June 2017 were collected. Among these patients, 258 patients had secondary acute cholangitis and served as observation group, and the remaining 569 choledocholithiasis patients served as the control group. Serum liver function indexes and tumor markers were detected in both groups, and the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves were constructed for markers showing statistical significances. The cutoff value, sensitivity, and specificity of each marker were calculated according to the ROC curves. RESULTS The results of liver function tests showed no significant differences between the two groups(P > 0.05). Tumor markers including serum CA125, CA153, carcinoembryonic antigen, and alpha fetoprotein levels were also not significantly different(P > 0.05); however, the serum CA199 level was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group(P < 0.05). The ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve was 0.885(95%CI: 0.841-0.929) for CA199, and the cutoff value of 52.5 kU/L had the highest diagnostic accuracy, with a sensitivity of 86.8% and a specificity of 81.6%.CONCLUSION Abnormally elevated serum CA199 level has an important value in the diagnosis of acute cholangitis secondary to choledocholithiasis. | 5 | Extrinsic calibration of a laser displacement sensor in a non-contact coordinate measuring machine显示文摘In order to implement 3D scanning of those complicated parts such as blades in the aviation field,a non-contact optical measuring system is established in the paper,which integrates a laser displacement sensor,a probe head,the frame of a coordinate measuring machine(CMM),etc.As the output of the laser sensor directly obtained possesses the 1D length of the laser beam,it needs to determine the unit direction vector of the laser beam denoted as(l,m,n)by calibration so as to convert the 1D values into 3D coordinates of target points.Therefore,an extrinsic calibration method based on a standard sphere is proposed to accomplish this task in the paper.During the calibration procedure,the laser sensor moves along with the motion of the CMM and gathers the required data on the spherical surface.Then,both the output of the laser sensor and the grating readings of the CMM are substituted into the constraint equation of the spherical surface,in which an over-determined nonlinear equation group containing unknown parameters is established.For the purpose of solving the equation group,a method based on non-linear least squares optimization is put forward.Finally,the system after calibration is utilized to measure the diameter of a metallic sphere 10 times from different orientations to verify the calibration accuracy.In the experiment,the errors between the measured results and the true values are all smaller than 0.03 mm,which manifests the validity and practicality of the extrinsic calibration method presented in the paper. | Chao BI Jianguo FANG Kun LI Zhijun GUO | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,4: | 8 |
| 6 | Combination of serum gamma-glutamyltransferase and alkaline phosphatase in predicting the diagnosis of asymptomatic choledocholithiasis secondary to cholecystolithiasis显示文摘BACKGROUND Gamma-glutamyltransferase(GGT) is one of the most important laboratory tests for the evaluation of liver damage. Through a long-term clinical observation of patients with secondary asymptomatic choledocholithiasis, we found that most patients had abnormal GGT serum levels.AIM To investigate the combination of serum GGT and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) in predicting the diagnosis of asymptomatic choledocholithiasis secondary to cholecystolithiasis.METHODS In this retrospective cohort study, the clinical data of 829 patients with cholecystolithiasis admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical College from August 2014 to August 2017 were collected. Among these patients,151 patients had secondary asymptomatic choledocholithiasis and served as the observation group, and the remaining 678 cholecystolithiasis patients served as the control group. Serum liver function indexes were detected in both groups,and the receiver operating characteristic(commonly known as ROC) curves were constructed for markers showing statistical significances. The cutoff value,sensitivity, and specificity of each marker were calculated according to the ROC curves.RESULTS The overall incidence of asymptomatic choledocholithiasis secondary to cholecystolithiasis was 18.2%. The results of liver function indexes including serum aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, direct bilirubin and total bilirubin levels showed no significant differences between the two groups(P> 0.05). However, the serum GGT and ALP levels were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group(P < 0.05). The ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve was 0.881(95%CI: 0.830-0.932), 0.647(95%CI: 0.583-0.711) and 0.923(0.892-0.953) for GGT, ALP, and GGT + ALP,respectively. The corresponding cut-off values of GGT and ALP were 95.5 U/L and 151.5 U/L, sensitivity were 90.8% and 65.1%, and specificity were 83.6% and59.8%, respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of GGT + ALP were 93.5% and85.1%, respectively.CONCLUSION An abnormally elevated serum GGT level has an important value in the diagnosis of asymptomatic choledocholithiasis secondary to cholecystolithiasis.The combination of serum GGT and ALP has better diagnostic performance. Second, high-frequency keywords are selected to generate weak tie co-occurrence networks. By removing the internal lines of clustered sub-topic networks, we focus on the analysis of weak tie subnets' composition and functions and the weak tie nodes' roles.Findings: The research topics' clusters and themes changed yearly; the subnets clustered with technique-related and methodology-related topics have been the core, important subnets for years; while close subnets are highly independent, research topics are generally concentrated and most topics are application-related; the roles and functions of nodes and weak ties are diversified.Research limitations: The parameter values are somewhat inconsistent; the weak tie subnets and nodes are classified based on empirical observations, and the conclusions are not verified or compared to other methods.Practical implications: The research is valuable for detecting important research topics as well as their roles, interrelations, and evolution trends. | 12 | Leaching process and kinetics of manganese in low-grade manganese ore显示文摘Manganese was extracted from leaching low-grade manganese ore in sulfuric acid medium. The effects of granule diameter, leaching time, liquid/solid ratio (V/W) and the concentration of sulfuric acid were investigated through orthogonal and single factor experiments. The experimental results showed that the optimal leaching conditions are, size of 0.054mm, 120 minutes of reaction time, 3(V/W) of liquid/solid ratio and 30% of the concentration of sulfuric acid (g/g). Under those conditions, the leaching efficiency is 96.73%. | 13 | Sedimentary filling and sequence structure dominated by T-R cycles of the Nenjiang Formation in the Songliao Basin显示文摘The Nenjiang Formation in the Songliao Basin is a symmetrical sequence of progradation-retrogradation,and is formed in the transgression cycle and regression cycle(T-R cycles)of the base level of deposition.We analyzed the drilling,well logging,core data,and seismic profiles of basin level,and by using the sequence stratigraphy,identified one secondary sequence boundary,two third-order sequence boundaries,and eight fourth-order sequence boundaries in the Nenjiang Formation.These eleven sequence boundaries can be divided into structural unconformity,depositional unconformity,flooding surface,and forced regression surface.Therefore the Nenjiang Formation can be subdivided into one secondary sequence,three third-order sequences,and ten fourth-order sequences.We have restored the sedimentary filling evolution within the stratigraphic framework of fourth-order sequences in the Nenjiang Formation.The sedimentary period of the first member of the Nenjiang Formation was corresponded to the global transgression period,which is also the development period of transgression cycle(T cycle),when the lake basin had the largest scope and deepest sedimentary water,the SB07(the maximum flooding surface)was formed on the top of strata during this period;covering above the SB07,there developed a set of condensation layer-oil shale,which is distributed in the whole basin and is the important source bed and regional cover.Therefore,a retrogradation sequence was formed in the T cycle of the first member of the Nenjiang Formation,characterized by the retrograding delta at a low angle.The delta has a giant front,a small plain,and many underwater distributary channels.Meanwhile,large gravity flow channels and sublacustrine fans are developed in the front of the delta.During the depositional period of the second member of the Nenjiang Formation,the R cycle began to develop due to the compression of the pacific tectonic domain;the source direction rotated 90°along with the eastern uplifting of the basin,and formed a series of east-west prograded and forced retrogradations.The prograding delta at high angel was developed in the interior of the sequence;the delta had a small front,a giant plain,and fewer underwater distributary channels,with the collapse at the foreslope,forming a series of slump fans.The slump fans can be divided into three types:discrete type,superimposed type,and fluid type.We built a whole'triad model'of the slump fan.Pointed out that the sequence of forced retrogradation formed by R cycle is a good structural mark of basin optimization,and rejected the viewpoint of'transgression'in the Nenjiang Formation of the Songliao Basin. | ZHANG ChenChen ZHANG Shun WEI Wei WU ChaoDong LIANG JiangPing NIU Wen DU JinXia FU XiuLi CUI KunNing WANG Chao WANG Hui | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,2: | 5 |
| 14 | A Study of Methods to Identify Industry-University-Research Institution Cooperation Partners based on Innovation Chain Theory显示文摘Purpose: This study aims at identifying potential industry-university-research collaboration(IURC) partners effectively and analyzes the conditions and dynamics in the IURC process based on innovation chain theory.Design/methodology/approach: The method utilizes multisource data, combining bibliometric and econometrics analyses to capture the core network of the existing collaboration networks and institution competitiveness in the innovation chain. Furthermore, a new identification method is constructed that takes into account the law of scientific research cooperation and economic factors.Findings: Empirical analysis of the genetic engineering vaccine field shows that through the distribution characteristics of creative technologies from different institutions, the analysis based on the innovation chain can identify the more complementary capacities among organizations.Research limitations: In this study, the overall approach is shaped by the theoretical concept of an innovation chain, a linear innovation model with specific types or stages of innovation activities in each phase of the chain, and may, thus, overlook important feedback mechanisms in the innovation process.Practical implications: Industry-university-research institution collaborations are extremely important in promoting the dissemination of innovative knowledge, enhancing the quality of innovation products, and facilitating the transformation of scientific achievements.Originality/value: Compared to previous studies, this study emulates the real conditions of IURC. | 15 | CMOS-compatible high-index doped silica waveguide with an embedded silicon-nanocrystal strip for all-optical analog-to-digital conversion显示文摘Passive all-optical signal processors that overcome the electronic bottleneck can potentially be the enabling components for the next-generation high-speed and lower power consumption systems. Here, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a CMOS-compatible waveguide and its application to the all-optical analog-to-digital converter(ADC) under the nonlinear spectral splitting and filtering scheme. As the key component of the proposed ADC, a 50 cm long high-index doped silica glass spiral waveguide is composed of a thin silicon-nanocrystal(Si-nc) layer embedded in the core center for enhanced nonlinearity. The device simultaneously possesses low loss(0.16 dB/cm at 1550 nm), large nonlinearity(305 W^-1∕km at 1550 nm), and negligible nonlinear absorption.A 2-bit ADC basic unit is achieved when pumped by the proposed waveguide structure at the telecom band and without any additional amplification. Simulation results that are consistent with the experimental ones are also demonstrated, which further confirm the feasibility of the proposed scheme for larger quantization resolution.This demonstrated approach enables a fully monolithic solution for all-optical ADC in the future, which can digitize broadband optical signals directly at low power consumption. | 16 | Anatomical variation of infra-pyloric artery origination: A prospective multicenter observational study (IPA-Origin)显示文摘Objective: Infra-pyloric artery(IPA) is an important anatomical landmark in treatment of gastric cancer and is the key vessel for pylorus-preserving gastrectomy and subgroup of infra-pyloric lymph nodes. However, its anatomical variation is not thoroughly understood. Our study aimed to clarify the origination of the IPA.Methods: We did this prospective, multicenter, open-label, observational study at gastric surgery departments of34 hospitals in China. Gastric cancer patients aged 18 years or older and scheduled to undergo elective total or distal gastrectomy were assigned. During the surgery, IPA dissecting and exposing the origination point with photographs or video clips were required. The primary outcome was the origination of the IPA. Analysis of variance, χ~2 tests and Fisher's tests were used to analyze the differences between groups. The study is registered at Clinicaltrials.gov(No. NCT03071237).Results: Between May 8 and July 31, 2017, 429 patients were assigned for the study, and 419(97.7%) patients had the IPA dissected and recorded through photograph or video and were included in the primary outcome analysis. The median age was 62 years old, and 73.7% were male. Among the patients, 78.5% received laparoscopic surgery. Single IPA origination was identified in 398(95.0%) patients, including gastroduodenal artery(GDA) in154(36.8%) patients, anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery(ASPDA) in 130(31.0%) patients, and right gastroepiploic artery(RGEA) in 114(27.2%) patients. Fifteen(3.6%) patients were identified with multiple IPA and 6(1.4%) patients were identified as IPA absence. The differences in the distribution of surgical approach(P=0.003) and geographic area(P=0.030) were statistically significant. | 17 | Cable-like carbon nanotubes decorated metal-organic framework derived ultrathin CoSe2/CNTs nanosheets for electrocatalytic overall water splitting显示文摘The high cost and low reserves of noble metals greatly hinder their practical applications in new energy production and conversion.The exploration of cost-effective alternative electrocatalysts with the ability to drive hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is extremely significant to promote overall water splitting.Herein,ultrathin CoSe2/CNTs nanocomposites have been synthesized by a facile two-step method,where the ultrathin Co-MOF(metal organic-framework)decorated with cable-like carbon nanotubes(CNTs)(Co-MOF/CNTs)was initially fabricated,and followed a lowtemperature selenization process.The ultrathin CoSe2 nanosheets as well as the superior conductivity of CNTs synergistically resulted in abundant active sites and enhanced conductivity to boost the electrocatalytic activity.The as-prepared CoSe2/CNTs electrocatalysts exhibited an overpotential of190 mV and 300 mV vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)at a current density of 10 mA/cm^(2) for the HER and OER in alkaline solution,respectively,and demonstrated superior durability.Furthermore,the as-prepared bifunctional CoSe2/CNTs electrocatalysts can act as cathode and anode in an electrolyzer,showing a cell voltage of 1.75 V at 10 mA/cm^(2) for overall water splitting. | Guijuan Wei Kun Du Xixia Zhao Jiayang Wang Wenxiu Yan Chao An Changhua An | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10: | 5 |
| 18 | Olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation in 106 patients with old spinal cord injury Differences in ages,sexes,disease courses,injured types and sites显示文摘BACKGROUND: It has been demonstrated that the transplantation of olfactory ensheathing cell (OEC) can promote the recovery of neurological function through ameliorating the local internal environment in spinal cord injury. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the recent efficacy of OEC transplantation on old spinal cord injury. DESIGN: A self-controlled experiment. SETTING: Department of Neurosurgery,Taian Rongjun Hospital of Shandong Province. PARTICIPANTS: Totally 106 inpatients with old spinal cord injury were selected from the Department of Neurosurgery,Taian Rongjun Hospital of Shandong Province from June 2004 to December 2006,including 97 males and 9 females. Inclusive criteria: ① Complete data; ② Informed with the fact; ③ No further recover neurological function after drug therapy (neurotrophic factor,GM-1),traditional Chinese medicine,physiotherapy and rehabilitative exercises; ④ No obvious compression of the injured spinal cord displayed by MRI examination. METHODS: ① The olfactory bulb was obtained from embryo of induced labor in middle pregnancy above 4 months supplied voluntarily by pregnant women,and the survived cells after purification and culture for 1-2 weeks were collected. Dura mater was incised by posterior approach,then the cultured OEC suspension was transplanted to corresponding regions by means of multi-target injection using microscope. ② The patients were evaluated for twice with the standards suggested by American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) at admission and 2-4 weeks postoperatively,in order to investigate the efficacy in different age groups,different sites and at different time points after the OEC transplantation. ③ Standards for evaluation: The International Standard for Neurological and Functional Classification of Spinal Cord Injury set by ASIA: The highest score of motor function was 100 points; The highest score of sensory function was 112 points for light touch and 112 for acupuncture sense. Frankel grading modified by ASIA in 1992: grades A,B,C,D and E (grade A for complete injury,and grade E for normal). ④ The data were statistically processed by Professor Cheng from the Department of Statistics,Taishan Medical College. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Changes of motor and sensory functions postoperatively. RESULTS: All the 106 patients with old spinal cord injury were involved in the analysis of results. Grade A (n =72) at admission recovered to grade B in 31 cases and grade C in 7 cases after operation; Grade B (n =9) recovered to grade C in 2 cases; Grade C (n =15) recovered to grade D in 4 cases; Grade D (n =10) recovered to grade E in 1 cases,which referred to normal sensory and motor functions. The scores of motor,tactile sensation and pain sensation postoperatively were all obviously higher than those at admission (t =5.381,7.036,7.775,P < 0.05). The recovery of motor function had obvious difference among patients of different ages (F =5.235,P =0.001). There were no obvious differences in the recovery of motor and sensory functions among patients of different sexes,courses,injured types and sites. CONCLUSION: The neurological function can be ameliorated in a short time after OEC transplantation in patients with old spinal cord injury. | 19 | Development and application of the multi-wavelength cavity ring-down aerosol extinction spectrometer显示文摘To better characterize the optical properties of atmospheric aerosols, the multi-wavelength cavity ring-down aerosol extinction spectrometer(MCRD-AES) is developed and applied in this study. By using tunable light source and four parallel cavities, the MCRD-AES covers a wide and atmospherically relevant wavelength range from 360 to 663 nm. Four wavelengths(375 nm, 440 nm, 532 nm, and 620 nm) are particularly tested with ammonium sulfate and nigrosine. The refractive index values obtained from this study agree well with literature data. The stability and accuracy of the MCRD-AES are tested, and the minimum detectable extinction coefficient is 0.5 1/Mm. | 20 | Development and strengthening mechanisms of a hybrid CNTs@SiCp/Mg-6Zn composite fabricated by a novel method显示文摘The hybrid addition of CNTs was used to improve both the strengths and ductility of SiCp reinforced Mg matrix composites.A novel method was developed to simultaneously disperse SiCp and CNTs in Mg melt.Firstly,new CNTs@SiCp hybrid reinforcements were synthesized by CVD.Thus,CNTs were well pre-dispersed on the SiCp surfaces before they were added to Mg melt.Therefore,the following semisolid stirring and ultrasonic vibration dispersed the new hybrid reinforcements well in Mg-6Zn melt.The hybrid composite exhibits some unique features in microstructures.Although the distribution of SiCp was very uniform in the Mg-6Zn matrix,most CNTs distributed along the strips in the state of micro-clusters,in which CNTs were bonded very well with Mg matrix.Most of the CNTs kept their structure integrity during fabrication process.All these factors ensure that the hybrid composite have much higher strength and elongation than the mono SiC/Mg-6Zn composites.The dominant strengthening mechanism is the load transfer effect of CNTs.Apart from grain refinement,the CNTs toughen the composites by impeding the microcrack propagation inside the material.Thus,the hybrid CNTs@SiCp successfully realizes the reinforcing advantage of“1+1>2”. | Chao Ding Xiaoshi Hu Hailong Shi Weimin Gan Kun Wu Xiaojun Wang | 2021 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,4: | 3 |
